Dropped my computer off for assistance in getting it built. When it was found out that the CPU was shorted out I was told I would have to buy a new cpu and new motherboard even though I had just bought a brand new mother board from them not even 2 days earlier. I was told I wouldn’t be charged for services and then was charged anyways. On top of all that another couple needing assistance while I was there was given the excuse “well we aren’t Best Buy.” That was the most helpful this place was, letting me know to go to Best Buy next time.
Purchased components to build a new computer and had a problem. Brought it back and resolved the issue with had to do with heat transfer pate on the cpu. Knowledgeable staff, very helpful.

This place has a bit of everything for past and present rigs. They have a very good selection of peripherals, ie., cables, main boards etc to keep your rigs running smoothly. I mentioned past because after talking with them they agreed to look into more supplies for Retro-gaming. They agreed that there really is no place to find retro utilities. The store usually is good and I am able to find parts that I can not get at the big chains (Bestbuy, Office Depot). I am usually satisfied with their service and happy with their prices. I have never had to return an item that I bought there but today I purchased a EVGA Supernova 550GM power supply. I got home and opened up my rig to install the power supply. As I was unboxing the PSU I noticed that cables were missing (MB 24 pin & CPU Cable) most important cables. I called the store to see if they had another in stock so I could come in and exchange the PSU. After a little wait for the employee to ask the manger I was told that they will not be able to take the product back for a return or exchange because all the items are not there. I understand if I were to lose or damage the parts but this was not under my control and would have not known unless I opened the box at the store. Now I am stuck waiting for EVGA to be available on Monday to try and see if I can get cables for this PSU and if they are not willing I have just wasted over $100 for a faulty product sold to me.UPDATE: I was in contact with one of the managers and we talked about the issue with the return. The manager was happily to offer a full refund (there were no others in stock so an exchange was not an option). If they did have one in stock I would have done an exchange. The manager went out of his way to make everything right with this purchase and I defiantly recommend this local business. There was a bit of a misunderstanding with the options that were allowed within their policy with the customer service representative I originally spoke to when I received the original information.

I just popped in to ask a question, but I have done a lot of business here before I retired (and before Covid.) So this review is in reality based more on my experiences a few years ago than last week.I found the staff to be helpful and knowledgeable, and the store well stocked. I will add that they seemed to have no way of rotating out unsold product so last years video cards etc. would tend to sit on the shelf for a long time. (Depending on what you need, this could be a good thing.) They do have a service department, but I have never really used them. The service techs do seem to stay busy though.
Poor communication - I took my laptop in for repair on 2/10 and on 2/16 they called to tell me they werent able to fix it but that they could get the data off my laptop. I told them to go ahead and do that and that I would purchase a drive from them for the backup. The tech told me that shed call when it was done. They never called back. So on 3/3 I called them. The tech said there had been a miscommunication and that she would go ahead and pull the data and call me when she was done. Once again, she never called back. I finally went in today (3/20) to pick it up. The work had actually been completed on 3/8 but once again, no one bothered to call. Yes, the work eventually got done but the process was very frustrating. Save yourself a hassle and go somewhere else.
Tech Advanced is the place to go if you are looking for parts for older computers or DIY builds. The prices are a little higher, but the staff is very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Its worth the drive to Pensacola.
I brought my mac book air to TAC to have an operating system reloaded after apple helped me online but couldnt complete the issue. They were fairly busy and hoped to complete the work in about 3 or more days. But less than 24 hours after drop off I was called to pick it up as the work was completed. It is now working great and I am thankful for th quick turn around and professional manner in which they operate. Thanks TAC.
I went in looking for an adapter to hook up additional fans. I walked out with what I believe is needed to complete my task. While there, it seems there was some product confusion and was told I needed to buy something that was over $100.00 vs a $3.99 adapter. I am giving a 4 because i was given great service from the other employee who came out of the office and helped. Will definitely come back if I need any further assistance.
Almost a 30% markup on most parts and packaging is yellowed and cracking its been on the shelf so long. Non-attentive and lacking basic computer knowledge.

Great selection of products with excellent staff too.They helped me overhaul my computer since it was beginning to age.New AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, new DDR4 RAM, new M.2 NVMe SSD, and a new Gigabyte Motherboard. Even put the CPU on the motherboard for me to make sure everything fits properly.Yes the prices here are higher than what you would find online but an online retailer cant help you the way these folks can. Need to upgrade my GPU soon and Im coming to this place to get it.

