One of my favorite places in town! Comforting, homey, and classic feel of a diner, but with a fun, urban, and inclusive twist! I have so many things to say about this place but I will love it there for today. Photos are from various visits over the past couple years. Regardless if you are a local or a visitor of Mpls, definitely recommend that you make a point of going here at some point!

Lovely diner, fast and friendly service. Ive definitely heard others talk about it. Food was portioned well, and its definitely worth the price. If I had one critique it would be to remember to wipe out the chair part of the booths. Other than that the food, atmosphere and service were phenomenal

I love being able to have a great place to eat and relax. They have bingo on Mondays plus karaoke Tuesdays and Thursdays so it’s a one stop enjoy spot. I am also extremely impressed with the manager Scott at how he was able to handle a rough situation for me plus his customer service and hospitality is above and beyond.

Excellent place. Love the food and the service. Nicholas totally rocked!! Definitely recommend. The local sodas are an awesome touch. Love the homemade jam, though they were out today. Also, ALL are welcome.

Food was good! We had biscuits and gravy and the eggs Benedict. The Benedict was definitely the better out if the two as the gravy was chicken based which was an odd taste, still good! The bloody Marys were okay, but not for how expensive they were. They did come with a beer chase though which is always appreciated. It was an okay place to try out, but there are many other places that are a bit better for what youre paying for.

Definitely in the top 10 worst dining experiences I’ve had, might even be top 5. I ordered the Cowboy burger medium-rare.The waitress was nice but said she was still training and struggled with menu questions. We waited a little over an hour for our food, and it was a disaster when it finally came. My bun was soggy, the patty disintegrated, and the only flavor the pork had was whatever BBQ sauce they bathed it in. My sister got eggs with hash browns & the hash was barely cooked, just browned on top, no seasoning.I blame management for the whole ordeal though. The kitchen staff were drowning with no help, and clearly little training, likewise with the wait staff. Jerry, the manager we spoke to, comped just my burger after I gave him no other option.Just get McDonalds over this place if you want a half decent meal. Management in this place need to get it together. Cost us $90 to feed 5 people here, not worth it.

You gotta love this place, weather it’s for the food, the 24 hour service, the eclectic smorgasbord of personalities you might encounter lol, or the obvious contribution to this neighborhoods wonderful revitalization there are more than a few reasons to love this great little diner that rests on the corner of Nicollet ave. and 15th st. S. in South Minneapolis. Being just outside of the downtown border means that you get to skip the hefty downtown tax, but beware that those couple of cents saved on the dollar sure won’t stop the tab from reaching an eye opening total when you reach for your wallet at the end of a meal with a couple friends. This of course is a new “after the club” hotspot to enjoy a bite to eat after you’ve been out dancing the night away, and you can bet that it’s a full house every morning at breakfast time too. Now don’t just take my word for it, swing on over and check it out for yourself, I’m sure that you’ll be happy that you did! Those were the worst biscuits and gravy that I have ever had. The meat and gravy tasted like a wet napkin. Absolutely devoid of flavor. $15 for something I wouldnt feed to my dog. Pancakes were aight

One and done. Yes, food very overpriced for the quantity. Three dollars for a small piece of French toast? Then they charge this 3% health tax but dont display it anywhere. Its only on the receipt.If these employees want better benefits, they can get far better jobs than menial work. Oh, those office jobs might not be as fun or play music, but they pay well and have decent benefits. Of course, these young workers today dont want to improve their skills or learn office etiquette; they only want their fun jobs as the new career.Certainly not worth the $20 I spent at this place. Its not a shocker why the young crowd always at that place expect free rent and tuition. They spend $100 a week at restaurants.

This place is great for a quick bit. They were extremely busy but definitely handled it well. Our server was great with the up-selling (her manager should be impressed) of breakfast side without realizing it.. for example she asked if you say hash browns or fried potatoes like they were included but they were not included with the meal I ordered. +5.95 she also got my husband with something as well. So breakfast ended up cost around $60. Well done Jasmine (think that was her name)!! 😂

Biscuit overcooked. It was bad. Fried chicken was tasteless. It’s not the same as it was. The vegetarian sausage was awful too. The Bloody Mary was okay. It was a very bland experience. Third visit here. I won’t be coming back unless I’m drunk and starving.

Good was good and filling; wait staff was efficient and helpful. Good COVID-19 protocols in place. If we lived here, it would be THE breakfast place for everyday good food.

The food was good but watching the servers and the kitchen just slam plate after plate was worth the stop. We actually ate here twice during our trip because they are open late so we stopped in the middle of the night and a couple days later during normal breakfast hours. The food was good both times.

