I love this place! The brownies are awesome! The cupcakes are delicious! Its worth the time to stop and get some dessert!!😋

The products are good but extremely overpriced! I paid 40 dollars for the SMALLEST German chocolate cake, which I could have gotten the same sized one at United for 18 dollars. Please bring your prices down!

The thing I usually hate about event cakes is that, though pretty, they taste horrible! Not here!!! These guys make every bite of every creation incredible! In my book, there is nowhere else in Lubbock for cake, brownies or…..CINNAMON ROLLS!!!!

If you are looking for sweets, there are better options. 1/10 service, 1/10 bakery. i could bake better stuff at home, the cookies were hard and the cupcakes were dry and the icing was dry and tasted like it was old icing that they had been using for days. cakes are not any different. would not recommend.

Ordered a Unicorn cake for my daughter and we were very impressed. The cake was delicious & the customer service was awesome. They also gave me a free breakfast roll and it was outstanding! We will be back!!

The brownies are great and the cookie decorating is fun for kids! We had them make horse birthday cake and it was amazing!!

I bought a cake for my dads birthday. The cakes i purchase here are usually very good. The cake i just picked up was supposed to be ready by 1:00, per the shops specifications. I pulled up at 3:30 and my cake wasnt ready. I let that go. 20 minutes later I am given my cake and it is so thrown together. I am so very disappointed that i spent the amount of money I did on a cake that literally had a piece of printer paper on top of it. My cake was still frozen, the writing is sloppy and youre is misspelled. Very disappointed.

This should be your first stop for all your baking needs. Was originally introduced to this shop when we were shopping for our wedding cake 4 years ago. They made that process so simple and easy for us. The team there took time to walk us through each of our many selections of flavors of cake and never once did we feel rushed. I had thought that they would just give us a basic run down of flavors but man their offerings are soooo deep that even I fat guy like me was impressed. Wife chose our wedding cake and I still lord over her that my fireball flavored grooms cake was the best. Could not be happier and their prices weren’t bad either. 1 wedding, 4 birthday cakes, several orders of cupcakes, and an anniversary cake later.... we are definitely repeat customers!

Ive ordered several cakes here over the years and always happy with the results. Ive given them basic ideas and each time a beautiful cake is the end result! This year was no different. Wife loves this cake.

Tasha and her team were great--had a very large order of cupcakes and they were ready on time, good price and delicious Ill definitely use her services again!!

There was some confusion on my cake but Tasha was great with the outcome of the mistake! She was in communication and she fixed it! I was very pleased at the outcome and she did communicate with me! Thanks again

The flavors were good.... but the colors/details of the cookies, cake, and cupcakes that we ordered were ALL wrong. Plus they only gave us 11 cupcakes when we paid for/ordered a dozen.... They weren’t even done with our order when we came to pick it up. (We waited almost 20 minutes) Mind you.. I put the order in over two weeks before our event.

When they have items in stock they are good, however, they do not consistently have staple items in stock. I cannot count the amount of times my kids have been disappointed because they did not have items that are on their menu available.

Our family used The Cakery for our daughters wedding! Tasha and the staff at The Cakery are AMAZING! Both the bride and grooms cakes looked exactly like the pictures we showed them. Better yet, they tasted as MAGNIFICENT as they looked...and they looked BEAUTIFUL. Our entire experience was smooth, relaxed and fun! The Cakery made our satisfaction their number one priority and we will use them for all our bakery needs in the future and will recommend all our family and friends to do the same.

Amazing! Great birthday party! 1.5 hours which was perfect. Tasha, the owner, directed the whole party so I was able to relax, take photos and enjoy the kids! I would recommend this place to anyone! I loved the cupcakes and frosting too!

The Cakery is the BEST place to purchase delicious cakes, cupcakes and brownies!!! I have had them make everything from a Mickey Mouse Cake for a two year old to an elegant (adorned with fresh roses) pasley shaped cake for my sister. It is absolutely unbelievable what the ladies at The Cakery can do. The best part of it all is the taste....absolutely out of this world moist and delicious. The hard part is deciding what flavor (s) to combine or choose.For a real treat you must go and see for yourself!!!

ATTENTION WEDDING PLANNERS**If you are wanting to have an intricate cake done for your special day, please do not waste your time and money on this place! I showed them SEVERAL different designs that were fairly simple, but they made excuses as to why they could not do them. (Dont have the right pan, stand, stencils, etc)I ended up picking a VERY simple cake, and had them put fresh flowers on it, since they seemed to have no artistic ability or drive to try something new.The ONLY reason we ended up buying from the Cakery is because we had in store credit from my sister whose cake had been messed up on her wedding day! If you dont want to spend $500 on a plain ass wedding cake like I did, go to Market Street, the taste is just as good. Maybe better.

Ive never had a group that is so easy to work with. Great Customer Service! They go out of there way to make you feel welcome when you walk in.

I use the cakery for all of my events. I have never found a more reasonably priced and easy to work with bakery. Everything is always delicious. I am not an easy person to work with (total control freak) but they are always so sweet and accommodating. Their lemon cake is delicious. And their cookies are to die for.

Had cupcakes from The Cakery for my birthday this year. They were transported from Lubbock to Colorado, and not only did they handle the travel well, but they looked and tasted incredible! Provided a variety of flavors and they looked so nice, I almost hated to eat them. Thanks so much!

