This HD is my go to but I’m especially thrilled with the tool rental repair team. They repaired my beaten up chipper shredder beyond my expectations and provided great customer service generally.
Had some trailer hitch problems today. I was helped by Andrew and then Jim in rentals. Wow!! Such service!! Thank you so much for all your help and Jim for solving our problem!!

Went to Home Depot on July 22nd to buy a washer/dryer. Paid & the delivery guys came to deliver it, but decided my laundry room was too small. They left. Never took it out of the truck.As I write this review, Home Depot has refused to give me my refund 3 weeks after. They say I will get my refund after the vendor receives the items. I was warned about Home Depot. Wish I had listened!! Stay away!!!
Stephanie is probably the best Helper Home Depot could ask for. I’ve spoken with her for all the materials and prices I’ve needed and she’s provided me with the best prices and best customer service out of any other Home Depot there is. If anyone says other wise, then they’re the problem . Shout to Stephanie, will be conducting all my business with her !

Great service!! I learned about a new machine that can scan your keys and keep them in memory. So if you can ever get to a home depot. You can get a copy of the key you have on file. Awesome
I bought all my appliances here for my new home. All LG. We wanted the Samsung stove and microwave, but they were sold out and not available at all. After spending 12K there, the assistant was to provide me with show room model in 30 min to an hr. After I returned from our lunch, I tried to find our sales person for 20 minutes. I inquired with fellow employees, until I was finally told that she was in the breakroom sleeping. I found her the break room, woke her up to supply me with the completion of my order. She said that she would be right out. After, another 10 minutes of waiting, we left the store. This generation of youthful employees are huge disappointment, and loss of American integrity, pride, and work ethic. The gross lack of their desire to achieve a skill, perform a job appropriately, and their lack of work ethic, has shown their educators, parents, and now the employers, that thisIs hurting your bottom line. Stop wasting your money. Hire experienced, work oriented people. They are out there. Recruit them through better marketing strategies. The youth will learn the hard way, as we all have in the past. Short term fix, leads to a long term loss! Learn from the past experiences of business practices.
I normally dont shop here but I needed a part for something last minute. As usual no associate to help and when someone came they were useless. They knew as little as I did.
Terrible. Purchased a new fridge from them. Stated several times to the associate that there would be a few stairs involved in delivery. She assured me that was not a problem and it would be communicated to crew. Crew (Home Depot of course subs out delivery) arrived with the fridge, refused delivery, told me they dont work from Home Depot, not their problem, and just drove off. Called store...bounced around to 5 different people. Called Home Depot hotline - bounced around. Never again. AVOID this store!

I went & rented an equipment and I was told but Kevin that it would not fit in my car so I rented a truck and the equipment did not work and I had to pay for the truck rental anyway. The counter person told me to talk to the manager that he was going to reimburse me for the equipment plus the truck rental. Dave the manager acted like I was begging for something. First let me make it clear. I am 48, retired 3 years ago. I moved to Richmond in 2001 with nothing and do not have to trade my time for your position. I strongly recommend this ignorant manager to at least have some manners. You need the customers more than we need you. Hope to see you filing for unemployment soon. Avoid contact with this person.
Worst customer service we ever experienced with this..we are leaving without our kitchen stove it’s been a month..they deliver damaged within 2wks and they took it back and I waited another 2 wks ..who does that to the customer….? At least they had to let us use until another come in…Best Buy has the best customer service when we order laundry dryer that came damaged as well but they let us use until they replace the good one..home depot people has no sense !!! Dumb people does the customer service!!they don’t know what customer is going through..worst worst worst!! Don’t order anything from this Home Depot!!iam still waiting to get the stove don’t know if still damage what should we do?? Can anyone from this depart help us and do the fast delivery ??
Incompetent customer service. I placed an order on the 9th and the email said to pick up by the 16th. Then more messages came via email and text message telling me to pick up my order before the 15th, which is earlier than the 7 days they claim is the window . I was going to pick up the order in the 14th, but that morning I received a text saying my order had been cancelled. I called the store. Lindsey at customer service was quite ignorant and apparently can’t do simple math, stating that it was cancelled because I didn’t pick it up by 7 days. When I asked her to fix it she said she couldn’t do anything. I’ll be driving the extra half mile to Lowes in the future because this ridiculous.
Ordered windows in May and still missing one window. I have been in this store three times and each time Manager makes a promise, takes my number and never hear anything. I have been charged full amount but no product.They used some third party that delivers and the delivery person left windows leaning on my garage door, damaging the door that needed to be replaced. Filed a claim, but nothing on that either.Very frustrating!4 months later and still nothing on this claim. Started in June 2020 and now it’s December 2020.
We asked Ben for help. He spent a great amount of time helping us find what we could not find or get help to find at Lowes. We really appreciated his help and his patience.
Dont buy your appliances from here. They sub out their installs to third parties who have no intention to fulfill the agreement that you pay for with Home Depot. They left my dishwasher in the box outside my house and would not tell me why they wouldnt install despite me paying for them to install it. The manager of the store himself told me sometimes they actually install it and said its been a problem for years. Customer service has been a huge pain to deal with, namely because theyve had my money since June for this service.
Store was nice. I use a scooter. The store has plenty of scooters. Because store uses stupid multiple entrance exit design, all the scooters were at the exit except for one with a broken wheel. It was an unpleasant shopping experience.
Service is average so use your app to find what you need. They have some knowledgeable staff that can help. Ask for them.
They need to stock the shelves more often and have a better arrangement of merchandise.

