We have bought three cars from Capitol and it’s always been great. Just got a Tacoma. The experience was low pressure and amazingly simple. We got a great price for our trade-in. They took care of all our credit union financing. Kristina was the best—very friendly and helpful. We bought a car from a different dealership in town last year, and it wasn’t the best experience. Next time we will just go to Capitol and make it simple on us. This dealership has a great vibe. You can tell they care about their employees and their customers. Keep up the good job guys!

I know cars are hard to come by at this time, but I found the exact new Toyota at Capitol. I traveled from Portland(after calling to see if it was in stock) to test drive it and buy it.To my surprise the salesperson said he would not sell it to me on the grounds I am from Portland and not a local customer. Never in my years of buying cars have I ever heard such nonsense at a dealership. He said that I would not be a repeat customer but someone local would be.Great way to sell cars I guess.

This place gave me the total runaround. They said they looked at my car issue when I took it in for a transmission flush and test drove it but clearly didn’t even check the issue because check engine light came on literally the next day. I called back, left 3 voicemails for three different technicians (they just kept rotating me around), and still never got a call back. I was extremely patient and said I really just needed to know if I could get my car back in this week since the issue didn’t get fixed the first time. You’d expect better treatment from a dealership but I highly recommend looking for a local mechanic before you give them a try. Extremely unprofessional.

Highly Recommended. My review is a couple months late, but Capitol Toyota deserves it. I’m leaving a positive review because the trade-in and sales experience was phenomenal. The staff at this dealership really do care about the customer. I’m currently serving in the military and they are definitely military friendly. They offered me too little for my Ram 1500 but also gave me a legitimate reason why. I know it isn’t easy trying to make money off of a trade in so I understood. They understood my situation though and raised their offer for my truck. They also helped me a lot getting my dream truck with the trade in and helped lower my payments. (If you have bad credit it’s going to be tough). If you are in the works for a Toyota or a used vehicle they definitely got your back. They are friendly people and a great dealership. Will be going back.

Had some communication issues getting service appointment set up, but... Once I got in there it was 5 stars all the way: service writer memorized my name, went over what I wanted with an estimate, had something come up he asked me about (didnt page me, but rather looked for me in the waiting room and addressed me by name), got that approved and it was a great experience. Welll be back.
Came this month to shop for a new Toyota, I wanted to trade-in my existing car. I worked with Billy and Carlos and want to thank them for the huge efforts, they made this transition smooth and easy! My compliments to both Phil (service department) and Juan (Sales). My brake light went out and Toyota fit me in on short notice as it was a safety issue. Phil was so professional and kind and they did a great job replacing not only the brake light but the housing itself which had a defect. Then, on pickup, Juan assisted me with some programming difficulties I had with my navigation system. It’s so great to have excellent customer service! Thanks!
Having another baby soon and needed a reliable car. This was my first time actually leasing a car and Scott made the process so easy, transparent, and enjoyable. Way to go Capitol Toyota hiring Ken Wilson for your service manager. I have in the past had the opportunity to deal with Ken at another car sales company and he made the difference. I trust him with any vehicle issues. He takes care of his customers. I havent had the opportunity to look for a vehicle there but knowing that you have the best service manager definitely persuades me to come and check out your selection knowing I will be taken care of.
Here I am again.... complaining about you again...I tried to do business with your dealership, but your salesman totally ghosted me. I am also a returning client to your dealership, but I guess that doesnt matter to you. Your salesman was pushing really hard for a car that i did not want.... after I told him several times which car I wanted... that I found at another dealership for cheaper.... he was not willing to match the price, which I get it but at least tell me about it instead of just ignoring my messages. I understand not being able to work with me but dont ignore me either. Customer loyalty or satisfaction doesnt matter at all.... for you guys it is just a piece of metal that you are selling but for me as a client this is the car that I want to keep for years and take my family on trips, and you are just thinking on what you have, and not what you client is bluntly telling you she wants. I also have screenshots of the conversations we have had over text messages where I am telling you this concerns and well they are just being blown off... I will never ever come to this dealership again... how are you still in business...maybe is because Im a minority who knows.

I have bought two cars here and have them serviced here exclusively. I have also referred three other people here to buy their cars. Everyone has been happy. Fantastic service department, awesome salespeople, and a great selection. The only knock I can give is about their referral program: they say they will give you $100 if someone you refer buys a car, but even after filling out contact forms and talking to folks, I have never seen a dime. Ill still send people here because it is a fantastic dealership, but itd be nice if they would keep their word on the referral reward.EDIT: Brian made good on his word, and I had a check in a few days. Hmmm, high dollar operation, had a big price difference between what was online and what was posted in the window. Car we test drove was not detailed (even though they said it was). Salesman was not very workable. Disappointing.

