Amazing local ice cream shop in MKE with many vegan options to choose from. I got the vanilla chocolate chip and the raspberry nebula. Both amazing and the staff and owner was super helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back and highly recommend to all VEGAN ice cream lovers out there!

Very bad experience. My 7 year old asked for a Waffle cone with almonds that crack right when one of the employees put the scoop in. So the employee automatically put it in a cup, so I replied by saying “ aren’t you going to change the broken cone in to another one?” ( since we wanted a cone not a scoop on a cup with a weird looking cone now) so she ask another team member if she could do that, and she rudely said no, to just add some waffle crumb as a topping. Like what the heck we asked for a cone not a cup. What type of customer service is this??

Absolutely love this place! They have creamy vegan ice cream and sorbets. Get the vegan sundae with brownie toppings! The employees are all nice and quick with getting your order.

Woooooow, came for the incredible brownie Sunday and it did not disappoint. It was topped with chocolate dipped cone pieces, whip cream (not out of a can) and of course a cherry. You get to choose what flavor of ice cream tops the brownie. They have vegan and dairy choices.

I like it, but I want to love babes. I feel like they go overboard on the dairy alternatives. They didnt even have a plain chocolate when I was there. I selected a fabulous chocolate chip cookie dough, but it was just one of a very few dairy options. Staff was great. Place was clean.

The young lady that served us quoted me the wrong price, when I questioned her about the price she said it was taxes. Plus, her attitude was not pleasant. Probably will not patronize again

Try to come here at least once a year. They have a really good selection of flavors and toppings. They have a freezer for ice cream cakes and pies. The employees r always friendly.

Really disappointed. A very small cone for $4? $6 for a regular shake? This isn’t some swanky place or neighborhood…it’s Bayview. They need to offer more value for the money. Maybe it was just a bad employee but I won’t make this mistake again trying here again. It’s a cute place and quality is good but prices are WAY too high!

First time here... They have many flavors.. many most ice cream places dont have... They even have soy options.. my daughter has lactose issues sooooo that was a def plus.. we will for sure b back!

Absolutely THE BEST Vegan Ice cream and vegan whipped cream that is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! highly suggest the black cherry vegan milkshake. The best. (they so have doggy sundaes!)

The staff was lovely - friendly and helpful. The ice cream cake is delicious! Definitely worth it.

They claim they no longer give samples due to COVID.. that is just using the pandemic to give worse quality service. Samples are individual spoons that you throw away after each bite.. how could that possibly be bad?

Absolutely love their vegan espresso oreo ice cream! I got it as the Best Brownie Sundae Ever on their menu and the whip cream is dairy free too! Im so happy theres an ice cream shop that I can go to that wont trigger my severe allergies to milk!

So your ice cream truck was at Chill on the Hill tonight at Humbolt Park. The girl working the window was the rudest little girl ever. She gave my daughter some kind of ice cream with peanuts in a cone, my daughter says something and they literally dump it in a dish and send her on her way, giving her an attitude about it. My daughter is allergic to nuts. She ended up throwing it out and coming back to me and told me about what happened. I went back and the same rude little girl at the window gives me an attitude! Never ever will we spend another DIME with you guys and we will let everyone we know how you guys treat customers.

In my opinion this is THE Ice cream parlor of Bay View. I havent tried everything, but I have loved everything I Ive tried. Every time I go I receive service with a smile. Flavors change frequently enough and Im sure you will find something to your liking.

Today we checked it out for the first time. Lots of flavors including some soy. My waffle cone was a bit stale but they helped all the folks out quickly. Parking in this area is always a bit tricky if you dont want to pay a meter.

I love this place for Ice Cream, its a cute little shop in Bay View area. Has great selection of flavors & Vegan options. Its a bit of a challenge for parking but is worth parking a little ways away & taking a nice walk.

Babes has awesome desserts & an awesome staff to accompany very reasonable prices! There are plenty of vegan options & they even have Italian ice + sherbet for the lactose intolerant ladies & gents! Theres something for everyone & I doubt anyone will have any leftovers!

I love there the ice cream there, Its really the only place around me that I can get the the chocolate shoppe brand ice cream but their being complete mask dictators. dont even try to walk in without a mask, and for the record I am fully vaccinated -Not like Im an anti masker.

Vegan ice cream need I say more? i had thee best coffee oreo dairy free malt. So many flavors to choose from both vegan and regular ice cream. First visit and I will definitely be back. The young man who waited on me was so patient and really helpful because I asked a ton of questions.

Excellent ice cream but expensive! I get the same ice cream in Cedarburg year round for much less (pay per ounce in Cedarburg so you can also mix as many flavors as youd like)! I dont think Ill be back because of the price.

I would love to be able to actually review this place, but unfortunately they were closed for the season when I went there. I wish they would have posted that information on their website and saved me the trip. Ill check back in March though because their vegan desserts look delectable. 5 stars because I know its going to be outstanding whenever I do try it.

