This review is after 5 visits here.... Matt is great, Nick is great but after dealing with Ken twice, directly and indirectly, he lacks empathy, compassion, customer service and is flat out rude. He even had a salesman tell me to keep buying from another Ford (where I originally bought and got way better pricing) because my credit score wasnt up to what they want (720 or higher). I guess the 5 years with perfect payment history with 2 cars on Ford credit doesnt mean anything.

GREAT PLACE!My family were on vacation and so not in town for long. They got us in right away and worked so hard to find the problem with my car. They even took us to the store while we waited! And the staff was so helpful!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

3000 dollars later and I am stuck with a van leaking gas all over my property they dropped the tank 4 times it appears they used the same old hoses and grommets when I told them they didn’t care they can’t fix the issue with the van it still in the same condition if not worse a year and a half they just continued to charge me for parts not needed I’ve asked them to make it right with no luck hopefully tomorrow they will make the right and fair decision but after a year I won’t hold my breath

My girlfriend’s car was in the shop for nearly 6 months to get a part replaced that was under warranty. There was absolutely no communication the entire time and the technicians obviously don’t know what they are doing. Towed the car out of town to get the repair straightened out. We wanted to stay local and help out our community, but they’ve made it impossible. I would also highly recommend never doing business with this company, very unprofessional. It seemed like we were inconveniencing them, when all we wanted to do was check on the progress. I would give zero stars if I could.

An edit to my post below: I ended up making the decision today to have it towed elsewhere. That being said, I do appreciate Jose being friendly and helpful to the best of his ability throughout this stressful process. For big repairs, a different dealership may be better.Not very happy with my service. My vehicle has been in their shop since January 5th (it’s now May 4th...) for transmission issues. It’s almost impossible to get ahold of anyone there for an update. I’ve been more than patient but this is starting to get ridiculous. When I do contact someone, they take down my number to call me back “later today” but they never do and it’s pretty frustrating. I work and it’s been very difficult to get to work with no vehicle for four months.

Edit 2/26/21It was easy to make an appointment for repair and the waiting area was pleasant, with a TV, beverages, and snacks. We did have some concerns but management communicated and rectified them.

Horrible service center. They over book appointments, you wait all day for a phone call just to get one 8 hours after dropping it off ON A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TIME with attitude asking if youre going to ever pick up your car thats been ready for several hours but no one called prior. They also dont look in the system to see that you have coverage and try to charge you and argue when you say you do have it. Ill drive to Vegas for my warranty maintenance.

My daughter took her car in because of three safety recalls but before she was able to get in her car door opened (because of the door latch that was one of the safety recalls) while driving and she grabbed the door and the panel got damaged due to her fear that she was going to fall out. I took it in for her and told them that the door panel was damaged due to the fact that the latch on the doors literally breaks. They told us that they had to submit it and the next day they told her it was not covered and she was going to have to pay $600.00 for it to get fixed. I really feel that they are terrible and Ford will never get my business if they feel they can charge my daughter $600.00 due to damage that was cause because they used cheap defective latches. The only reason they got one star was due to the nice lady who assisted us in getting in but my daughter had to wait till the parts came in and unfortunately the latch broke before. I feel angry that they have feel no responsibility to fix the panel as it is now a safety problem too. EDITI have to say that the Manager did contact me about this reveiw and he did it very quickly. I had my daughter call him back and he FastTrack my daughters repair on the door. Nick Charlon really came through. and made it right. I have to say that makes me more inclined to use a company as it is not how good a company is when everything goes right it shows more when a company shows how they can react to when things are not perfect and my daughters door was fixed and it was so fast so I am very impressed with the way they reacted that shows that they care and work hard for their customers.

