Great place to shop with low prices an great quality of products!!
Don’t place an online order with this store. I had a packed day, so I scheduled an 8 pm pickup. Received a confirmation text of my order at 7 pm. When I got there at 8 and checked in, a guy came out and told that my order wasn’t picked and that my name must have been missed when they called a long list of people. When I asked why they just didn’t send out cancellation notices through their app .... they can’t do that from the store. And the last order I picked up there 2 weeks ago had a past due date in the chicken and 4 days past the date .... which means the inventory isn’t being checked either.
Clean store with great sales and prices overall. The deli is awesome and so are the employees in that department. Good variety of inventory. One of the best things about this kroger is the floral dept. They have beautiful arrangements for very good prices. They have been better than many of the more expensive arrangements ive gotten from other floral shops. Check them out next time youre looking to purchase some. You wont be disappointed. See my pics. Ive posted a few .
Food that expired 2 years ago....whats up with this place. Nothing in stock in the morning or evening. The managers need a wake up call !!
Kroger itself was fine. Starbucks inside was not. Asked Lexi for recommendations and she made faces as I was trying to speak to her and interrupted to say she doesnt drink coffee and wouldnt recommend anything. Poor attitude and terrible service. Not a way to gain customers.
The Starbucks employee Lexi is such a doll! She knows her regulars, and always has a pleasant demeanor.
One of the two individuals that work at the sushi section are extremely rude and lack good customer service. I have always gotten extra ginger everytime I get sushi (once a week) without issue. Except an additional encounter I had with this guy. He charged me a dollar for extra ginger which was fine. Well this time I asked and he lied and said there was no more ginger. It was the am and he was making more sushi. The tub of ginger was right in front of him! So I go ask another Kroger employee about this. She goes to get me ginger thinking that maybe there is a language barrier. Nope, he refuses to give her any for me. According to her, the sushi section is it’s own entity. Well I’m here to tell you Kroger that they are making you look bad. I kindly put the sushi back and won’t be returning. As a person who was in the military for 20yrs and have interacted with all types of people, I try to be mindful of others culture before forming an opinion. I’m here to tell you there was no cultural issue just sheer rudeness! So much so that a bystanding employee also commented how this guy “ struggles with customer service”. I gave Kroger 2 stars for the other employees I have encountered who were courteous. Unfortunately the sushi counter leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
Clean store, good selection, but staff and venders stocking shelves not wearing masks or social distancing. This is a vaccination site, please do better for your vulnerable customers.
Note to self: Dont order pick up on Sunday afternoon. Waited over an hour and when I finally asked I was told they didnt see my order.. Havent been happy lately as I bring home items that are not sealed properly. Ive seen moldy shelves (like very very moldy) in the cold section by the bacon.. this place is always busy but it beats Walmart, for now..
I just had to wait in line at Kroger on Columbia Rd for an unacceptable amount of time because like Walmart they only had one check out opened. After asking two different people if they could please open another line they finally did. All the while the manager couldn’t show her face to help out. Next time I will spend my 241.00 dollars at Publix.
Unclean and they had food for on sale that wasnt any good
I am a true Kroger customer because they have always provided great service. I bought some fresh seafood ( shrimp) on 4/7/20 I had the young lady steam them for me so that I could. Eat them with a family dinner I planned on Thursday. They were all over cooked. I still kept them in hope of returning them for more that were cooked properly. I called up to the store and they stated they could not replace them once leaving the store. I spent $12 in fresh seafood that now has to be trashed. I thought hey stride on Great customer service.
I just want to say I have been coming to this Kroger here since it’s opened and I want to thank them for always having what I need and to always be convenient for where I live.. also Shantell the manager in the front is always so nice she always has conversations with me and my kids whenever I come up to do a western union she is always friendly also the guy in the meat department always gives the right cuts ! Recommend highly!
Excellant deli, cheese and wine sections. The men who do the Friday wine tastings are so knowledgeable and passionate. There is always something new and fantastic to try in every department.
I love to bring my 4yo here on the weekend mornings sometimes for fresh donuts. We grab a few, then get a coffee from Starbucks and sit and have our breakfast together. She really loves riding in the racecar shopping carts and I really love the great benefits of being a Kroger plus member. Im giving four stars because the prices are sometimes much higher than their competitors and the parking lot is far too small for the amount of traffic this location gets, but I still really like this location for quick stops and morning donuts.
I just like shopping at Krogers. The stores are always clean. The employees are usually real nice. And the prices beat most other stores. The only thing I wish was that the Krogers in Evans had sushi like the one on Columbia Rd. Otherwise Krogers is my store.
