I had the pleasure of technician Briggs at our house yesterday to fix the washing machine. Briggs was great from the initial phone call until he drove away. He was professional, polite, easy to talk with like we had known each other for many years, very knowledgeable about our machine and problem, worked safely and fast to replace the part. I highly recommend A1 Appliance and Briggs for home repair and parts.

These guys went above and beyond trying to help me fix and find parts for a 30+ year old oven! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING OR GET ANYTHING SERVICED FROM THESE RUDE UNHELPFUL PEOPLE. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. I purchased a Speed Queen washer and dyer, and less than a year has gone by and we have had trouble out of both, so on a Monday I called and made and appointment, and they said 4 days later that they could come on Thursday. They called and texted and to confirm Wednesday afternoon. They the day of the appointment I get calls from them and did not answer immediately cause I was moving machines so they could get to it to service them. Well after I did not answer the call, then called them back immediately, to which they had then cancelled the appointment. I spoke with 3 different people who were rude and not helpful, then got to a manager, who then told me to find someone else to service it. After spending this much on a washer and dryer I would have expected top notch service, but only got poor quality people, who were less than willing to help.

I ordered a dryer screen on the 16th and was there the next morning of the 17th. They will even text you when your part comes in.

The lady there that helped me was fast and friendly. she asked if I had the #s off the stove I was buying an oven element for? I said no but I know what it looks like. she brought one out and Ill be damn it was right. reasonable price. Ill go there again if its anything I need for any kind of appliance.

I am re-reviewing A1 Appliances in Pearl, Ms. I referred someone here for washer/dryer and a refrigerator. Of course with restrictions due to Covid-19, they opted to pick the appliances up but it has been more than enough calls made about the poor quality of the appliances they purchased and of course, they are just starting out so they took dryer and refrigerator back for them to try and repair them! They have been difficult to get on telephone so not sure about the repairs they promised under the warranty. It has been a nightmare! I will keep you posted. Today is Sept.10, 2021, as I promised, I would re-review. The repairs were completed and no additional issues. They were contacted later about full replacements but they were satisfied with the repairs. Thank you.

Had a most pleasant experience with A1. We bought a Speed Queen Commercial Washer. Joy, in sales and Mack in delivery were friendly and professional. No pressure to buy but they provided good information for us to make a decision. Mack delivered and set up the machine exactly when promised, There showroom isnt much but it is made up for by a friendly and helpful staff.

Jimmy came out to make the repairs. He was polite and very Professional. Repeat customer. Bought a Speed Queen washer in 2013 and just bought a Speed Queen dryer today after our old Maytag bit the dust. No problems with equipment. Staff has been friendly both times and gets me in and out and on my way. Much better than big box stores. Support your small businesses. If you want an American made appliance that will last, Speed Queen is the one and A1 is the place to get it.

I was in and out in about 20 minutes with a new dryer set for delivery the next day. They sell quality appliances and service what they sell. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable...no waiting ...I am in the store less than 1 minute before being greeted and helped. Not my last purchase from them.

When my daughter broke the latch on my washing machine, I called A1 appliance to see if they had the part. I spoke with Lindsey. She was unbelievably kind and courteous. Unfortunately they did not have in stock but she took the time to call around to see if anyone had it in stock. When no one did, she ordered the part for us. The extra steps taken and the unbelievable customer service from Lindsey was amazing. It was honestly one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. I can not say enough great things about her!

I cant say enough about A-1 Appliance in Pearl. We showed up there at 2 p.m. yesterday only for Google Maps to announce as we pulled in that they may be closed before we arrive. Since wed driven over, I decided Id at least try the door before leaving. To our surprise it was open. So we stepped inside the dark, obviously closed store. A gentleman emerged from the back, and I asked if they were closed. He explained that not only were they closed but it was his day off and he had just stopped by to retrieve an item hed left in his office. Then he added (thankfully) that hed help us anyway. We heard angels singing and harps playing as he typed our model number into the computer and sold us the heating element we needed. He then went on to explain to us how to install it. We thanked him profusely and were about to leave. As an afterthought he recommended we grease the bearing and added how we could tell if it too needed replacing. He explained they often squeak before they go out, which is what causes the heating element to burn out. We looked at each other because we knew that poor dryer had been squeaking for months. So we stepped back to the counter and asked if we could go ahead and buy that part too. This very nice man, on his day off, an hour after the store closed, hustled right back into the stockroom to retrieve yet another part for us. You really just dont find customer service like that anymore. If you need anything at all as far as an appliance or an appliance part, Id recommend vising A-1 Appliance on Pearson Road in Pearl.Now if youll excuse me, I have 3 weeks worth of laundry to do.