AVOID this sorry excuse for a dealership at all costs. This place has given me the worst experiences with a dealership on multiple occasions. I regret buying my truck from here.First experience was when I test drove the truck. The sun roof broke in the open position. Salesman says they will fix it before I buy it, I think ok cool, no problem. When we get back and inform Kenny of this, he looks me straight in the face and says, Im not fixing that. It could cost 2-3 thousand to fix it, so Im not going to fix it. (should have been my sign to get out of there asap)He says if I buy the extended warranty (which I planned on anyway) he would cover the $100 deductible. I figured, alright its getting fixed anyway. So, I bring it in a few weeks later when they said they had the part, ok cool. Nope, wrong part, still stuck open. I ask if they can just close it. They said they cant after having it for a full day and trying to close it. I watched one youtube video and it turns out it was 4 bolts and you can close it. took me 5 minutes. About a month later I bring the truck in for the third time and they finally fix it.The truck had a busted side mirror when I bought it, they said they had one on order to replace it already. Perfect. Bring it in for the first time with the sunroof issue too, they bought the wrong mirror. IT TOOK SIX MONTHS TO GET THE RIGHT MIRROR!After they fixed the sunroof they disconnected the microphone for bluetooth and told me it doesnt have anything to do with that but we will look at it anyways. They say they cant find any issues. Common sense would lead you to believe if you took the roof out, where the mic is, maybe you left it disconnected. Tried telling them that, they denied it being possible. Brought it in a SECOND time to fix the mic and oh, somehow they magically fixed it. I wonder what the issue could have been, maybe accidentally leaving it unplugged.Now the power back window broke. The mounting bracket for the cable broke and the regulator stopped working. I told them several times on the phone and in person that the bracket was also broken. Brought the truck in, they only ordered a regulator. 4 MONTHS LATER after I called them multiple times about it, it turns out they had the part for god knows how long and just forgot to call me. 3 weeks after that call, I finally bring it in. After being told it would be fixed under warranty, they realize the part on the window itself is broken, even though I told them that months ago. Turns out that part is not under the full bumper to bumper I bought when I bought the truck. So now I have a back window that is completely inoperable.I had always heard this place was garbage, but I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. Now if anyone is even considering buying a car or truck, I tell them about how terrible this place is and it is 1000% worth it to drive out of town to even just look at a car or truck. There is not a single reason anyone should ever buy anything from this terrible dealership.

I took my pick-up in to get the power steering pump replaced..They replaced it with one that was worse. They made exsuses and did not fix it, They thi k youll buy whtever they tell you.than the one I had. They claim they repkaced the one they instalked ut it still made noise

Preordered a Bronco, but when I wanted to cancel after multiple delays, they were extremely rude and unhelpful. Eventually had to charge back the deposit. It is impossible to get a hold of anyone at the dealer, awful customer service experience.

Great experience! I would definitely recommend buying a vehicle here. The exact vehicle I wanted wasn’t on the lot, so Brian searched around and found me exactly what I wanted (the very next day!) for a great price! He was able to answer all of my questions and granted all of my requests! Nick, Bob, and Rachelle were very helpful as well. The whole team is great, including the drivers who went to pick it up, and the guys who detailed it and made it sparkling clean :)

If I could write a review for 0 stars, I would. Worst customer service I have ever received. If you have the ability to take your car elsewhere, do! Unfortunately, I had to take my car here when it broke down on Labor Day. They had my car for almost a month. Took them 2 weeks just to pull it back to diagnose it. During that month I was in a cycle of calling, getting put on hold, hung up on, promised a call back, never happened; thus beginning the cycle again. When I did finally get a hold of someone I was belittled and given little information. They refused to provide a loaner/rental car during the time it took them to fix it. Fast forward a month after getting my transmission completely replaced and my car is having transmission issues again. Guess who is responsible but refusing to own up to it... Jim Charlon Ford. I did not post a review previously because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Now, after being without my car another 2 weeks because of their poor workmanship, Ive had enough. Trust me, take your car elsewhere! Any Joe Shmoe mechanic would be better than here, and cost less.

First time here. Not going to go back for any of our future service work.Dropped off our car at 8:10am today. My wife just picked up our 2014 Mustang from the service department around 4:50pm.We took it in for an oil change and tire rotation. They done a “multi point inspection” but didn’t reconnect one of our hoses that goes from the valve cover to the air filter. Good thing we checked. Have a picture...To top it off, their phones were not working and they were suppose to call to pick my wife up.Had a dear friend come and get her and take her to the dealer. The hood of the car was still open...wasn’t even done yet.We will drive all the way back to San Diego for service work before coming back here. Very disappointing...they were originally referred to us by dear friends of ours (the same who took my wife to get the car) who knows the owner and bought their cars from them.How disappointing...although the staff were all nice. We should have read the reviews here.

