Wish I cold put 0! Ive been calling for over a month asking that someone call me back about a recall on my breaks but havent heard a peep. used to give 5 stars but since switched to Matthews, service is just no longer there I guess.
I have never been more disappointed with a new car purchase. The spare key they gave me belonged to another vehicle. That was discovered when the other vehicle was sold. Matthews Hyundai called me to come bring them the key, but it was their mistake, so they shouldve come to me to exchange them. I work in Columbus, and with the dealerships hours I couldnt come until Saturday. When I didnt come right away, a salesperson called to gripe at me. Wait/what?? Its your fault not mine. I was late for work to bring that key back, with no thanks or perk for their error. The seats were supposed to be scotch guarded - which I think cost $2,500 that was added to my purchase price. RIP OFF! The first spill on my seat stained it, so wheres that scotch guard??? My paperwork was not completed correctly, so I had to go back to Matthews Hyundai to correct it. Then the lender sends me a letter that the dealership signed in the wrong spot, but said that could be overlooked.As far as service goes... The service for my free oil changes for the first 36,000 miles has been more than irritating. The excuses received left me to go find the sales manager, b/c I did not want to hear the same lame excuses from the service manager. My paperwork clearly states that I need to have my oil changed every 7,500 miles or else the warranty is voided. Also, you can change the oil +/- by 1,000 miles. They are making me wait for 10,000 miles for the last 2 oil changes. That takes the 5 free oil changes down to 3, so they can save money. Meanwhile, I worry about my warranty being voided as the records are clearly at the dealership. Secondly, the hours of the service department are less than desired. No Saturday hours with regular business hours Monday - Friday. So unless you can take time off from work, forget getting your service done here. Do yourself a favor and save the headache. There are other Hyundai dealerships.
It was a great experience buying the car but I had a remote start put in and their proving was very high, also be VERY thorough when picking your vehicle, I didnt look under mine and found a huge hole under it.
Saw an ad and found a vehicle I liked. Filled out the online application and received a call shortly after from Jon. He went over all the financing questions and got to work on the deal. The next day, I went to the dealership and met with Jon. We test drove the car I chose and I was in and out within an hour. One of the best car buying experiences I have had. Jon was easy to work with and didnt pressure me at all.Amanda, the finance director, was super helpful and really friendly. She explained all of the bank paper work without wasting my entire day. Great people and a great place to buy a car.

5 Months after buying my new car I took it in for an oil change. Magically while it was getting an oil change the main computer system wiped itself clean.I was told it would be about 2 weeks. ... at the 3 week mark I called to follow up as I hadnt heard from anyone. I was advised they still didnt have the part but it should be there in a week.Today, 6 weeks after my car was dropped off for an oil change, and still not hearing from ANYONE.. meanwhile still paying for my XM and car payment, I called back. I was told they still dont have the part and they are short staffed so more or less i just needed to get over it and wait. I was also told When you go to Kroger do you get everything you want right away?..... Im certain I dont get it right away but Im POSITIVE I get it sooner than 6 weeks and it doesnt cost me hundreds of dollars to sit on the shelf and be worthless.I will NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone. They dont have the customers best interest at heart, dont communicate and arent transparent.
Price on websites are misleading. Says there price is 16500 and then I find that its 1000 more because I dont qualify for the retail cash because Im not getting financing. Then they want to act like they are giving me a Great deal on my trade in. They gave me 4000 then turn around and try to sell it for 10000. I bought the car because they are the only dealer near me that had it in stock. I dont regret the car but go to Columbus you will get a better deal.
My car broke down on a Sat. I got it towed to Mathew’s & we followed in a taxi. I didn’t know the service department was closed. So while I was taking care of the tow fees, I had my kids stand close to the building instead of the parking lot. Tim in Sales saw us and came out. He brought me and my 4 children inside to sit while we waited for our ride to arrive. We were 2hrs from home, so we were waiting for 3hrs to get picked up. Tim brought us waters and some snacks for the kids. He also turned on cartoons for them and checked on us regularly to see if we needed anything. I am forever grateful for his amazing hospitality!As for my car, I came back and picked it up on Wed. $37 total! They are absolutely amazing! I HIGHLY recommend Mathew’s Hyundai for any of your needs!

