Pro: store is much bigger than the Minneapolis cub I used to shop at, and has a decent selection of foods.Con: their new app is TERRIBLE. I decided to trial it, and I requested substitutions and they made none. I shop for groceries by recipe and this is adding an additional hassle for me, because I’m just going to have to go to the store again tomorrow to get my needed groceries. They are not at all COVID conscious. They do not wipe down grocery carts, conveyor belts or card readers.I much prefer the Aldi, Trader Joe’s, target, and Byerlys experience at this time.
Not sure where Id go if this cub wasnt open 24 hours! Very clean, always have what I need, and kind cashiers. Im sure Ill be back again soon!
I can always find what Im looking for at this Cub so I can make it a one stop shopping trip. Its well-stocked and clean. I wish the lighting were a little brighter in the produce dept. Happy cashiers are a bonus.
I love everything about my cub. I like that they take plastic bags. But I dont like the smell of the popcorn as soon as you walk in the doors. It just stinks. I like that they carry my salmon, raw cashews and a wide variety of greens. Its always clean and well stocked
Everything you need for partys..cook outs and family fun days..easy to find things..friendly staff to help if you need extra hands to load vehicle..or help find an unusual item..has purified water to refill your gallons and many good things for on the Go ~ at the Deli. Highly recommended for your grocerys or florals for friends. You can buy in bulk and test your blood pressure there by the pharmacy!
I rarely shop at Maple Grove Cub because I can’t stand the smell of the burnt popcorn with fake butter smell. So pungent and nasty 🤢 Bad idea Cub! I want to smell fresh, healthy clean smells NOT that!!
We ordered the prime rib dinner for Easter. It was amazing! We will definitely order from Cub Deli in Maple Grove!
Meat of any kind is always rotting or old. The mask mandate has been lifted yet they kick people out who dont wear a mask. Yes, it still does smell like burnt popcorn. The old guy who walks around doing nothing nags at people who dont wear masks and then tries to force people to buy one for $1 when you can buy a box of 50 for $3. I usually go to the on in Champlain its about the same distance.
I go to this cub because its close to my house but they are ALWAYS out of stuff. And its not just 1 item, its multiple items all the time. Whomever does their order isnt doing it correctly. From cereal to cheese itz to ice cream like their shelves are never full.
I went to self checkout and this girl with short was swearing with her friends, and walked away when i was trying to ask for help.
Small chain but they have great customer service. Good selection for any event
Says 24 Hours yet anytime I come here past 10 they have shopping carts blocking all entrances.
I was just at cub Maple Grove there’s a sign right in the door that say we please ask our customers to wear masks I was just at cub Maple Grove there’s a sign right in the door that say we please ask our customers to wear masks. 3/4 of the people were not wearing masks, who is supposed to enforce this? I won’t be shopping there any longer, I’ll find a store that enforces this policy that wants to keep their customers safe!
Why doesn’t Cub care enough about the safety of its employees & customers to enforce Mask wearing policy. Majorityof people there weren’t wearing masks & management didn’t care enough to enforce safety measures. Who knows whether the non-mask wearing people are exposing others to their disease but its a good bet they are carriers who are touching & breathing on your food. Shopping at Cub is a safety risk until they start enforcing mask wearing.
Busy! But they did a great job in all of the departments!
~20-30% markup to bag your own goods after long lines due to chronic understaffing, and continuous stock issues. Where am I saving? The people working are for the most part great.
24hours open and the nice lady working at night is so helpful and swert.
I go to Cub Foods to get my prescription. I have been going there for years and all of the employees know me by 1st name. They have always been helpful. I always get all of my produce at Cub. They have the best and freshest produce to pick from compared to any store Ive been to. Whenever Im out on the floor Im usually approached by 2 or 3 Club food employees, and And they always Ask me am I finding everything OK do you need any help? They have wonderful customer service and I always enjoy going to Cub Foods!
Deli has good food. a little high priced
I was so excited when we first started using this Cub!Their health and wellness sections seemed to be broader and I was happy to see bulk maple syrup and honey.Overall this is a decent store service is quick normally. Food is generally okay I have never had any problems with it.4 stars is because I cannot give a grocery store 5 stars especially if a majority of the food it sells is questionable.Someday I will be able to buy straight from the farm, but until then Cub is one of my frequent stops!!!Has more variety than other cub foods.
