Replace CVT trans fluid and filter. This did improve the performance of the trans. When I went to pick up the vehicle I noticed a leak. One of the service techs put it back up on the rack to check and said there is a dent in my oil pan and that is what is leaking. I had a friend check the vehicle when I got home and he said 7 of the bolts to the transmission were loose and NOT Torqued to specks. That is what was causing the leak.AAMCO was going to charge me another $350 to change out the oil pan that was not leakingUpdate; Thank you Brad for putting the car back up on the rack and go over things with me. I feel that you resolved the issue that was discussed. For your quick response and costumer service, I will be coming back for future service.
Decided to go with Lebanon AAMCO at the last minute and am so glad I did! Rob & his team were wonderful to work with. The entire process was fast, efficient, friendly and accommodating. Rob kept me informed of their progress along the way. They also give veteran and senior discounts! Will use again.
The whole team at AAMCO is great. Had my car towed there on a Saturday evening after they had closed. I talked to Rob, the manager, first thing on Monday morning and they had the problem diagnosed within 2 hours, and the car was back to me, like new, the next day. All for a reasonable price. Thank you!
The guy that helped me was fabulous. I thought the transmission was a junk in my wifes car. He had found that the cat. Was plugged up & that there was a service call out on it from the manufacturer. Didnt charge me for his time either. Given that level of honesty & knowledge I would recommend this shop to anyone & would definitely go there again if the situation arises. Thanks AAMCO
Replaced my transmission recently they are very fast at getting you in and out. Truck runs great no problems. Rob and his crew are great and will take good care of you.
This ordeal started when my sons 2500 series dodge truck clutch went out in Chattanooga tn. He towed it to Aamco transmission in Chattanooga (not sure which one). They replaced the clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. He paid them$1900 dollars and some change and return home to franklin tn a couple weeks later. The truck was making a noise before he got back home. After several months of me pestering him to get it looked at (while still under warranty)He took the truck to Aamco in Nashville. They transferred the truck to Lebanon branch where their manual transmission specialist works. These guys had the truck for over a month and diligently attempted every conceivable repair that could be performed to both the clutch and the transmissionbut to no avail. After several weeks of trying different repairs the manager Rob called me and said he had tried everything he knew to do, but was unsuccessful and the transmission was still making the noise.Mr. Rob honored the Chattanooga warranty for his expenses incurred and did not charge him for the work they did performed . The issue apparently, is a missing piece off the slave cylinder that is allowing the throw out bearing to keep contact with the pressure plate when the gears are engaged. This missing piece is no longer available for purchase as oem part, additionally, this part has no aftermarket alternative. Whereas I would not recommend the Chattanooga location, as they are the culprit of the missing item, I do recommend Robs location for all of your transmission needs. Even though their repair attempts were unsuccessful their integrity remains in tact. Good guys, hard workers, and absolutely honestAsk for Rob, he will be there when you need him.Thank you for your service Rob
I came across AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care on YELP. We just moved to town and needed to find a trusted and proficient auto shop and mechanic. Rob, who runs the AAMCO is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We take all our vehicles there for repairs and are happy with the service. Our family highly recommends this AAMCO in Lebanon,TN.
Rob the manager and the boss Brad are both A1+They both are very knowledgeable about cars, very friendly, and they make you feel at ease no matter what your car problems are.Their mechanics can fix anything.
Prompt professional replaced the alternator fast and quick.got the warranteed battery changed with no extra moneytook me back and forth the the rental car agency. Thanks for great help for an out-of-town motorist.KMM
These people dont know the difference between a transmission and a lug nut. I took my truck in for the transmission to be rebuilt. $5600 dollars later it was the same as when I dropped it off. Rob said it was normal for a transmission to grind. He said you gotta give it the ole one two before shifting. He thinks everyone is as dumb as he is. They are unprofessional and they are con artists. Before you decide to take your vehicle here check out the bbb ratings. Him and the owner even convinced the judge my transmission is supposed to grind. Shady people with shoddy work
Fast service. Labor fees seemed higher than average
Very overpriced. Charged $136 just to do a diagnostic on my transmission and then quoted me $3200 for a rebuild. Got the rebuild done for $1200 cheaper at Mr transmission and they didnt charge me a storage fee.
I was in a tough spot in my life but AAMCO in Lebanon, TN was there for me when my car needed service. Took care of me like I was family. I really appreciate it. Good people, service, and business. Thank you!