As a customer I feel so disheartened and undervalued. I have experienced extremely poor customer service throughout my entire experience at Mathews Hyundai. I have experienced a sheer lack of professionalism, transparency, and responsiveness. Not once did I feel like any decisions were being made for my best interest, and I have been ignored. I have tried to reach out to management on a few occasions and have received no response. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

These guys are great. Went in just looking and went home with a car. Tim worked really hard to get me in something nice, safe, and well within my payment range. The car had a small problem after i got it home. They got it taken care of the following day. Everyone was really nice and did all they could to make this a easy transaction. Ive been buying cars for 50 years and didnt like dealing with what I would call hard core sales people. Jon makes you feel like hes your best friend & i truly believe he wants a buyer to make the right decision when buying a new car.
Took my daughter to purchase her very first car at this dealership at a Saturday sales event and it was not very pleasant. They tried to use a pressure tactic to sell her a car that she did not want and it made her feel very uncomfortable. I expected a better experience than this because of a previous purchase that we made with this dealership. Probably will never return.
The service was Awesome. Marshall was the person who helped me. He was so courteous and knowledgeable about the vehicles that I couldnt believe when he told me he hadnt been working there long.
Told my husband he won $1000 just to get him to stop into the store, where they were extremely aggressive in trying to get him to buy a new car and straight up lied about the $1000 they said hed one.. tried to give him a bluetooth speaker instead. Scammers!

This was my first visit to Mathews Hyundai for service. The service department was highly recommended by two friends who use them regularly.The service department at Mathews Hyundai is fantastic. Very professional. Efficient service in a timely manner. They also gave me a heads up on a future service need.In reviewing the service report on my vehicle, I have a couple of concerns regarding the cabin air filter and the engine air filter. Allegedly these were replaced at another Hyundai dealer three months ago. Do the filters actually deteriorate that rapidly?
I always have great service at Mathews. The only thing that bothered me is that the employees didnt have masks on during this time. They may not have the virus or the symptoms when they came to work but they could have met with a customer prior to me who could have it and the employee could then be a carrier. None of the guys in the service desk area were maintaining the social distancing. I had my mask on when I went into the service department, as a courtesy to them, so if I have been around or near someone who has the virus to protect your employees. They should be doing the same common courtesy for their customers.

Dealership did great job making repairs to the cooling system. I am very concerned that my brand new Hyundai has a coolant leak. I have had several Hyundai cars and SUVs, and this is the first issue. It make me question the viability of the product line.

Working with Mathews top-notch dealership and service department has been a memorably excellent experience. The dealership handled the warranty engine replacement work on my 2013 Tuscon I purchased there. The experience could have been a nightmare, but was hassle-free. Mathews service department staff took care of everything throughout the entire process: back side paperwork, complimentary rental vehicle, status updates, and job completion. And thank goodness Huyndai has a 10-year/100,000 mile warranty. Im back on the road again! Go see Mathews for your next vehicle purchase!!

Spoke with the salesman before I drove an hour (which he knew). He knew my credt situation, income and what I was looking for in a vehicle. He said I was approved for sure, but due to verifable income being less then what was on my application (mind you I provided my 3 months worth of bank statements BEFORE I even went), and he stated I would still be approved. I get there for my appointment he enters information in the computer and tries to show me a vehicle with 120,000 miles on it. But mind you I stated multiple times via text that I didnt care what year the vehicle was but it had to have low miles!! Now an hour and 45 minutes later I am leaving the dealership without a vehicle and drove 1 hour away because he guaranteed I would be approved for the type of vehicle I was looking for!!So long story short if they tell you that you are for sure approved even with bad credit do NOT get your hopes up and dont waste your time driving further unless your okay with a vehicle with high mileage or you have a co signer with good credit OR have a VERY large down payment!!!!