Visiting from Illinois. Bartender Bart was awesome, just the right amount of sarcasm that made us feel like we hang out and not be rushed. Gave us a few recommendations of places to go after we ate. The food and drinks were great!

Eggs Benedict is a must try and they put BACON on the deviled eggs! So yummy!

They are not very careful. I keep ordering eggs basted runny, and often they are fully cooked. Their soups, however, are wonderful, as is their Hollondaise.

Four star diner overall. Food was above average. Staff was warm and inviting towards conversation. I loved the vegan impossible burger. Giving five star because the late night manage David was an absolute blast. If your reading this I will be back to play more chess. Dont let your game get rusty.

I selected this place for a early breakfast meeting.The parking was easy for downtown which was a big thumbs 👍🏾.The servers were excellent! They were great at discussing the menu and options.Seating was flexible due to my early arrival, but if you are coming for breakfast after 10:00 am on a Saturday - be prepared for a bit of a line.I had the corned beef hash skillet after I learned they made the hash in house, I added the Texas toast to the make the meal complete. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.If you are looking for breakfast with reasonable prices near downtown that is parking friendly, this is your spot!

Diner, karaoke, booze until 2, open 24/7, yummy comfort foods and vegetarian options. Honestly just a good place to wind down after a night out or literally a fun place to go to get drinks and sing some tunes. Love this place so much.

The fried pickles are done differently than other places by not doing the pickle chips and doing spears instead. They are more juicy and filling compared to pickle chips. The chocolate shake was great as usual there.

Three of us met at 6am for breakfast. Server was friendly but inattentive. Despite barely anyone being there, our food took forever. When it arrived, my dining companions Hollandaise sauce had broken entirely, yet was delivered to him. The server said nothing, but her coworker, (another server, unsure if she was training ours) came over and asked us what we thought about that and that we should say what we thought about it, we replied that it didnt look great, and she offered us something else. He got biscuits and gravy. I had the chicken fried chicken. Sauce was lukewarm and starting to congeal. Saw the manager when we first walked in, and then did not see him again until about an hour later when he was dealing with a lady overdosing in one of the booths. As we were leaving, emergency workers on a fire truck were walking into the restaurant, I presume to administer Narcan. Pretty safe to say Im not going back.

Gave me chicken wild rice soup instead of gravy. Lol

A little sketchy but a must experience this place has tons of greasy spoon options right outside the main strip and the locals are more than welcoming. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because some of the local regulars are not shy and tend to interrupt or provide you commentary. Banter can be odd but something I found highly entertaining. Maybe dont go here alone but do stop by

The food is excellent. The tables were clean. We were helped right away and offered water along being seated. Our server Nicholas was was very attentive.

This is a top-notch, breakfast-all-day diner with super friendly staff, and amazingly fresh, delicious food. They really go the extra mile by putting creative twists on breakfast classics (like croissant french toast or bbq pork omelettes!). I will absolutely be coming back her because I saw so many things on the menu I wanted to try! Youve gotta check this place out!

I got food here once and it took them 45 minutes to give me my order (scrambled eggs and a brownie). The app told me it wouldnt take long, so I was waiting at their walk-up window for most of that time. An uber eats driver who was trying to pick up an order there told me thats basically how their service always is. When they finally gave me my stuff, they said theyd comp it but Im pretty sure they didnt.I also go by this place on my way home from work every night and theres always something crazy going on - about a week ago there was even a shootout in their parking lot. Dont eat here.

Food is under seasoned and cooked mediocrely. Better food at at a Denny’s any day if the week. The coffee shop connected to it is pretty good, otherwise stay away from the actual food. Service is alright except my friend was shorted 10 dollars, he didn’t want to make a scene so he let it slide.

Great service and amazing food. I had the chicken fried chicken which had a perfect crispy breading. The homemade strawberry jam was not too sweet which allowed the natural strawberry flavor to shine through. It paired well with one of their biscuits.

OMG! The hamburgers were perfect, the fries cooked to perfection and shakes delightful. We left fat and happy. Staff was wonderful. If you havent eaten here, you are missing out.

I wanted to love this place, and cycled across town to try it on a Saturday morning - but its the kind of place that makes me wonder if one meal could give me a heart attack (fortunately not, but Im a bit worried about the regulars). I got the Hangover Breakfast and was disappointed by the eggs; no amount of greasy sides can make up for weak scrambled eggs. YMMV but please get your cholesterol checked.

Our waiter was also the barista and he was incredible! Super friendly, the service was fast, and everything was delicious! Easy to find and park, too. The White Lightning coffee was spectacular!

