Nice place to store things

I visited Storage King on Saturday February 1, 2020 after ending my storage agreement with another over proced storage facility. After a short wait I met with the storage facility manager who was very attentive and helpful. He rented me a 5x5 unit at a great price so I am extremely happy with not only the service I recieved but the business. I plan to rent at Storage King for a while and advice others to do the same.

Last year I visited all, and I mean all of the storage facilities within the Newark Area. Ferry St, Raymond Blvd, Norfolk St, and of course the three just off of McCarter Hwy aka Route 21.The lighting, elevators and climate control are superior at this location. I have a need for multiple in and outs all year long. My family uses this unit as a giant closet for larger seasonal items, decorations, etc...as well as for clothes, shoes, and items that require more frequent trips and exchanges. I wanted a friendly and SAFE location for my wife and daughter to be able to move items in and out without always being present...THIS location is the only one that fits that need. It is not always about moving stuff, it is sometimes just about finding stuff...with all of the lighting and climate control, items do not have to be pulled out of the storage unit to another area to search for items...items can stay right in the unit as we look through and search for what is needed. Like I said, we use the unit like a big closet. When we are done, we simple close the door, put on the lock and head to the elevator.On top of all of what I described, the staff is extremely helpful and courteous. Whether you need is a dolly, hand truck or a box for your stuff, the staff is there to help with your needs. Of course you still have to move all of your OWN STUFF...however, you need anything else, the staff is there for you.I do often buy my storage boxes from Home Depot, but it is nice to know if you happen to need to just drop something off, or possibly take something out of the car and need to get it in the unit, you can always get a box and some tape onsite to provide you ease of access to get the STUFF out the house and into the unit...and that is the whole point.

I recently used this storage facility when i was out of the country for a few years for business. I was pleased that this facility had multiple sizes and discounts to choose from as well as climate control to keep my stuff just as i left it no matter the temperature outside. The convenience of online bill pay allowed me to easily pay my bills from halfway across the world! Ive had a unit at this location since 2011. They will go up on the price every so often but they will work with you when it comes to making payments. On the 5th day after the due date they tag on a late fee and they will call you to ask for payment too.They keep the facility at a cool temperature to minimize dust build up, which is a plus. Its also pretty clean here too.

WOW let me first say that the professionalism of this company is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are a lot of companies that sadly dont care enough about their customers nor have the drive to conduct a business. I am happy to say that this is NOT that type of company. If you want to feel welcomed, have professional people who care, have complete understanding that you and your belongings are safe, and have the best overall experience.... there is no where in this world I would choose then THE KING Rosa is just a pleasure to work She understands the company she works for but more importantly she understands her customers. She makes you feel like Storage King is your home away from home!!!!!! Needless to say my experience with this company has been just SMURFABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and a huge Thank you goes to Rosa!! Used the Storage King because it was convenient in terms of vicinity to my college dorms and because it has useful truck service free of charge.The truck with a driver would come right up to the dorm, even though theyre not allowed to help you with bringing down boxes etc... but that was never a problem.Every time I called, anyone who answered was very nice over the phone, and even when there was a little misunderstanding, they made sure to take care of it right away and apologized.Very affordable because I only needed a small size storage and I could take advantage of the student discount.Ive been using Storage King for 3 summers and it is definitely a good relief to leave my stuff there and not have to worry about it at all.And after a couple of times using it, there is also a nice atmosphere with the employees and drivers. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I do not know where all high rating comes from. The facility itself is acceptable, but the way they do business in deceptive. Here goes this charge and here goes another charge knowing that these charges outweighs the process of going to another facility provider. The manager even lied to me that storage insurance is mandatory, but the signed paperwork stated it is not mandatory. Would highly recommend next door storage blue. Dont let them hold you hostage.

Storage king USA located in Newark, NJ failed to inform its customers that their free truck service is only applicable in the NJ area, thus compelled its customers to either pay for the tickets for crossing to NY, or pay the booking fees if their customers failed to show up in person to cancel their transaction within 24hrs. If this isnt modern day scam, I am not sure how to call it.I graduated from New York University and I will be more than happy to file a lawsuit against them. The more notice I receive from you (customers) regarding this issue, the higher likelihood we will get a good compensation for the damages they caused.

I would highly recommend using this facility. It is clean well ling and Luis was outstanding from lease signing to scheduling. If you need storage, choose Storage King USA!!!

I rented from the facility in Passaic. Great facility, great front desk person. Knowledgeable, friendly, articulate, explained all the rules. Great experience. Fair price. Easy to find in Passaic at the corner of Main Ave and Chestnut. One of the best experiences I have had at a storage facility. Fair price, great hours, clean, easy to understand. I definitely recommend them. I rented a locker. The only drawback is that I had to use stairs. They seem stable. You have to by insurance if you dont already have it and buy lock to be used at their facility. You keep the keys. I give them a nine out of ten.
