I took my 2007 Subaru Forester here to have my headlights replaced. I thought I would replace the lights on my own, but on Forester you have to remove the whole front bumper just to replace the headlights.Charlie and his team did a great job! The headlights look and work great. Charlie was easy going and nice to talk to. I also have my Mom go to this shop when she needs work on her car to. Highly recommend.

Cannot recommend this shop enough. I called with a problem I was 100% lost on fixing. Had a few friends take a look but we were stumped. Called Charlie Barnes and he was very polite, and offered I head that way when I got off work. Within 20 minutes of meeting the guy, he was on the phone with his parts person and had the part arriving the next day. I went back after work the next day and he had the part, expected me, and chatted with me about the issue to make sure I understood. The bill was more than reasonable, and the service was outstanding. I wont take my car anywhere else with future issues.

Charlie Barnes automotive was so amazing to me and my fiance and my furbabby duchess he gave us all drinks kept us in cool air while he worked on our car on a Friday without notice got us back on the road so we can enjoy our anniversary trip to Florida. we were visiting here from Memphis they were just so awesome we cant thank them enough love you guys ❤️❤️❤️💯

I was told by another shop that I had been going to for years that I needed an anti-freeze flush, I thought the price was high. After some research, I found Charlie Barnes Automotive and thought with a name like Charlie (which was my dads name) that I would give them a try. I was told that my anti-freeze was fine. He could have done the job and taken my money, but he didnt. That to me says a lot about a person.

I took my car in because it was having some issues with stalling and battery lights. I told Charlie about the problem on the phone, brought my car in that morning and they had it fixed before closing time. Very reasonable pricing, car is running great. Really nice, down home people. Will definitely go back next time my car needs some work!

After my experience with Charlie Barnes automotive, I will not be taking my car anywhere else. I have had a fair share of car issues come up recently, and could not speak more highly of the service provided to me every time I step in the door. I am NOT a car person, but Charlie has been nice enough to explain everything in depth every single time I’ve had an issue, and been able to answer all my questions thoroughly. It is very challenging to find friendly, honest and fairly priced mechanics, and thankfully that is exactly what I’ve come to find here.

I used to use Marks Automotive when they were in Pensacola (very good people), but they moved to Milton. So, when I do not have time to drive over there and need my car fixed I started going to Charles Barnes Automotive and AC.A few months ago, my engine in my car went out. Charles Barnes Automotive and AC found a good engine, did the replacement, and fixed all of my serious oil leaks. A few days ago, my check engine light came on with a PO11 code. Many of the fixes for this code can be very expensive, but Charlie told me it just needs an oil change. A similar thing happened when my truck appeared to have fuel pump issues. Instead of saying the fuel pump needed to be replaced, they said the fuel filter came lose and they replaced the filter (they also noticed that the A/C wasnt working and they cleaned out my A/C (which was full of leaves) and recharged the Freon for no charge--I didnt even ask them to do that). Very honest people and reasonably price to boot!

Charlie took the time and care that is rarely seen in the automotive repair industry today. Made a phone call, he answered my questions and said bring it by for him to look at it. Brought my car in, he stopped what he was doing, assesed and asked when I would like to bring it in. He said he would have it done same day and he did. Fixed my a/c and charged a very reasonable price, much lower then I expected. Didnt try to make it seem worse then it was and was polite and honest. Great work. Highly recommended.

Knew what was wrong with my car before even looking at. Since he doesn’t work too much with tires Mr. Barnes offered to take my car down to the shop he recommended for my convenience and did not charge me a thing to look at or take to the tire shop!

Poor service. I called at 12 noon yesterday with questions about repairing a vehicle. The owner gets on the phone, asks a couple of questions and tells me he will call me back. I sit and wait for the call that NEVER came. At first I was understanding. I know things happen. So I call him back 5 hrs later to find out why he never called and to get information about if he could fix my vehicle. The owner was no longer there. An employee takes my message and tells me he will have the owner call me in a few minutes. Again, I wait and the call NEVER came. I called back and spoke with the same employee and he had spoken to the owner, but the owner never called me. The employee proceeds to tell me for a 3rd time he would have the owner call me. I told him no thank you. I was disappointed in this poor service. This was a horrible first impression. He had 3 times to get the service right and he didnt. If this is the way our business relationship starts, I can only imagine what would happen when the repairs get underway. If hes not keeping his word now, why should I expect he will when he estimates the cost of repairs, gives me completion times or anything else he says.

Be aware of these people I purchased a vehicle off a lady that this company supposedly worked on did not fix it it was a throttle body position sensor charger $68 and never fixed I bought the car ran a code came up throttle body position sensor was only $37 not 68 people like this makes mechanics look bad that’s why I would work on my own

Brought my Toyota Echo in to have the AC recharged, after changing my compressor. Charlie and the guys at the shop were super professional and friendly. It turned out the part I had installed was faulty and even though it was not a part the shop had bought, they fixed it at no extra charge. I am deeply grateful for them not only saving me money by having the lowest price I could find but going above and beyond what they needed to do to help me out.

After they looked over the truck and provided feedback on what they saw, they gave me total peace of mind about purchasing the vehicle. They identified common maintenance items that I would probably have to replace in the next 6 months (e.g. brakes/tires, etc), what to expect long term on a 2008 vehicle, and didnt charge me a dime to check it out. Their honesty and transparency will definitely have me coming back.