This is one of the best grocery stores in the twin cities. Not Cub in general, specifically the Maple Grove store. The butcher shop is top notch. Always fresh steaks, ground beef, seafood . I love to cook, they always have the exotic ingredient I am looking for .The popcorn stand, although making me fat, is amazing. I grew up in Chicago and I used to miss being able to get skirt steak, and chorizo, but they have it! Get a bag of the in house made sour cream and chive popcorn and you wont but any other kind.
Our family loves our Cub! The service overall experience is the best to be expected from a corporate grocery store. The different shop keeps and cashiers really take care of our family . They know us and acknowledge us when in need for service as expected somewhere one shops daily. Great place to shop and bonus of TCF bank. Len/manager of TCF runs a great bank ! Thanks Cub!!
I shop here with my grandma, great customer service, there is always fresh donuts
One of my primary destinations for fresh food in smaller volumes when I cant get what I want or only a little, versus going to one of the clubs and having to buy in bulk. Produce is always fresh and they brought out new Deli offerings, not to mention theyve always delicious desserts!
Its your typical Cub hidden under a newly renovated facade. Customer service and pricing is meh. If you like the smell of burnt popcorn permeating the air while you shop this place is for you.
I think they have the best produce in maple grove. Everyone who works there are always nice and helpful.
A lot more variety of foods than the other Cubs I’ve been to.
Pretty decent Cub foods. It is organized like a normal grocery store so stuff is relatively easy to find. It is in the nice part of town so they have some options here that is people that live on the wrong side of the tracks dont get. The only downside is that it is always busy in arbor lakes and it is a pita to get to. When I stay on the Plymouth/Maple Grove border, I go to the Plymouth Cub foods because it is easier to get in and out of. It isnt nice enough to overcome the crappy parking lot and horror that is driving around arbor lakes.
Neat and clean fun shopping environment. The staff were really nice. The service itself was super convenient and always accurate. Awesome!
Hopefully someone from management sees this but we bought 3 month expired slim Jims from this store, im sure it wont make anyone sick but for a item to go that long on the shelves past its good by date is a little disturbing for all other items on shelves. Please look into this
The setup is weird and hard to find things, I’m not a weekly shopper but do go once a month. The aisles are split up so I feel like I have to walk down the back side and then again the front to find everything. Perk is they check out quickly and the self checkouts move quickly too.
Best food in everything I buy there! Cub is the only place I buy fresh meat. Best bakery!! ‼️
I vowed to never shop here again because of the horrid artificial butter and nasty popcorn smell, but needed a few things. Despite having to hold my breath to get to the meat department I managed to get some cub brand ground beef. Used it in my home made soup only to almost break my tooth twice on PIECES OF BONE FRAGMENT!! Yuck. Never again Cub☹️
The store is going to be awesome. The changes you have made already are great. A lot easierTo move from one isle to the next. Great Job.
A well run store. Very large with lots of inventory. Well maintained. Nice design features.
Hate it. The new make over is insane. Nothing makes sense. What youre looking for is in three different locations. Very small selection now. Feel so bad for the elderly having to walk back and forth through out the store to find a product they no longer carry. Ask and you shall not receive. Shelves are empty. All employees are just as frustrated. Just hate it. I drive to the Plymouth store to do my weekly shopping.
Cub is great for groceries. Large selection, good prices. but DO NOT GET THE SALAD BAR!! I have caught children picking from the selection with their little fingers and even saw a kid take a piece of meat with the tongs and put the tongs and the meat in his mouth, then return it to the salad bar.
Their customer service tonight was impeccable. I made a mistake of leaving 1 of my bags when I left. They helped make sure I had my items returned instantly!I cant see myself shopping at any other cub.I ❤️ My Cub!By the way, they just remodeled to add a juicery, popcorn, burrito bar, and salad bar with olives. It looks amazing and the staff is wonderful!!!
I needed one copy of an invoice. Asked the pharmacy politely explaining I had forgotten the customer copy. Pharmacy said no but go inside to Customer Service. Customer service rudely said, No we cant do that I no longer will shop at Cub. Walmart or Kowalskis now for me. Not kind people at cub.