I am extremely disappointed in this company. To start, the technician walked in with a bad attitude. He was not friendly at all. Secondly, he answered the phone while in the house, and stayed on it for about 5 minutes with another customer! Thirdly, he says a part inside the microwave has to be repaired and repainted. Repainted??? Here’s what tops of my experience: the microwave is returned and replaced back into the wall with the door now offset AND there is a piece of material that looks like aluminum foil cardboard!!! What happened to the metal piece that was in the microwave??? I’m extremely disappointed!!! This company was sent out to us as a part of our Sear’s home warranty.

I recently had a problem with the ice maker in my refrigerator and carried it to A1 to buy a replacement. The gentleman working there was very helpful and suggested that I may not need to buy a new ice maker. He helped me examine my old one and we found that it only had a stuck component in the ice tray. I brought it back home and reinstalled it and it is working just fine. He saved me a lot of money through his assistance and that is certainly the type of company that I want to continue doing business with.

A-1 repaired our double oven. Thought we were going to have to buy a new one around $2500. Then thought we just had to replace control panel. But great news they were able to repair the panel. Saved us a bundle of money. Thank you to Joel, our repairman. Fast and competent service.

Bought a used dryer from A-1. It stopped working after a couple of months. After some communication problems....A-1 made it right and actually replaced the dryer! I was impressed with their customer service. Highly recommend. Joy is wonderful to work with! Will certainly do business with them again. Thank you.

I just spoke with Lindsey who gave me wonderful information about the new speed queen washers. I live in CA and she was able to confirm for me that the new speed queen (which they carry) is the better, redesigned model that has superior cleaning and is now the go to model over the TR5000. I am purchasing the TC5. Even tho I cannot purchase it from A1, Lindsey helped me make my decision. Thanks a million Lindsey!!

Service Repair Review: We have Electrolux built-in refrigerator. We had two other repair companies assess a ice maker problem and could not fix it. That problem has been going on for months. The refrigerator side quit cooling last week and I called in another company and they could not trouble shoot the freon leak plus they did not want to pull out a built in unit. I called A1 and they heard my issues over the phone...and ordered the parts that they thought would needed to repair the issues before they came over. They sent two techs, pulled out the fridge, replaced the evaporator and heat exchange for the fridge and replaced the valve on ice maker...both now work like new. Mr. Jimmy J. was the main service tech and did great job. They cleaned under and behind the fridge and cleaned up after the job. Service, professionalism and quality was excellent.

It was late in the day and I needed to repair my wife’s oven or endure her wrath for another day. I made it to A1 in record time. I took with me an after market igniter that I had convinced myself would not work. Perry, the parts guru, had an exact match for a gold plated price. Imagine my surprise when he examined the part I had and advised me it would work, even though it might not last as long. He could have sold me an expensive part but chose customer service over profit. Yeah, I will be going back.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT use A-1 Appliance to repair anything at your home. I had them come replace the timer in my washer machine in January 2016. The part was $45. The overall cost to have it repaired?? $290!!!! That included an $80 service call labor and delivery for the part. Thats not the worst part. 5 months later (present day), my washer machine craps AGAIN for the exact same reason. I called in to a less than polite lady (again) who tells me that the part may be covered but it will cost another $80 for the service call PLUS LABOR again!! Im sorry but if you screw something up so bad the first time that it isnt fixed and I paid you almost $300 to replace a $45 part, it should not be my responsibility to pay AGAIN to fix your stupidity. And if you are going to try to rake me over the coals, at least be polite about it!! There has to be a better option out there people!!

Just purchased a used washer, seems to be working good thus far. Great customer service though for sure. 5 days later the washer started leaking. Took washer back for a swap out. I hope this one last longer... like years!

Secondly, the technician did not informed me how much it would cost to repair the microwave before he repaired it. Finally, I tried calling the office several times and every time was hung up on. After 2 disastrous washer purchases, I wanted to look into a Speed Queen following a recommendation from a friend. Being as A1 Appliance is the only dealer in the area, they were the ones I called. From my first phone call, all the way through purchase and delivery, I have never been more impressed with a group of folks. From the owner to the staff, they are very knowledgeable, personable, helpful, and can answer any question you may have. This courtesy follows through to the delivery gentlemen, who were so careful handling my new appliance, walked me through every operation feature, and cleaned and shined her up as their last task. They were so nice. People are very quick to complain, but when you find such an exceptional appliance, from an exceptional dealer, with equally exceptional staff, one must take the time to let them know. Thank you, A1. I hope to have a long relationship with you, and I WILL be back for the dryer.

