This location has much more furniture on display than the other Portland location at the Washington Square mall.
I loved it, I cant get enough of this place...any day or time is a good time to go to PB
Poor customer service. I went in today to spend $5000. plus on couches and pillows that I saw on-line and no one would help me. Ignored, so I left. I will purchase living room furniture somewhere else.
Very helpful staff. The sales associate was not pushy, but rather offered useful information while on an impromptu couch shopping day. She was very helpful when my PB credit card wasnt working and facilitated the customer service call to get it corrected.
Nice workers, I usually find a little trinket in the clearance, got an awesome originally super expensive silver platter for like 15$
We usually have good luck finding what we are looking for at Pottery Barn. We went looking for a new dresser, but did not find it. We were planning on getting a new sofa next year, but they had just what we were looking for. We ordered a new leather sofa and nice recliner. Great service and prices!
Lots of home decor options. Their displays are great with a large selection and lots of space to wander. The customer service at this location is always top notch! I was looking for something that wasnt even on display but that didnt keep them from finding for me so I could take it home that day.
So overpriced. The glass they wrapped for my walk home ended up with a big crack. I know well enough that it will somehow be my fault and I honestly cant be bothered for $10. I wont shop there again. The Seattle store is 100% better.
My wife and I purchased a headboard today. We were helped by Stacy. She did a fantastic job helping us pick out a fabric. And we found out the fabric was sold out. Well she would not be denied and was able to get the fabric we wanted. Also helped us out with the a difficult transaction. She is the best. We love Pottery Barn and the help we get ever time we go in to find something for our house. Thank you.
The NW 23rd Pottery Barn store in NW Portland, Or., has an amazing staff. Under the leadership of an outstanding manager, Kevin M., the staff is always helpful and friendly. Every employee at this store works hard but never is too busy to assist us and other customers. The manager and entire staff at this location make shopping there a treat and always, a positive experience.
This place is too expensive for what they’re selling the quality is not worth the price. Yes they do have some high end prices but not high end quality unfortunately.
My mom and I were shopping for a console and buffet at PB on NW 23rd. We had the most wonderful experience and customer service from Sandy! She was so helpful, friendly and assisted us in making decisions. The rest of the staff that we interacted with were really friendly and welcoming.
Customer service is fantastic! They make sure all promotions and deals can be applied to your purchase. The showroom is clean, organized and staged. The staff is very helpful but not pushy at all.
This place is awful. Are they too new to know? Are they too rude to care? I returned an online order that was only being returned because the website incorrectly described a product and because the customer service number said to return to a store. The lady that “greeted” me warned me she was helping someone else and it would be awhile. Then called me to the counter only to ask me if I wanted to look around because it would still be awhile. My return was apparently complicated because it required calls to managers. This place is a hot dumpster fire of rude and I knowledgeable employees. It’s disappointing because I like pottery barn’s merchandise.
Like many people, I try to avoid the PB/WE/WS conglomerate if I can because I know there are more inspired options out there. But sometimes, they just have what you need, and its convenient, and thats nice too. This location is hit or miss for me. Their sales can usually be beat on their website, and the associates arent wholly versed on all of the products. The employees are eager to approach when you enter, so if youre like me and just want to get in, find what youre looking for, and get out, the quick pounce style is much appreciated.
Just bought wedding gifts there. They gave us great prices on registry items the couple had selected. They have no boxes for any items we purchased. We are now huntung fir boxes. Bummer.
I purchased a rug that they had two of on display in the store. They said it was being discontinued so they would ship one to the store for me to pick up. I asked if I could take one of the rugs they had displayed in the store instead, since it was being discontinued. The manager said no.I called three times to check on the status of the rug and finally one representative said they could give me a rug they had in store. That would have been nice to do a week prior when I was already in the store and had paid for the rug. I declined because I didnt want to find get traffic and drive to the store that day. When the rug arrived, I sat at the back pickup lot for 30 minutes before someone brought it out. I had to call the store from the back parking lot to get someone to deliver it.Its a big box store that doesnt give their floor representatives enough decision making power. Everything has to be run by a manager and the manager-of-the-manager to get approved. Things work slow and customer service is not a priority.
One of my favorite places to shop!!! Plus they honor military veterans with a discount!
Horrible customer service overall!
I came in today to pick up a pre paid order and was quite surprised how rude two different sales ladies were. I had never shopped at that location even though I shop often next door. Needless to say, I wont be back.
DONT order furniture from here - took me almost 9 months to get the upholstered couch I ordered. Also -good luck finding a friendly person who knows anything about their products or how their confusing rewards system works. Sales persons are just plain rude.
We have consistently experienced terrible customer service here, leading us to literally walk out the door and across the street to Restoration Hardware after trying to purchase thousands of dollars worth of merchandise. I am a member of the trade and it is incredibly disappointing to be met with such brash disregard for the customer. Employees are clearly disgruntled.
