I brought my computer in because it wouldnt turn on...also the up volume button wouldnt work. Vince said it was unusual but would figure it out.He later told me exactly what the problem was and that I needed a new battery. Years went by...O.K. just a few weeks but because of supply chain issues, they couldnt install a new battery. He wrapped it up so I could use it at home and when the battery came in, they put it in quickly.Through it all, Vince, Carla, and the gang kept me informed.They are very professional and know what theyre doing. I cant fault them for having my battery on a ship in the China/Korean Sea.They took the time to explain the troubles and I appreciated that.

I had multiple items all worked on with this company. They were expensive, but voiced they could get my project done. They are obviously supposed to be the experts, not me and is why I hired them. They messed up my project and spend hours longer than expected and charged me for the full amount leaving me with a botched project. When I confronted them about the mess up they voiced that I should have known better and knew what I was getting myself into and it was my own problem?? I asked them to help correct the issues which they voiced they could help, but would continue to charge me their full hourly rate. I tried to even get the owner involved, but refused to even talk to me or email me back. Only after I posted this negative review did they ever contact me back, but I already found another company who was able to complete the project at a fraction of this companys cost. So to sum up, very expensive to have my project messed up, and for me to pay another company to finish the job. Very unprofessional and would recommend looking elsewhere as there are many other companies out there.

This review of PC Works is for the 10% of you readers that are trapped in the Apple cult like me. Lots of people understand a PC but it’s hard finding really smart Apple techs. I took my MacBook Pro to them with some serious repair issues, and it was in need of a long overdue OS update. They were great. Not everything went perfectly with the new OS download and they were able to find my missing bits and restore my computer file (and my sanity). I’ve been to an Apple Store genius bar and did not get the good service I did at PC Works.I give them 5 stars. And I will definitely go to them again.

We have done business with PC Works for many, many years for services both in home and at their office and recently purchased a new computer from them. They efficiently transferred everything from our old computer in a very short period of time. I would highly recommend them for new equipment as well as for repairs of existing equipment.

Used these folks for the first time for a stop code error that was holding up my work productivity. Not only did they fix it but gave me a solution to prevent it from happening again. I brought in my 5 year old HP laptop and an old external hard drive I wasnt sure could be repaired and was willing to pay the diagnostic fee (which was reasonable) to find out. I found the technicians honesty and integrity about the feasibility of repairing the equipment (repairs were not feasible) to be absolutely refreshing. The equipment wasnt worth repairing at what it would cost to purchase new and I havent been told that by ANY repair firm for anything in a very long time. Recently, I had a major computer crash! It occurred at a time that I really needed my computer. I contacted PC Works, to see if they could help me? I had several older computers that possibly could have been resurrected? Took them all in, including the crashed one! They checked them all, but they could not be useable! The crashed computer hard drive was damaged beyond recovery! Fortunately, they had a refurbished Linovo ThinkCentre available, which I purchased! Although I now had to re-download some major programs, apps and data files, I was able to become operational, again! All this happened on a Friday, so I am eternally grateful for the very timely help PC Works has always been there when I needed a tip or direct help! My computer wasnt working. It needed a major virus clean-up. That was done and now it works perfectly!

Went in with an obvious break on my Mac screen -- PC works told me that they didnt need to run diagnostics but that because they had to look up the cost of the part (which other repair shops did in 5 minutes) I would need to still pay them the $45 diagnostic fee upfront. I did this hoping that it be worth it for a fair price later, but after 4 days of them holding my computer and giving me no information, and after placing multiple calls asking to get an estimate from them, they tried to charge me $200 more than another computer repair shop in town for the same repair, in addition to that $45 fee. Disappointed to be out $45 for inferior pricing and service.

So I bought a computer from best buy and dropped it within 2 weeks, so I took it to geeksquad and they wanted more to fix it $768 then I bought it for $750, so I took it to PC work and they charged me $135 and really helped me out. THEYRE THE BEST!!

I brought in my HP Envy Laptop which is only 2 years old. I thoughtthe edges were separating and when I noticed a 1 opening on oneside I knew there was a problem. I brought it in and sat with Mat who took one look at it and said it was the battery. Which had a slight chance of exploding. I had him run a whole diagnostic as well as replacing thebattery. Everything else was fine. It was a faulty battery which should have lasted at least 8 years. I was extremely pleased with the service andthe way I was treated. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I woulddefinitely use them again. I have written to HP to request reimbursementfor the defective battery. Thank you PC Works for everything

I bought a new laptop a few months ago, and made a big mistake!! I specified a hard disk drive in the new laptop instead of a solid state drive! This resulted in slower performance, and boot-up times on the order of 5 minutes. The folks at PCWorks replaced the HDD with a SSD, in less than a day, and cloned the old drive to the new one for me. MY new laptop is now performing the way I wanted, with bootup taking less than 30 seconds. Now I dont get so frustrated every time I turn on the computer!

I have used The PC Works repair services five times on four different PCs. My computer problems ranged from replacing a laptop fan and hard drive, to removing viruses that I couldnt take care of myself. Every time I have gone to The PC Works, they have given me an accurate estimate of the cost and fixed the problem right away for the estimated cost. The most recent repair was on an older Windows 8 HP laptop that was really getting sluggish. I thought it had software conflict problems, but couldnt find any. I took it to PC Works and they diagnosed a dying hard drive. They replaced it with a 1 TB solid state drive. It is now ultra fast - much faster than when it was brand new. Every member of their staff that I have met have been very friendly and a great pleasure to deal with.

We had such a good experience buying a refurbished Lenovo from PC Works... My husband is so happy with his computer. It was just what he wanted and needed for his use. I recently had a tune up done on my older all in one unit. Service tech, Dan found a host of malware and was able to clean them out. He also helped increase the speed of the unit ( it was running slow which is why I brought it in). He set me up with a malware scanning program that I have been using regularly. When I picked up the unit, Dan was very helpful in explaining what he did and what I needed to do to maintain my unit. Our business relocated from Phoenix to Prescott two years ago and we had no idea who to get to service our account. We began using PC Works and explained to them we needed someone to be available if our system went down since our business relies mainly on our computer system. The PC Works was amazing. Not only did they successfully fix my computer, which is running wonderfully but the service was fast and fantastic. They checked with me every step of the way so that I knew what was going on with my computer and was ok with all the costs. They were happy to help me in any way including getting my computer to me at my convenience after they fixed it. I even call them to ask little tech questions now because they are so reliable and helpful. Thank you PC Works!