They contacted me the minute they opened to check with me on what the issues was with my car. The service department manager and staff very understand and upfront on a cost and stuck to it. Very disappointed in the Service department. Stopped in yesterday because the brake light on my dash of my 2020 Kona keeps coming on. I was told by the service adviser that my brake fluid might be low. I asked to make an appointment to have it checked out and was told to take my car to the dealership that I bought it because I have a service agreement with them. My car is 2 months old. If it is leaking brake fluid, or for some reason it is low, then there is a problem with the braking system. This is an item that is covered by the Factory warranty. I did not buy my car from Matthews because I work out of town, but I try to support Marion businesses when I can. Like I said, Im very disappointed that they would not even look at my car.
Can I leave less than one star? Received a flyer saying we won $5000 (far fetched, I know) but we called and asked “what’s the catch” and they assured us it wasn’t a catch. We asked a lot of questions even tried to get them to say exactly what we won. They said they couldn’t tell us how much until we arrived. We drove 30 miles to this place to only find that they have a board that literally tells you what you win as soon as Walk in. The Woman we spoke to on the phone could have asked us for this code and NOT WASTED OUR TIME. This is a place that has absolutely zero respect for people if they do not value your time. They said we won a $30 smart watch.. a $30 smart watch? On what planet? Did it come from dollar general? We didn’t even ask anymore questions and left because I don’t really need a piece of junk. Should be ashamed of themselves.

Im reviewing this place again because I still have the minivan we purchased over 2 years ago. Still paying for a van that was just seating in front of our driveway, that is worth less than what it was sold. First off, since we purchased the van in the winter, we didnt realize the a/c is not working. When summer came, it wasnt really working and we thought it just needs fluid or maybe there is just a leak, and fixing it would be minor. We had it diagnosed by a dodge dealer and quoted us for a new ac compressor worth $1500! Apparently, the ac compressor is not really working at all. Im sorry to give you bad reviews, I rarely give bad reviews to businesses as Im a business owner myself. But you have to stop ripping off people. We still have $2500 remaining lien on this van that we cant even use. By the way, the insides top fabric was okay when we purchased it, but the first summer after buying it, the ceiling fabric starts loosening and coming off its adhesive I guess. We have 3 kids and had two terrible summers with this van. Thankfully, we got a second car from a reliable car place in Westerville. If youd like to buy a car or minivan, go to Rousch, we couldnt be any happier!

I got car ready for Ohio s wnter weather on Monday morning at Mathews Hyundai.. Wipers, tires and fluid levels all checked The cars .battery was not up to par ( dead cell). Of course the battery was replaced and saved us from a cold weather mishap! Thanks for excellent service.

Went their during a event. Was ripped off badly. So I highly suggest you pay attention to the interest rates. They got me at 19.5%with Capital one.. My car dealer was little to no help on explaining this. I went to my bank and was able to lower it to 5%. I understand they need to sell cars but to rip people off this badly no excuses.. so no I don’t Recommend going there.😖😖😖

So we got a mailer from here saying we won $5k. Made an appointment through the phone. Show up and they said we won a smart watch. I laughed and walked out. I figured this was a bait and switch, which is an illegal form of advertising. I have already filed my complaints with the FTC and the BBB and if you got one fliers I encourage you to do the same. Don’t waste your money at this dump and don’t trust anything they tell you.

This place is a joke...so they send out these fliers telling you that you won $$$ which yes, sounds far fetched so we call them and ask is this legit? We ask VERY specific questions not to waste our time or theirs because we are NOT trying to purchase a new car which we made VERY clear to them. However, the fliers they send are FALSE ADVERTISING...we are currently seeking legal advice because we took pictures of the flier that was sent to us (every single page including the fine print) and are speaking with our lawyer Monday. I would hate to see other people waste their time going here and honestly who wants to do business with a dealership who lies and falsely advertises? Think about this before you go here folks, just a heads up!

Whenever I have serviced my vehicle here it is usually a pleasant experience but calling to set up those appointments is a different story. Every time I call to schedule an appointment for maintenance they act like I am a nuisance for calling and before I even finish my sentence about why I am calling they immediately and rudely transfer my call to another department. I really hate calling because of these situations that happen every time. Once I am rudely dealt with over the phone I get to speak with one of the nice people that actually helps me with my appointment. If it wasnt for him I would definitely take my business elsewhere.
