I mean... Cookie dough everything?? Everything is amazing, by definition. My kids love the jawns so so much! My 8-yr-old wants me to say the first time she tasted the jawn, her head exploded. Id have to agree with her. Its my favorite indulgence in the city. Dont count the calories, just treat yo self!!

One of the best cupcakes I have had. Perfectly sweet, fluffy and moist. I got the chocolate hazelnut, chocolate ganache, red velvet and the vanilla. Each one was so good. Im glad to have found this place.

Update: Okay, I have now tried too many of their cupcakes and they are all awesome!! We bought a dozen for my birthday and did a variety. All are awesome, none felt too sweet to my partner and I. I definitely recommend again to sit them out for an hour two before eating so that the frosting is nice and soft.Admittedly, Im a bit cupcake/cake/sweets obsessed. I stopped in here with my partner to try out a cupcake to see if theyd be worthy to order from for my birthday (its not that hard to be worthy). The cupcakes were great. We ordered two and ate them while walking, and the flavors were there. I would say that we let ours warm up a little while walking before eating, and mine was a much better texture 20 minutes out of their fridge/display section than it was right out from it. The icing was super soft and creamy 20 minutes later because of the heat outside, and the perfect consistency to lick off. Truly recommend holding onto your cupcake till it warms up, and then completely enjoying it. The lady working there was very nice, and we had a tough time choosing which flavor to get. It is obviously a cupcake store and everything will be very sweet. It did admittedly feel a little pricey, but not bad. I wish they had a cup for water though while we were walking around, it would have been nice to not need to stop by another place just for water.

Lots of goodies for the kids!Visited Philly back in October near Halloween and the store was all decked out with spooky cupcakes and goodies. The cookie bars were delicious and I fell in loveeee with the cupcakes as well.I’m usually not much of a sweets person but these cupcakes were delicious and very cute with their decor!!

I went twice in the last few weeks. First visit I bought 4 cupcakes for around $20. I got chocolate peanut butter, strawberry champagne, red velvet and something blueberry. They were all good, not great but good. Another reviewer noted they are cold when you buy them and that they are better when they warm up. This is true. Maybe they could tell their customers this but the people who worked there were not interested in small talk. Even talk about their product. I felt they were very rude and a bit condescending. But I went back again to buy a jawn. Eh. Not worth $9.00. I also bought a brownie with a layer of peanut butter and topped with choc ganache. This was wonderful and so delicious. Were the employees again not friendly and a bit rude I would definitely go back for this brownie. I dont remember the price bit it was so good it didnt matter. I doubt Ill ever go back. A smile and pleasant demeanor go far with me.

Its amazing how a small operation can offer a large variety of desserts! Their cupcakes are so delicious, youd want to swim in the frosting. Id recommend the banana pudding cupcake as well as the strawberry champagne. Im excited for which holiday flavors will occupy my stomach!

Everything looked very cute. I’m not a cupcake person but I wanted to give them a shot since I live in the neighborhood. I could tell by the selection of items that everything would be extremely sugary. Flavors like “birthday cake” and “cookie dough”, etc. (I generally prefer desserts that are fruit based or at least balanced with acid/bitterness to cut the sugar, like dark chocolate desserts.) I ordered a strawberry cupcake hoping the cream cheese frosting would add some sourness to cut the sweetness. As expected, though, my cupcake’s flavor was predominantly sugar. I did taste the strawberry flavor, but I was put off by how hard in texture my cupcake was.Everyone’s palate is totally different and I imagine this is the perfect bakery for a lot of people. For me, it was just too sweet. One cupcake, eaten now 25 minutes ago, and my mouth/head is still buzzing and tingling from the sugar. If you’re a frosting junkie, you should go!

They are handcrafted right in front of you, yet completely unpretentious, and they’re served by the friendliest of staff.Don’t come here if you’re looking for delicate French pastries with fruit. This is not that place.Considering the quality of their products, their prices are fair – not overpriced like some have stated. This isn’t Dunkin’ Donuts.The original Jawn is pure ecstasy that you should definitely share with someone and not eat all by yourself. Or maybe you should, who am I to judge? :)

I recently made a trip to Philadelphia and was so excited to try these cupcakes. I can honestly say that after paying over $57 for a dozen cupcakes.... they werent worth the money. The cake is very dry and not at all what I expected for the price paid! Unfortunately, these cupcakes were not the greatest 🤔

Just got home from the shop where I had a wonderful interaction with one of the bakers, I believe. They were really helpful and friendly and SO right about the banana pudding.. it’s amazing!!! I’ve already helped myself to tastes of both the banana pudding and one of the cupcakes I purchased (cake batter) and both are blowing my mind. Delicious! Can’t wait to continue supporting this shop and spreading the word about how fantastic it is.

Wide assortment of desserts, and the desserts themselves are massive and delicious! Great for a catering option, or for individual treats.Food: I love how much variety there is, and Ive tried a few options myself - each one has been delicious, but some were a bit too sweet / I personally wouldnt order again (funfetti birthday cake bar was a bit sweet for me). Definitely would cut up the cookie dough brownie and the chocolate chip smores tart - one could probably feed 2-3 people!Overall: 5 / 5 - delicious treats, and I love the variety of cupcake flavors. I wish they were a bit less expensive, but I think worth it for how large and tasty the desserts are! Would love to come back and try more!

