Got the turtle mocha and you could’ve told me it was straight up chocolate milk, and i would believe you. no caramel flavor or coffee flavor. definitely not worth $5.50 for what seemed like watered down chocolate milk. the breakfast burrito was okay, not worth the $7.50, and honestly majority of it was…. red onion and tortilla. it looked more like a quesadilla because there wasn’t a lot of filling. i was taking bites of pure red onion. website says masks are required which i find laughable because the workers were not wearing masks, nor gloves when switching from doing the dishes to preparing the food. one of the workers was especially unpleasant/rude and seemed under the influence of something. the other worker was friendly though. extremely slow service too, when we were the only ones there. cute atmosphere though.

Coffee is as good as any large chain coffee shop coffee but the food is way better. This place has a great and unique ambiance. Service is a little slow but thats because a lot of the food is made fresh to order. Definitely worth checking out.

Coffee was just okay, very sweet even though I requested less than normal be put in. The shop is quaint, study areas are dark and other reviews show the food is good. We did not order food but we *smelled* like grease for the rest of the day & almost had to leave due to the smell. If you are sensitive, not the shop to cozy up in.

This place is pretty cool, good coffee and tea. Fantastic banana 🍌 bread. Has a diner-esk feel up front, and white washed brick walled little rooms which give a different visual and auditory vibe. Its very different from your normal coffee shop layout, but thats not a bad thing.Try it out sometime.

I really loved this place. It was my first time on my birthday. I had a mint mocha. It was a perfect blend, not too sweet and not too minty. The place is unique with lots of cool things to look at. Definitely will go back.

Extremely rude staff. I went in with a friend and they didnt even acknowledge us being there. The woman at the front counter didnt say a word to me except for the total, and simply stared at me waiting to order. We were the only people in the place, so I cannot even give the benefit of a doubt. When our drinks were ready, they simply pointed to them and said theyre right there several minutes after they were ready instead of when they were actually ready. No thank you, no have a nice day, nothing that even meets the minimum of adequate customer service. It felt like we were imposing on them with our business. I love to support small local business and its part of the reason Im willing to pay $5 for a black coffee in the first place.The rude staff is not an isolated incident I have been in here several times over the last couple of years and it is like this more times than not. This is the only local coffee shop I experience this hostility.If the drinks/coffee were mind blowing I would give a higher rating, but they are fairly standard. The hostile staff really puts a bad taste in mouth, and I would not recommend unfortunately. I want to like this place, but it is simply the staff that holds them back.

I recently moved in nearby and Ive been trying out all the local coffee shops and cafes. This place was pretty cute and eclectic, but staff didnt seem like they even wanted to be there. My hot Chai latte wasnt very good. It was nearly flavorless, like spiced water. And it was a bit pricey, so that is pretty disappointing. I wont be back.

This was the first coffee shop I visited when I moved to Minneapolis and it is still one of my favorites. Food is good, coffee is great, vibe and aesthetic is perfect for me.

I was riding by on my bike and it was about 3 degrees and I was cold. So I thought I would stop I for a coffee to warm up. The coffee shop is located inside an old warehouse. When you first walk in you get the smells of home cooking, baking, and coffee. Like you walked into your grandmas kitchen. The counter staff was very welcoming and made a few suggestions. They had homemade chili on the stove. It was a perfect choice for a Mpls winter afternoon. I had a Carmel coffee to go with it. Both were delicious and hit the spot. This was my first time there but I will be back for some Apple Pie.

I came here a month or two ago when out on a walk with a friend. My friend comes here often and likes it, and I figured it must be a good place. The atmosphere is super cute, but tiny. But all of this was overshadowed by the super unfriendly staff person at the counter. Upon entering, I inquired about the kind of teas available. The person at the counter was very unfriendly and came off as an incredible jerk. I thought perhaps he was having a bad day, but when I asked my friend about it she said he was always like that. His attitude was such that I will never come to this place again.

Classic NE neighborhood spot with unique interior thats great for getting work done. However, service and coffee lack in speed and quality. Be sure to check it out when youre in the area!