Went in to have a minor problem on my computer fixed as it hadn’t turned on in a week. Surprisingly it turned on as soon as the tech tried 😂 However, he still checked through everything to help me, explained what he was doing, gave me troubleshooting tips that I could try in the future if it did it again. Very helpful and friendly...also, all on his day off! Super impressed and will be back 👍🏻

Great place to get your Macs or any other PC serviced. They have great staff that is willing to help and give me additional knowledge. Had a stuck key on my MacBook Pro and they got it out pretty fast and it works just as new. Didn’t cost me anything. Best technology store in Pensacola!
Use Tech Advanced at your own risk! Not only was the service terrible and the repair person extremely rude and unhelpful, I now see that although I paid them to replace hard drive (which the repair person said couldnt be saved) and windows, now I can no longer access my 5g wifi network which I could do before I took my computer in. You are better off going to Technologies for Tomorrow where they treat their customers with respect and do excellent repair work.
I have been to Tech Advanced SEVERAL times. My last visit was over the virus protection that I was using. They made a better suggestion, uploaded it, and explained how to maintain it. Robert restored the files I thought I had lost and Best Buy gave me the run around for a week. This took Robert 1.5 hours. Great selection of parts. Probably have anything I would ever need to build or upgrade a computer. I was pretty happy to find this place. The only issue I have are the prices, parts are pretty expensive compared to the same parts online. I bought a CPU cooler here for $39.99 +tax when i could have ordered that same cooler on Amazon for $22. I would be at this place often if the prices were more on par with everyone else. Besides the prices, this place could easily be one of my favorite places in Pensacola... I work in IT and build/maintain my own computers.

Purchased a product with a manufacturer defect. It happens, certainly not the retailers fault. Came in to exchange it. After a quick evaluation, they got me hooked up with a new one. Very courteous and professional staff.
The staff were nice and professional. I brought my MacBook in to get Mac OS reinstalled. I was originally told that it would take a few days to do it, but I ended up receiving a call about an hour later informing me that it was done. They are also the only authorized Apple repair location that has high recognition from Apple. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing repair of Apple hardware.

I would Never go here again. Total rip off. They will quote you one price to recover data off your hard drive and when you try and pick it up the prices doubled. Their computer repair service team is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and expeditious. Whether it’s our HP or my MacBooks. The first time I went to tech advanced it was because Best Buy quoted me a 6 week turn around time, since they had to send it in/away, and within 3 days after giving it to Tech Advanced I had it back in perfect working condition. The second time we went to Tech Advanced I had all 3 laptops worked on & I had them back, again within 4 days. We won’t ever go back to Best Buy’s tech service. I can’t recommend them enough.

This place is organized and clean. They need more aisle sign so you can go right to where you need. The displays are bland and the store is not very inviting. I believe with a marketing consultant they could get more business and provide better service to the community.

I was burglarized, for my insurance MacBook Pro replacement requirement I needed any type of signed verification that there was damage to the case from a drop and that there are warnings stating Problem because it was used inappropriately, to include having specialized hacking software installed. The tech at the counter, Sean, promised he would be able to provide a basic letter to me for insurance replacement purposes so that I could quickly have a non-defective MacBook Pro from my insurance...he LIED. Instead over a 3-4 day period they passed it to another tech Robert that had no idea why I even turned the computer in while Sean went on vacation. They ran basic diagnostics that did not unveil the main issue, detect the tracking software, or speed my machine back to original use. My files were all completely still scattered and abused, not being returned to any original presetting from Time Machine. My laptop was not even cleaned! They opened it up degrading the original static environment. Now for tertiary work purposes (high-risk work) and personal, I have to use a degraded and tracked machine that continually freezes and restarts without saving any documents. On top of that they charged me $60.00 even after my complaint. Thanks for nothing and the $1,400.00 out of pocket I have to save up to fix your mistake.
The staff was friendly and understood my concerns. They fixed my laptop quickly. My laptop was still under warranty with Apple, and Tech Advanced covered and fixed my problem.
Great experience with this place. Needed to flash the BIOS on my motherboard to make it compatible with my new cpu, but I didnt have an available AMD cpu to do it with myself. They said the work would not be done until the following day, but was actually finished later in the same day. PC is now up and running thanks to these guys and it was an extremely fair price for getting the job done as quickly as they did.
I had warnings that my hard drive was starting to fail so I first took it to a well known computer repair chain and they gave me a list of things that had to be done first before they would even look at the computer, such as recovery disks, etc (even though the hard drive was still working). I took it to Tech Advanced Computers and they cloned the old drive with a new one and now the computer is back working fine. No recovery disks or restore from an external hard drive where my documents, etc. are stored. Very reasonable price and turnaround time and most importantly with minimal labor on my part....Bob

