Had a great experience at La-Z-Boy in Paramus, NJ. I went to potentially buy a chair for my living room. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that no one was pressuring me into anything. I was approached by a sales rep who introduced herself and simply pointed us to the area of the store where we might find what we were looking for. She never shadowed us as is done in so many other furniture stores. Every 10 or 15 minutes she would check back with us but we were never uncomfortable. She knew her products well and eventually helped us find exactly what we were looking for. I would definitely shop here again.
John was friendly, informative and helpful. We had a great shopping experience.
Update: I ordered my recliner by computer and telephone because I am unable to visit the showroom. The transaction was seamless and I am well pleased. Especially if you plan to place an order in this way, I recommend that you carefully review the chairs on the Lazy Boy website and make a note of the ones that fit your needs and also look carefully at their dimensions (scroll down on the left side of the website and pay especially close attention to the height of the person using the chair). With a tape measure narrow down the ones that fit the space in your home. YouTube Is also great for providing further information where it’s likely you’ll find the same chair you selected. This last pointer ultimately caused me to pick a more suitable recliner. Otherwise, I would have made a costly mistake so don’t rush into placing an order!
I placed an order for a recliner by telephone. Using the comprehensive website, I first selected the recliner of my choice and measured it to make certain it will fit in the space where it will located. I then telephoned to place my order and spoke with a sales associate who was knowledgeable and facilitated the purchase. The transaction met with my complete satisfaction.
I was in the market to replace my 15 year old Laz-y-boy sectional that I loved.After looking at other couches, my kids reminded me how much I have loved the couch, so back to Laz-y-boy we went. Dealing with John was easy, and they had a great sale going on. Most of the couch was delivered last week, and the last section should be here next week. I am in love with my new couch.
The sales associate was very knowledgeable and patient. We had lots of questions and he answered them all and then some. Great job. Rating is a 4 star for one reason. A 6 month wait??? Embarrassing, lazyboy!!
Sofa and loveseat we bought are nice but the delivery was from hell. Delivery men refused to deliver because furniture had to go up 15 steps (information given at the time of purchase) and the store stated they could not help and they use a 3rd party for delivery. They could only file a compliant. Like many people I work and rescheduling is not an easy thing especially when I had donated old furniture the day before. In the end the delivery was dropped in the hallway because no one could give proper, if any, rescheduling info.

It started off good with Lazy Boy, but Boy are they LAZY! I ordered a table to go alright my chair but they said the table was damaged and they would call in 10 days (this is August 9th 2021) well long story short nobody followed through and my wife kept calling and they told us they were calling us. CRAZY!!! October 12th, finally got delivery. A long 10 days. Delivery guys were great. The office/administration is clueless. Went there because the stuff is American assembled. Will look for other American made furniture next spring. Not Lazy Boy.
My wife and I were in the market for a new couch and we went to La Z Boy after looking at a couch on line that we kind of liked. The sales rep showed us the sectional we had looked at online and we also asked to see other in-store sectionals.She showed us a couple of other ones, but we loved the second one she showed us. It was more than the one we looked at originally, but it was everything we were looking for.
Love this store! The FaceTime help with determining size and color of my couch with Aneta was so helpful. Smooth delivery and can’t beat the comfort! Mike the manager super helpful when I was looking for 2 moderately priced recliners for a small space. They are perfect!

