Walked in to the optometrist office and was seen right away. The people there were incredibly friendly and very professional. This visit was for my 12 year old daughter. She didn’t know what to expect, at first. The staff was so cool. They just cut up with us like we were just a couple of regulars. The examination was so fast and thorough. We then proceeded to select her frames that she wanted. Amazing selection and Chris, who helped us, was very knowledgeable and super friendly! This whole experience took just 45 minutes from start to finish and we get the glasses the same day! Why go anywhere else! They have my business from here on out! Thank you Chris for making my daughter feel comfortable with this experience. Awesome!!!

They were very prompt and professional with my daughters exam and new eyeglasses. The Optometrist explained everything very well and answered all of our questions. They had a large selection of glasses to choose from in a range of price points. Sonja was very friendly and helpful on the optical side. She went out of her way for us to be able to have her glasses ready promptly.

I have been going to this Knoxville location for years now, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else I’ll stay with them. I also read some of the reviews, and I can’t believe some of the bad reviews. I am from out of state and ended up jumping in the lake with my glasses on and losing them. It was not my smartest moment and I could barely see without them. Sonjia helped me figure out my insurance and get the glasses I needed. She is great at customer service and has the gift of people skills. Dr. Barton was also incredible. She found something with my eyes that has been overlooked everywhere else. I’ve had the same issue for 5+ years. But, she took the time to listen and performed a test that had never been done before. Problem found.

Dr. Bartons staff member Jim squeezed me in on a moments notice today and Dr. Barton did a great job on my exam, I felt very comfortable with her. I dealt with Chris today for my eyeglass fitment and lens order and he was really helpful and he told me I could come back in a few hours and my glasses would be done. I walked in a bit later and they indeed had them cut and ready for me to wear. When I got to the counter Nieka took the time to replace the nose pads for me and and we had a nice conversation then Chris remembered me and stepped over and greeted me again and make sure I was happy. Everyone there was so friendly. I cant help but recommend this business. On a side not they were the least inexpensive around from the eye exam to the glasses and lenses so I really feel like I got a great deal today.

They are nice and seem to do decent work for the most part. However, one of the lenses they made didnt quite fit - it moves around in the frame. I asked for a replacement, but they said they couldnt do any better.

My boyfriend lost his glasses whole swimming in Norris Lake I called eye glass world and spoke to Teresa . she had me contact the office he had his last exam at she then spoke to Lynn in the lab they had his glasses made and we where able to pick up with in a few hours. Best service EVER !!!!!

Chris was great to work with he preordered our lens stock and had everything ready for us when we got into town on a very short window to get our glasses. He did the measurements and the glasess (4pairs) ready the same day. The glasses were done well and fit great. We highly recommend them.

Very very helpful Teresa was super understanding my dad and I lost our glasses in the lake and he got his glasses in a couple hours and I came in 45 minutes before closing and Teresa made sure that my glasses would be ready before closing with the help of Lynn in the lab we were both able to get to get 3 pairs done in the same day wow I really recommend coming here amazing customer service !!!

I have been going to eye glass world for several years and they are always so kind and helpful. Amanda always helps me pick out the most amazing glasses, she knows my love for Vera Bradley frames and every year I am pleased with my new pair!

Amanda went above and beyond for us. I was stressed out having to replace my daughters glasses that our dog chewed up, and then I broke mine while we were sitting there. She made the whole experience so much less stressful with her genuine willingness to help us.

