Simply Decadent is my go to bakery. I was a little worried about my request for my daughters 2nd birthday cake, but as usual Simply Decadent superseded my expectations. If you are looking for a cake that looks amazing and tastes as amazing as it looks, then Simply Decadent is the place to go.

Wonderful bakery and great service! They delivered amazing cupcakes and cookies to my mother for her birthday when I could not be there for her in person. They also have great customer service - they responded to me super fast and were incredibly helpful and kind. Very friendly and great price for what you get! I hate going in there, and I will warn you do not go in if you have a sweet tooth! There are demons that live there! And theyre not even worried you know! They display them like theyre proud of them!

I called literally 17 bakeries for a Loteria themed cake and number 16 suggested Simply Decadent and I am impressed. Not only did they hit the mark on this cake.. The taste of the cake was ABSOLUTELY delicious!! It was beautifully made to perfection. Also inside the bakery smelled AMAZING! I can not wait to move closer to Lubbock to continue my business with them.

Called to get Birthday cupcakes, you would assume 30 cupcakes would come with better service. Noone at counter for a while then still wasnt greeted just walked past to than spend 50 dollars of stuff to a party in trash bag. Refused to give me box than made a fuss to give me a receipt. With so little to do and no customers its a shame. Soda shake had 10 cars deep in drive through and still greeted me from a distance and got all those cars out before I was even seen.

When planning my wedding I asked numerous girlfriends who they recommend for a cake and they ALL said Simply Decadent and know I know why. They were SO easy to work with and we got exactly what I wanted. I really wanted a modern cake and just something different than your average wedding cake while still having a classic element and they understood my vision perfectly! Not only was the cake my vision, it was absolutely delish!! I can not recommend them enough!

After planning all the minor details for my soon to be 3 year olds birthday, I forgot the most important thing! The cupcakes! I called 3 different bakeries that made gluten free desserts. ( My son is allergic to wheat/gluten) Simply Decadent was the only one who took an order of 2 dozen gluten free funfetti cupcakes with butter cream frosting on a Thursday to have them ready Friday evening. I am so so grateful to them for taking my order so last minute!!! They were beautifullydecorated and tasted great too! No one could tell they were gluten free and evyone wanted to know where we bought them! For sure plan to purchase again in the future.

These ladies are wonderful! I had one of those bad mommy moments where you are running around taking care of a million tiny things, and you forgot the one big thing, The Birthday Cake! Thankfully I found this cute little bakery, I explain my predicament and she says the sweet, comforting word, I think i can help you. Not only were they able to help me, but the cake was perfect. Looked as good as it tasted. Extremely grateful and happy.

Edit: Our 2nd time ordering and cake was wonderful. However our experience wasnt as great due to misinformation and lack of communication when placing the order. Please make sure it gets well explained of what exactly you are ordering, and that you understand how youre getting charged for what on the custom order so that there are no surprises. Still being fairly new to town, I didnt know where to acquire a decent cake, no references whatsoever and our event was planned last minute as well. So glad I found Simply Decadent, they were very polite, understanding and helpful. Very busy but now I understand why because our cake was so delicious!I ordered a 9 round cake; marbled. It was so good it kinda tasted like cookies and cream ice cream, yum! The icing was not too heavy like other buttercreams, it was light and fluffy, and not extremely sugary. Cake was light and moist.I highly recommend them. I will definitely be ordering from them in the future, with adequate notice time of course! Thank you!

We are new to Lubbock and enormously disappointed in this bakery. I ordered a $65 strawberry cake for my son’s 19th b’day. This was a huge disappointment to him and our entire family. It is the blandest cake I have ever tasted. ☹️ Grocery store bakery would have been a better option.

I gave this 1 star just so I could get to the point where I could write something. My daughter and I went here today mainly because they advertise all these delicious gluten free cupcakes. They had none. I asked when they might have some and the woman working the counter said she doesn’t know ... just whenever they have time for that. WHAT? We bought a gluten free brownie, a gluten free blueberry bar, and a regular brownie. The brownies were both inedible. Literally. Hard as rocks. Not cooked in the middle. What we could break off tasted horrible. We threw them away. The blueberry bar was ... just okay ... seemed like it was old.

Can’t say enough so I’ll start here, I dropped the ball on my wedding and gave them a call 3 weeks prior (I don’t recommend this to anyone) and Simply Decadent exceeded my expectations! Unfortunately due to Coronavirus we had to postpone our wedding but they kept a detailed record of our original order and were ready to get to work despite the lack of notice. On the big day there were some missing details and the baker (Allison) who was sent out waited patiently for the final details to finish the cake. These ladies were a big part of my perfect day and I highly recommend them wether it be for office treats or the one of the most important days of your life!

