Amazing breakfast experience! We had a great time chatting with the owner and checking out the art. The house roasted coffee (drip coffee and decaf americano) and breakfast burrito were so good.

Great food, wife and I loved the Better breakfast sandwich, cappuccino and Chai were good. If you are staying near old Town, I would suggest this place. Also the Stag is not far from and can be seen overhead.

I order all my coffee from Nichole. She always suggests something new I will love and then mails the coffee to my home. Everyday I enjoy their coffee at home.

Went here because my wife wanted tea, it was ok tea. The sandwiches on the other hand were horrible, one was over cooked and the other undercooked.Bad experience, don’t go here for breakfast!

Lets just say this has been one of the best Saturdays Ive had downtown in a LONG while. The CBD add-on option is a must! I recommend 10mg for rec users, as it was an extremely meditative, full body experience. The caffeine & CBDs work in a weird synergy that is calming and stimulating at the same time. I will be making this a weekend treat from now on!

Excellent coffee and excellent service. I really like Floyds. Lots of interesting decorations and furniture. Staff is very chill and friendly. The backroom is a perfect spot to meet with a small group and they have a really nice off the building patio area to hang out. Highly recommended.

Great old fashioned place, very cosy

Floyds is a very nice and cozy place to relax, have delicious coffee, sit in multiple rooms, each one different from the next, listen to good music, work or play on your lap top, or hang out on the large patio with umbrella tables that seat at least 4 each. Quite spacious inside and out, although Ive never seen it over crowded there, meaning its always comfortable. They have some tasty food breakfast food and or pastries as well. Nice atmosphere. Give it a try!

Ordered black coffee, latte and two pastries to go. Coffee and pastries came quickly. Waited and waited and waited for latte and when asked I was told it was a busy morning. Waited some more and told the same thing. Yet three people who ordered after me received their drinks. I didn’t have any more time to wait as I’m headed to Bend so I left without the latte. My wife’s coffee was very nice. My latte? Hopefully someone enjoyed it. Bull**it excuse by barista!

Staff are always great here, and their music playlists are fantastic. Great spot to catch an early morning latte (and some grub, too - a bit expensive, but really tasty and they make you feel like you got your moneys worth) and catch up on some work in a booth in peace. Great patio, too!

Im a homegrown Portlander, one of the last of her kind. This place is legit. The building use to be a club back in the day - many good times were had.Im glad its a coffee shop now that can meet my dietary restrictions, ah how sweet lifes little changes can be.They have a fantastic assortment of snacks for all diet types. Im gluten-free, vegan, with a corn allergy and they were able to delight my fancy. Thats impressive!The new management is cool too. Im glad theyre putting in the elbow grease to make some improvements. This will seriously be one of my favorite haunts.

I love this place. The vibe is always so chill in the morning and I appreciate that beyond belief. There are other places closer to my work, but I come here because I love the morning barista so much!!! He has really helped me feel welcome as a transplant from the South.

Floyd’s is a great coffee spot. At one time I lived off there breakfast burrito! It’s a great deal for 4.50 compared to other burritos at the same cost. It’s the livingroom of old town Portland!

I gave 5 stars because this place is truly a neighborhood gem! Plus the manager (I’m assuming, they had wonderful customer interaction skills) was wonderful! Kind and sociable with customers, dealt with a rule breaker in a firm but respectful way. The environment is like if Central Perk (of Friends fame!) met a 1940s New York City diner, with a twist of unique Portland charm. There’s a small performance stage with sofas, plenty of seating for single diners up to 10ish people. Staff was good, I really enjoyed their breakfast burrito too- soy chorizo, cheese, egg and pico! Food and drinks are very reasonably priced, and the clientele is a mix of business people and neighborhood residents. Such a pleasant place :)

Great coffee! Yummy food. Nice place to come get work done and have a coffee. The music can sometimes be a little loud so if youre not into that, you might not like it.

Nice spot. Outside seating. Fair prices on simple things that are great. Just needs more employees and probably triple pay for them for all the great work they do. That’s all that I saw was lacking, as I had to wait awhile and the employee (1) was way too busy being great, in an unhealthy way, creating congestion by the door and exhaustion all around . Not a good business practice. Still a wonderful place that I’m sure will continue to do well.

Very nice atmosphere and extremely unique to the many other coffee shops downtown that tend to all be the same. Beautiful seating area outside where you can smoke or vape while drinking your coffee all year around. There caramel lattes are particularly yummy 😋. I love this place and the employees as well. 5 stars for sure 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!

Excellent place for productivity. Its spread out enough that you can avoid louder patrons, but still cozy with good downbeat music playing at just the right volume. Several outlets and choice of soft chairs, single tables, and big booths permit any sort of workspace for the itinerant remote professional. Drip coffee is good, comes in big mugs. Ill be back to try their soup or rice & beans.

