The shop staff and front counter folks have always treated me nicely here and also with respect. You can probably beat these folks on price elsewhere, especially on tires, but for a one stop automobile service center, this is a really good place to consider if you live in the Salem area.

Ronald Matheus was extremely helpful in dealing my situation. We showed up less than 1 hour prior to closing on Saturday June 26 with a flat tire. The tire was brand new. Just purchased 5 days before. The tire was fine. They had to replace the stem. Was very surprised to have to pay only $24.82. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you!

I went to the Salem Goodyear to get a new set of tires. I got a great price on a set that was better than what I had on my car. It was amazing how much better my car rode and no more loud road noise. Thank you Troy and the guys who work there. I love my new tires!!

I was traveling in Virginia when the car started shaking. So, I headed to the nearest Goodyear and found a gem. Troy was not only helpful, but went out of his way to make my car roadworthy. After road testing and balancing the tires, Mark found that several hubcaps which had been attacked by various curbs were throwing the balance off. Obviously, they werent in the best condition so they were left off. Also the muffler heat cover was making noise and that was attached. Gracious with great patience. If I lived closer, they would be my go-to repair shop!

Stopped here while traveling after getting a nail in my tire. They were fantastic. Randy was very helpful and friendly. Mark was finished quickly and both had me ready to get back on the road in about 30 minutes. Thanks!!

After blowing out two 5th wheel camper tires on the interstate, we decided to replace the remaining two tires and the spare. We were just passing thru town, but Randy quickly found the tires we needed, RC mounted the tires and patiently answered our many questions, and Randy efficiently got us checked in and out. Being new to the area, I went in search of a reliable place for automotive care and struck gold at the Goodyear Auto Service place on West Main Street in Salem. The waiting area was super clean and set up to maintain safe distances. The men at the counter took time to explain each service result and to assure me the car was in great operating condition. I had service at the Salem Goodyear yesterday. I have been there several times with different vehicles over the past several years. I left yesterday thinking how pleased I have been every time I have gone there. The customer service/communication with the front (Ron) and the actual mechanical work has always exceeded my expectations.

This was my first experience with Goodyear and I will be coming back. They inspected my car for me. The inspection was quick and the service great. Everyone was very friendly and Troy, the store manager, was awesome.

Here is why felt compelled to positively review Goodyear Commercial Street shop...A classic example: Sunday night at 4:45 PM, our vehicle inherited a lug bolt in the front tire. I called them, moments before they closed and asked if they could assist with a late repair. They stayed open for us, checked to see if they could repair (vs trying to sell us a tire first), found a solution and had us out the door at 5:25 PM, long after their official hours. They were professional, courteous and accommodating. Done deal in my book. Thanks again!

I went in for a state inspection, was told I needed an oil change as well, in addition I was told two of my filters needed changing. I wasnt told how much it would cost, but agreed based on what I was shown. I was thinking all in all itd be about $70-80. I got to the register and was charged $128! The labor was more than the oil change and inspection combined. I was a little astounded, especially because I could have changed the filters myself minus the cost of the filters. I had a bad experience here over 10 years ago and thought I would give them a second try, what a horrible mistake on my part. I got roped into spending an extra $80 for something as simple as changing out air filters. Avoid this place, unless you go in to have something specific done, and nothing else, this place will rake you over the coals with a smile. Yikes!

Just moved from Florida and find out I need to inspect my vehicle. Someone recomend me Goodyear, so I checked online and say they open at 8:00am. Got there at 7:55am and found out they open at 7:30am. Waited almost 10 minutes to someone show up in the counter. Told the rep I need it an inspection and he said they are busy and would take 3 to 4 hours. So I decided to wait. Right now writing this review is 1:00pm(5 hours later) and still they havent grab my vehicle. They havent even had the courtesy of apologizing to me because is taking longer than is supposed too.😠