I really do try to support local business, but some of them make it very difficult. On three separate occasions in recent years, I have made an appointment at the Ridgecrest Ford dealer’s service department to have work done as a result of safety recalls or other required services. At the time of making the appointments, I emphasized the importance of ordering the necessary parts to allow the work to be accomplished at the appointed time. On all three of these instances, the Ford dealer failed to order the necessary parts, failed to notify me in advance of my appointment, and subsequently failed to accomplish the primary purpose of the appointments. It might be time to give up on them.

Bought a suv today and Bob was fantastic. He was very patient with my questioning and didnt push vehicles I wasnt interested in. I told him what I was looking for, took me right to it and gave me the walkthrough the vehicle. Explained all the paperwork. We talked about the town (since I just moved in). We have special needs kids and he was giving my husband additional information about programs, school, activites and centers. This was an awesome experience buying a car with Bob.

The car was scheduled 2 months ago in August. Its the middle of October, no car. Go into the mechanics shop to ask about the car middle of September, the mechanic is sick. Drive past the dealership everyday in the loaner that next week and the car didnt budge sitting in waiting outside. What was a fuel sensor is now an entire computer that needs replaced. It falls under warranty why wouldnt it be sitting there for months while they plug in 10 other customers.

Im new to the area, and was worried about getting around to everything. My credit isnt the best and I was worried of troubles. When I arrived at Jim Charlon Ford in Ridgecrest, I was taken care of. Everyone is friendly and genuinely trying to help. I definitely reccomend anyone new to the area and need a set of wheels to give this place a chance. I will be coming back to Brian for any future trade-in or a possible car for the wife.

Do not recommend. If you have to buy local, sit at a computer buy the car online from somewhere else and have it delivered. This place is a JOKE! Salesperson told us car had features on it that it does not, like performance package, Sirius and rear backup sensing. No the items are not on the window sticker but some items get hidden in trim packages. Sales person apparently did not know the differences in the vehicle trim packages and assumed that this vehicle had the options. Took the vehicle back 3 times only to be told sorry I must have misspoke and this is after he gets in the vehicle to show us how to use the missing feature. Also they are not honest with the numbers. I have a post it note written by Charlon himself with the agreed upon out the door price and it was changed on the contract which I did not catch prior to signing as the actual number was being covered during signing. I do take some blame for not paying close enough attention during signing, but with all the fast talking, folding and pointing going on it was hard to keep up. Even though we like the vehicle it is not the vehicle we were sold and thought we were getting. Use extreme caution when dealing with Charlon Ford. One star because it is the minimum I can select.Update 12/4/2017:The rip-off continues even a year and half later. During the negotiating Charlon kept pushing for us to get the Perma Plate and 7yr/100,000 mile warranty. I did not want these items especially the Perma Plate because I see it as snake oil rip-off which I told him. Charlon stated absolutely not we stand behind all products we sell, if you ever have a problem with the appearance bring it back and we will take care of it for you.Well on 12/01/2017 I called the dealer because the paint is chipped both sides of the vehicle. I was connected to the original sales person Bob and even though Monday 12/04/2017 was his day off he would meet me at 10:00 AM to see if it was something they could fix or would have to file a claim with Perma Plate. I arrived at dealer at 10:00 and no Bob, waited 15 minutes still no Bob. Charlon came out of office to see if anyone got in contact with Bob and the other sales people stated they left a message. Charlon decided to look at the car himself and stated that I would have to file a claim and handed me a pamphlet with the contact information for Perma Plate. I then stopped him and stated when I purchased this you stated I would only have to bring the vehicle back to you and you would make sure if was fix no hassle because you stand behind all products you sell. He stated he cant file it and that he had to go and walked away saying if you have problems let me know.I will never purchase another Ford or deal with this sales department again. When I purchased the vehicle I called Ford Corp. to inform them of the problems with the purchase and did not hear back from anyone. They sent a messages approximately a week later saying they tried to get additional information from me and that I did not respond so issue was closed.I will say that the service department at this dealer is really good and prices are outstanding for the services provided.

Rip off con artist. After buying a new truck, almost a year ago, they gave me the bums rush when signing the paperwork. Afterwards I realized they had not given me the $500 military discount promised and also they reduced the rebate by $500. The next day they came and picked up my truck for the detail and removed the 4 floor mats and the jack and never returned it. I had a trade in that they gave me less than blue book value for, waaaaaaaaay lessssssss. If you do business with these chuckelheads after reading this you deserve what you get.And, I have posted several reviews on their webiste in hopes of getting these issues resolved over the past 10 months and the reviews have been removed.