The Cakery is the perfect place to go whether just for getting cupcakes (and lets not forget their amazing brownies) on a day when you need something sweet or whether you have an event that needs a custom cake. The custom cakes are beautifully decorated and always taste wonderful!

I have used y’all for several years, always very satisfied with the cakes y’all make for me, but I picked my cake up for my 18th birthday today and the cake looked absolutely nothing like the pictures I sent in! I am very disappointed and upset! Not to mention the cupcakes were almost just as bad as the cake was! They where not worth the 60 dollars I spent this year!!!!!

I ordered a choc bd cake for my grandson, a Spider Man cake. Beautiful decoration. However, the cake and frosting were dry. There was no standout flavor to it, could have easily got this from a grocery store bakery. Right after we attended a wedding. Tasted only the brides cake, not my idea of a to die for, remember it cake. Again both the bride and grooms cakes were very beautiful, but no taste inside. My summation was this bakery is all about show and not about taste. Also they are very pricey. Will probably not use this bakery again nor recommend it to anyone.

Taste-wise, excellent. Looks-wise, excellent. Price-wise, HORRIBLE. I get it that you have a business and your craft goes into it, but a dozen cupcakes for over 30 bucks is borderline insane. They werent even specially ordered cupcakes, just what was on display. I will never, ever, ever go there again simply because of the price. Just because youre on a nicer side of town doesnt mean you should break the bank with your products.

This is my second time using this place, one small cake for a 10th bday, and one large cake for a sweet 16. The sweet 16 cake was good, the price I paid and for how I wanted it done was NOT! $372 for a tiered cake and it was not textured like I asked, but most importantly the head owner/consultant I dealt with didnt even show up to add flowers to my cake? Instead her assistance delivered the cake and decorated the cake at the venue???, they did not place flowers on cake like I wanted. Out of 12 flowers they only put 4 on the cake. The flavor was good, but the design,flowers,texture, was all wrong! Im upset I spent ALOT on this cake and the overall look was not to expectations. Oh! And my tiers were lump sided!! The only good thing about the cake was taste. The ribbon was crooked, the cake was literally decorated at the event!! The cake should have come delivered ready. Very upset and wont be going back. Take your money elsewhere.

Purchased a gluten free cake for my son for his graduation. Scnickerdoodle with chocolate icing was recommended. Price was kinda high for such a small cake.Cake was absolutely dry/bland and super heavy. There was no chocolate on the cake. It was all vanilla fondant. Graduation cap was cardboard with hard as a rock rice krispie and was falling apart. The pawprints didnt appear to look like tiger prints. You could see the makers fingerprints all over the cake. I have had better GF cake at The Ruffled cup. Will not purchase from the Cakery ever again.

My daughters wedding cake tasted very good and looked beautiful. The cake was chocolate and vanilla. My daughter requested they make the top layer lemon flavor, but this was chocolate and vanilla as well.

They did my wedding cake and I never worried at all about if it was going to arrive on time, taste good, etc. it was perfect and just what I wanted!

The cupcakes look pretty but thats all. The 4 different flavors we tried were very bland, and the frosting was not good either. For $2.50 per cupcake we were disappointed...

I’m not sure where to begin...I used The Cakery for my wedding this past weekend. We had around 120 guests and decided to serve cupcakes and have a small two tier cake for ourselves. After speaking with numerous bakeries in town, I felt that The Cakery had some of the most delicious flavors and decent prices. I was also sold on the fact that the cupcakes and cake would be delivered and set up for us - on your wedding weekend the less you have to do the better, right?Unfortunately after the contract was signed and the money was paid I found it difficult to get ahold of the owner. I understand she is very busy, however when all you’re asking is confirmation of cake flavors I wouldn’t think it would take several days to respond.Then to my dismay, I learned that the baker arrived to my venue in a rush and made it clear that she had other places to be. While I myself did not witness this, both of my parents as well as one of the venue directors commented on it and how unprofessional the interaction was.To me it’s just uncalled for. When it’s your only child’s wedding day - someone rushing in and making it clear that YOU, the current PAYING customer, are not a priority is a big problem.Then to top it off she didn’t leave any boxes for leftover cupcakes or a box for our top tier that was to be used as an anniversary cake. To me that was truly one of the worst things. My poor parents had to shove cupcakes in cardboard boxes, decor storage bins, and then pray that they would get smashed in the travel home (which they definitely did).So now our anniversary cake is smashed in, the cupcakes are smashed in, and I’m left feeling like I wasted money. Sure the cake tastes great, but what does any of it matter if the customer service isn’t there? I mean really ... not leaving a box for at least the anniversary cake is just flat out rude and inconsiderate.All in all if you just want a quick cupcake this is your place, but I personally would not recommend The Cakery for anyone’s wedding/event.

May 24, 2015I would rate ZERO stars if I could!! So I had a gender reveal dinner this past weekend and our special moment was completely ruined. This stupid bakery gave us PINK cupcakes - Im having a BOY!! yes they totally messed up our gender reveal!! I called my doctor to confirm and we are having a boy. The note we gave this place said boy!! so the cakery - specializes in cupcakes and they couldnt get the right color in the cupcakes?!? To top it off they do not want to give my mom her refund but give her store credit?!?! Are you kidding me?!? we will never do business with you again!!! The Cakery did their job wrong and wants us to pay for it!! Please everyone that lives in Lubbock do not do business with these people! They obviously do not care!!