****My visit was on 7/2/18Ice cream was good, but Im a little confused on my total billI purchased a 2x double scoop waffle cones dipped in chocolate with nutsWhich was 5.80 X2 =11.60I had and used a buy one get free, up to $5.00 offSo $11.60 - $5.00 = $9.81???I paid $ 9.81 when my total without any coupons was going to be $11.60I tried contacting a manger or someone in charge and was told the owner would contact me and nothing. I called twice after a few HOURS of waiting for a call back. My concern is their equipment isnt correctly ringing out customers or worse, purposely over charging the customer. Wasnt impressed by that, especially since this was my first impression. Dont know if Ill come back.ADDED PICTURE OF RECEIPT AS PROOF****I changed the review to 1 Star becuase the employees would say to me, Ill give her your number and Ill ask her to call you back and nothing. I would call them multiple times a day to remind them that I wanted to speak to the owner and nada! OBVIOUSLY they dont care about their customer or they would off called me back. Babes created a phenomenal masterpiece of a banana split ice cream torte with Reese’s peanut butter cups and peanut butter drizzle for my boyfriend’s birthday party. It was so much better than I could have even imagined, we couldn’t stop raving about it! I know it wasn’t the standard menu item but let me tell you- it was so good I might have to get it again for his birthday next year! I don’t think anything could top it! Thank you thank you!

The selection is always incredible. They are super nice and even give your dog water to drink. The cakes are delicious. No political drama right or left to deal with is also a big plus these days.

I nanny 3 kids and they are often indecisive about their flavors, but the staff is always super nice and helpful! They have a wide variety of flavors and even have vegan options.

Babes is hands down the best spot in Milwaukee for ice cream!! They have soy, vegan and regular ice cream to satisfy any sweet tooth! The staff here simply can’t be beat, my family and I are always greeted with a smile and how are ya doing! Love this place!!

A smaller soda shop feel when you walk through the door. They have a freezer full of ready to go desserts with at least half being vegan friendly. Custards, cookie sandwiches, sorbet and themed sundaes. Whether freezing or scorching outside Id recommend stopping in for a single or double (or triple) scoop and standing room or ordering a pint to go.

All were very nice that it was difficult to choose the best among them. The ice cream is very delicious and creamy.

I was just here with my mom because I am not feeling well, and ice cream is the only thing not making me sick. My mom went in the store to get my favorite flavor of cookies and cream, but they didn’t have it. Without hesitation she offered to make a quart by combining vanilla with the Oreo topping pieces. This is above and beyond service, and I can’t thank them enough.

Ive lost count how many times Ive gotten the vegan Raspberry Nebula Shake... When Im not indulging in their tasty delights, Im thinking about the next time I will be (upcoming party? Bring an ice cream pie or cake!). Always friendly, personable staff. Great selection of vegan and non vegan scoops, cakes, pies, shakes, pints, etc.🍦!!!

Love the choices, especially the availability of no sugar added flavors which is great for a diabetic (meaning me). The waffle cone was delicious. Plus the location can’t be beat.

Found this little gem last summer on a mission to find new ice cream places. me and the hubby tried babes on a lunch date and he loved it and now our children do too because you can mix it up and make your ice cream a shake!! the family here is awesome they always make you feel comfortable!

Cute shop. Several vegan and dairy free options. I actually didn’t like the shake I got and mentioned it to the cashier. I asked if she could add some chocolate, which she said no. No problem, my mistake. I ended up not really drinking my shake. My friend said her $6.75 ice cream cone wasn’t really worth the money. I probably won’t go back but I also wouldn’t not recommend it.

Best ice cream in the multiverse! Not only is the staff always a pleasure but they have the best selection of ice cream flavors as well as beautiful ice cream cakes! Their selection of vegan ice cream cant be beat and is the best non dairy ice cream Ive ever had and Im not even vegan!! Their treats can only be improved when paired with an amazing coffee drink from Stone Creek next door.

Staff was extremely friendly and outgoing! The portion sizes looked small but they were actually perfect size, completely satisfied😊 As far as prices go the somewhat high prices are well worth the quality of ice cream and service received! New~ if you like standard flavors it’s hard to find. Went again because we where in the area and they didn’t have standard strawberry or chocolate ice cream. They did have standard vanilla. Staff was friendly- soy and vegan choices... prices are alittle high. If your willing to try something new try the key lime if they have it.Old~Small variety of ice cream to choose from. They also have vegan and soy choices. You can taste test. They dont have just plain chocolate ice cream that was a shock. Prices are high. But the place was clean and the staff is super friendly.

Loved the Fat Elvis...banana ice cream with chocolate chips and peanut butter. Very well done. Beth had lots of gluten free option and went with macinac island fudge. Twice. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly.

I have been here many times. It has some great ice cream. This last time I was a lil disappointed. My daughter, who is 4, wanted to have blue moon. She did not like it after two bites. I asked for another kind of ice cream and cone. They obliged but still charged me full price. While as a business you should make money, but its a good idea to keep customers as well.

Good ice cream cute spot! unfortunately I said yes to the whipped topping on my malt. She pulled out a piping bag which threw me off but I guessed it was homemade. It was really gross I didnt get to finish the last of my malt because the whipped topping was so nasty :(.

I loved this place until today. Was told my dog is no longer welcome because its not a lap sized dog. I have been coming here for a year now and started coming because they were labeled as a dog friendly busines. I have respect for a business to change policy for health or just incident reasons but then it should have been all dogs not allowed or all allowed. Being prejudice is a very unfair rule, my dog is very well behaved and friendly so makes no sense that he is not allowed but a little dog is. Wish they would have been sensitive to not becoming prejudice so we will no longer be returning customers.