Recently placed my order for Living Room furniture and have dealt with the Sales Associate, Manager and Designer. They are energetic, informative and honest. Extremely helpful in making the best furnishing and fabric decisions. Covid has a huge impact on delivery dates so My delivery is 5 months out. Will post my final 5 star review once delivery is complete in October 2021.
Actually our experience turned out very pleasant! Wasn’t sure when I walked in as the first male salesperson that witnessed my husband and I walk in never acknowledged us...We proceeded to walk towards some of the furniture displayed and shortly thereafter another male (Nathan) walked over greeted us and begin to show us around. He pointed out several couches after finding out what we looking for. He seemed knowledgeable and honest about the make of their furniture. He also suggested we have make use of the services of their designers to come to our home to ensure the couch we were interested in would fit.As it turned out we decided on a couch and left a deposit. We were disappointed to find out that the delivery will take 5 months, but we really like our selection.
We purchased a sofa at LaZBoy this past weekend and had a great experience. We went to every furniture store in the state and concluded that LaZBoy had the most comfortable selection, by far, and the made in USA craftsmanship didn’t hurt the selling point. We met John about a month ago when we first went to the store and didn’t feel pressured at all and really appreciated his knowledge on the products. After taking measurements at home, we returned this weekend to place an order and again, didn’t feel pressured at all. He was patient while we decided what we wanted, selected the fabric, etc. we are very pleased and hope that when we get our couch, we’ll be just as happy!
The sales manager listened well and showed me which recliner chairs were currently available to suit my stated needs - then gave my wife and I ample time to check and compare various chairs.
Had an amazing experience. I went in there knowing what I wanted and what I didnt. Nathan was amazing at the Paramus location. Funny and so knowledgeable. Made my purchase and decision a lot easier. LaZBoy is so much more than recliners. Frankly, I was not expecting to walk away with a purchase but the store was on my way to others so I stopped in. Peviously I have purchased living room furnishings by Hammary from a non-Lazyboy store. So I was familiar with their association. This was a Kincaid purchase. High quality furnishings along with a knowledgeable sales staff. They were very accommodating and eager to work with me to meet my needs. I would certainly give them consideration for future quality furniture purchases going forward.

John is outstanding with his knowledge of every piece of furniture in the Paramus store. We were greeted when we arrived and he proceeded to let us look around on our own, rather than trailing 5 feet behind which is so uncomfortable and is done at most furniture stores. He let us know he was available for questions and gave so many suggestions for what we needed. John is a great asset to this store and we are glad that he was there to help. I was most excited when I saw that lazy boy now offers a recliner couch that resembles a regular sofa. Just what we were looking for.

We ordered a leather recliner in March 2021. They told us delivery would be June. June became august and august became September. As of today nothing. This is the worst company to do business with

Nathan and Aneta were so very helpful in my quest to furnish my living room. Nathan helped me pick out the right couch for me. Aneta is a wonderful interim designer who helped me pull it all together. The fabric selection was impressive and the price just right. Can’t wait for the sofas and carpet to be delivered.
The recliner was a big disappointment. It makes enough noise to wake the dead when opening and closing chair. I was shocked to see that Lazy Boy even has videos explaining how to try to reduce the noise which it attributes to the use of higher quality ratcheting. I just received the chair but plan to give it away.
Had a wonderful experience last night at the route 4 store. Was buying a power lift recliner for older uncle. Very helpful salesperson. And the covid precautions!! They were so careful. Sanitizing everything - my pen, my credit card, the seats! I would highly recommend!!!
We are very happy with our purchase ! The associate at Lazy boy took her time with us and was very knowledgeable and made the purchase a pleasant experience . The delivery came earlier than expected so that was an extra bonus!
Most important to me is the furniture is assembled in the USA 🇺🇸, although I believe the material is imported but what can you do?? We went to the Paramus store on 2/13/2021 and had Nathan Klein as our sales rep. He was very nice, helpful and not at all pushy. He took his time with us even though the store was very busy. The store was laid out nicely and they had sufficient sales staff. I highly recommend Lazy Boy in Paramus.

We did not expect to fall in love with a LaZ Boy sofa. We entered LaZ boy out of curiosity. Their furniture has come a long way from frumpy to beautiful, modern, and comfortable selections.Barbara made our experience all the more better. She was cheerful, informed and gave us her undivided attention. There were so many ways to customize our sofa and accent chairs, it made our buying decision harder. Barbara was patient and made sure to we left, enamored with our purchase.We cannot wait to receive our sofa!!! I would go back to further furnish our home as well. Thanks Barbara!
I’ve had La-Z-Boy recliners throughout my life, and I returned to them once more. My parents bought my 1st rocker/recliner when I entered Medical School. I had that chair for over 30 yrs. That was my study chair - much of the medical knowledge I absorbed throughout my career was done in that very comfortable chair. Times changed and I replaced my chair with another recliner. Now, after being run over by a car, multiple knee replacements and Fx neck, I again chose a La-Z-Boy lift chair + 1.5 sleep chair, even more comfortable than the next. The selection of fabrics was amazing! I highly recommend La-Z-Boy for any furniture needed.