Smoking hot bartender provided fabulous drinks, service and conversation in addition to recommending the best breakfast/brunch Ive had anywhere in years. Highly recommended A++++

Ive been here 3 times and the food is always tasty. I had to dock a star because my crispy hashbrowns are always raw. Our first visit we werent sure who our waitress was because a girl came to get our drink and food order but we never saw her again but we were helped a lot by someone from the back. They was super friendly so it was cool. On another trip there is a young girl server who works her behind off. Running outside, inside, to go orders, phone and expedites foodfrom the window. Someone give this girl a raise and a promotion! We left her a nice big tip! I hope we see her again. Oh and the chicken wings are a must! So big and meaty! Make sure to ask for extra napkins for those.

Pretty good food. I got The Roadhouse Omelette and my boyfriend got the Country Fried Chicken. The omelette was flavorful. It came with breakfast potatoes and I paid extra 2.95 to substitute for French toast. The breakfast potatoes were not super crispy and seasoned - I liked Perkins better. The French toast crust was a bit hard to cut into, but the middle was soft and chewy and flavorful. My boyfriend’s Country Fried Chicken was a thick and dry which in the menu it described it would be pounded thinly. The flavor was good though. We also paid for parking so with parking and prices of the entree it was a bit pricey because each plate was around $14 and since I substituted for French toast my plate was like $17.

This food right here would have fead a family of 5/6 for $60... but only 2 tried to eat all this!! We did not succeed! The waiter was awesome! The Food was absolutely delicious!! We will definitely be back many times to come! Thank you so much for the great experience!

Friendly servers. Good reasonable prices. Food made to order. Dine in out or to take out. I had the chicken buffalo sandwich with fries and I took 1/2 of it home and ate it cold. Id recommend it.

Absolutely abysmal BLAT... The lettuce was both soggy and limp, yet both dried so much it was crisp and brown on the edges from the heat lamp, the fries were dark brown and obviously overcooked, and the side of ranch this was served with was STEAMING when I opened it! I understand keeping food under the heaters..... But perhaps not for this long, and not for something with cold items on top. If I could rate this a zero right now, I would. Im ashamed right now, I love telling people this restaurant is bomb.But tell me, would YOU eat this?

I popped into this diner for a real America experience. A Burger and milkshake :) the burger was fresh and pretty good and the shake was delicious, almost 2 cups worth. It’s look a typical diner but they have a bar area and some night karaoke. This place is open 24 hours! You can have breakfast anytime. The food quality was good. My only pickle was the Heinz Ketchup. Is that really Heinz?? It does it taste very different to the UK version.

Plating is a little messy..so that’s why I put 4 stars, but on the upside this Veggie Skillet is still so yummy 🤤

I had an excellent Jolly Roger burger and delicious Blueberry/Cheesecake milkshake at this very homey diner! The service was fun and reminded me of the diners in my hometown! Highly recommend visiting this Minneapolis staple if you havent already!

I came here with some friends, and sat outside. The service was great, the server was super nice and friendly, and made us all feel taken care of and welcome. I had a french dip with french fries - it was delicious! I had asked for the provolone cheese to be left off of my sandwich, but it came with the cheese. It was no big deal, and it was good with the cheese.I also had a cosmo type drink that the server recommended, which was delicious, and perfect for the summer evening.

Great local diner with great atmosphere. Everyone here was very friendly, and the food was very good. The french toast I had was some of the best Ive ever eaten.

The food is decent. Always takes way longer than promised to pick up. Last time I ate here my friends potato’s were nearly raw. It’s not a bad spot though, but there are better places for the amount of money they charge. The portions aren’t that large.

Ordered biscuits and country gravy through door dash and got biscuits with no gravy. The biscuits were very hard and dry as well. Hashbrowns were okay.

Food was great. Server Gabrielle was above and beyond great very curious and always smiling 😃. Would absolutely recommend this restraunt to family and friends.

When I said, Theres just no greasy spoon up in Minnesota!..... Oops! I was wrong..... Well, sorta. The manager was greasy enough, alright. Seriously dude?! You can take a chair shower at least!! Im talkin, 6 layers of funk on that dude!! And isnt there some health code against mutton chops!? I mean, Hyde made it cool again when he rocked em in That 70s Show, but heres a tip: save up the money youre spending on those expensive reruns on Amazon Prime, take all the money you DONT spend on soap, sell your yellow aviators (yup!), and go get a haircut!! The food was GREAT!! 👍

Ordered take out. I ordered Seriously French Toast.. I was expecting a couple of croissants. But they looked like they were normal french toast. Maybe it was because it was take out... Otherwise good service. If you do pick up they have a little window you can get your food from outside.

If youre looking for some great food paired with a fun environment, then this is your place. There menu had so many good options it was hard to pick. But everything was fantastic, the food, service, staff and experience. I will definitely be back.