I love this place! I know the owners and they are so amazingly nice. I always have great time there and I look forward to going each time. I would love move vegan food options other than beans and rice, but the milk alternatives for the coffee are great. Would definitely recommend for anytime (:

Long standing favorite at their east side location. This spot holds up to its siblings awesome reputation.This one is a lot bigger with many more spaces to sit, relax or work. The location is prime and tucked quietly into the middle of the block with a patio in the summer months.They have great grounds, decent tea, and solid snacks. The food menu looks delicious and I am excited to try it more.The baristas are all super friendly and know the regulars well. A lot of them have worked here for years. They are efficient yet can chat and do their job. Its nice when having a conversation doesnt mean holding up the entire line. The line space here is small but it moves fast.A great work from home spot every now and again. There is power around some tables when you need it and the wifi is generally dependable.This place is nothing snooty or fancy, its good people, good coffee and a great space. Come enjoy the tunes or just grab something on your way through.

Great caramel latte! The barista is super nice and friendly. The atmosphere is soothing and warm, helpful for combating the Portland chill outside. Their patio is gorgeous as well. Prices are a bit high but the experience is worth it.

There is one employee here who wont even do the bare minimum of customer service. No hello, goodbye, please, thank you, or youre welcome. Not even a smile. It is extremely uncomfortable and bordering on hostile. All other employees are 5-star and extremely pleasant to interact with. Id recommend going Saturday or Sunday since that is when problem employee usually isnt working.

This is the most unfriendly coffee shop Ive been to. I have been here 4 times because it is close to the location of my early morning appointments. Each time it was empty when I entered, which I thought was odd since Starbucks on the next corner was so crowded I couldnt get in, and the coffee shop two blocks away was relatively busy. The first three times I was there I did not feel especially welcome, in fact I got the impression I was interrupting whatever it was the young man was doing before I walked in, but what the hell, I wasnt there to socialize with the staff, I was just there to have a morning drink and write while waiting for my appointment. However, the fourth time I was there, the young man repeated my order (iced matcha tea and a pastry), and in a minute handed me hot matcha. When I reminded him I had asked for it iced, instead of just saying oh sorry, I misunderstood you, he said You didnt make that clear. I dont know how much clearer I could have been.I walked out. Without my order. Wont be back.

Good coffee and good food. But too loud (this is not a bar, you dont need to play alt. rock at maximum volume ALL THE TIME) and its not uncommon for the servers to completely forget about your order because theyre too busy chatting with each other. That has happened to me multiple times.

Floyds is great! I work nearby and initially checked this place out because of the convenient location. I was impressed by the quality of the beverage, but what really won me over is the great customer service. The baristas here run a tight and comprehensive ship. They deal with more than the average barista and do so with smiles on their faces. Kwan is always a friendly face and brings a sense of calm in the storm. I love coming here because he is so welcoming. Keep doing your thing!

Real good gem with consistent service and alright atmosphere - hang out an hour. Bathrooms, and better than you’d think re: the ratio of local working professionals and bums, to be frank...

A neat little place in Old Town, right off the MAX. They use stumptown coffee and quality ingredients to make delicious coffee and food. The staff is helpful and pleasant, and the seating is expansive and comfortable.

A fun little coffee shop with a lot of personality. Great coffee, comfortable setting. Love the outdoor cafe style tables in the courtyard. I always try to stop here when in old town.

Two things. Went in for one of their proudly advertised sandwiches to be greeted with a mutter of swears from the server as he walked away. There are points when lines get busy - never should it entail swearing because of a customers order that may take longer than others. Dont put it on the menu if you dont want to serve it. Lost a repeating customer. I wouldve given it two stars because of that incident but subtracted another for how they serve their beer. In order to fill two beers - they took four half filled glasses filled with foam and scooped the foam out with a spoon. Then they combined them to give to their customer(s). It is great they offer a variety of foods/drink but should focus on doing something correctly instead of trying to do everything.

Floyds Coffee is the calm in the eye of the storm that is Old Town. The coffee is great, the staff is spot on, and the environment is perfect, whether you need a cup on the run, or you need a place to chill and do homework, or hunker down with business associates to discuss the topics of the day. The courtyard is great for a breath of fresh air, or a smoke if you got one. Best coffee shop in Portland.

Coffee to order at the counter any way you like it! Tea also available. Park in the garage two blocks away. Street parking is limited. Great place for small group or one-on-one business meetings.