My washer broke 3 days before college move in day for my son. I found A-1 online, and I’m so thankful I chose them. They made a house call and diagnosed the problem the same day. I don’t typically give reviews, but I can personally recommend A-1 for your appliance repair needs.

Dont use this company unless you want to stay home all day waiting for service. On May 6, I was told the technician would be at my house on May 8 between 2:00 and 4:00 to repair my refrigerator. At 12:00 he called and said he had a cancellation and be right out. He also said he could come then but not after 2:00. I then called the office and they stated thats the way it is. They schedule service on their time, not the customers time. When I tried to set another appointment I was told again that they could guarantee a time frameOnly company Ive dealt with that puts their schedule above the customers.

Over the years we have used them to work on our microwave, dishwasher, dryer and stove. They have been totally honest and fair. Ive read some of the other non-flattering reviews and those experiences are not even close to our experience. I would and have recommended their work.

I dont give bad reviews but this place deserves it. I went here based on a reference from a friend and bought a washer and dryer set. Ive only had the set 1 year when my washer stopped working so I contacted them to get some troubleshooting help. Immediately the lady on the phone became offended at my question and repeatedly told me it was my fault the washer stopped working. She continued her nasty attitude until I eventually hung up the phone. Save yourself the time and money because whatever you buy here youll soon have to replace and they are nice in store as long as your buying from them.

These guys came out to fix my ice maker. It took them a week to come out to repair it and the guy showed up at 6:00 pm on a Friday night after I had to call 4 times to check to see if they were even coming. The guy stayed on the phone the whole time he was here with someone telling him what to do. He ended up flooding my brand new kitchen and the owner has been less than helpful in getting the damage repaired/taken care of. And my ice maker is still broken. Do NOT use A1.

Update: contacted the owner who responded below - never heard back. So, I contacted a competitor, Ricky Hood, who was able to fully assist me over the phone.The reason this is a 1 star review is because giving 0 stars was not an option. I have had very few customer service experiences worse than my experience with A1 Appliance, and I would caution anyone before using them.My washer broke. I am not a handyman, and certainly dont have the resources and capabilities to fix a washer. However, via Google search, I figured out what was going on with my Whirlpool washer, so I called Whirlpool in hopes they would have a technician handy to fix the issue. Of course, this occurred on a weekend so no one was available. In fact, it turns out that Whirlpool outsources their repairs to A1 Appliances in the Jackson area. Whirlpool instructed me to call A1 and schedule an appointment for them to come and fix said appliance. Once again, it was a weekend, so I had to leave a voicemail.48 hours later, I received a phone call from an A1 representative stating that a technician was en route to my house to fix the appliance. 1) I had never scheduled this appointment or given them any of my information. 2) I was at work at this point, so I informed her that no one would be there because I was at work and could not leave, and my wife was out of town. She basically told me (in not so many words), sucks for you and told me shed call back later to schedule a time to come out and fix the washer. After I leave work ~630pm, still no phone call so I called back and left a voicemail requesting a time to schedule. To my surprise, I received a phone call ~8pm that evening from an A1 representative, who was actually very nice, to schedule the visit. I told her that tomorrow I would be able to leave work early, with 2pm being the absolute earliest, but this would be the only time this week Id be able to do so. She told me that theyd schedule me in for NO EARLIER than 2pm.The following day, I get a call at 1130am from a technician stating that he was in my area ready to come and fix the appliance. I informed him that I was at work and was unable to leave, so hed have to come back between 2-4pm, like I requested. He told me this was not an option and that this was the only time he could come. He then gave me his supervisors # to call to sort things out. I called the supervisor, who very rudely informed me that their policy was that every appointment is approximately scheduled, and that the customer was really at the whim of the technician. She told me that if I couldnt make it out there at that moment, then I would have to reschedule. We rescheduled for Friday morning. This morning, the technician came by the house and I took him to where the washer/dryer was. He immediately looks at me and says, I cant fix that! When I asked why, he told me its because I had a stackable unit. He then essentially berated me for not informing A1 that my washer/dryer was stacked. I told him that no one asked about my appliance and he told me that it was my responsibility to give that information. He then told me Id have to reschedule but it would be at least another week before someone could come out. In the meantime, he asked that I unstack my washer and dryer before someone else comes back out. Then he left.I will absolutely never seek work from A1 appliance ever again.

They dont inform you that the fee is for service call ONLY and that you have to pay ADDITIONAL to have item repaired. $89.00 service call for one appliance & additional $280 to repair it! REALLY??? Over priced! You can purchase a new appliance for the cost of their services. Never again..... lesson learned!