Kind of warm inside which is welcome part of the year and the other part it doesnt matter because you are dressed for warm.The food is pretty good at a good price.I do like their coffee.

I like them and their coffee. Nothing terribly to write home about except for the soups are pretty good and the staff is always really friendly. Ive heard they have good grilled cheese sandwiches so Im definitely have to check that out the next time around there and eat lunch. Who doesnt like soup and a grilled cheese.

I love the space, which is divided into several small rooms where you can always find a quiet corner. The coffee is not bad. For food theres a decent selection but only tried the key lime pie, which was so-so. Great place to meet for conversation. Has wifi, mostly reliable.

Diamonds is a winding little puzzle of a coffee house, large menu, delightful beverages, lots of space. People who work here are great. It has a creative feeling throughout, blending old minneapolis wood floors with art spaces and industrial loft utilitarian style. Youll want to wander around the space with your coffee and shop for art.

Outstanding! Large Chi was 4.25. Cheaper then Starbucks. Very friendly. I made a comment about a bowl of chili that went by me. Looked and smelled awesome. The friendly lady came back and little later with a small bowl for me to try. What a surprise!! By the way it tasted great! Will be back.

Building is a fun eclectic collection of businesses. Art a whirl is popular here. Diamonds does ok coffee and some food. Club sandwich is my favorite. But things are not fast. And the trendy crowds can get a bit overwhelming. Prices seem on the slightly high side.

Full of local NE MPLS charm, Diamonds is my favorite coffee shop in the Twin Cities. Its got an unfinished industrial warehouse ambiance. The coffee and food are excellent. I schedule many meetings here.

What can I say? I have never had a bad experience here and the staff are always so nice to me. The food is wonderful and the coffee beverages, in my humblest opinion, are much better than that of some of the corporate coffee shops I have encountered. You go Diamonds! Keep up the good work!

The owner is an awesome lady and I am glad for all of the motorcycle and non motorcycle related events they put on and participate with. We went for the all you can eat breakfast and I know they had a tough time keeping up with us vultures but they kept at it even if we were basically pulling bacon right off the grill.

This place is amazing! I love the staff! So much of their stuff is homemade in the shop, their deli meat is amazing and cut fresh, hummus and salsa is made from a secret recipe, and their doughnuts are delivered fresh every single freaking day. Great place! Bigger than you would expect from the outside. Lots of little rooms to sit in and explore. They have books and a few games to try out. Lots of artwork to look at and enjoy as well. Inside (and outside) are both dog friendly. Also have free treats for the doggos!! Staff are very helpful and friendly. Spend and extra 50¢ on coffee for free refills (worth it!!). Nice place to meet for coffee or work on homework for the afternoon. Hummus plate was also very delicious.

I do not like coffee, but I appreciate coffee shops I go to with my wife. I like nachos, they had nachos on the menu. This review is for the overall vibe, service and nachos. These three were sub par. Especially the nachos. Ive made better nachos at 3am. And I am not good at making nachos at 3am. I would not put them on my menu, and neither should they. Bad nachos.

The people running it at the time were phenomenal! Fun, intelligent and a great attitude! I will buy my coffee here from now on. Went in there recently and the guy working there was going to give me half a cup of cold press and the other half water when I asked for light ice. When i confronted him on it he said it is really strong. I responded by saying I get on occasion, I get 4 espresso shots at times in my coffee. I got the impression he was the owner. I wont go out of my way anymore to come here.

Im only reviewing in response to other negative reviews. Id like to clear up the whole only plastic issue. I have in front of me a GLASS of chai tea and the guy in front of me has a glass bowl. My husband has a mug of coffee. In fact, I see no plastic at all. Also, its not dirty! Its not immaculate, but its not supposed to seem that way. Its eclectic, cozy and full of character AND The art on the walls is done by a local artist. If you want perfection go to Starbucks. I love it here! I come here to just hangout all the time. I have a picture of my GLASS. of chai and the guys GLASS bowl.Oh and its actually open until 10pm:)