Unbelievable at the service desk and the cashier is holding up one bill at a time instead of marking them and there is a line of people. Some things gotta change and the lady was black of course.
The new look is ok, still not so sure about it... feel like a kid in the candy store having to search for things again.... I did see they have maps now which is good ..... but just saw they have a popcorn stand.... is that permanent? Is it a fundraiser or is it for profit?Would make sense if it was for fundraisers like boy scouts who just ya know happen to sell popcorn at this location....
CUB FOOD - MUTCH BETTER THAN ANY HY VEE - ITS LOCAL !!!
I did my weekly shopping, but was very disappointed with the bouquet of Oriental lilies that I bought. In less than 6 hours, they started to wilt. The next day, two thirds of the bouquet was wilted. I will have to find my receipt and and ask for a refund. The florist there should have recognized their condition and pulled them from the rest.
Clean and organized store. Well stocked with wonderful products. Good service too.
I would say in the last few times that I have visited this store it has been less than stellar customer service provided in the deli department. I was always taught that when you are at work doing your job that is what you should be doing not dancing around or singing or trying to look like a beauty queen. Cub has hired a tall blonde headed woman in the deli department that is not very customer-friendly especially to younger people or the elderly. What the hell is wrong with people today that dont know how to park
This is your typical grocery store. It is more expensive than walmart, but is definitely more convenient for me, so it is worth the small bump in price. There is a small coffee shop, a popcorn kiosk, a juice bar and a deli. The variety is nice for anyone who loves popcorn or smoothies, but personally I havent taken advantage of either as of yet. The store is in decent shape. They recently remodeled it, but in doing this the squeezed the isles together by a couple of feet, which makes it a little crowded during the after work rush, but what store isnt busy during those times right? Staff is fairly friendly... they have their good employees who seem like they like or dont mind working there and every once in a while you come across one that is stoney faced and can tell they arent having a good day. But it is grocery store and it serves its purpose up to standards.
I really like this location. They have a popcorn bar, Dunn Brothers ☕ inside. Items looked fresh, nice use of space.
This location is better than the other Cubs. The food is cheaper than Whole Foods, but lower quality. You get what you pay for.The smell of popcorn is ridiculous. Please stop doing that.
I was just here about 20 minutes ago picking up groceries. The employees were being fairly rude and kept their eyes on me as I walked from aisle to aisle. I had a cart full of groceries once I hit the checkout and as I was going to walk out the door, this man (loss prevention) came running towards me and told me to give him my receipt and open my purse. I was very confused at the moment thinking maybe they’ve mistaken me for somebody else, but I was wrong. They were rummaging through all of my grocery bags and my purse, dumping everything out. I start to get very annoyed by this unprofessional act. I asked what they were looking for and they had accused me of stealing cosmetic products. Note that I do not wear makeup and I was nowhere near that aisle. The guy told me that they had been watching me go through each and every aisle. I found that very rude of them. They called the cops and when the cops arrived, nothing was found. I was there for about an hour and a half being accused of an act that I didn’t not committ. This is the most worst place to grocery shop at. Employees are rude and will keep their eyes on you. This is not a place to be comfortable. Accusation is the worst when it comes to being a professional business.I will no longer be coming to this Cub location. I would rather travel 30 minutes out to a far better Cubs to get my groceries.
Great produce. Wonderful apple selection. Good prices.
Cub is an easy access store that has almost everything you could need (food related) and since they are open 24/7 you can always run a quick errand.
I had the worst time finding groceries this morning. I asked a worker where certain item was and instead of showing me, she pointed in whatever direction took me ten minutes to find one item. The store is huge so not being able to be brought directly to the item made things unpleasant
This cub was better before the remodel. Now there is fancy displays for the fruits and vegetables.... but a LOT less of each kind and a lot less variety too. Please go back to stocking MORE of each item in the produce section. Putting out 15 bundles of green onions that are all gone when I get there really doesnt help me any. Also, can you vent the popcorn stink out of the store? It is over-powering and unpleasant to have to smell when I am shopping.
This is a good Cub foods. Its convenient located within walking distance of many other stores. Its also very clean and well stocked.