2 day was the 1st eye exam Ive had in over 9 yrs w/same pair of glasses that I do sleep in. My husband/I always went 2 Dr. Bizers at E. Town Mall sadly they closed. Dr. Kimberly Barton n Eric was extremely fantastic both had loads of patience. She was very sympathetic 2 all my needs. She went that XTRA mile, answering all my questions(on my part there were quite a few. She never rushed me like other Dr.s do this Im grateful/very appreciated for. Eric her tech was extremely nice n understanding. The only issue I had was once Dr. Barton gave me my script/I went 2 the other room 2 pick out some frames/Chris kept telling me that larger frames were in style right now! Im 46 yrs old I dont care what others think, I wanted smaller frames n her just kept bringing me larger frames that in my opinion look awful. I wanted purple frames but they only had 4-5 Purple frames most were plastic which doesnt have any give to them. So I ask 4 some space 2 look around 2 c what I could find on my own. Eventually I found a red pain that had spring coils on the ear pieces(4 me Im less likely 2 break them considering I sleep in my glasses n have for over 10 yrs...) Well the red frames were metal w/spring & small for my tiny face. Ladies there comes a point in ur life u have 2 say NO I dont like this/that/other plain n simple dont let men/women control the situation....Find whats right 4 u I mean its gonna be on ur face not theirs ya know....Take back ur power...But over all my experience was way better than some other places Ive tried 2 go 2(which ended in me walking out) My mom recommended me 2 just go try our Dr. K. Barton...ON that note Id recommend u 2 try her/Eye World out. Im only giving it 4 stars cause of the guy I had 2 deal w/...But I get 2 pick up my glasses 2 morrow thats a big plus...My appointment time was at 3:20 p.m. if Id made an earlier app. Im sure I wouldve gotten my glasses that day... Keep that in mind especially if u live out of town....Just 2 more thing theres only limited parking like 12 spaces so either get there very early once they open or prepare 2 park/walk a great deal....Best Wishes all Stay Safe

Store workers are great, but the optometrist office at this location has poor customer service. Be careful that you try the contacts they prescribe within 30 days. After that short window of time, they will NOT help you out without charging you again if the prescription is bad...which it was for me. I am not going back here for an exam again.

This company is amazing! From back in June of 2020 when they were amazing in helping me get my perfect frames, to today when my frames unfortunately broke last night and they helped me in the most amazing way and I walked out with my perfect frames again. Got an eye exam and picked out frames. Eric advised there company doesnt offer lens for me because my eyes are too close together. Advised I go to lenscrafters, but refused to give me measurements I paid for because I wasnt getting glasses through them. Also, probably dont tell your customer they have a big head and small eyes. Called the number and asked if they would take me in for an eye exam. The lady that answered was short and said they do accept walk ins but no guarantees. I drive there only to be told the soonest they can take me is next Thursday! Why couldnt she say that on the phone? I literally drove right after I talked to her.

So I have been going here since I was a child, and I have to say the customer service is lousy, but their were some great employees as well.I had an issue with my 2nd pair of glasses back in late January (slightly scratched) Which I had a warranty for, and the first issue I had with Eye Glass World is they had my glasses for 2 weeks, and never called until I went in, and asked after about my glasses, and giving them my update for my number Twice!Further more; My glasses were fixed, but the frames on the left side stabs into my nose, and one of the ladies was trying to argue with me, and make it seem like it’s my fault, when they were the ones who “Fixed” my glasses!?She didn’t even want to replace, or fix anything, even though I asked politely, and explained.I went back a 2nd time towards the evening on another day, and had my nose pads replaced like I asked the first time, and Courtney was AWSOME, but my 2nd pair of glasses are still unwearable, and very uncomfortable to this day...Anyways; I’m going to another eye glass company for my next pair of glasses in the near future!(Stay Blessed everyone; Peace)

Bad costumer service. There are a couple of nice people in there but most are rude. I have been getting my glasses there for over a decade but I believe this to be my last. The prices have consistently gone up while the efficiency and the service went down. Some should learn some manners and a reminder, being nice goes a long way. I am no longer recommending this place to anyone I know. I can be treated rude and get cheaper glasses anywhere else.

Their customer service could be better. Called to request my prescription through fax. I gave them my fax number and was told it was going to be sent In 10 minutes, then 40 minutes went by...no fax. I called them again asking for my prescription, they told me they are sending it right then. It is now a day later...still no fax.

