This place is not a car lot, its a junk yard. The staff are crooks, that take advantage of people who dont know much about cars. Jason sold my son a car with multiple issues,two days later, they wont take it back or fix it. The car is a hazard to be on the road. This should be illegal to take advantage of people. They sell trash and keep your money when you call them out on it.Its sad that these people have made my sons first car buying experience a nightmare.

I recently bought an SUV from here and well lets just say its nothing but junk and they want 8,000 for. Not only have we only had a few weeks but in that time period 5 different things have been wrong with it. I asked only a few days to a week if we could trade it in and he said one thing well today I was told that if my credit was better he would do it but its not. I have 2 kids and stuck with a vehicle that barely gets me from point A to point B and im stuck with it because they will not do a trade in. So I do not recommend buying from Universal Motors.

I got a 2015 Honda Accord with just 500 down. And a way lower down payment then what any of the other places said. The finance guy did awesome and it didnt take long at all either! You best believe Im gonna be back!

These people are amazing! They have sold my family 3 vehicles! And have sold many of my friends cars and although some did most didnt have good credit at all but they got exactly what the wanted and with greats payments! My payment is just a little over 200! Love these folks!

Before I went to the dealership, I read the reviews and I noticed none of the reviews mentioned anything about junk cars like other dealership. That’s what made me go there. The sales staff were great and very professional. They listened to my needs and helped me find the right car. I will always recommend them to my friends and family.

Yes they have good selection of vehicles choose from sales lady was nice n kind to me i got test drive 3 of vehicles without hassle where most car lots not allow that only one she even told me bout program they have to help buyers get vehicle they choose or want im probably go back when get some money saved up to purchase one of them

Universal is full of it. I had my 1000down payment which Andre said i would need and proof of all my income. Then i was supposed to got a call back first thing is morning. I never got that call. I had to call him. Then tell me i need a co sign why when i got approved at a honda dealership. Only reason I didnt take that car was cause the insurance was more than the car note. Cosigner junk is a bunch of bull. Never will refer anyone here ever in life.Ms Richardson

I got a car from these people 8/15/2020 drove it home 8/18/2020 its back up there they call and said car fix my engine came on saying i needed a step motor so aug 20 went and got it then engine light came back on said it need oxgen line took it up there driving back Saturday 8/22 cause broke down wouldnt go pass 40mph and i paid $1500 down i really think i got a lemon so today they say its fix so im goin to go get it and i will let everybody know whats going on ima call fox 10 news

I called there to discuss a pair of vehicles I had already looked at and got a terrible attitude from whoever answered the phone... he even told me he not to ask him any questions....called them out on it on Facebook and they reported me...ill never give them a dime, nor anyone I know, and I know a lot..

Mr. George sold me a 2006 Isuzu Acender with a bad trasmission. He took possession of the truck back 36 hours after I purchased it, and promised to fix it. Mr George returned this 2006 Isuzu with the Transmission still messed up.Universal motors sold me a car with a bad transmission, and they got very nasty because I am letting anybody and everybody know NOT TO GO TO UNIVERSAL MOTORS IN SARALAND AL. Mr. George is a liar, and if you buy anything from them just expect them to treat you just like theyve done me!I cant even get to work to pay for the lemon!!

OCT 2018 UPDATE: ANDRE IS GONE! Theres a set of new staff altogether, actually! And boy, have things improved.Original Review:In August 2017, on the day of the eclipse, I decided I was going to try purchasing my first newer car, something not from the 90s. I knew I would need financing though, and was completely unfamiliar with the process. Beforehand, I had been scouting out different used car dealers local to me and noticed Universal Motors had what seemed to be a good selection upon a couple passes. So I decided to call them up; got on the phone with the owner, told him my situation, and he recommended I come down and speak with him.The long and short of it is, when I got there, I was directed to speak with the finance lady, Jennifer, that they had at the time, and she walked me through the whole process calmly and patiently – I was able to get an answer to all my questions and secured a car I wanted in the first day without feeling pressured. I closed the deal the next day with her and drove home with my first car from the current decade; happy to say I still have it now, and its doing great.Fast-forward to early 2018, I recommend the dealer to one of my friends, as they were looking for a new car due to theirs being on its last leg. We went in together and were directed to a guy by the name of Andre, and oh man... everything was the exact opposite of what I experienced the year prior. He was one of those old-school, slick-style salesman that seemed to operate as if it were 1979 – and trying to do that with two millennials is asking for a failed sale. Which inevitably was what happened: we found a car my friend liked, but Andre was pushing non-stop to complete the sale the same day, trying to hype up the car as if we werent already interested in it – a big turn-off. Eventually, after several hours spent trying to get answers to questions and only getting round-about half-truths, we decided to not complete the sale the same day. Andre then threatened the price would likely change if we had to wait to come back another day. Thankfully, we were able to speak with the owner about the situation and work with him directly instead, although due to his busy schedule, things ended up being put off for several days, and my friend decided not to follow through with the purchase.It just goes to show you that each person can have a wildly different experience at the same place. Mine was positive, pleasant, informative, and productive: I purchased a car, they received the full sum same day through a credit union I now intend to use long-term, and I established a good report with the dealer enough to recommend a friend. In turn, my friend got the shaft. I understand its difficult to find worthwhile employees who actually want to work and do well in a type of business that has a long and sordid history to it, but Andre is for pre Gen-X low-income bracket folk. He could sell to anyone with nostalgia for the good ol days, but not to a single youngun with a college education. Not sure if Ill recommend them again.Oct 2018 Review:I had another friend who needed a car fast, as theirs was involved in an accident that destroyed the frame. We had to go the financing route due to a lack of funds on hand, which was fine since they wanted a newer car anyway. Given my last experience with Universal Motors, I was originally hesitant to give them another shot, but after failing to find a car they were interested in elsewhere, we stopped in.The first thing I noticed upon walking inside was different staff. Andre was nowhere in sight. So I asked the person who greeted us, a younger male with a chill personality, if staff had changed out, and they confirmed as much without naming names.Main point: We walked away with a car my friend loved with as good of a financing deal as we were going to get anywhere else, and the transaction with them was smooth, informative, and chill - not rushed or pressured in the slightest. They even helped us to weigh the pros and cons where applicable. Im back to recommending them again!