Excellent service love Mr Rob!!!! Best shop in Lebanon tell them Amanda sent you!
They were very helpful. Our car was even done before the estimated time helping us get back to our lives faster. They were knowledgeable and pointed out issues we thought were taken care of. Would definitely recommend.
They were very professional, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced! Will definitely recommend and use again!
Was treated very professionally and am extremely pleased with their service!
Rob has amazing customer service. The service is fast and prices were better than all the other places we found. Such a hard and tedious job was done in a great time frame. Definitely will keep all of our vehicle related business with them!
They were professional, accommodating, efficient and the result was excellent! The car is running better than it has I years. I highly recommend them!
Great experience! I am travelling from out of town, so their knowledge was much appreciated! The manager was honest and explained the problems to me well. He could have oversold me, but he didnt! In fact, he found a solution that saved me money!
Start off With how amazing customer service is. They OFFERED to come get my vehicle. Sadly, I was a little unsure about it until I put my faith into them and now I never wanna go anywhere else for a mechanic. Best mechanic in middle TN.
I was traveling from Gatlinburg to the Nashville airport on I-40 when my serpentine belt gave out. I had my car towed 40 miles to AAMCO. They immediately took me in and told me that my tension pulley had failed as well. Within an hour and a half they had me up and running. I headed to the airport and made my flight. These guys are great. I recommend Rob and the crew above everyone else.
I wanted to give 5 stars and at the sameTime less than 4. Rob at the front desk is super nice, professional and helpful. The one problem I had with this visit, is when I got my vehicle back, it smelled like an ash tray. I was very put off by this as a non smoker who hates this smell. Besides this, I was pleased with my visit to Aamco.
Excellent diagnostic skills. Terribly expensive parts and labor. I paid $100 for an elusive diagnostic and took it elsewhere for repair (parts and labor), and I saved 40%...instead of paying $1000 here, I paid another place $500 to fix my car. Add the $100 diagnostic fee, I still saved $400. Aamco does have a lifetime warranty but I own my cars for a couple years and sell/trade up so its not worth it to me.
Took care in for small transmission leak, repaired. Was not expecting to find more issues needing repaired, have to trust what being told is correct. Service and friendly atmosphere great. Car returned when said it would be.
I went in to get my truck looked at and was greeted by Rob who makes it a point to make sure you’re well taken care of. They were upfront about everything with no pressure. I was in and out within an hr and a half. Would definitely recommend them at least taking a look at your vehicle.
Did a great job
Rob at AAMCO in Lebanon is great! Fair and honest. Great customer service and professionalism. Highly recommend this AAMCO location.
They did a vehicle inspection for us before buying a car and they did a great job at a reasonable me price. Thank you for your help!
Expensive, but theyll take care of you and by that I mean rip you off and fix your vehicle
AAMCO in Lebanon, TN is fantastic! They were extremely courteous and priced competitively. Brad and Aaron made sure that I was well informed with every piece of information applicable to my vehicle. They actually use the caller i.d. and will address you by your name. The warranty on the transmission rebuild is top tier. And, most importantly, my transmission shifts excellent! If you are considering any service from oil change to transmission service, please do yourself a favor and go see Brad at AAMCO in Lebanon, TN.
I had my transmission rebuilt and master brake cylinder replaced. I like having a nationwide warranty.
This place is staffed with con artists. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever came across in all my years of dealing with auto repairs. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to get your vehicle in, just to get your money and give you the run around. It’s over priced. They weren’t honest about the reason for the hold up on my vehicle. If they hadn’t already started repairs on my vehicle I would’ve had them to give me my vehicle back so that I can take it to a more honest, reliable, and timely shop. After what seemed like forever, I finally received my vehicle back and swore to never use this place again, nor recommend it.
Rob and his team are friendly and even went the second mile to find out if our issue was covered under warranty. Thank you!
Rob and his team were very helpful
Remarkable professionalism. I have had several repairs done here. Each time I have been extremely satisfied and excited once I finally get back in my truck. I drive a 1989 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat 302 V8 4*4. AAMCO has rebuilt the transfer case, the throttle body, the steering box, replaced the clutch, fly wheel, shifter, master brake cylinder, replaced the front brakes, and given me one oil change. Each and every time the work has been completed promptly and correctly. Usually within 1-3 days. They even gave me a loaner truck for a simple oil change. This AAMCO of Lebanon, Tennessee is excellent for any one in need of an honest and hard working mechanic!