Mostly nice, but had sort of a touristy in and out feel to it. Also, I really disliked the blasting of oldies rock. I dont mine music, but it was incredibly hard to ignore while doing work. Overall, with all the great coffee shops around, Im not really sure why I would come here again. Maybe the food is where its at. I didnt try any. Also, the person behind the counter was kind of dismissive. I suppose he knew I wasnt the type for this place. I ordered tea.

One of my favorite pretentious coffee houses in Portland. Staff makes delicious coffee drinks that are slightly spend but worth it. They also have a decent selection of baked goods that are vegan/gluten free/dairy free.

Loved going here when I worked nearby. Best ambience of any downtown coffee shop IMO, and the coffee is good. Have never had a bad experience with their staff.

Delightful and zen haven in the middle of Old Town. Baristas are friendly in a peaceful, quiet way - which I truly enjoy. Ask the morning weekday barista about his day and youll be engaged in a joyful intelligent chat! Breakfast burrito w/ vegetarian chorizo and also the kick start breakfast sandwiches are so delicious. Stumbled onto this place and loved it as soon as I walked in. Great atmosphere inside and a great outdoor area behind it as well.Workers were friendly, drinks were great, and the place had a very unique vibe to it. I need to remember to get over there more often.

Floyds is a great stop in old Town for good coffee and reasonable coffee shop food - $6 grilled cheese, $4.50 vegetarian breakfast burrito, $6 red beans and rice, and other sandwiches and soup, plus pastries. The ambience is great for a casual one on one meeting or afternoon catching up on work

Floyds was not on my lists of coffee establishments to try in Portland, but I was pleasantly surprised. The espresso dished out exceeded my expectations. Part of it must have been the Coava coffee used, but most certainly the technique of the personnel put it over the top for me. The two cozy coaches are a nice touch.

Just off the waterfront and in the heart of old town. Great coffee, but I recommend the red beans and rice.

Really liked the old style theme, set up, and My beverage! Peach ginger black tea with micro foam steamed almond milk!!! Also the crumpets they have, by GEM, are yummy and vegan!

Great lattes and drip coffee. The breakfast burriots are amazing as well. Perfect for grabbing a quick cup of superior coffee while heading to class at the U of O White Stag Campus, or about to get on the Max.

Dark, cozy and serving great Amercianos. You can work here for hours, sitting in the back, at a booth, or at the large common table. Solid WiFi.

One of my favorite coffee houses in Portland. Lots of seating options: large, communal table; small tables; couches; booths; outdoor tables. Usually has cool, original art by a featured artist on the walls.

Relaxed environment. Good music, food and of course excellent coffee.

The staff was very efficient, the taste was excellent (ordered the mocha), very good atmosphere (however there was a LOT of transients camped all around it, they may want to hire low level security).Beautiful service, kudos to Floyds, I may have a new favorite coffee shop.

I like this place because its bigger than your normal coffee shop. They have a cute outdoor seating space tucked away in an ally. The staff is hip, not the smiliest bunch but they get your order right. They serve Stumptown coffee and pastries but the breakfast burrito is my favorite.

I do like this place, however, a couple of caveata. The individual that has always been working when Ive come in, while pleasant and efficient, leaves me feeling a tiny bit like Ive been condescended to and patronized. Mentioning that the wonderful patio is hard to enjoy while engulfed in cigarette smoke, a resoundingly Meh was the response.

The neighborhood can be...um, exciting every now and then, but its worth the adventure. Floyds is one of the best coffee shops in Portland.

Great coffee shop in Northwest Portland Downtown in the Old Town & Chinatown neighborhood... Whenever Im in Portland I always stop here for my breakfast needs at least once, sometimes more. I always have their breakfast burrito, grain bagel, cafe au lait, and cappuccino. Great place to start your day, game plan, or just read and work on your laptop.

Awesome spot to hang out on a Sunday morning or early afternoon. Best to show up after noon, though if you want to grab a coffee and run. The barista is alone until then. The brick courtyard patio is a wonderful place to reunion with old friends on a sunny sunday afternoon.

Very cozy place right in the center. Limited food selection. But some choices. Like breakfast burrito, different panini; also vegan. And for sure a great smooth coffee and dragonfly chai tea as well as a Mexican chocolate.

Nice place, good prices and drinks. In a kinda weird area with crazy bums walking around talking to themselves. Its sad that there are so many of them, they ruin a lot of areas like this. Harsh but true.

Great location less than a block from the Chinatown/Old Town MAX station. I havent tried the coffee but the pastries are really delicious and taste fresh, even in the afternoon. The staff is friendly. There are plenty of seating options. No wi-fi as far as I could tell.

These guys are amazing. They know their stuff when it comes to making paninis and the spicy chai here is superb. (Also they have adequate outdoor seating so you can sit and enjoy the day, too!)
