Hazel Family Eyecare is a great place to get your eyes checked! There are two tests that cost extra, from my experience its totally worth it. In fact, it may have saved my sight. Because of those tests and the super smart doctors there, they found the very early signs of Glaucoma. Plus they have cool glasses.

I have been going to Hazel Family Eyecare for many years. They are a small clinic and very personable. Always practical and never overcharge or over sell anything. They do the things you need as a patient and give you your options. No pushy sales tactics. My 7 year old daughter is now a patient and she enjoyed how she was treated also. She’s a tough critic! I recommend them to anyone that wants to avoid big retail ophthalmologists.

I have astigmatism and saw no need to go for eye exams very often. I use reading glasses and they were adequate for my needs.I booked an appointment with Hazel Eyes Care because they were convenient and it was time for a check up.Hazel Eye Care offered a chance to have pictures taken of the inside of each eye where they could more precisely diagnose my eyes health.The pictures showed a plaque build up in the capillaries of my eyes.I went immediately to my regular doctor (who sucks) and got tested for cholesterol. I guess I did need stations to prevent stroke and blindness.If not for my doctor at Hazel Eye Care I never would have learned this.I trust Hazel Eye Care and am glad that I switched to their practice.

I had an emergency over the Christmas holiday. Hazel eye care fit me in that day to address my problem. The MD and staff were very compassionate. I never felt rushed and all of my questions answered.

Took many insurances, and was very patient with my 4 yr old. The Dr. was very nice and took the time to evaluate and explain things. I knew he would probably need glasses, they had a picture exam for younger kids which was helpful. I will definitely go back. Made an appointment 2 weeks in advance and specifically asked if it would be an issue if i brought my 7 month old with. I was told it would not be an issue. I also asked if it was gonna be a problem if he was clingy and wanted to sit in my lap during the exam. I was told absolutely no problem. I know my son, and when we are in a new environment he gets clingy. Well the night before my son didnt sleep at all so I was beyond exhausted and I know that could effect the correctness of my exam so I tried to reschedule. I was informed there is a reschedule fee so against my better judgment I went in since I didnt have the money to pay for a reschedule. When I got there everyone was polite on the surface. My son started crying for me almost immediately as I knew he would. They called me back to start and I went to go put him in my lap and they told me I couldnt have him in my lap during the exam. I put him down and he proceeded to scream louder and louder. I then concluded my exam and I was so tired I couldnt focus. I was sleep deprived and wanted to cry becuase my son is upset and I cant hold him. After the exam I fed my son so I could comfort him. Once he was calm I wanted to get frames and told them I wanted to do so. The receptionist told me I was good to go I asked her about frames and she told me to come back whenever. I distinctly got the impression I was not welcome. I will NEVER be back. I do the best I can with my son and I dont appreciate the sly rude undertone I received.UPDATE:I had my lens and frames filled elsewhere and when I got my new glasses the prescription was too strong for me. So I called hazel back and the gave me a rescan free of charge. This time I scheduled the appointment around a time that my husband could watch my son. It was like going to a completely new location. The staff was kind and thorough. I might go back. My take away from this? Dont bring kids here.

My family has had great experiences with Dr. Fowler and her team. In particular, when I had a medical emergency with my eye (Posterior Vitreous Detachment) over a holiday weekend and the office was closed, Dr. Fowler met me at her office and gave me great care. She reassured me that we could just “watch” my eye over the next few weeks and that no damage had been done to my eye. When the problem persisted, she sent me directly to a Georgia Retina doctor, to ensure that I was getting the care of a retina specialist. My eyes are fine now! I’m very grateful for Dr. Fowler’s commitment to her patients, including going the extra mile… with a smile!

I had a great experience at Hazel Family Eyecare. I called for an annual contact exam and had no trouble getting an appointment. The office is bright and airy and the exam room appeared to have the latest equipment and technology. Dr. Ajodha was super professional and explained each step of the exam process. It’s not easy finding an optometrist with an office staff you can trust your eyes to. But after visiting and working with Hazel Family Eyecare, I know I made the right choice.

Where to start. Dr. Fowler is great. She is extremely personable, seems to be very knowledgeable in her field, and goes well above and beyond what I am used to for an eye exam. Their staff is incredibly helpful and polite. Their location is really convenient (located right next door to a starbucks if you have someone driving you). And, at least in my case, their prices were the same if not better than what you will see at a big box store like Lens Crafters or Pearls... which is amazing given that they offer much better service and attention to their customers.They even had my glasses delivered to my home for no extra charge via a concierge service since I cant drive without them. I was absolutely blown away. I swear they make you feel like a rock star without charging you like one.Now their selection is a bit more limited than a big box store, but, even though I require more specialty sized frames due to my head size, in my experience this was not an issue; as they dont have a lot of filler models that are just there so they can advertise a lower starting price. (Every option I looked at seemed really well made and stylish and was reasonably priced.) The only other issue is that you cant do same day service unless you have an appointment before 12 because they dont cut the lenses on site. However, with their concierge service that is not really a big deal; as they send a trained tech to help check and adjust the fitment of your glasses in your home or office.And all of this from a locally owned an operated business.You really cant go wrong with Hazel Family Eyecare. If you are used to more traditional outlet locations and all that goes with that... you are seriously in for a treat :).