I first was impressed by there service department. I purchased a used Tacoma in 2019. They offered free services for about 2 years. Changing my oil ever other time. At 52,000 my extended service contract expired. So last Fri. before our vac. I choose to service my Toyota myself. To my amazement I found both drive axles to be low about 2/3rd of quart! ( 2.1 quarts are the recommended capacity). It did not appeared that the vehicle was thoroughly checked as indicated on the paper I received at each service. Its becoming risky to trust anyone when it involves honesty.
I’ve had my share of negative experiences with dealerships in the past. This was not the case at capital Toyota. I bought to vehicles yesterday and Joel was more than willing to help. Great experience and highly recommend.

I don’t think I can fully describe how refreshing my experience was recently purchasing my new to me vehicle. I upgraded from a Prius C to a Rav4 hybrid because my family has outgrown the small car lifestyle. About a week ago I made an appointment to come speak with someone about trading in my 2018 Rav4 for the newer model. As a single woman, I loathe car shopping as I always end up feeling pressured and taken advantage of. Not the case at Capitol Toyota because of Sam Pearcey! He immediately made me feel at ease and set me up with a test drive. Sam was very informative, funny and personable. Not once did I feel pressured to buy or lease. I was just able to explore my options all the while I was hanging with a new friend. While I didnt end up buying the new car at this time, Sam has secured my business in the future. I cant say enough good things about his professionalism and kindness. I look forward to a future test drive!
Drove all the way from Southern Oregon to look at a used truck they told me had no sign of pets, but once we opened the door we found dog hair all over. They would not give me a finalized interest rate over the phone, but told me they would have no problem finding me the same rate as my local credit union. Once they finally gave me the best rate they could find it was higher than what I was told. When we asked them if they would come down on the price they told us they are taking the truck to Auction tomorrow and will be getting more than what the truck was priced at... which was another lie. I will not be going back or recommending anyone.

I am sooooooo happy with my purchase. I bought my dream truck mid May and had accessories on order. The purchase process was a breeze, as well as working with the service department. My only reason for not having 5 stars is when I did need to communicate with the service department on pick up day it was nearly impossible to get ahold of someone. Overall it was a great experience.

Worker in the red shirt said it would only take an hour for my car to get fixed. It was no big deal until that one hour wait turned into three hours. I would have been more understanding if he was just up front about the wait time (& I would have ordered Uber Eats considering it was 12:30 and I just got off work. Being hangry didnt help the situation)

Customer service is good, but service is overpriced. I asked them to balance my tires with the rotation and it was going to be $65 more. Costco will rotate and balance for a total of $25, or free if you bought tires from them. How do wheel weights cost $65?!
Robert was super helpful. He shared with me that he had just recently started working there, basically two and a half weeks, I had asked that the used car that I was eyeing for it to be detailed. The backseat was very dirty and the previous sales person had told me that it had already been detailed. The next day, this is when I met Robert, he brought up the car again for me to look at it one more time, and I shared with him my concern about the car being dirty inside, he saw what I was seeing and rather than telling me that the car had already been detailed that they did the best they could, he went and spoke to the detailing person and got him to clean the back seat. What a difference this made. Yes the back seat still has stains, but it does look much better than what it did before. I really think that nobody had detailed it from the inside. Thank you Robert for all your help!

Maybe it was just a bad month, normally faster. 2 weeks to get an appointment for oil change. Took 2.5 hours. No apology, no explanation. The coffee was good
We went into check out the inventory and walked several lots that day and honestly didn’t want to have to get hounded again at another lot. One guy came out and told them that we were just going walk a couple of laps around and see what they had and if we needed some help we would ask for somebody. They actually didn’t come out and keep bugging. Very thankful and impressed. Found a car we wanted to check out and found Lee. (Great Kid BTW) very friendly and knowledgeable. Went to grab the keys and came out that with some one had just bought the car. Ok it happens. Not pushy, let us walk around some more and found another car with more discounts. We knew the dredged signing papers time was coming. Jonah was personable and easy going. It was an actual pleasure working with these two professionals. Highly recommend these two dudes when getting a car there. The name of the guy who comes talks price slips my mind, again very professional and easy going. No hard sells or pushyness. Over all a very relaxing car purchase and would definitely be going back to Capital Toyota.

