I own a 2019 Q60 I was recommended McDonald muffler and I spoke with Scott. He immediately set out to design a great Cat Back 2.5 inch exhaust for my Twin Turbo. I wanted something that was not to loud but that sounded aggressive. Im extremely happy with the outcome and highly recommend this shop. Excellent work.

I took my truck to 3 people and judged them based on how confident they were with the work I needed.These guys have never let me down in the past, and just proved themselves one more time. My truck required very tedious work with the old, rusted manifold. 10/10 recommended!

The best Exhaust/Muffler shop in Mobile!

On a family vacation in an RV and had muffler issues. Called McDonald, with no appointment, and they said they were able to see me. I wasn’t able to get there until they were about to close. As soon as I pulled up, he looked at the damages and ensured me he would be able to fix it, even though it was after hours. Highly recommend them for any vehicle.

Took my 04 Mazda MX-5 over to get it straight piped and I am very happy with the service I received. Highly recommend talking to Scott! Oh, and it’s affordable too. 😉

Thankful for individuals who did not take advantage of the situation. I was having problems with my car for a while. I had the catalytic converter replaced by another repair shop in Semmes, AL and the check engine light came on again 3 weeks later. After returning my vehicle to the same location of repair and although the same codes from the previous repair were cited as the problem, I was notified by the owner the check engine light was not a result of the prior work completed by his mechanics. This time when the check engine light came on, I opted to take it to McDonalds Muffler. The experience was great, and the team was very friendly. Needless to write, not only did I need a new catalytic converter, but I also needed a resonator. I am grateful for the reasonable price given to replace these parts. I respect honest individuals and will return to this location for future services.

Im in Mobile for a large truck show and realized my exhaust hangers were broke on my 72. I dropped in to McDonald Muffler and was promptly taken care of. The guys there treated me as if they had known me for years. I really appreciate the help today.

Pulled in without an appointment on a Friday that was the day after the 4th of July. All of the guys (especially LeRoy and his helper) were friendly, fast, and most importantly very helpful and for a fair price. My 88 sounds so good youd almost think it was a 98!

So I’m from out of town and I brung my truck here because ford wanted to charge me $1,400 dollars to replace my catalytic converter. And told me it would be 3 and a half to 4 hours for them to do it. Dude hooked his computer to my truck and in seconds knew what ford was talking about and did the service in an hour or so time frame and saved me well over $1,000 for arguably the same quality work. He did the repair and called another one of the mechanics as well as myself over to inspect the job. I’m completely satisfied and so is my wallet.

Not sure what poor ratings are about. My service was great, especially as car repairs go. My muffler rusted off at one of the joints and fell to ground. They fixed in 15 mins, showed me why and how while car on lift, and charged $40. Also fixed a piece of plastic on the bumper that came loose and walked me through a few things to watch out for under the vehicle, such as mud calking around wheel joints. Very knowledgeable and polite.

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would! Short story even shorter, I went in to make an appointment so they could look at my muffler, which was getting louder. After I went in, the guy told me hed take a quick look at it. We went out, he checked it out, and he told me it probably just needed tightened and to put it on the lift. I did, and 5 minutes later, the muffler issue was resolved, and he wouldnt take anything for it. Granted, it was 10 minutes of work, but I would have happily given him 10 bucks. If I ever need anything done to my vehicle, this place will be my first stop!

McDonald muffler replaced my bank 1 catalytic converter which is between the firewall and motor. The price was reasonable for this time consuming replacement.

Dropped my truck off at 7:45am and was told that it was going to take four hours. Called back at 1:30 to check on the vehicle status and they told me that they are short handed and was helping other customers that showed up after I dropped my truck off. And that it may be ready the next morning. So I showed up to see for myself my car was in the garage but was not being worked on. But they were working on all other cars but mine. Only because I showed up is when they started to work on the vehicle. Dont ever leave your car because they will put your vehicle to the side and fix everybody elses car. Will never use them again. Its one thing to be short handed. But to lie and put my vehicle to the side is bad practice.

My stepson took my truck here to get a muffler and exhaust installed and it looks like they were teaching somebody how to weld on my truck. What they couldnt see in front of them they didnt even weld and what they could see looks horrible. I wouldnt recommend going here unless you like half ass work done to your vehicle.

Had a catalytic converter that they installed and still under warranty go bad and damage my muffler. They charged us $40 dollars labor for replacing the converter and $110 to replace the muffler, that their part damaged our muffler. This was a bad business experience. This was done on Pat Libbys truck, and I will tell everyone to stay away. This is 2018 and i still hear bad things about this place. Everybody ought to know not to trust them. I am making a personal effort to do people a favor and tell them my bad experience