Always out of items I need without fail, sick and tired of bagging my own groceries due to there only ever being 2 checkers at most! Please hire more cashiers, if not then bring prices down to reflect labor wages being saved!
I love my Kroger’s but this kind employees sometimes hurt the business. I just went to Kroger’s all registers are closed, no problem. Self check out is open, I began my check out, now my register is blinking and this person who’s working here is having a conversation with some friends I guess, I went and ask her to help me, she said I was rude because she fix to go on brake, I continued to check out and now I can find my tomatoes on the system to bad I have to call her again, she now have a bad actitud and no attention of course she’s putting a wrong item On my tab . I really love my Kroger’s but this employee I think her name was shaquana in self check out Friday May 29th 9:30 pm, she need to be trained to continue work here . Thank you
I love everything about Kroger except they wont give you the price of gas over the phone! They said they will lose their job! That is dumb!
Always liked Kroger. Roomy great atmosphere good prices
A great example of a modern Kroger Marketplace. Clean, well stocked and well staffed. This is a great store.
Convenient for my neighborhood, and has as you would expect an extremely wide selection of choices. Generally it is fairly clean. Oftentimes sales or popular items can be out of stock and checking out is a process unto itself. If any lanes are open with humans, it is only one or two. The self checkout s work well, but if you have a problem then you should hope you dont have ice cream because it may take a while. Employee friendliness ranges from super friendly to why must you bother me, everything you say or think is wrong.
Store is always nice and clean the staff is helpful and friendly. Went to the deli and the women working was helpful and quick. Items on sale were stocked and easy to find. Checkout didnt take long and the bagger was helpfulm
Dear Kroger, stop advertising your open 24/7. I have gone there 2 nights in 2 weeks and you have been closed each time. Just say, “not 24/7” and I’ll be satisfied, but if I ever drive there again (3rd time) to find you not open, I’ll do everything in my power to make sure everyone I know never shops there again. All the love,An ex customer.
I prefer to shop-on-line. Kroger has cut back its staff and you have to wait at least 30 minutes to check out. The only reason I will go in is to pick produce or meat. The rest I order on line.
I use to shop here all the time, and used the pharmacy as well. The staff at the pharmacy was my favorite, until they started losing staff and replacing them with horrible people. Staff all over the store aren’t friendly either, except for maybe 4 people. Always looks dirty, never has stock of anything advertised. Parking is a nightmare.
09-2021 - UPDATED REVIEW w/ 4 STARS: Ive knocked one star off of my original review because multiple times now, Ive had no choice but do a grocery delivery and while this isnt directed at this particular Kroger itself, the fact that the Kroger Company family has leaned on, and will be leaning even more, on Instacart is troubling to me. While I enjoy going into the store myself and doing my own shopping, I dont always have that luxury due to health reasons. I have used the Kroger phone app and website on different occasions. I really dislike paying a high deliver fee, Instacart fee, along with tip, with no way to use paper coupons Kroger themselves sends me, and being open to carelessness and/or theft like Ive experienced... Ive had three separate occasions now where an Instacart shopper has been less than acceptable. The first time I ever used their delivery, the Instacart shopper was wonderful. She communicated well and my order was perfect. I changed the tip to be higher than I originally was forced to put, and rightfully so. Then, I started having issues after that. One order, the shopper had refunded approximately 70 of my order, stating it was out of stock. A friend of mine happened to be in Kroger within the hour and while texting, found out most of the items I was told were out of stock, were well stocked. Another occasion, the Instacart shopper ignored my notes and items that had checked off No Substitutions and proceeded to substitute items anyway, which were not comparable to my original order. As well as ignoring comments like Please do not purchase this item if that item isnt available (digital coupons and/or deals that require you purchase so many of this or that depend on you getting the discounts), completely causing me to be charged full price when the whole point was to save money overall on the current deal(s). The last order, the Instacart shopper texted and said one item was not available in the size I wanted, but had the smaller size and could double up to make up the quantity. This baffled me because it was for a 16 oz. pint of Private Selection ice cream... that doesnt have a smaller size... but I said okay, out of curiosity. I had requested 2 pints of a certain flavor. I received 4 pints of my flavor. Not sure if he just didnt pay attention to the size or what was going on there. He also listed one of my items as out of stock for the quantity I requested (two), and I had no substitutions noted. He got one of them, then after the delivery had been made and he was off in a flash, I get the itemized receipt emailed to me showing a 20 fl. oz. soda was substituted. He bought himself a drink. On me. I only found this out after I looked through my delivered groceries and did the quick survey, where I also changed the tip to be a little higher than originally put. I was not able to go back and change the tip again, nor have I been able to get anywhere when contacting Instacart directly.I apologize for such a long updated review, but I had to give the details and not leave my lower rating open and vague. Bottom line, I am NOT happy with Instacart and I will no longer be ordering delivery with Kroger. I wish Kroger wasnt pushing for more business with Instacart, because I do like Kroger...09-2020 - ORIGINIAL REVIEW w/ 5 STARS: Diligent employees were keeping the carts clean/sanitized. The stock of fresh foods was plentiful. The only downside was not the fault of Kroger, rather due to COVID19, which is the same anywhere else you go, limits on certain items (personal, cleaning supplies, soaps, etc.), as well as inventory/variety of certain products being low or empty. Again, I cannot fault the store for that.Overall, the store was clean and not only were the employees visibly constantly cleaning, sanitizing, and respecting the personal space of the customers, they were also very pleasant as a whole.