A great place to pick up almost any cable you might need. Their prices are a bit more than you can find online but they really help you with returning broken items. The staff is very knowledgeable and the computer service section often will help you with small issues for free.
Despite moving over 600 miles away from the Pensacola area, I was still able to call and have my questions answered about my iMac. Robert is the guy to go to when it comes to these computers and if it werent for the distance Id have him work on my computer every time. Ive had Robert work on my computers since 2007 and he has never let me down once. So if youre in the Pensacola area this is the place to go.

They have worked on my MAC Book Pro several times and have done a fantastic job. They are super fast and professional. They even fix several software issues that Apple Care could not fix over the phone.

Purchased an employee recommended item only to not have it fit. When I attempted to return the item the employees rudely rejected the return for policy reasons. The product that I now have as a paper weight is of poor quality and very overpriced.
I went to this place trying to find DDR2 RAM for my ancient PC. Lucky enough, one of the salesman/ cashiers helped me and answered almost all of my questions. What I liked, is that if he didnt know the answer, he would tell me that he didnt know, which is the best thing you can do. Most people, including myself, cannot stand those who act like they know what they are talking about. I would go back here any day and I think I will many more times in the future. The processors are a little overpriced, but everything else is fairly inexpensive.
When i need parts last minute, this is where i go! Chris has always been great. Glad they are here, and they are open seven days a week!
I have had the Tech Advanced repair shop fix two macbooks and both times I had an excellent experience. The tech called me and talked to be both times before completing any repairs and was polite and honest. He even helped me weigh the pros and cons of completing a more expensive repair. Do not waste your time relying on the (lack of) knowledge with the sales team. They have wasted my time multiple times aruging with me about what I do and dont need. After being mislead again about products in store over the phone and being presented with a old product in person, I can no longer recommend shopping here. If you choose to do so, I would recommend doing ample research on the product youre looking for and ignore the sales people. Ive spent ~$10k over the last few years here, knowing that their products were overpriced but wanted to help local business, but I will no longer do so.For Google: The atmosphere at Tech Advanced is best described as smug

I was referred here by Best Buy, so I called it was 10 mins to 5 ask where they was located he gave me the address I told him I was wanting to drop my computer off and I was from out of town ask if they could wait until I got there he said no they close at 5 sharp. I said ok I believe I can make it there by 5. I rushed over there made it 2 mins til they locked the door and said they close at 5 I showed my phone and said it’s 2 mins til and the guy said sorry we are closed! And to know I was fixing to spend $500 dollars there, I will take my money else where! Thanks for letting me know up front how you really treat your costumers!
I went to Tech Advanced Computers about 18 months ago and was treated very poorly. I was placing my Mac in for service & asked to see the Mac technician. I was told that he WAS NOT IN THE STORE. As I was starting to leave the store, I observed the service advisor conversing with THE NOT IN THE STORE Mac Tech. I confronted the service advisor and he and another female employee LAUGHED IN MY FACE. I then withdrew my Mac computer from repair and left the store. I then wrote a letter to the president of Tech Advance complaining about this event and I WAS IGNORED by him also. I have since gone to other Apple Authorized stores for service & I will NEVER SET FOOT in Tech Advanced again. Some places of business think that they are TOO BIG TO FAIL, but if a business gives bad service to enough people they will. Tech Advance knows their tech stuff & IF YOU WANT TO BE ABUSED as a free bonus, then by all means do business with them. THIS UPDATE for Tech Advanced - It is now 2017 and I have not been ABUSED in TWO YEARS by Tech Advanced Computers - THE REASON I have not set foot into the place since they laughed in my face two years ago I continue to spend my $$$ at other Apple approved repair places and I am as happy as a clam.
Took laptop in for screen repair and when picking my laptop up and taking home the Disk player hit the floor the screw was missing they had taken the bottom part of my computer a part the sad part is when ask why was the parts missing I was told they did touch the keyboard at all. When asking why the computer would not power on I was told that it had sand damage when stated that theres no why. Then the tech said it had water damage but my laptop never had sand nor water damage and work just fine minus the crack in the screen. The manager called and was rude told me to shut my mouth.If you dont want to have to hire a lawyer like I did. Please take the time to take your computer to a business that takes pride in the service they provide.
