Great people!
Technicians were really nice with great sense of humor. Solved my problem in good time. Authorized technicians for my brand, and computer was under warranty, so no charge, which is always good. Only complaint is the smoke smell in the building.
Very friendly, but one problem I ran into was, the graphics card that my daughter was supposed to have installed on her HP Pavillion computer, was incompatible, so her card could not be installed. We were not told that until after techs worked on it. (While they took 3 hours to try to get it fixed, I checked the HP website, which clearly states that the card was incompatible with the motherboard. This means that it just could not be installed, and work, in the computer, no matter what you tried. It also means that you would have to find a list of compatible cards, and install one of those).(This was rather frustrating, seeing as we had called Wayno Enterprises, in Newport News, and he told us that it was compatible; thats why we bought it in the first place. We previously were supposed to have Wayno install it, but he was unavailable that day)The techs at Hampton Roads Computer still tried to fix it, even though there was no real solution). Bottom line, we never got the computer fixed, and was still charged the $50 installation fee.I do recommend before going here, or any computer repair or service store, that you do research. If you are going to have anything installed or repaired, check out hardware and software compatibility on the manufacturers websites. And be sure to have the computer repair shops clarify any policies, before going there. We were never told that we were going to have to pay, even if they didnt fix our problem.I was able to return the graphics card, for a full refund, so that took away some of the frustration. But, I had to pay $50 to them, for work that was not completed. And, they did print out a list of compatible graphic cards, which I appreciate very much.I think I will buy one of those and search YouTube, for graphics card DIY installations, this time.