I have tasted many cupcakes from different Cupcake Wars Winners, from L.A., to Memphis, and Pensacola. These cupcakes put all of them to shame. Even the ones from Carlos bakery. They were delicious, moist, and full of flavor! And they werent just flavored frostings slapped onto chocolate or vanilla cupcakes... The cake was flavored as well!

I live in W Mt Airy and this is a tradition to go into Center City to get Sweet Box for my son’s birthday. He is already planning on getting Sweet Box for his wedding. They are that good.

This place is amazing if you have a sweet tooth this is the place for you. Its so many things to choose from all kind of cupcakes, cookies and my favorite the edible cookie. Birthday cake cookie dough is my favorite but suggest you try everything that they have. Nice place great people make sure that you leave them a tip too.

Went here for the first time. Everything in the showcase looks delicious and is presented very well. I bought a strawberry margarita cupcake. It was cold, hard and had a heavy buttercream icing. I honestly wouldnt come back for their cupcakes. Would possibly come back to try other things but they are expensive.

I come back time and time again for the lawn and dirty jawn. I’m definitely a dessert person and the jawns take the cake every time. Both hit every dessert craving at the same time. Seriously do yourself a favor and grab one or multiple. Cupcakes also really really good

I tried the strawberry champagne, I picked it up and realized it was really cold, I was turned off until I took my first bite it was delicious! However, generally speaking I like my treats warm/room temp. I also purchased the “Jawn” at first glance I was like this is what they are known for ? Its to much for me, a lot going on in my opinion. Oh also just for the two items I paid $13.50 definitely overly priced for sure !

This place was incredible! We drove from New Jersey and it was definitely worth the drive. Staff was very friendly. Our favorites were the cookie dough brownie, Jawn, and strawberry milkshake cupcake. Can’t wait to go back for more.

Purchased a dozen red velvet cupcakes for an Academy Awards party, delivered for $73.89. Thats $6.15, but I was hoping they were similar to the wonderful ones I used to get at Sprinkles in Beverly Hills, CA. They werent. They were smaller and not nearly as good, at a cost of $2.00 more per cupcake. They also arrived smashed in their carrier box (see picture).

It was so appetizing. Prices that wont shock you.

Cupcakes are yummy but pricey! The women in the shop were super friendly and the cupcakes are worth it.

I love love love this place. Everything they make is delicious. From cupcakes to cookies. Its all fresh and delicious. The chocolate ganache cupcake is the best chocolate cupcake I have ever eaten. Its not cheap but let me tell you its worth every dollar.

My friends and I visited Philly for the day and had a taste for cupcakes. We were not familiar with any bakeries so we did a google search. After reading reviews, we decided to visit Sweet Box. We made an excellent choice. The cupcakes are so AMAZING. Everything about the cupcake is so good. We all bought some. We also purchased cookies, they were amazing too! The owner is super nice. We visited close to their closing time, she had 4 mini cupcakes left and she gave them to us! I would recommend this place to any cupcake lover! We will definitely visit again!

$4.50 for a cupcake is insane not even House of cupcakes in Princeton charge that much. Never again.

This exceeded my expectations and my expectations were high for this place. I have been sending my boyfriend Instagram messages for a month now, of these delicious looking treats. Finally, we went to sweet box! It was a very very small bakery, no inside seating and on the corner of a small street.The treats looked even better than on their Instagram! They werent too expensive for specialized bakery, such as Sweet Box. We got the brownie Jawn and it had m&ms inside of it- what a delicious surprise! My boyfriend got the banana pudding which he said was absolutely delicioso! He ate the whole thing, plus half a jawn and his cookies and cream cupcake. I got the cake batter cupcake, which in our opinion was better than the cookies and cream.Everything was so fresh and we went later on a Saturday Night. There were still plenty options to choose from and the employees made wonderful suggestions. The price wasnt bad at all for what we got. We got two cupcakes, a jawn and banana pudding for 22 dollars.The food was too good to wait and take photos of, but def a must try in the Philadelphia area!

Amazing cupcakes and amazing staff! I brought my sister and 4 year old nephew here the other day. They had an Oreo strawberry cupcake that my nephew was dying to try. When we got home we realized we forgot to get his cupcake. I called Sweet box at 7:30 (they close at 7) to see if they were still there and if I could come back and grab it real quick since we were just around the corner but they had already closed. But they still answered the phone and even though they had already left they met me to get the Oreo strawberry cupcake. Not to mention it was delicious!

I came here thinking these were going to be great cupcakes, I was wrong. The cupcakes taste like nothing, your paying over $4.00 for whatever cream cheese frosting flavor you pick. Dont waste your time or money.

I was on vacation recently to Philly and this is the best bake shop I came across, better than Phillys high-rated Terminis Bakery. The desserts taste fantastic (especially the cupcakes & pumpkin cheesecake bars) and are skillfully handcrafted by the owner. Im the type of person who doesnt often revel in dessert that is store bought, finding I can usually make better at home myself but that was not the case here! The owner was super nice & helpful & her baking was more on the flavorful side than just your average sugar rush, which is often overlooked in baked goods. If you are looking for a unique flavorful dessert please check it out but if not and you just want ordinary or a basic sugar rush without tact to true talent, then hit up something like - Oh, I dont know - Great American Cookies at the mall :( PLEASE Go if you are anywhere near Broad Street. It was 4 blocks from my hotel The Cambria and many others like Doubletree. Support this local artist and enjoy! I highly recommend the Cinnabun cupcake, Choc Milkshake cupcake, & Pumpkin Cheesecake.