I have a pretty expensive pair of sunglasses that have become warped over time, and Ive kinda just been ignoring them for about a year because I didnt know how to fix them/if I could afford to do so. I brought them in here and they were straightened in like 10 seconds, and they gave me a case that fits the glasses, all for free. Absolutely amazing service. Ill definitely be back if I have any more glasses-related troubles :)

I have an upcoming appointment and called to inquire about price matching with Americas best on the frames I am interested in. The man who answered said we dont price match honey. Which is fine but the condescending tone and calling me honey is not professional. Not sure if I should keep my appointment if that is their idea of customer service.

Unfortunately this review has nothing to do with the quality of the optometry services or eye ware that they offer, as we were never able to get an appointment scheduled to experience that. My wife called there four times to set up an appointment for an eye exam. Each time a human being answered the phone, and then, after asking about appointment times, the person switched her to an automated message stating they were unable answer her call (?), and to leave a message. So, they are getting one star for their lack of interest in our business.

I was on vacation with my close friend when her glasses broke. We saw the reviews for this Eye glass world and wanted to see for ourselves! The girl behind the desk named Lacey was super sweet while answering our questions about the exam and paperwork. Lauren was doing the testing really made us feel welcome while being here. The Doctor that was on duty was Dr.Koslawski. She was amazing! she really took the time to explain what was going on with the health of my friends eyes and really broke down her prescription. When we went out front the prices were amazing!! Everyone out front was very nice and helpful in helping my friend pick out her glasses. She even got them back really fast! She rocked those glasses the rest of our trip. We are beyond thankful to Eye glass world for saving our vacation! If you are in the local area this place is a MUST!

Everyone in the store was super nice and friendly. However TN law wont let them make glasses if your prescription is over two years old, which stinks when you need glasses in an emergency and dont have time to have an exam.

These people are amazing! Everybody was super helpful and friendly. I had to get emergency glasses because I got pinkeye. It was Easter weekend and I was desperate because I didn’t have back up glasses. I went in at 5:30pm and I got both pairs right around 6:40pm before they closed. They went above and beyond to help me. It was a holiday weekend so they didn’t have to do it but they did anyway. Highly recommend. Also, best prices in town. You get a pair of glasses for 79.00???? Sold.

First off 99for 2 pair is bs 2nd i paid near 700 for 2 pair that i still cant see out of they refuse to fix problems blaim me eye dr for what they made back in March im never ever going back there very misleading and do not stand behind there work for that amount cash for plastic glasses im not impressed at all

I have never written a poor review before but I am disappointed enough in my experience at Eyeglass World that I am writing my first one today. Eyeglass World sales reps assisted three other parties that came in after me before anyone sat down to speak with me. Had I been assisted in the order in which I arrived, I would have been there for 15 minutes. However, it was 40 minutes later that anyone sat down to speak with me. When I was finally assisted, I was unable to order the contacts that I wanted. That is fine. However, I should not have sat in the store for 40 minutes while individuals that came in after me were served before me. Unfortunately, I was not a valued customer at this establishment and I will not return. A solution to this poor customer service practice would be a sign in sheet. Implementation of this solution might assist Eyeglass World with customer retention and a more positive experience for customers.

I love the friendly staff. They are always smiling and joking. I love that they can do that with customers. Personal service is excellent. Last person I spoke to on the phone was just a bit rude. Possibly had a bad day? I only go here for my exams and glasses. I highly recommend them.

I was pleased with the entire experience. There was a very good selection of frames at various pricepoints and costs were incredibly competitive.I ended up with 2 pairs, both with lightweight lenses and one with transitions lenses. I only took one day and the results were great. Service was thorough and the rep explained everything to my satisfaction. I would recommend them to anyone.

Got 2 complete pairs for $80 AND with same day turnaround. But what really made the experience stand out was the fitting, courtesy of Mark. Ive been wearing glasses for 15 years and have never been fit so well. Mark demonstrated real knowledge, skill, and concern. Highly recommended.

I would give a one star if it weren’t for Chris because hes the only helpful one there. The lady that resized my glasses obviously doesn’t know what she’s doing, my glasses were slightly crooked and she readjusted them all out of whack! Now they are more uncomfortable then they were before and she resized another pair and they hurt my ears! This sucks cause it’s to far of a drive to go right back.and the dark haired heavy set guy needs a better attitude, he’s very snooty!