Great store! Sometimes not enough cashiers. The only bad thing I have to say is all of the cigarette butts outside by the plants is disgusting.
Krogers specials each week cant be beat, and keep us coming back! Great coupons 👍 in our mailbox! 😄💝
I came into return an item. The customer desk had a sign saying they were closed. I asked to speak to a manager. One was called but no one came. I click list each week. I am very unhappy with the lack of customer service at this store.
Very nice store! I would like to see Better Than Gravy chicken or turkey in the gravy aisle. Excellent product, why not carrying it?
Very clean. Has a great variety of products and are extremely reasonable with their prices. I am making this my preferred store to shop. Staff was courteous and helpful too. Great store.
This particular store doesnt seem to carry some of the more desirable meats in any large amount. They had three freshly cut Ribeyes and one already wrapped up ribeye from previous days. They had no way to cut more, due to a lack of meat. They had two freshly cut pork loin chops, and no more anywhere to be found. No way to cut more due to a lack of meat. An employee told me that the person in charge of ordering meat never seems to properly order for some reason. The store seems decent otherwise. Not great, but decent. I wouldnt avoid it, but I wont be singing its praises to anyone either.
Love my Kroger in Grovetown, even though I live in Evans, getting on and off I 20 when driving around Columbia County was so convenient I just got used to shopping there when heading home from a day around town.
Had to ask twice for ground mild Italian sausage, finally a young man checked and told me that they were out. I had just left the dentist and the numbness was wearing off. By the time I got to the register, I was in tears. The young lady got me assistance from what looked to be a young man in highschool. He was so sweet. The young lady offered me a chair. The young man encouraged me to get in the car. He had to rearrange some flowers that was in the back of my car in order to load my groceries. He told me that he hoped that I felt better. I wish that I had got their names. But I appreciated all their help and caring words.
Kroger is always clean. Friendly employees. Parking lot is always packed.
Great selection of gourmet and regular food. Not enough check out lanes open. Self-check is ridiculous with more than 5 items.
This Kroger offers excellent customer service. The reasoning behind my rating is, the last couple of times I have been to this store a good bit of shelves are empty or just scattered throughout the shelves. Almost every isles has bare shelves. When asking about a product that has a tag on the shelf that is empty can not even get a straight answer, even from management.
Nice clean store! Went by for a quick stop while in the area. There were a lot of people in there, but associates in express line was very efficient!
Always a pleasure to come here! Weve been going to this Kroger for over 11 years. They know Terrys allergies and understand the significance of food allergies. They are very thoughtful, greet with smiles and the courtesy clerks are awesome!Dr. Brenda Brown, DNP
It easy to locate your items and look very clean
They always have exactly what I need and I love that there is a large number of items in the produce section that is grown local. I love the fuel rewards system as well, 3 cents off every gallon just for being a rewards member is pretty legit.
Great selection of produce, meat, organic and gluten free foods. Very organized store. Customer service is not so great. Cashiers seem like they hate there life and are not friendly. No smiles. The Starbucks in there is awesome and friendly.
This Kroger is the biggest one that I have ever been to. They have all kinds of stuff that you would never expect to see. The deli section is a great place to grab a quick bite to eat and its very tasty.
Very friendly staff. I do notice when I am noticed and greeted with pleasant smiles. Thanks for having a great attitude no matter what time I find myself visiting a Kroger. I will have a great experience and find those super specials that I just cant pass up!
