Best auto repair service in Lansing and surrounding areas by far. Ive been constantly disappointed and ripped off by repair shops from Mason, to Williamston, to Holt, to Grand Ledge. But this place has excellent customer service, the most reasonable prices, and the quickest repair time. I wouldnt take my vehicle anywhere else.

Theyre quick, cost effective, and trustworthy. They always let me know exactly what is wrong with my car and what truly is needed. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Very timely service when they have an appointment. Some work is a bit excessive making some things more expensive, but helps the car/truck overall. The alignment service they use is definitely lacking. Great for some work such as a/c, but not others like steering components.

My husband and I have been going to Alex and his men for about 15 years now. They are honest, quick with their diagnosis and repairs. We wont take our cars anywhere else.

This is a great, trustworthy place to get your car fixed. I’m a young girl and it’s often hard for me to find a mechanic with my best interest in mind. These guys offered me great service for a fraction of the other estimates I got and they took good care of me and my car without trying to charge me for unnecessary things. Alex (the owner) was very knowledgeable about what he does. The guys at the shop did the necessary work to get my car back on the road and did not try to over price me. This shop will not try to charge you for work that does not need to be done like some other places might. They went above and beyond to make the things I needed to be done on my car but didn’t currently have money for would hold over until I did. All in all, I have found myself a mechanic and I’m definitely satisfied so far with their work! #timely and #affordable

I’ve been taking my vehicles to Low Cost Auto Repair for the past 3 1/2 years. I find the service to be reputable, timely and professional. I’ve never had to take my vehicle back for a follow up service because the original repair was not completed correctly. I’ll continue to take my vehicles there. Cheaper then taking it to the dealer.

I live an hour away and I always make sure I come to see Alex whenever I have car problems. He goes out of his way to help me and always gives me a fair price. I trust him with my car and to give me honest advice. This is by far the best auto shop I have ever been too.

Alex always gives us great service at an amazing price. More often than not, he has saved us money on not only the repair, but the parts as well. Hes come in on Saturday for us, squeezed us in on a moments notice and even sent his guys out to the house to install a battery when it was 10 degrees outside and the truck wouldnt crank. An all around great experience, and always both fast and honest. As long as Im in the Lansing area, these are my guys for auto service and repair. Glad I gave them a shot.

These guys had us bring my car in at 830 in the morning had it till 3 in the afternoon and didnt do anything to it. They gave me a diagnosis that so far seems to not even be right.

Stay away from! You definitely get what you pay for. I took my car to them and they do things so you have to bring your car back multiple times. They didnt tighten screws, didnt reconnect parts, didnt even fix the problem i went there for. They created more problems with my car after i took it to them. I just went and had my car fixed by another shop and they fixed everything . If i could i would rate an 0!

Im writing this review a year later because when I brought my vehicle here I was struggling with a high risk pregnancy. Now that I, and my son, are out of the hospital I have the time. If I could rate it with no stars I would.I brought my vehicle here because I live in the neighborhood and like to keep business local as much as I can. I had a coolant leak and needed the water pump replaced so I also requested a timing job.Below are the series of events... you can make your own assessment.I brought my vehicle in for repair and it was returned to me with a check engine light on, a loud engine noise and duct tape around a pressurize intake hose. The receipt said a small pin size hole. When I got home I immediately called and spoke with Alex, the owner, and asked him to do right by me and fix it (the timing and the issue with the check engine light). Alex told me he would. He later called and told me the check engine was from a thermostat and they could fix it for $250. I picked the vehicle up and took it to AutoZone and had the code read. It was a code for timing not thermostat. Knowing that I was given false information, I decided to remove the duct tape over the pin size hole. The hole was not a pin size hole, it was in fact about 2 inches by about 4 inches and it was damaged by one of the belts coming in contact with it. I drove the vehicle back and spoke to Alex again. I once again, asked Alex to do right by me and simply fix the hose that was damaged at his shop and fix the timing. I didnt want my money back I just wanted him to fix the timing and the hose (what I paid for). Alex told me the hole was from the engine moving after I drove home (a block away) and it has nothing to do with the repair job. Again, false information but for the second time he promised to fix the timing AND replace the hose.A few days later Alex called and said the check engine light was off so in an effort to be fair, my boyfriend a mechanic, spoke with Alex and offered to check out the engine and see if it was unstable. We checked it out and no, the engine wasnt shifting around and sure enough, the check engine light was still on. Also the vehicle was left unlocked (overnight) in their lot by the road. So, I had to empty everything out of the car because I couldnt trust them to lock it.The next day I called Alex and he said he cant figure it out and to come pick it up.What?!So, I had it towed to Williams VW. VW confirmed it was a botched timing job and spoke to Alex about it as well. I spent another $1800 getting it fixed by VW. When I asked Alex for a refund because he has a year warranty with repairs he threw his wifes business card at me and said contact my wife. She is a lawyer. Well, my pregnancy was more important than the stress of going to court over $1000. So, Alex the owner ripped me off and his young mechanic lied to him about the damage he did to my vehicle.

Unless you want to bring your car back multiple times and still end up with a bad job ..Go Somewhere else a!!