Terrible customer service. Always 2-3 weeks out for service appointments and they don’t have any express service options. Even for a battery check or engine light check they don’t see without an appointment. I definitely don’t recommend buying a car or having service with them

This last Saturday my husband and I purchased a 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid at Capitol Toyota. I should first not that we chose the Capitol group because of the remarkable service we received at Capitol Chevy when I bought my Chevy Trax several months ago. We knew we wanted to trade in our 2016 Corolla on a new model. We knew we wanted another Corolla and we also knew that we wanted to purchase from the Capitol group if possible. After searching online, I had email exchanges with a number of folks at the dealership wherein I asked questions regarding the new models, financing, trade in values, power and warranty options. In the end the magician who put it all together for us Kristina Minahan. Every single person we dealt with was an absolute professional. Very efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and also just kind. Frankly, we live in Seal Rock and there is a Toyota dealership seven minutes from our house. We knew what we wanted and could have gotten it there but the Capitol group had been so good to us before and the people who I worked with online were such outstanding professionals who genuinely shared my concerns about value and timing, we chose to drive the four-hour round trip to Salem. Kristina really took great care of us. She walked me through options and was very patient with our schedule and availability. When we came out to Salem the entire facility was clean, all the employees were wearing masks, signs were duly posted and plenty of sanitizer was available. The dealership was practicing social distancing and we felt very safe. When we were completing the financing signatures in Kristine Ralstin’s office she had a Plexiglas shield on her desk providing another level of virus mitigation. The whole process took a couple of hours. It was essentially stress free, everything was clearly laid out and well explained. We love our Corolla and from here on out Kristina Minahan is absolutely our go to for our new Toyotas.

Pleasantly surprised! A number of years back I looked at cars here and was met by high-pressure sales and a negative impression, so I bought elsewhere. This time, I was happy to buy from Erik, who was knowledgeable, no pressure, and made the whole process painless. Jona in finance was excellent as well and that part of the transaction was speedy, clear, and transparent.
$500 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT? Sorry, but no. I dont even know what my trade in value would be when the vehicle arrives or what rebates were offered (if any). I clarified this with two different people, so yes - this is their policy.The wait is 2 months. Its not like a vehicle wont sell within a day or two of arrival if a buyer walks away from a bad deal. We know this because they admitted, these are selling fast, I would recommend putting a deposit down.Heres the thing - every other dealership I have contacted offers refundable deposits IF they do 1st right deposits on allocations. Youre just trying to milk buyers of extra cash.
Marcus did a wonderful job helping me choose the right vehicle, and even went above and beyond to have the color I wanted brought in from a dealership 200 miles away! I was nervous being a new buyer and not having dealt with a dealership before, but I felt like Marcus was honest with me and wanted me to be happy in the perfect vehicle. Everything from the test drive to financing was made easy and he answered my constant stream of questions to the best of his knowledge. The process was long (mostly due to my indecisiveness) and he was patient with me throughout it all. I would recommend Capitol Toyota to whoever is looking to buy a new car.
Worst dealership experience ever! I was told my car arrived earlier in the day and came by to pick it up with financing already in place. Should have been a one hour transaction but I was stuck there for four hours due to them dragging it out. People came and left and I was still stuck waiting. I should have taken a hint from the people who were getting fed up with the sales tactics and walking out. I even asked if the tire pressure had been reduced (standard practice) and was told it was. I wasn’t surprised to find out that was yet another lie when I got home and checked. After wasting hours of my time for no reason, they rushed me through the signing process and even turned off the lights before I could get out of there. Save yourself the frustration and time and go to Wilsonville Toyota like so many others are saying.
Very disappointed with the service at Capital Toyota. My Wife takes her 2000 4runner there for services and Im not sure if it because she a girl or not but they have told her things that need repairs that dont. Iv been a Harley Davidson mechanic in southern California 7 years. I prefer to take my vehicles to the dealer ship expecting the mechanics to do professional work and to have the proper knowledge to take care of my vehicle. Knowing Im going to pay a little more for that.About a year ago service told her the valve cover are leaking. Which was true and I knew that. So I decided to do it myself and save a little money. After I replaced them ( I cleaned valve covers in my own parts washer so they looked new) and the next oil change was due we took it there and they told her that they were leaking. Her not knowing what I replaced called me telling me that the valve covers are leaking. Knowing that sometimes replacing gasket doesnt mean that it stopped the leak. So when she got home I took a look. There was no leak. To this day they still recommend replacing them as if they dont even look.Couple weeks ago we took the vehicle there for a oil change, wipers, tire rotation and balance. They came back with some recommendations - rear drums shoes (rear Brakes) need to be replace and are almost metal to metal and need to be taken care of ASAP! The service writer told her. Once again getting a call from her relaying the massage to me. Being my wifes car Im not going to let her drive around with bad brake pads. so I went and bought the parts to replace them. (usually I dont even ask and have the dealership replace them. but sense I just had the axel seal replaced in California and they replace both drums and shoes due to oil contamination from the leaky seal. so I was weary about it.) so I removed the tire and pulled the drum off and found almost brand new pads I measure 6mm of pad left. the NEW set of pads have 7.2mm of pad. Then rereading the inspection the sheet they wrote- wear was down to 3mm. Which is still 41% left which is not even close to METAL TO METAL .(not knowing how much material is on a new shoe so I had not idea how close they really were.) All I can say is I dont recommend a dishonest shop that they said they inspected your vehicle and they havent .