Theyre always great prices and even better employees
Saturday before Superbowl. Parking lot full of buggies. As usual only one cashier available. No one to assist. The cashier rang up groceries and bagged as well. Or course, the self-service lanes were staffed.
Its always clean, the workers are wonderful and always willing to help!!
I like this Kroger for the most part...when Ive gone into the store. The problem Ive had was the lack of communication from the Clicklist team for grocery pick-up. There have been two times where Ive waited 20-30 minutes for the groceries to be brought out to my car....this would be after calling 2 times asking if I needed to come back because the groceries werent ready. Im fine with waiting; however, Id be much more satisfied if the Clicklist team would call to let me know what is going on.
I have been a customer for over 28 years. Always found staff helpful and friendly. Love the coupons and magazine with recipes. Thank you Kroger.
My visit was fine. Found e everything I needed. But when I get to the front to check out. No one but the self check out. I HATE SELF CHE K OUT!!!! I WILL DRIVE TO ANOTHER STORE TO GET A HUMAN CHECK OUT!
I drive out of my way to go to this Kroger when Im in Augusta. I like the people that work there. I like the layout. Its a comfortable grocery store. Plus their bakery/deli is the best Kroger bakery.
Cashier was distracted when I checked out. She was talking to a customer/friend/acquaintance who was on her way out of the store. I waited for about 2 minutes for her to acknowledge my presence and check me out.
Awesome! Lots of selections, clean, and helpful. Prices are great as well. Go visit for yourself and experience the way shopping should be.
The variety of cheeses are really the only reason I go there. Parking is crammed packed, unfortunately.
I had a very friendly n helpful cashier at the Columbia road Kroger. Have gotten very upset with some of previous cashiers n baggers who want to put all the items in 1 or 2 bags that makes them so heavy we cannot lift themThis was at the Evans Kroger. I have gotten so I dont want to go back there.
Typical kroger. Fairly well stocked and in and out pretty quickly
I really wish they had the staff working the cash registers. It makes me so mad to see 3 workers standing around doing nothing while I’m scanning my own groceries. I’m not a worker, I should’ve have to scan $100 worth of groceries myself..........
I shop @ Kroger for the freshest, and the variety of vegetables. Most of the time, if I ask, theyll have what I want in the back. Today, I asked for rapini & they had a fresh box.The same goes for Ingrid, in the seafood department. Today she brought me beautiful froglegs. She also had fresh cod, and scarlet snapper. This deli has excellent fried chicken. I was too early for the dark meat special, but I couldnt resist the 8-piece.Ive shopped at three other stores in the area. I think this is the best one.
I went there Friday night (January 10th) at about 9:30 PM. There were quite a few shoppers. Got my cart of groceries, and come to find out they had no cashiers working. None! 15 people in line for one or two self checkouts.I asked the poor harried worker why there wasnt any cashier, and she said I can check out myself. I told her I dont work for Kroger, but I do pay for a cashier when I pay for my groceries. She was helpful and polite, but I left my full cart in the aisle. Not having any cashiers on duty is extremely disrespectful to the customers. And there are other Krogers.
I hate to complain but I wish Kroger would deliver the groceries using actual Kroger workers.. I had no idea instacart did it for the Kroger app. I had a very rude woman toss my groceries on my porch and now Kroger store won’t do anything about it and isntcart does not answer their customer care line. I can’t believe people get away with this behavior and get paid on top of that. I will never shop for a driver through Kroger again . Sticking with public who did an amazing job. It’s just sad ....
Friendly staff and great prices!
Go early in the morning for best experience. During the day its chaotic and a free for all. Very nice when its not too busy.
Service is typically okay with items being easily found, the but the staff isnt entirely friendly, and the recent store hour change after many years with no warning to customers was also jarring.
A great place to get groceries at a good price
Been going here for years. Great store. Decent pricing. Nice pharmacy. Oh and the cheapest gas in town!
Excellent! The customer service is by far the best in the area. Thank you for doing an amazing job! Love the cupcakes!
I love the prices on milk and all the ten for ten deals plus I love the Sushi lady she knows what I want
Great store and great location. So much so that they are constantly crowded. This would be a great thing but they really need a bigger parking lot. We live in the neighborhood next to it and its open 24 hours so thats a HUGE plus. However, you cant ever find a place to park making it super inconvenient. We often have to go to the Bi-Lo further up the street. It would be great if they would expand into a super Kroger and add a much bigger parking lot.
Personally I think its the best grocery store around. Prices are good, sales are good, app is amazing
I dont have a Kroger in Pa. Where I love. I love this store. Large varieties. Great prices.