I wish I could give this Home Depot 0 stars. Merchandise doesnt have prices, when it does its wrong. There is a no one to help the customer and there are no checkout people--only self-scan. I will NEVER go back into this store. My miserable experience lasted an hour. I was crying when I left.

The people who work at the Intown W Broad Home Depot are far more helpful and knowledgeable than at the other unnamed large hardware store in town (and their products arent misplaced in the wrong locations like they are at that other store). The only comparison where HD falls short is their military discount doesnt extend to all veterans, only to active service members. I often go to the other place for the 10% discount they offer to ALL veterans.
Empty promises made by Stephanie at pro desk just cost me profit on the job. Do not make any purchases at this store. The price and discounts you are told will be honored, will not be. They do not follow thru. They just lie to get the sale.
My charge card was approved then was asked if I would like a Home Depot card. They asked for way too much info so I declined. Cashier had to ring up my purchases again and then my card was declined and have not been able to use my card anywhere since then. I reluctantly giving even one star. Do not open a card at Home Depot. It is a scam. Next step is BBB (better Business Bureau).Why would card be accepted and less than five minutes later be declined. I do not blame cashier just bad store policy.

Spacious and organized for a supply and DIY store. It does have everything. I found all my household items at a acceptable price with quick checkout.
Generally an ok experience. Very low on the inventory of the item we were looking for. We manage our expectations when shopping at this particular location. The staff was quite helpful and polite considering the lack of inventory.
I put in a curbside order for Green tomato cages and Kelloggs raised bed soil. I got an email saying my soil was out of stock all of a sudden even though when I went to order it it said they has over 400 in stock. Long story short, I went to pick up my tomato cages and they didnt give me my green ones, instead they gave me silver ones AND the soil was in stock, just in the parking lot storage area. I guess they were too lazy to make an extra $120. So instead I had to park and go in and buy the soil myself... very lame Home Depot! However, I will be back because Im brand loyal to my soil and Home Depot seems to be the only dim whits who have this soil in richmond so.....
Unlike a location of the other large home/hardware/garden business, this place had exactly the item I needed, which was as easy to find and reasonably priced.
Regular customer and want to keep using this store instead of Lowe’s, which is closer to my house. Over the past few months, customer service and cleanliness has tanked to almost non-existent. There doesn’t seem to be many employees available to help inside. Today, the parking lot was atrocious. Trash and debris of every variety from medical masks to candy wrappers to drink bottles to construction debris… Everything...literally the whole parking lot. Nobody wants to walk through a dumping ground to go pick up a few things for a project. This was the view from my vehicle, but this view was continuous from one end of the parking lot to the other. I don’t know if new management took over this store recently, but they better get it together.
Very bad visit. Selfcheckout ony took credit cards. So one cash line with a new employee behind the regigister. Meanwhile two other people showed up in my line cash only too. Needless to say it took 30 min to check out with a very empty store.well I gues I shouldnt have forgotten my debt card?????
I like this home Depot for quick trips. We refer to this as midtown, and its a little smaller than some of the other ones in town. One thing I dont care for about home Depot is that every store is laid out differently, so if I go to one in Ashland today and midtown tomorrow and the Westin the next day something is always in a different spot.But they have self-checkouts, nice helpful people, decent prices, good selection. Everything youd ever need.
Nice staff inside esp kitchen design and the cute girl in gardening outside (the one at register). The rest outside in garden were either pretending to work or part of cleaners..either way they were crazy rude esp to foreign people shopping there

My daughter had to take a poop at like 7 oclock in the morning but she said it was clean and smelled good in the bathroom(not so much when she was done) I feel sorry for whoever had to follow her in there. Not sure how such a little girl makes such a smell....must get that from her mother.
My one and only experience with this location resulted in 2 canceled orders in two days, website stock that didnt match inventory, and the locations inability to tell the difference between tall fescue and sun and shade.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was it was early spring on a Saturday and the store was packed! We were still able to get in and out in 20 minutes despite the chaos.