Our car sales person is named Whisper. She was outstanding, awesome, and down to earth and very sweet.. She didnt pressure us into any type of vehicle. She asked what our financial situation was and what type of car we wanted. She totally took care of us. Brian our financial rep was absolutely outstanding, informative, and understanding. I had my Corolla repaired capitol Toyota’s mechanics had to tear my dashboard apart and in the process they damaged my glove box. When I picked up the car I didn’t notice the damage until I got home. Called capitol and the service person offered me a oil change in exchange for the damage done. Of course I went ballistic. Try to imagine how much that glove box cost. You think maybe more than $20 ? I contacted the service manager by email and NO reply.Recently had the service light come on in our highlander so of course I called to ask the service department what our car needed. I was told a oil change. Took the vehicle in and capitol rotated the tires and checked fluids....WITHOUT our permission of course. $25 later and I was not happy....not because of the cost but because they didn’t ask our permission.I have been buying Toyota vehicles ever since the American mades started getting cheap and producing junk. Now Toyota is getting cheap and they are producing junk now also. (The Corolla part that broke was part of the controlling mechanism for the heater/ac and cost $25 at the part store and was Toyota made. It cost me $1000 for capitol to install it).I guess I will try McMinnville now until they screw me too. Can’t really think about a new vehicle since a payment can be from $400 to $500. And if we did buy new in the future it won’t be a Toyota. And we WON’T be buying from capitol Toyota.And I recommend you don’t either.
We got to hang out with Chris and he helped us so much in buying our Tacoma. I highly recommend buying from not only capitol Toyota but working with Chris!He went the extra mile and helped us get all the information we needed as well drive our car home for us!The entire staff there was warm and welcoming- I told my husband i didnt realize we were there for so long becuase we were having such a nice time!

I really like the atmosphere and the service itself is good. The only issue that I had this last time going there which is one of the first times I’ve experienced this is that I reported that my car was acting a little strange and I feel like nobody tried to diagnose anything. They simply rotated my tires did my oil change and really didn’t talk to me the entire time. I feel like the whole experience was fine besides for the wait time. I had a schedule appointment at 2 o’clock and it almost took two hours for them to just do a simple oil change and rotate of tires which is kind of ridiculous. Again I would suggest any Toyota owner to go back to Toyota but it really irks me that I did not get any solution to the issue that I felt like I was having with my vehicle and still don’t know what is going on with it

I arrived at 7:30 for an oil change. The service advisor came to me a couple of times to report that they found additional issues with my vehicle during inspection. I approved to have the issues resolved and understood the associated costs. I did not think to ask about how long that would add to my wait time, nor was I informed. The service advisor did keep me posted on the progress and said that billing would notify me when my vehicle was ready. About 10:45, the service advisor told me it would be about another 20 minutes. About 11:55, I went to inquire about my car, and the service advisor was surprised to see me still waiting. As I approached to pay, the paperwork had just been completed. I really trust the work that has been done to keep my vehicle on the road, I just wish there was some sort of data system in place that when we receive texts, emails about our vehicle, there would be some mention about possible upcoming maintenance associated with the visit so that the owner can be prepared about those associated costs to be incurred along with better communication with the amount of time I had to wait. I really do appreciate the work that was completed on my vehicle.
When I bought my Camry I had 3.5% loan in place through CUDL & letter from my credit union. After car was bought & payments all set-up with credit union I received a Denial letter from Capitol Toyota. Really???? Very disappointed, changed my whole buying experience @ Capitol Toyota? love my Camry! They were very patient. I drove multiple cars, all safety precautions in place for our safety. Explained all accessories, set up my phone, helped with navigation also. Ismail was very polite and answered all of my questions. Thank you Capitol Toyota.