Honestly, its a good size and has a good selection. The parking lot sucks so bad. The stupid gas station is inadvertently a hazard because those people dont know how to drive and youve got to get past them, twice, to one of the most busy intersections in Augusta.
Wonderful experience I would recommend anyone to shop there. Customer service was great staff was eager to assist you.Great Job Kroger !!
Very nice store. Well maintained and fully stocked. Kroger has competitive prices and quality food.
This Kroger is awesome, they have way more stuff, and they were cleaner. Definitely go to this Kroger.
Worst dairy department in town! Always half empty and almost never has what I need- gallons of skim and vitamin D milks. Other sections normally pretty well stocked. Friendly be helpful employees
Always friendly and clean. Its pretty crowded most days but Ill put up with the crowds as long as the service is good.
It was crowded. No one was on store floor to help me find one item. No one available to get item off top shelf. Strawberries and crushed pineapple were sold out. Was surprised no one was re-stocking. Long wait in self check out. Otherwise it was good.
Very awesome food and service.. Alicia was a great waitress, very polite and it was just an overall nice experience.
Love kroger deli and bakeries
This is a smaller store. I like the selection. Someone mentioned they dont stock the produce, but they stock fresh produce every day. Friendly cashiers and meat dept clerks. Great selection in the deli and bakery.
Always willing to assist in making sure you find everything you need. Kroger great store!
The best grocery store around
Fuel points are my favorite. I love shopping here. Organized and friendly.
Great customer service and very clean
In total the store is nice, unfortunately in my opinion the produce is a little lacking. The pharmacy is great and the pharmacy employees rock!
Love this store.
Its tje store to get everything you need at a great low price
Nice and dependable. Easy access pharmacy drive thru. Nice helpful employees. Kept clean and well stocked. Aisles are usually front and faced properly. Pharmacy staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Parking is a little difficult during peak hours. As spaces are slim. Gas station in front.UPDATE:Review on their new clicklist grocery pickup. This is a total life game changer. First everyone involved in this is super nice. From the person that answers the phone to the one that brings the groceries to your car. For a mama with several kids this option helps more than they can even imagine. No more worrying about finding a sitter when kids are sick and you need supplies. No more of kids begging for every single item they see on every aisle. This makes grocery shopping a breeze!! Normally in a service like this I would think tipping is appropriate. But both times I have done this the employee refused my top only asking that I continue to shop with them. This was suck a sweet gesture and a surprise. Columbia Rd Kroger has been my store for 30 years and nothing will be changing. Also note on the Kroger App for this service, its very easy to use. And I find that I can shop for items as I run out of them and put them in my cart. Also they have digital coupons you can load to your card and they will automatically take it off. Note this will not reflect on the app but it will reflect on your receipt as long as you have loaded it to your card.
Great store. Everything you need and more is offered here. Affordable prices as well.
Large store, great sales. Parking lot is huge. Staff is super helpful, have yet to run into a staffer that wasnt super helpful. I will go back.
So I take the time to get in my car and drive nearly 2 hours to come down here and shop in your stores. Every Kroger I’ve been in so far got a set of toys with your Christmas merchandise. Walk in and it’s not out. I asked a girl who pages a manager named Mr. Pearson? He’s apparently in his office and too busy to come talk to me in person and tells her no we don’t have them. Kind of hard to go Check when you don’t take 2 minute to go look when I’m the one to who got in my car and wasted all of that time to shop in your store. Ace customer service right there.
They always have everything we need. I also use the pharmacy. Everyone is always so friendly.
Remarkable man in the deli section. Seems like he really likes his job.
Love this Kroger! Always try to go rlyy early or later at night bc the parking lot can get crowded. They could us a bigger parking lot but the store itself is 👌
My favorite shopping store! Food, food
We have multiple krogers in the area this is the only one I will ever go to! I had the nicest cashier Ive ever had in my life yestersay I believe her name was Vickie (I really hope im remembering right) she made my check out so stress free with having to do multiple checkouts an separate transactions. I had my 10 month with me she wasnt very happy at the time so super fussy any parent knows that adds more stress. I was holding the line up for what felt like so long, and she just made me feel like everything was okay. Kept telling me its fine weve all been there, etc I NEEDED THAT! All their staff is the nicest, but she is the icing on the cake! You can get the same groceries just about anywhere but not the same service!!
Didnt find what I was looking for but I know its because of the fabulous sale I always enjoy shopping at Kroger