Looking for a good breakfast on a Sunday morning is not fun. Every where is generally very busy. This was the case here as well. We took a counter seat by the cash register, door, dish washers area. Good service, good food and a decent price. The hardest working employee and the diner was definitely the female dishwasher and NOT the supervisor/management!!!! We would definitely go back again for breakfast.

Burger meat kinda bland, no seasoning in my opinion but they’re ok! I have no issue with everything else there food wise:) and staff is always super nice!

I had the chicken tenders and I got a half basket of fries and it was wonderful... it stayed hot the whole time I ate it... the service was absolutely positively perfect.... thankfully I just moved right around the corner from the place...❤️❤️

Ok. So it was crowded when we got there. That’s fine. We patiently waited to be seated (despite some people who came in after us being seated first). Fine. We then proceeded to wait over an hour JUST TO ORDER. Mind you, we counted at least 4 tables who were seated after we were who not only ordered, but got served. Mind you, the place went from 100 percent capacity to around 30 percent and we STILL didn’t get any service. Mind you, we literally had to ask for help twice, including to who I assume would be a manager to take our order. In all this, the staff seemed annoyed that we were complaining. Not a good look.

I grew up in the neighborhood so im pretty familiar with the pros n cons of the area during the late early AM hours or even during the day, However i finally decided to try the food while on break, It wasnt busy at all, However i waited for 20 mins before getting a beverage, then waited an additional 15 mins or so as they guy decided to train a worker, I informed them i was trying to grab a egg toast an juice b4 i had to get back to work an that MEANT NOTHING, I super hate bad customer service an for this I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE

The selection of items is fantastic, if not a little overwhelming. We had 12 people and they were able to seat us. Everything went perfect. The wait staff was stellar.

Food is good! I love that theyre open super late! The poutine was delicious with the beef gravy and I enjoyed my croissant breakfast sandwich and loaded hashbrown potatoes.

Walked in a little after 11 following a movie. I’ve only ever eaten here on one other occasion, but promised a decent experience to my current boyfriend-which we didn’t get. If you care about the taste/quality of food you pay for- DONT eat here. This is strictly a place people go when they’re drunk and everything else is closed. I ordered 20$ steak and eggs which was awful. My partner ordered the bacon blue burger. It’s a talent how everything can be cooked to “wellness” specifications but still be unflavorful and incredibly tough and dry. The only thing that was half worth the trip was contemplating the story behind the bullet holes in the glass next to where we were eating and the PB cup milkshake.

The food was some of the best tasting foods I have had in a very long time. The servers treat you really well and they keep the good vibes through the whole experience. I have really enjoyed my visit, and recommend everyone to try it

Super quick service. I got the club and it was magnificent. The campfire shake was awesome. Huge portions for every meal ordered. I love looking out the window at Nicollet Ave at night and annoying a great meal. Five stars.

Late just ten minutes trying to find parking and host was unhelpful, uncooperative and unable to seat us, even with two booths and two twin tables open! We supported this place a LOT throughout the pandemic but now that business is coming back, poor attitude and worse customer service has returned. There’s much better food, and MuCH better service, elsewhere. Good-bye!

If you want a quick bite and easy breakfast food, its a nice little place. Their coffee size is huge! I got the White Lightning coffee and the small size was big ($5).

I have a 30 minute lunch and came in here. Took me 8 minutes to get my order taken with nobody in here. People who ordered after me got their food first and it took them 1minutes to realise they overcooked my burger. Im looking at the timer now my order has been 19 minutes for a cabaret burger. I hope they replace the mouth breathers that cant count all the way up to 1 burger and frys.

It would have been perfect stars had we not had to ask for our table to be wiped down after we were seated. The food was great and fresh. Prices very reasonable. Ask for your bacon crispy, you wont be disappointed.

Looked all the info before we went. Website said they were open until 11pm, we arrived at a couple minutes past 10pm and they were closed, although there were still diners eating inside. Guy who came to the door said sorry when we said something about the website, we should be open until 11pm very soon, in a couple of days. Well the website should reflect their Real hours, or at least state that those are future hours. Waste of our time, my husband refuses to go back after that.

I ordered a waffle with strawberries and bananas for delivery. My day ended up being pretty busy, so I didnt get to the food until several hours later. I thought it would be ruined by then, but they did such a great job of packaging everything-- separating the fruit, butter, and syrup into their own containers-- that it was still great once I was able to eat. I really appreciate that they put in that extra thought.

Nicollet Diner is one of the best places to eat in the neighborhood. Breakfast is fantastic, the burgers are amazing and the ice cream sundaes are HUGE! Plus, the service is always fast and friendly.