So I have been to several mechanics in the past and around 4 years ago I found this AAMCO. Since I found them they have done all repairs I have needed on all my vehicles from AC & Axles to a completely new engine install in my truck. I drive a long distance to work every day and I know when I pick my car up from being fixed at AAMCO its fixed and I can trust the work that was done. Over the years I have also figured out that AAMCO is cheaper than other shops as they correctly diagnose the issue which saves you from paying for additional parts and labor for items that weren’t broken. They explain things in a way the I am able to understand and I would trust them with my children. In all honesty the feel more like an extension of my family rather than a mechanics shop. You can tell they care and they show it with their actions.
Do not know how to properly fill transmission be careful check personally. I went and had truck serviced new filter and fluid put in get it back and been driving it daily got it at 154000 now has 174000 I had no clue that the fluid had been overfilled tremendously past the hot mark on cold start I noticed to check the fluid just yesterday bc Ive noticed hard shift and slipping going into 3rd at 40 mph Im very aggravated with this Ive gone over 20000 miles with it like this and the fluid is very foamy I will be having them get it back to normal level and see if it fixes it if not Ill be expecting them to rebuild my transmission with absolutely no cost because of there negligence I do not understand how someone could be so rude and purposely cause sabotage to a fellow customers vehicle this is utterly ridiculous I highly doubt I will take my truck there for any other services after this is resolved thank you for taking time to read this Im just letting the people know to watch who you trust and make sure to double check yourself if you can or find someone who can thank you again and have a good day.
Great service and fast. Kept me updated. Will definitely go back
Always a great experience. They do great work and stand by it. It’s the only shop I use. Thanks guys for the excellent service
Great shop. Rob was very helpful. My 1997 F-250 diesel is in top condition again.
I highly recommend this shop for automotive service; the Lebanon AAMCO has knowledgeable and trustworthy staff who care about their work and their customers. I had transmission issues with my 02 Crown Vic, and brought it in for a transmission fluid exchange to address a torque converter problem. AAMCO charge a little more than other shops in town, but I am completely satisfied with the work they did. The mechanics pay attention to details and willingly take the time to explain their observations. The mechanic who serviced my vehicle also caught a failing torque converter solenoid, and we promptly got that replaced. (He also found that a mud dauber nest had blocked a vent that contributed to the transmission issues, and cleared that off for me.)I trust that this facility has cultivated a good culture of helping people get their vehicles serviced as efficiently as possible, and they care about doing good work.
I changed my own transmission and needed the computers reprogrammed for the replacement trans to work. They fixed the issue and were very helpful. Trustworthy people. Thank you!
This place is top notch. Period.
Rick Wolfenbarger is an amazing manager of this facility! His dedication and customer service is second to none! Thanks Rick for fixing my car at a speedy rate. Your mechanic was awesome too!
Pretty helpful employees and always ask to see your old parts or even let them video the job on your vehicle. These giys are good, they wont mind.
Steer clear of this place! Got the work done on my car, it came back out of alignment. When I called they said when we drop the carriage it will come out of align some, but they never thought to tell me or fix it until I complained, then tried to charge me. They told me come back in 10 days let us check the fluids, do a drive and be sure it isnt showing any codes, I get there and they try to charge me for that too! They are crooks, very poor management and customer service is null! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They do not care about you at all after the sale.
On our way to our new home in NC from MO, a u joint went out in our truck. Naturally we were pulling a trailer and our pets were also along for the trip. We went to 3 different places to see if they could help us and we were told they were all booked up but try xxx...so finally we pulled into AAMCO and asked them if they could help...they didn’t bat an eye. They took the drive shaft out for us and had us back on the road in 20 min. And they didnt charge us, just wished us well and sent us on our way. I CAN NOT say enough good about them! Definitely a new lifetime customer!! Renews our faith in humanity!! (Thank you, Fudge!)
By far the best customer service we have ever received!!! While working with us to fix a transmission issue on a new but used vehicle our son had just bought, it became very clear to us that the main goal for this business was customer satisfaction and a job not finished until it was done right!! Brad, the owner, and Matt worked with us by keeping open communication regarding the problem and the steps needed to correct it. They welcomed our input and any concerns or questions we had. The technicians have a good working knowledge of their vocation and are kind and courteous. I would say the motto at Aamco in Lebanon is that The job is only complete when the customer is satisfied. They fixed our transmission issue and we are very satisfied with the efforts and customer care we received from Brad, Matt, and the technicians at Aamco in Lebanon. We strongly recommend them as the first choice in Lebanon for transmission or other general car repairs. - Todd, Barbara, and Will Ferrell.