We looked at several bakeries for our babies 2nd birthday cake after having issues with a different bakery last year we decided to go with simply decadent bakery bc of all the positive reviews. We took in an inspiration photo of a baby shark cake, we emailed them the picture, talked to a woman there who took down all the notes for what flavors we wanted and how we wanted the cake. We gave her the spelling of our babies name, I told her it didnt have to look exactly like the picture after all we asked for a two tiered cake not three. I let her know the top of the cake should have at least the yellow baby shark bc it was going to be for our baby. The total was $160.00 which is what we paid for up front. We went in three weeks ahead of time, they told us itd be ready. When my boyfriend got to the bakery the day of pick up, they told him they were putting the final touches on the cake, when they gave him the cake they wrapped it up in two cake boxes with plastic wrap for security. They didnt show him the cake before hand, I was extremely disappointed with what the cake looked like, i wanted to love the cake but look at the photos and compare them for yourself. It looked like there was a big whale on top of the cake instead of a shark, they didnt decorate the back of the cake, they didnt even add my daughters name on the cake, after I gave them the spelling of it & she wrote it down as she was taking the notes. When we cut into the cake all the smaller pieces of fondant were being held by toothpicks! Nobody warned us abt this & this is the first time ever seen fondant being held with toothpicks, its usually done with the frosting, so I had to tell the parents after handing out the cake that there was toothpicks in it to make sure the kids didnt bite into them or hurt themselves, the details on the cake were horrible. The cake was NOT worth $160 especially bc it looked nothing like what we asked. The taste was ok but it looked like they literally put the cake together in a few hours. Maybe all the great reviews are for simple looking cakes, but the cake that was made for our daughters 2nd birthday was not put together well. Avoid this bakery unless you want a really simple cake, I will try to attach pictures of the cake we emailed to them and the cake we received so everyone can see what a horrible job was done on this cake.

Simply decadent nailed my wedding cake. Everything I wanted exactly as I wanted it and SUCH great flavor choices. Everyone was buzzing about our cake all night!

The cake looked better than i expected and normally cakes that look good does not taste good. However this cake was delicious. I should have ordered a larger size so everyone could have has seconds. It was great. Thank you for helping our team member has a great retirement celebration.

Ordered my wedding cake from here and it was delicious! The frosting is not overly sweet and has a light fluffy texture, their cake is moist and flavorful, the price was great for the amount we got, and honestly it was just a beautiful cake. When we sat down for a consultation they were very helpful, answered all of my questions, and were flexible with us. We set up delivery through them, which made it so that we didnt have to worry about that the day of. I would definitely do business with them again and love stopping by to buy cupcakes, btw they have other desserts and have gluten free desserts.

Handled rush job with less then two hours notice beautifully. Cake and cupcakes turned out fabulous. Price was less then original bakers price with month notice. Pleasant and professional customer service. Definitely made a repeat customer from us. Thank you

I ordered online through the website in the middle of a good friends birthday--she was having a tough one and needed some cake. I assumed they wouldnt be able to deliver until the next day, but when they saw my message that she was having a bad day, they emailed me back immediately and said they could deliver that afternoon, with a custom message on top. It was at her house within an hour, and it made her day. Thank you so much!!!

Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! We used them for our wedding cupcakes and now we get cakes and cupcakes for every event we have from them! So amazing and tasty!!! I highly suggest them!

We ordered a PJ Mask birthday cake (2 tier) for my sons 3rd birthday & it definitely exceeded our expectations! The design & taste was the best cake Ive ever had! Coconut was amazingggg

I came in yesterday AND today for more! I brought friends each time and everyone loved their pastries. We tried the cheesecake (chocolate and strawberry), raspberry brownie, strawberry filled cupcake, sour cream blueberry pie, and their signature Simply Decadent cookie. They even serve J&B coffee! The bakery is cute and cozy. Krista (owner and founder of the bakery) is creative and is always serving up new, exciting twists on classic favorites.I am excited that Krista will be making my graduation cake, too!

We drove an extra hour and a half out of our way to come check them out. We came from the DFW area. Macaroons were fabulous, wedding cookies fell apart in the first bite, lemon bar was great and the creme brulee was over cooked, but good. Everything had a great taste and worth the extra time spent driving to check them out.

I adore this place! Everything is made from scratch using all natural ingredients. I dont go anywhere else. Added bonus...the owner is a foodie. If you can catch her, shell give you a great list of places to eat in Lubbock.

The brownies and cheesecake are to die for, but the low calorie cookie is amazing!!! Love this bakery!!!

I dream of their buttercream and pumpkin rolls! I’d move back to Lubbock just to order them again! And the cakes are stunning.

The frosting is light and fluffy and not at all too sweet. Perfect balance with the cup cakes.

We ordered a top tier GF cake with a few dozen GF cup cakes as well and regular cup cakes for our wedding. We paid the delivery fee (worth it) for them to set it up on our cake stand. The cupcakes were VERY fresh and delicious! Even the GF ones! I would recommend this bakery.

Our cashier was very friednly and accomodating, but our creme brulee and cheesecake was very over cooked, the consistency was much too thick.I would be interested to try their cakes or cookies, however.

I came in to the store today and bought three brownies and three chocolate chip cookies. The lady charged me to all 6 items and “ packed them up for me” i got home with only the three brownies.Way too expensive to be leaving with only half your order. Will not be going back.

I ordered a cake for my friend. The cake had the wrong icing on it the cake was dry am when I picked it up it was a step away from being frozen solid. The cake wasnt any better then something I could have naught out of the store in the frozen food isle. Dont waste your money here.