As I was walking in the front door I encountered this old guy who could tell me anywhere in the store I needed to be Define whatever I was looking for. As I was looking for more than one thing I ran into another guy on the plumbing Ill who do everything about Plumbing. It seems that the manager of this store has found the good customer service is an important asset

Were regular customers and will continue to be; however, this shopping trip was frustrating. We had a long list of items to get (all of which needed discussion & decisions on our part). We didnt really need help ... we needed to make the decisions which took some time. After about an hour, when we were discussing the last item, an employee took our cart. Apparently Home Depot has a rule that carts must be removed from the aisles. Even though we were only about 5 feet from our cart, your employee took our items back to be put back on the shelves. Long story short, it took another 15-20 minutes to find the items, and the employee who had taken them was not helpful at all. We were about ready to go buy everything at a different chain when we finally located the items. I understand not letting carts stay in an aisle long term; however, it was only there for about 5-10 minutes, we were a few feet from it, employee didnt ask if it was our cart before removing it, and once it was missing the employee acted more annoyed than helpful & didnt offer to take us to the location where she took it. All turned out OK, but not good a customer service experience.
Im doing a five because Logan was so nice, cordial and professional. Even though the gentleman in the department should have handled our transaction, she did it with a smile. Yes she was wearing a mask but whenever a person has a smile their eyes do a little squint. Lol. Logan had the squint. She even asked about our project. In the hustle and bustle of everything, sometimes it is a little gesture like hers that has long lasting effects. Also their prices are great!
Ive done several renovations with this Home Depot as my main supply. The staff is super helpful. At one point someone spent over an hour cutting and threading pipe for me. And he was happy doing it. The people at the paint desk are also noticeably more helpful than other places Ive been. I look forward to getting my home improvement supplies from this location.
Nice place. Staff always eager to help. Very rare are they out of what Im looking for. One business I havent had an issue, yet, with a stores mask protocol.

No so good. Cashiers need common since. It took a Manger to understand a simple exchange. I got wrong size blinds but didnt bring back hardware. Well just take hardware from new blinds to put with returned blinds. Same brand, color just half inch shorter. She didnt understand that the hardware was the same. Manager figured it out.. SMH.

They had ites in stock that were not in stock at other HDs in the area. Service was great.
I contracted the Home Depot to install my doors. After the door was installed I found out that the contractors will not complete the job. I called back to the Home Depot to see if they can send a different installer and found out that the only contract with one company. And that company refuses to do the entire install. If youre getting doors installed, be sure to make sure theyre going to do the entire install including the the door trim. The company that they use. Will not complete the job. I called the corporate number to find out why. The answer I got was they can do what they want. Home Depot does not stand behind their installer.

Saw them asking staff questions, but apparently they were not asked to wear masks or they ignored the request without reprecusion. They continued shopping unmasked. Just popped in to get a copy of my house key. I was greeted at the door I asked for help and was politely sent in the right direction. I didnt realize it but I had wandered in there like 20 minutes before close(sorry guys). I never felt rushed but it was fast and they had everything I needed to to separate my keys and I found a lockable D ring too! I will come back to this location from now on.

Up stock is very disorganized their scanner showed 3 in stock, we looked for about 35 minutes and found 0. Could this be because the Milwaukee back stock was about 12 different locations. Store manager needs some better organization skills.

Hard to find what you need and not enough employees to help customers
I ordered a weed trimmer two weeks ago. It was supposed to be ready for pickup yesterday. Online notifications don’t seem to occur as promised. I called and got put on hold 3 times! I had to re-explain why I called each time. I finally hung up after 25 minutes on hold. This makes me want to cancel my order and never shop at Home Depot again. (Postscript: when I finally reached someone, they were helpful to inform me that my trimmer would have to be reordered or I could get a refund. I took the refund.)
I buy all my stuff from here. Associates arent usually as helpful as they used to be but I get by