This company somehow obtained my name and address for the sole purpose of sending me unwanted mail through USPS. Now I have to spend my free time figuring out how they obtained my information and how to prevent them from sending me excessive, unwanted mail. I will include this business in a complaint to the Oregon Attorney General about this conduct. I shouldnt have to deal with antiquated issues like this in 2019. Its really annoying how baby boomers ruin everything, and have no desire to move on with their lives like the rest of Americas current working class.
Terrible customer service. The employees do not want to help anyone spending under 5000. Everything seems like a hassle to them and they seem not to care much about the commission they are losing from unhappy customers. Glad I did not purchase anything from them. Mike in particular was a stuck up employee who called another store to ask for something we were looking for and proceeded to tell them if they were busy to not bother to look. Not sure who is running this store but seems to be lacking major customer service skills. Remember- customers run your business. Appreciate them and they might actually buy something.
The selection, and the way they merchandise home goods is always appealing.
Quick and easy to buy a gift certificate for a housewarming gift.
Went in to buy a chandelier that we saw the week prior. The price tag was 600. So asked a rep if we could buy it. She seemed confused when I interupted her and 3 employees shooting the breeze by the purchase desk. After a very confusing conversation, she basically said it was 700 according to the internet and she would have to ship it and spent 10 minutes staring at her computer? I was with my wife and we were really confused because we were looking right at the price tag that is displayed for all eyes to see for 600 and just wanted to buy it. She just kind of stared at us funny & I was so confused what was going on that I decided to leave. It seemed like she didnt understand that they were a store. I just wanted to buy the dang thing but she didnt really know/want to sell it. Im still confused what happened as I write this. She didnt even try to sell it and Im still unsure what the price is was because she wouldnt give us a final answer on what the price was since there was shipping and Internet said 700 but their store showed 600. Go check it out...its the main chandelier in the middle of the store with the glass jars over each light. Its priced at 599 with a nice big tag. Try to buy it and see what happens. You will feel like you just dropped acid after they get done with you. Its really was that weird. Maybe its a front for a gambling operation downstairs or illegal rabbit fights...since it doesnt seem they are there to sell stuff.
Bought a dining room table and chairs off the sales floor. Customer Service was awesome and the guys loaded it up into my truck all packaged for travel.
We were traveling to Portland for business and I had a little time so I visited the store on 23rd! Gorgeous store! I purchased a large woven tray (discontinued, last one) and a pair of throws that were on sale (had a few pulls as they were woven and I thought, oh well, I can fix them when I receieve them) but i just opened my box and they were thrown in loose, no packing or protection, not even in a plasic bag and were thrown in with a tray that was loosely wrapped in brown paper....tons of room as the box was WAY too big. What a mess...Id be embarrassed to send that to a customer. I shouldve judged by the way the sales girl scowled when I asked if I could have them shipped? Yikes. lesson learned for future...if someone looks at you like you are wasting their time, believe youre gonna pay...in some way. :/ P.S. I still love Pottery Barn :)
Sales associate were rude and not helpful at all, I felt like I was judge base on how I looked that day.Update 2019 june.New sales associate and designer is amazinf. Maria found exactly what i was looking for and was able to take my order over the phone.
Such a poor customer service I don’t know if it base on my race, they seem to be more cater to non African Americans, standing there no body seems very much helpful.
I hope they have Pottery barn kids or West elm Store near this location
Another Flagship store! Similar to how William Sonoma next door carries items you cant find elsewhere, this Pottery Barn is one of two Pottery Barn Baths in the nation. Worth walking around, going upstairs and next door to explore and see if you can find something you cant live without!
Love shopping its the place to go.
This location provided adequate selection of products in a rather ascetically pleasing atmosphere however, this statement is the end of any positive comment I have to contribute to the reputation of this Pottery Barn location on NW 23rd.To surmise that the customer service at this location was atrocious would be a grievous understatement. Not only were we looked upon as mere heathens by any sales representative we had the misfortune of making eye contact with, but our seemingly simple and unoffensive inquiries were treated with blatant condescension. One particular sales representative, Diane, lacked even the simple courtesy to perhaps wipe the tidal wave of patronization off of herself when we asked if Pottery Barn carried any sort of shot glasses. Our sheer request must have seemed much too intolerable for poor Diane, as she interrupted to respond with a loathsome, This is POTTERY BARN, and we dont carry ANYTHING of THAT nature. You should really try WILLIAMS-SONOMA.I am well aware that Pottery Barn tailors their products to upper-class, detail-oriented, materialistic cliental however, I do not find this to be sufficient rationale to treat any customer with a sense of superiority or arrogance. Shame on you, Diane, and most other sales representatives of the NW 23rd location of Pottery Barn. Your complete lack of common courtesy has cost your company yet another customer. I would not recommend this location, (or for that matter, any location that fosters an environment of petty egotism) to anyone.
Friendly staff. They are helpful
Snobby place with little to no customer service. Great selection of goods though.
Love their styles!
Its a nice store.
SOOO overpriced.
Had very bad experience with this disorganized company
I dont really shop at pottery barn but its really pretty inside. And the costumer service is mostly good
As always, amazing.
Its a pottery vary catalog in person. The staff was friendly. They seemed short on stock for some items, but that is probably only temporary.
Good and standard Pottery Barn