They didnt have any vanilla cupcakes. I mean they have them but theyre mixed in with the chocolate ones and I just wanted vanilla. Its very bougie. And it has a popcorn stand inside the the cub. I have never seen that anywhere.
Would love to have the bakery include bagels. They were the best and now you no longer bake them. Why did you stop?
Decent grocery store, but some locations need a good update
Had a great time doing Lottery tickets. The young man at the Customer Service was awesome.
Bathroom is destroyed. Broken toilet paper dispensers, missing coat hooks on doors... Neglected maintenance in the restroom makes me wonder what else they dont care about. Byerlys is a better, safer experience.
What do you want me to say, its Cub Foods. At least its a better location than the Brooklyn Center Cub off of Bass Lake Road and Brooklyn Boulevard
This place was recently renovated and the new mini stores in Cub are just amazing. The juicery and pop corn shops, 😋😋. Give the freshly squeezed apple juice a try. Youd never want any other. The fresh groceries and more organic choices just makes this place a no brainer. I think Cub just made me a customer.Hope you can make the Brooklyn Park Cub like also. Keep up the good job Cub 🙌🏾🙌🏾
This used to be my go-to grocery store for +20 years. The quality and brands have been great. HOWEVER, a few months ago they added the popcorn stand, which has made the entire store smell of popcorn on the best of days and burnt popcorn on the worst of days. It really surprises me that they havent done anything to deal with the smell and it has gotten to the point that I will no longer shop there. The smell is truely overwhelming and I feel sorry for the employees who must go home smelling of popcorn.
Fine for a grocery store. Parking lot is too small. Gets super busy where the parking lot is actually full at peak times. Ill never go there at peak hours. Best old fashioned doughnuts in the area. But they are not available before 7:30am in the morning. At least that has been my experience. Kind of silly for doughnuts. Just refitted the interior a few months ago and its nicer inside now. Good self checkouts.
Large grocery store with specials best based on coupons otherwise certain pricing might not be as competitive as we might hope but it is a good grocery store with very nice selection
Update from a year ago. I do not smell the awful burnt popcorn smell anymore when I walk into the store. The new layout is okay, more modern and appealing than before, but I do not think the layout is as nice as the one in St. Louis Park which I think is very nice. With all the restaurants sprouting up around Maple Grove I wonder if Cub Foods could expand on the west or east side of the store and put a restaurant in or a food court with a second level? Wegmans on the east coast does this and with their seafood/bakery/deli market layout Wegmans hands down beats any supermarket layout in Minnesota.A year ago - They renovated recently and took up a lot of space and added a popcorn stand. Now when you walk in there the place stinks of burnt butter and popcorn and it stays on your clothes after you leave. What were they thinking when putting a popcorn stand in there, wholesome foods? Healthy and inviting? It smells like dead animal carcasses when you walk in there. Why not just put in a meat rendering plant, that will draw the crowds!
Clean organized store. Well stocked. Good service too
The recent face-lift has made this location much better. The fresh popcorn and juice bar are amazing!
Clean and upscale version of Cub. Great selection. Lots of great extras such as organic foods, flowers, juice bar, oil bar, honey bar and yummy fresh fudge!
Our main grocery store. It has a neighborhood feel, as we often see our neighbors! Customer service has been great and we usually find sales or coupons for what we are buying.
Best beer in the cities of any grocery store chain!
The store layout in very poor however the quality of the product is good. Great grapes especially.
Never go to this Cub. Do not go to cub In general. Purchased a gift card to only find that the cash register clerk didn’t put any money on it. Lost the receipt to try and get my money back for the purchase, lady in customer service clearly did not want to help me. Did not explain there error in first even explaining that gift cards are non refundable. Shame on cub. Now I am out $50 and will never return to Cub maple grove EVER AGAIN. Your store isn’t very nice considering your efforts in remodeling it. Over priced and terrible to their customers.
Glad Cub is still in business, it is so good for alot of items I cant get at Walmart.
Okay I cant give a 5 only been here once but man I know maple grove is a nice city but Ive been to a variety of cubs in the Minneapolis - Roseville - brooklyn park and center areas and this ones bigger, fancier, even the restrooms look way better! Just more fancy.Edit: bought a sandwich there today and the meat inside was frozen!!! Still 3 stars. Its actually pretty normal for a cub IMO.