You can see the quality of these furniture compared to other stores you can tell is real sturdy, comfortable and good. And best of all American made. What a horrible experience! Foolishly I never read the reviews and decided to go forward and buy a special mattress because they were running a sale. I should’ve known better. I Purchased a mattress on Central Avenue and it was a horrible experience the manager could care less, and the sales staff were hungry for the sale and then drop the ball soon after. When I asked to change the delivery date the sales person called me at my house to argue with me that I shouldn’t have done that and that will reflect on his sales. When I talked to the manager about this unprofessional behavior he could care less and told me then to cancel the order if I felt like it which I did. Their customer service is nonexistent and they never pick up the phone. It took over two weeks to credit my account but only one day to charge it. Will never return again

Customer service and support is the worst I have ever experienced!I purchased a $2,000 all leather, electric, rocker recliner from this store (Paramus, NJ) in October of 2015, along with the 5-year Ultra Shield coverage. The first recliner they delivered had a cut in the leather and when fully reclined an electrical connector would be pulled apart and you couldn’t move the recliner back into the upright position. I returned that recliner. The second recliner they delivered also had a cut in the leather, so I returned that one as well. The 3rd recliner they delivered was the same one I returned the first time. It still had the cut in the leather, but they corrected the electrical problem. I returned that recliner for the second time due to the cut in the leather. The 4th recliner had no cuts in the leather and seemed to work fine, but I’m not sure where the chair came from. It had no tags to indicate that it was new, but no issues, so I accepted that recliner. Throughout the delivery ordeal the store management was uncooperative and needed to be contacted constantly to remind them that I was awaiting each replacement recliner. It took over a month to get an undamaged recliner delivered to my home.At 20-months old the recliner had 2 problems. The seat portion of the chair had twisted out of position and no longer lines up with the back cushion of the recliner, I believe this to be a manufacturing defect (see photo). There is also a spring that makes noise when the recliner is rocked. I called Lay-Z-Boy to schedule a warranty inspection & repair, which took place on 5/17/2017. But after waiting 2-weeks for the results of their inspection, I hadn’t heard back from them.I called them for status of my service request on 5/31/2017 and explained how unhappy I was with their customer service and the quality of this product. Lay-Z-Boy had agreed to fix the spring issue, because the frame portion of the recliner carries a lifetime warranty on parts. There is a fee for the labor, but they agreed to waive the fee because at this point they’ve realized how bad my experience has been with this purchase. However, they also informed me that the twisted cushion was only covered by a 1-year warranty, which had expired, and the extra money I spent on the 5-year Ultra Shield coverage didn’t cover this type of damage. So, I either must pay for that repair, or live with it.If I had purchased a much cheaper recliner at Bob’s Discount Furniture, along with their extended coverage, they likely would have replaced the recliner with no questions asked.BEWARE of this store, just because you’re paying a higher price, and buying from a company known for their recliners, don’t assume that you’re getting better quality or that you’ll receive better customer service. The opposite may actually be true. And by all means, DO NOT purchase the Ultra Shield coverage, it covers very little and is absolutely not worth the extra money.
Incompetence is on full display here. I ordered a sofa on July 10. I called the Paramus store in early to mid September to determine when to expect delivery. I was told to expect it in October. I called again at the end of September to determine when to expect delivery. I was then told that my order had never been realized by the assembly segment of your company. I was then told that it could be rushed to me by December (this month) if I sojourned to Paramus to select a different fabric. I declined. None of the issues I have experienced have anything to do with the pandemic. They are evidence of mismanagement and blissful incompetence.
I first purchased chairs at La-Z-Boy Paramus in 1982, when I lived in Mahwah. I have made several purchases with this store over the years. I live in Queens, NY now and purchased from La-Z-Boy Paramus in 2020. Why? La-Z-Boy in Rockville Centre did not return phone calls and emails for assistance. This was not a COVID related thing, as I experienced the same treatment from the RC store a few years back. RCs selection of floor models is not that great. I also dont drive as I have some disabilities. The thing is ... my wife and I wanted La-Z-Boy chairs. Time to call Paramus.My wife first emailed and then called the store in Paramus. Annetta, the stores designer, drove out to our apartment some 30 miles away. Annetta is wonderful. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and respectful. She listened to us about what fabric colors we were interested in, came armed with the appropriate fabric sample books, and worked with us in the fabric selection.With everything going on in the world today, it was no small wonder that La-Z-Boys timelines relative to manufacturing the chairs were affected. We waited 6 1/2 months for the chairs. Communication about the delays was not the best. There were phone calls made out of frustration as to where the chairs were. Got to speak to a manger or two. To their credit, the staff were always professional and not argumentative. I was told that La-Z-Boy is upgrading its factory to retail store computer systems, so better status information is available. Time will tell.So, how about those chairs? We love them. Just what we ordered. Quality built. Outstanding fabrics. It was not a small or inexpensive order. 3 high leg, power reclining chairs in custom fabrics with upgraded cushions do cost (Carleton and Chandler styles). Then again, we couldnt take a vacation last year, so we got new chairs. Good trade.All in all, not a seamless, perfect transaction. But ... it came together nicely at the end. A final word about the furniture delivery folks @ Retail Delivery Service. Very respectful ... real gentlemen and nice guys.
Everything else was OK, except for our experience with the saleswoman [Barbara}. She made us feel unwelcome. We almost left the store a couple of times because of her attitude. If we ever goback to the store well leave if she offers her help. Please dont call us anymore.
When our custom sectional was delivered, one recliner armless made noise and not close completely. The delivery guy who was kind what I called “ the Fonzi “ He banged on it a few times while I was on the phone with the salesman. We didn’t get paperwork from delivery and the salesman said” we can send a customer serviceman out” before the delivery guy banged it. No Follow Up call.My husband isn’t happy and my mother passed in December 2020 so it’s been hard to call. Did a review on the internet explaining problem of defect, No call!!We had no problem with the delay due to COVID production, a company can’t control a Pandemic.It’s beautiful but horrible customer service,Paramus, NJ
Aneta was quite helpful to me and I appreciated some advice that she offered me. I felt free to try as many recliners that I wanted and didnt feel any pressure nor was I rushed along.Thanks again, Aneta!La-Z-Boy has a great reputation and the reason I drove 40 miles from my home was due to the word of mouth advice from a friend who lives in Delaware!The only negative thing is the amount of time I have to wait for delivery but this is due to the current pandemic and not La-Z-Boy.