Although they accidentally broke my own frame, they gave me a new frame which is as good as my previous one for free. I loved my old frame a lot but I am comfortable with my new glasses now. They are truly trying to satisfy their customers.

I had a truly great experience with this location on Saturday, March 10, 2018. The doctor and her assistant were able to work me in even though there were no appointments available and they were both very thorough and explained things well. Then, when I stepped into the store to choose eyeglasses and contacts, I was approached by Sonja and I am so glad! She was very personable and eager to help me pick out some frames that would be flattering. By the time I left there, I felt like Sonja and I were old friends. I will never go to another eyeglasses store as long as Eyeglass World employs individuals like Sonja.

Do not use Dr. Barton for your eye exam unless you are ok with someone who rushes and doesnt let you ask questions. I took my 8 year old daughter in yesterday to get an eye exam because she had troubling seeing far away. We waited in the room for 40minutes until Dr. Barton rushed into the room. She quickly did an eye exam and then she said my daughter needed glasses as she quickly opened the door and left. I was shocked. She didnt even bother to see if I had questions or to tell me just what my daughters eyesight was. I had to ask the guy at the front desk those questions. He said Dr. Barton was behind. Really? So thats how she treats her patients, so she can catch up. I will never go here again. There are too many optometrists in town to deal with this. Do yourself a favor and avoid this office at all costs.

Came in as a walk-in not really expected to be seen. The girls in the office were very sweet, and explained everything to me very well. The Doctor was also very sweet while taking her time to make sure i was satisfied with my exam. I then went out to look at glasses. I was met by a man named John. Seemed to know exactly what would look the best on me while explaining why. Not pressure very laid back. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for honesty with some amazing smiling faces!!!

Eye exam at 5, picked out glasses at 5:45, got my new rx glasses at 6:45 - they took my insurance and EVERY member of the staff was as nice as could be. I cant recommend this place strongly enough.

My child had a great experience with Dr. Barton about a month ago so I decided to go in myself. Unfortunately I was seen by Dr. K who maybe spent 5 minutes with me! The woman was more concerned about changing the channels while I was in the waiting room then actually taking time on my exam. I have terrible vision, couldnt really distinguish what was better, 1 or 2? as the letters I could actually see wouldnt stay in focus. She seemed annoyed if I asked her to do them again and, when I struggled, just decided on her own which one to slam in place. So now I dont even trust this perscription she shoved in my hands before saying, Go next door and theyll get you some glasses, right before she rushed out of the room. I followed her out because I had a few questions. She basically said my prescription hadnt changed much, but would make my vision a little crisper. Okay, well any suggestions on helping me see MORE than I do? Contacts? Surgery? Suggestions would have been nice, but clearly she didnt care! I have worn glasses since I was 5 years old. I have moved around a lot and have seen many different optometrists. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had! I didnt even bother getting new glasses, which I know I need, but not from there! I never write reviews, but this needed saying. I work in a fast-paced industry too providing customer service. I could have at least understood if she was slammed, but no, she was sitting around a good while before they took me back. Had time to fool with the TV twice. I was not being a difficult customer. Believe me, I know what they are! There was just no excuse besides lack of concern. So disappointed.

It isnt buy one get one free, when you inflate the prices 250%+++!!!! I tried to purchase glasses here, and the buy one get one free or the 2 for $78 (although I had picked out 2 frames that were $150) turned out to be nearly $500!!! You dont get the 2nd pair free, trust me, youre paying for them, and then some! So, I purchased a pair online, and ended up with the best pair of glasses Ive ever purchased for a little over $100!!! My total was $131, and that included the fast shipping option that cost $19.... EyeBuyDirect took care of me! Unless you want to get ripped off, I would not purchase my eyeglasses at EyeGlass World! What a ripoff! They force you to purchase 2 pairs, and trust me, youre not getting anything free!!!
