I visit at least every other day and the staff are wonderful. I feel very safe and enjoy shopping here. During this supply chain crisis they have done everything they can to help.

The produce is great, you cannot beat the prices and it is fresh. Great deals on everything else including wine. They have Oat and Almond milk and Almond creamer also Vegan ice cream. I was hoping for more vegan foods and also more authentic German items for example breads. They do have German candy which is authentic and delicious. That’s why only 4 stars but I really feel like the prices are so great and I’m always in there so I should give it 5!

This Aldi location is a larger one than most with the traditional Aldi layout.

Aldis is a great place to shop for organic fruits, vegetables and many other products at a much lower price than the larger grocery chains. There are lots of healthy foods to choose from and their wine/beer and cheese section is awesome! Theres weekly Aldis Finds and you can get great deals on all kinds of stuff! You do need to bring your own bags but if you forget there are inexpensive ones to buy at checkout. Also you need a quarter to get a cart but you get it back upon returning it.

Good prices, clean store, and some items I do not see in other stores, just wish you did not need quarter to unlock shopping cart.

Love this place! My wife and I do our best to do most if not all shopping here. The best prices and the best deals period. Healthy cheap options for you and your family. Perfect for all the kids snacks to make it from payday to payday with 2 small toddlers. I’ve also had the opportunity to expand my tastes of many different great snacks for myself instead of eating junk.

Aldi is one the best neighborhood store of all time with plenty of options at best deal. Especially, milk 🥛, bread, eggs, and fruits are at its best price. I mean literally, very best price. If you want to experience the best German chocolate 🍫 this is the best place. I can say to have a best dark chocolate 🍫 go for Aldi. We have plenty of KETO protein drinks and bars at best Price. The ice cream 🍨 is unbelievable for just less than 2 bucks and I can keep going on and on. Overall, the best family grocery store.

Clean store with amazing prices! A bit lacking on allergen-free options but for basics (milk, eggs, baking supplies, cheese, meat) that isnt a concern. The Choceur chocolates are delicious, imo superior to standard brand candy bars.If you need specific brands or specialty items, though, plan on hitting a second store after here in case they dont have what you need. This isnt Harris Teeter.

Staff is remarkably kind and helpful here. I appreciate them so much. After a busy day at work, even if the lines are a little long, cashiers are so poised & friendly. Thanks for being awesome!

Great prices but need fresh vegetables and fruits

Found everything that I want including avocados, cherries, bananas, and bell peppers. All produce are good quality and store well maintained.

Never again. It is not that it cost a quarter for a cart, but who carries change any more. They can go scr*w themselves. NEVER DARKEN DOOR AGAIN!

Spacious inside with great deals! The Aldi Finds are pretty interesting and can save you a penny! Im used to Aldis that you can only go one direction through, but this one is just laid out like a normal grocery store. You may not find everything youre looking for, but what they do have is good stuff.

Clean, organized aisles and well-lit. Fruits and vegetables are fresh and good quality. Not as big as some other Aldi’s I’ve been in, but product selection and imports are adequate.

This is my favorite grocery store. The employees are always happy and willing to help. I love the low prices, for a family of 8, it really helps by cutting down on the grocery money. I wish I had one closer to my house, but I dont mind the 15 minute drive, its worth it!

I never leave empty handed here. I find something I did not know I needed when I look down their Aldi Finds aisle. The prices here are reasonable and they offer a good variety of products, especially if you are a vegan, vegetarian or pescatarian. The only thing I do not like, is every time I visit there is only 1 line. No matter what time of day it is or what day of the week, there is always only 1 line open. I wish they had self checkout at times.

Very clean and organized. I visited all the aldis in the area. Impressed . Now the cashier wasnt very friendly and threw stuff in cart which I never seen that any other aldis. I did mention this to manager and she stated she would correct this.

ALDIS on 21st Street in Ghent Business District, Norfolk, VA is a gift to Norfolkians. High quality items for a lot less compared to nearby stores (Harris Teeter, The Fresh Market, and Food Lion). Friendly staff and fast checkout.

There are not enough staff here. There is plenty of free parking, the carts require a deposit of twenty five cents, and you must provide your own bags or purchase them. The store is clean, the staff is very helpful, nice, and apologetic. Sometimes stock is out.

Great prices and good selection. The quality of the food is great. Sometimes you will have a hard time with finding specific items on your list, but its worth it for the price, convenience, and quality.

Store always freezing.

Great place to buy your fruits and vegetables. Reasonably priced and stock does last longer. Only downside is that you may not get all brands of all the gourmet and pantry items, but thats the way ALDI functions 😜

I was going to ALDI when I was younger back in the day growing up in the midwest. I was very happy to see them come here to Va Beach. Still one of my favorite grocery stores to shop.

Good staff but there is always homeless people hanging outside store. I’m sympathetic to the homeless and I have given to them going into the store. Only then to leave and be harassed again. This has happened several times. I just pulled up to go into the store and they are there again. Will be taking business elsewhere.

I like shopping there, however yall need to expand your fish/meat department. Like you should have Whiting, hamburger, oxtails, the likes.

Lines are too long 1cashier

This ALDI charged me for 416 pcs of garlic while I had only 41 ($.99/each). I contacted ALDI - did not help. Filed a dispute with my Chase credit card.

Dont really care for the gluten free brand to be scattered throughout the store instead of its own end cap. Made it a harder to find food I needed

Besides being a great store, this is a great location, right in the heart of ghent. It is usually well stocked and clean, they could be a little faster getting a cashier during busier times but I like this store.

I loved this store. I went on the first day. Very affordable prices. I love the protein powder and bars that they have. I am gonna be a regular customer at ALDI. I am so glad there in Ghent.

Small, basic, and compact store with affordable groceries and home items. Most of the items are Aldis generic brand, but there are some brand names like Tide and Kraft Singles. It was very crowded on opening day, but I will come back another day for the rest of my shopping. The layout is convenient for shoppers on the go. Helpful advice: make sure to bring 25 cents to use a shopping cart, or else youll be carrying around your items all over the place.

Love Aldis - NOT IMPRESSED with at least 2 of your cashiers. Ive shopped at the store 4 times now and each time the check out experience was basically terrible. I understand how it all works, that isnt the problem. The attitude that comes from 2 ladies working there who get to sit down as well as not bag groceries is UNBELIEVABLE! Seems to me its the easiest cashier gig in town, so a good attitude would be appreciated. Please feel free to reach out to me as I have one of the cashiers names from today.I love your store, your food and your prices, but I will go back to my other store if the checkout experience doesnt improve. Fast and efficient shouldnt equal a bad attitude.

What can I say? We love how Aldi has expanded into Hampton Roads. Its our first stop everytime for good food at a great value. They may not have everything, but you should always stop by Aldi before you go to the next grocery store.

In general I really like the Aldi stores, good prices and interesting variety. The 21st Street location in Norfolk is definitely the exception. The mood in the store always seems stressed and unpleasant, I dont know if its management or what. Even though I live only a few blocks from 21st Street I will go out of my way to go down to the Janaf location and shop there. The mood in the Janaf store seems to be so much lighter and pleasant, the store even seems cleaner.

Aldi has low prices in a decent selection a Foods Its not a Walmart or a Superstore. Type shopping before what they offer good prices the only downside being a first-time Shopper of Aldi. Was not knowing that they do not bag your groceries or Supply bags that you need to purchase them there or bring some with you in order to bag your own groceries after theyve been rung up. While theyre selection does Lac some items that you Will need to complete your meal at home. For cooking purposes generally speaking good prices