One of the salespersons at this location, Aneta, was wonderfully helpful from the moment I walked in. I knew which items I wanted but the la-z-boy website had given me problems so I went to the store in person. Aneta helped me quickly and professionally. Without her, my experience with the company would have been infinitely less happy: a website that didn’t work, pending charges in my bank account, and no confirmation number for an attempted purchase.

The chairs looked comfortable, the price was definitely on the higher end but the sales associate was horrible. She kept following me around the store, losing her patience whenever I asked a question and rolling her eyes. Her name was Barbara. Avoid this place if you could. The sad part is that I liked one of the recliners but I can’t fathom buying anything at a store with this dismal customer service
DO NOT BUY A Lazyboy product.We purchased a leather couch and love seat (over $2,700.00) and the quality is HORRIBLE. The so-called leather, peels off and looks like it was sprayed on (so thin). LOOK AT MY PHOTOS, just after 3 ½ years. Just through light normal use of only 3 adults, with no kids, no dogs, no cats or any pets at all and the leather is cracking and peeling off. LOOKS TERRIBLE!!!! All we wanted was for it to be repaired. Their customer service did not want any responsibility after 1 year. What they wanted was to give a small fraction of money to buy another Lazyboy faulty product. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. TERRIBLE QUALITY!!!!Again, DO NOT BUY these Lazyboy products!!!!

I read a review that the buyer stated the couch was purchased without seeing it in the store. This review solidified my decision. Not happy with delivery when first ordered the couch was told couch would be delivered by Halloween the latest. Every time I call to check on status of couch it gets pushed back a week. Now I’m being told maybe the middle of November.

We ordered a chair in January. Were still waiting for it to arrive and it is now almost May. There have apparently been a few production issues but absolutely no one from the store ever bothered to let us know even though they were fully aware of said issues. We had to call them ourselves for updates. As far as we can tell, chair was already paid in full so who would care on their end? Now imagine if it wasnt already paid for, Im sure theyd be hounding our phone every day until they got their money!When called out on this, the manager offered to take a measly hundred bucks off to make up for months worth of delay. Delivery was finally updated to a specific date in April and it STILL didnt arrive. And of course, radio silence from the management about this as they are conveniently out of the office/store/whatever when called. Literally the worst customer service and appalling behavior from the management. I feel bad for the sales reps at this store who were actually nice and tried their best to be as helpful as possible, but management seriously needs to get their act together. We are granting them one last reprieve to make things right but at this point, its looking relatively bleak and our patience grows seriously thin.