These people are great. I had them rebuild a rearend for my classic car and it turned out PERFECT. They are A+ in the personality department as well. Friendly and easy to deal with.
Best customer service I have experienced in a long time!! Came in last minute with an issue, they took it right back, fixed the problem and even delivered it to my door at work.... A+++ Aamco
They will rip you off. Customer service is horrible and their prices are way overpriced. Will tell you that they need to do $1500.00 of work to fix the problem only they have no idea what the problem is. $471.00 for a starter that was working when I dropped off the truck? They take offense and get upset when you ask too many questions. Do not trust them!!! There is probably a reason that they keep getting new people in the front office to greet you. Stay away.
Avoid this place at all costs! By the time they were done with my mini van... It was almost 10 times the quoted price! Also the people here are some of the most unprofessional employese Ive ever met. And to top it all off the told me since I couldnt afford to pay the full balance they would KEEP my van until I could. Im a single mom of 3! Absolutely the worst experience Ive ever had! I will be letting my family and friends know to avoid avoid avoid.
They are fantastic! They got me in and out in a reasonable time, and charged fairly. I would recommend to anyone!
They took care of everything. Picked the car up and gave me a call when it was done
These guys were very good fair and honest and everything they told me
Buyer beware, I took my Truck here to get the transmission rebuilt thinking hey its AAMCO Transmissions, if anyone knows transmissions it should be them. WRONG. At first everything seemed okay with my Truck, so I took my wifes car there to get her transmission rebuilt. We have had nothing but problems. Both transmissions slam into gear. The honda slams into gear on takeoff and the Truck will slam into gear when it shifts going down the road at all speeds, both automatic by the way. The warranty was only two years on each vehicle, we just got the honda back over there before the warranty expired and they kept the car for two weeks and they said it was fine. To this day both are in disrepair...
I go to Aamco for every car repair I need done to my car. They take great care and pride into the work they do. I am a college student and they helped me out very much when it come to getting my car repaired for the long trips it makes. Thanks Brad and H.A.
Yes... I would like to state that the employee quoted me one price and then when I got there he changed the price...the price went from $1436-$2656 he stated that it changed because he had forgot to add the labor charge the labor charge was way too much the charge for Labor was $990 and I told him no I can’t let you work on my car because I was quoted $1436...So I change my mind
I was taking a load of stuff to Lebanon TN from upstate NY in my F-550 with gooseneck trailer loaded in tow memorial weekend and my transmission blew apart. I called AAMCO in Lebanon at 7:30am Sunday morning and Brad answered the phone. I explained what the transmission was doing, he asked if I needed a tow but I got the truck to their shop. Tuesday they looked at it and we decided a new transmission was the cheapest route. When the new transmission arrived they were already ready with mine out and put the new one in immediately. The customer service was excellent, every time I called I felt like I could see them smile through the phone as we talked. The overall price was very fair and they did a great job. H.A. even called the day after just to make sure my trip home went good.Thank you very much to everyone at Lebanon AAMCO and if I’m ever in the area I will stop by with donuts and coffee.
Fast, friendly service, I’ll definitely be coming back.
Took my call while on a family trip. Determined the potential problem could wait till I got back in town. Diagnosed the problem correctly and quickly and repaired the broken engine mount timely and for a fair price.
I LOVE the service I receive at your shop. You are always the first place I go when I need help with my car. I believe you go above and beyond with your customer service and I will ABSOLUTELY recommend Aamco Lebanon!
Had new brakes installed at aamco in Knoxville last month and had a problem in Nashville. Yesterday, Friday, contacted aamco in Lebanon they pushed me to the front of the line, spent 5 - 6 hours on my truck and made the repair at no charge to me. Very professional and friendly folks there. Anyone that might need any type of vehicle repair, in this area, contact them. Would like to thank all at the Aamco shop in Lebanon, TN.
Took car there after being told the taransmision was shot. Found out it wasnt the actuall transmission and repair was quick. Also other issues were found that Firestone missed. Im bringing my vehicles here from now on thanks Firestone.
Outstanding customer service.
They worked on my husbands vehicle multiple times problem was resolved but they stole a 50$ gift card.
Diagnostic