I’ve been a regular here for years. Just called customer service to do a price check and the supervisor told the employee to “just hang up”
Love my cub. Had huge renovations and really good food
I really liked this location until the renovation. Now they seem to have less of a selection of things I actually want and is more catered towards impulse buying. Not a fan of the new layout. Its like they tried to be HyVee but failed.
My wife does so much shopping here they should know her by name. Remember Consumers United for Buying (CUB) in Fridley? A warehouse, goods on skids and red grease pencils? Theyve come a long way, not all of it good. Brands disappear if the margins arent there or they have their own substitute brand. Kind of like fake news, you only see what they want you to see.
Overrated. Kind of pricey. Dont always have what I need. Staff friendliness and helpfulness is hit or miss. Cub app doesnt work anymore.
Has more health supplements than any other Cub Ive seen. Popcorn and fresh juice bar are a nice touch.
There are TWO spots for grocery pick up through instacart in Maple Grove Cub. You are expected to circle a packed parking lot and find them because the signs are very small and when you call cub no one knows where they are. Usually a normal Cub shopper is parked in the spot so then what do you do?? I am going back to Walmart, who actually put some thought into their processes!!
Cub Foods its a great grocery store best deals on meat
I have shopped this Cub store for 26 years and if it wasnt for their fresh produce, I wouldnt return. With the changes in the isles and the labeling of the isles I find myself spending much more time looking for items and having to ask for help! And it appears your product lines have also changed. As I shop I hear many other customers complaining of the same thing. Why would you make these customer unfriendly changes?
The pharmacy is terrible, they’ve messed up my prescriptions so many times. One time I almost missed my flight because of them back in July. My boyfriend and I have the stomach flu and the lady helping us was beyond rude. She gave me bad looks and had major additude issues. The pharmacist luckily helped after I she seen how frustrated I was becoming. They still haven’t contacted us about my boyfriends medication which he is currently very ill and needs. Honestly this pharmacy is a joke I will not be using them any longer.
Coffee was a good value and a nice way to end a grocery shopping outing, until the prices were jacked up to regular coffee-shop prices.
Great store its a lot bigger than a lot of them, great service, theyre in the middle of another remodeling project but I could find most of what I wanted, wide isles also more than most of them also
Lots of variety but youll spend more money on items than at Target or Wal-Mart. Great fruits & vegetables cant beat CUB in that area!
I will always love cubs ! Good foods and good deal price
I honestly will not shop here. The produce and meat here is AWFUL. Being from Iowa Ive always shopped at Hyvee and the produce, deli, etc is way better than Cub at the same cost or better. The fuel saver program at Hyvee is better too.Ive always had to wait in an incredibly long line at cub because there arent enough cashiers. Its always been hit or miss with the staff as well.
This location has always had what I have been looking for. There are some Cub locations that seem stripped of some items and it is nice that this is the one close to my place of employment.
Poor customer service. Signs up in the store say to ask an employee fur help during construction if you cant find something. Ask an employee a question and they will tell you to go walk and find a different employee who might know the answer. Then one employee said they hadnt seen it but t didnt mean they didnt have it, and just brushed me of to continue chatting with a co worker. No offer to go check.
Cub foods in maple grove is a place that I avoid at all costs. The store and employees are fine but the customers are unbearably snobby and aggressive. Just a bunch of pissed off soccer moms. Best to go late at night.
I would love to give five stars because this Cub is very clean and has a lot of options for my family that has many food allergies. However, lately they have been pairing down on the selections that are safe for us. Also as a person who has a young toddler in diapers and who also has a disability that requires a wheel chair or cane from time to time I request that you please find a new location for the diaper changing table or put in a second handicapped stall. When it is in use it blocks the door to the only handicapped stall and is a great inconvenience and embarrassment. Ive been trapped in the stall while someone uses the changing table and Ive also had to wait with a squirming toddler while the stall is in use for the changing table. Very inconvenient.
Evening manager was sooo rude. Im calling in the morning to speak to someone. Not sure if shes racist or just rude to everyone. Not a good experience.
Good store and usually has items I need in stock. Friendly staff and usually very helpful.
Dashed in for a few items. Lines were short, cashier was pleasant. Great summertime buys - corn, berries, watermelon - yum.
