Great Selection of cakes, meats and other specialty items. I love to get my teams cakes from the bakery. They are so beautiful and delicious.

The fresh fruit and vegetables section is typically well stocked w fresh stock. Nice variety of cheeses that Ive never had before. The beer selection is pretty decent also.The best thing about this location was the bar/grill section. I really liked being able to stop by after a long day at work for a drink and their daily special off the grill. Hunger gone, now get groceries.... They closed the grill and said there is no plans to bring it back. Boo !!

Great place but food on the buffet wasnt great. After covid the food kinda sucks. But everything else is great.

CAUTION!!!!Whole Foods Newport News is knowingly selling expired Beyond the Meat products.On 8/17/21 I spoke with a manager asking them about their dates. They explained they no longer sell these products frozen. When they get them into the store they thaw them and mark them for 10 days out, and then it’s “Up to the customer’s discretion” to buy it or not. They do not post this anywhere.On the back of the product it states, once thawed, to eat within 7 days. So, if a customer purchases this on the WF sticker date, they are unknowingly eating it 3 days past expiration. The sticker does not state whether it is sell by or expiration, it is just a date. So, even if you eat it before this date, it may still be expired. If you eat it after this date, well, best of luck to you and your stomach.When I attempted to explain this to the manager he became aggressive and told me they will not change their policy. He was very rude. I told him I’ll be reporting the store to corporate and the manufacturer and to have a nice day, then hung up.

One of the Amazon shopping markets in South East Virginia, locates in Newport News. This whole food store is all about organic food. My family and friends find a lot of good stuff here.

Ok, my celiac homes, I am reminding everyone that we need to continue to always read ingredients every time. Whole Foods is great and I am always able to find options that other stores may not have. Was browsing the frozen gluten free section and found pie that looked wonderful. Started reading ingredients and crust is of course WHEAT! Thats why it looked so good. Immediately took it to Customer Service and it was corrected. Still a great shopping experience.

The staff here is really nice. Ive never had an encounter with one of them that wasnt at least pleasant. Theyve got a good stock of items and the bakery in particular always feels like a good place to stop. Definitely recommend them, especially of you live near by.

Loved the produce section, lots of good looking fresh choices. Perimeter shopping was nice but once you started down the isles, very limited choices.

I love this place! The Mac & cheese mixed with crab meat is amazing. Produce is always set up so perfectly and the fruits and vegetables are always fresh.

The two stars are for actions by the customers. Thew store posts signs not to eat from the salad or hot food bars...but yesterday I saw customers sneak those little dressing cups in the palm of their hand and after glancing around to see if anyone is looking put food in it then retreat to a corner to devour it....Then move on to the next food item they want to steal using the same cup. Remove those cups and only make them available from an attendant who will fill it with the dressing of choice (if customer has a salad). These customer actions are how illness is spread. The next time I see it I WILL embarrass the culprit by bringing them to the attention of the store and other customers.

I love the variety, options and cleanliness at this Whole Foods. I like the hot bar options, unfortunately recently the Baked Chicken and Mac n Cheese was really salty where it was not enjoyable. Besides that I love this store.

Best service for any grocery chain. Prices are a bit high, but the food is good quality. A bit pretentious, We dont sell Coke. Overall excellent selection of meats and produce.

Cream puffs and little pastries are back. The holidays are in full swing for baking, gourmet gifts and fresh food.Due to pandemic large hot bar is reduced but they will put together a meal for you from the deli case. Pizzia by the slice just not self serve. Seafood specials are excellent

I must said if you want to get pretty fresh fruits and amazing baking goods like macaroons OMG this place has legit macaroons and I try the passion fruit ones. They are 6 in each pack. Sadly theres not like a mixed packnits a pack of 6 and they have about 5 different flavors. Like red velvet. Cookies and cream . Passion fruit . And others I forgot now but will go back again and update this review later with videos and pictures for more details.. if you are in the virginia or west Virginia area this whole food stores has them .

I can shop here everyday if my budget would support it. Walking in the door just feels so healthy. Beautifully displayed fruits and vegetables makes them look so inviting. The associates are friendly and helpful. I would enjoy having one of these stores a little closer.

I love Whole Foods and was surprised to find one in Newport News. This one was setup a little odd in the hot foods section but I enjoyed the barista boat, mocha bar and macaron books.

Customer service rep(in store) was awesome. I love this store...from its appearance to its inventory!!🙂👍🏽👍🏽

They chicken sandwich that was grilled chicken with melted cheese was awesome it was with lettuce tomato and avocado it was so good the tater tot‘s perfect at this dish right here all that breading on the fish for me as a no no and tater tot‘s were fine and then I had strawberry lemonade kombucha which was not quite my thing because I’m not much into the Vinagre star but there’s a lot of things there that’s good but somethings that aren’t but this fish it just I like it with just know Friday in just a little

I was looking for Lactose free caffe creamer and wind up with a heavy milk instead. Its not thick enough for me also the veggie pepper Jack cheese too thick and dont like the taste. Neither the yellow cheese. Only the organic fruits was good. I spent $90.00 too much money. And Im not satisfied. I dont think that I will return

Fantastic variety in this large, clean, well-stocked supermarket. I especially like the hot and cold bars of prepared foods (with a hand sanitizing station set up, naturally) 😊

Kindly asked handsome gentleman working in seafood if he could scale my fish…and he told me it was already scaled…This does not seemed scaled…look at my sink…overall best store but my fish was not complete without its proper scaling…fish got soggy and mushy from me gripping fish too hard while trying to scale myself.

Nice selection and good meat choices. The prices for normal food is higher than average. So I would go here for meat or cheeses, but not for Kraft Dinner, Milk or oatmeal.

I really love Whole Foods. However, it’s so far from my home I’ve been getting it delivered. My first order arrived and my lemons were molded and potatoes already had spurs. I assumed this was a result of an inexperienced shopper and went to exchange the items. I was told the items had to be repurchased and I’d need to call Amazon. This was ok. I repurchased my lemons and potatoes and thought nothing of it. Today, I ordered again and my every apple in my bag is bruised. I’m beginning to think they are intentionally delivering their expiring foods to save on foods cost, since the items can’t be return to the store. I’d do so. Moral of the story don’t order delivery and I’ll be shopping at Trader Joe’s because I don’t like their ethics.

Although this natural foods etc. store is more expensive than most, it carries a wide selection of gourmet foods, wine, personal care and home cleaning supplies that cant be found anywhere else- definitely worth a visit, but watch out for your budget, as your checkout expenses will add up real fast!

Since I was living outside the mainland for the past 4 years one of the main things I missed was grocery stores with good selections of products (especially fresh produce) and I couldnt wait to get back. Whole Foods was the first place I visited to stock up and it was amazing. They are following all social distancing guidelines and enforcing the 100% mask wear policies and the staff was very courteous and friendly.

This might sound a little strange but, I bought something from Amazon and it wasnt quite like it was described. So Amazon told me to take it to Whole Foods to return it .When I got there, the lady at the customer service register took my information and that was it ! They did the rest ! To top it off, there was no charge !

A great marketplace for trying new foods. Perfect for organic meal recipes. And, the atmosphere is always upbeat.

It was okay. I wasnt able to get a key ingredient. I had driven quite a way so I could get Turmeric root, but you were out. Brice/Bryce in produce was wonderful and his customer service skills exceptional. I will call before coming next time to prevent a wasted trip.