First and last time to use this place. I went yesterday for state inspection on my 2002 Camry, I just moved recently to Salem so I googled for inspection places and found this shop.First it took them an hour to inspect the car, then they were like “the left front headlight is loose, we gonna have to r eject it and if you want us to look at it it’ll cost 100$ labor to take off the bumper and may be you’ll need to replace the headlight if it’s broke or you can go to a body shop to fix it for you” I had to pay for inspection anyway and the replaced the old inspection sticker by a rejected one and took it to another shop which found only a loose clip and fixed for me for 25$, I was pretty sure my lights were fine when I brought the car for inspection. I just came back from a 10 hr driving trip and my lights weren’t shaking or anything on the road.The next day I came back again for re-inspection, I was told that they don’t need to do the whole inspection again, just the defected part. I had to wait another hour for a mechanic to look at the light that they claimed to be defected. Finally someone took the car inside the shop, checked the lights by applying a hand push to both sides of the headlight then called the shop manager to come check and he started doing the same pushes to the headlight several times. The way they were inspecting the light was not to check if everything is ok but to approve there is something wrong. I got scared that what they are doing would loosen the clip again and then they blame it on me again so I had to step in and notify the manager that the way they are checking the light is aggressive for an old car and I’m sure my lights were fine when I came for inspection and he replied “we have been inspecting cars for years, I suggest trying another shop next inspection bcse we didn’t break your headlights” then he started giving me hard time waiting, this light re-inspection process took them half hour to complete and then I had to wait for him another 15 mins just to give me a receipt and let me go even though I was the only customer waiting in the shop.Bottom line in my opinion, they made all of this scenario and gave me hard time inspection just bcse I’m a new customer and they don’t make money out of me, I was just there for an inspection and it won’t happen again!

Great service and thorough work. We were hitting the road for a roadtrip to visit some older family members. We caught a flat tire as we were leaving and we took it here first thing. They understood our circumstances and got us in and out very quickly. They even put cartoons on the TV for the kids! We will be back for sure!

Have had fine service before and everyone is nice but the website advertises appointments and the support agent on the website told me I would be able to get a state inspection appointment but I just... cant. they dont offer them once you get in and the waits are bad with only drop off service.

My brother bought a set thought was good but was a bad set of tires. 1 side wall blew out before 10k mes and 3 plugs in another.. No warranty.. Will not encourage people too buy good year tires. No support from customer service.

I just had an incredible experience at this store. They were busy and I had to wait a little while, but they took good care of me and my car. They have a new manager, Donnie, and he is awesome! Starting off the day with a tire issue is never a pleasant way to begin a day, but Donnie was friendly, accommodating, and honest. Spending part of my morning at Goodyear was not in my plans, but Donnie did what he could to make it as pleasant as possible.

Ron, the service manager, followed up to make sure the crew took good care of me, and he really seemed to want things to be perfect. It did not seem like he was just doing a task on his checklist--he seems to care that I am happy. I havent seen this level of customer care before...

They stay very busy. I had to wait two hours for my car to be inspected and have the tires rotated. Other than the wait, that they told me I would have the place is great. They have a vending machine, television, nice chairs, and some magazines for their waiting area. It is a very clean shop and the employees are very kind and friendly. Wouldnt want anything different.

Reviews are simply opinions and here is mine. I have been bringing vehicles to this shop for the last 15 years. I began coming here as it was convenient to the office I work in. Over the years due to moving this location became less convenient for me. I now travel approx. 40 miles to have this Goodyear location service my company car as well as my personal cars. I have always been treated fairly by the staff there. If something more was needed while I was in they were very helpful in suggesting solutions for me withoutbeing aggressive or demanding. These people do a great job and I will continue to bring my business here.

Goodyear in Salem is simply the only place to go for routine maintenance or repairs. They will NEVER guide you towards unnecessary repairs, and they are friendly, quick, and excellent at what they do! My entire family has been going there for years, and have not once been disappointed!!

Apparently the sales staff is paid on commission. I took a vehicle for state inspection. It was rejected for a legit reason, brake pads. They told me that I needed rotors and drums. I had them reject it and I did the work myself. The rotors and drums were perfectly fine - and passed the re-inspection at Goodyear. I will never go back to their shop again. They are completely dishonest. This isnt the first issue Ive had with them.

Went there for brakes on my wifes 4runner. Within 15,000 miles both front rotors were ruined. When I called about warranty for it I got laughed at. Went in to see them about this and yes I was upset. But I was never rude, didnt cuss, didnt yell. But was told to leave. I guess the manager didnt like me saying something bad while 2 other customers were there. When I called back up to ask for a supervisor I asked 3 times and they wouldnt give me the info and just kept telling how wrong I was for being upset. Remember this is because my wife was driving around on bad brakes.Do not go there! I will never return. And thats sad because I work for Direct TV and they were doing all my services.

On September 30, 2018 I went to have my car inspected and my tires rotated. Everyone was polite and professional and work was done in a timely manner. However, after I left and returned home I realized they did not reset my tpms. The reason I know this is because the light was on on the left front tire. No problem they went around and calibrated them. I asked why they did not reset them. I was told you have to ask for them to do that. I responded to them saying isnt it mandatory for all cars after a certain year? No response to that.Get in my car go home, TPMS is on again but not on the tire it should be if they were rotated properly. It was on, on the right front tire when it should have been on the back no matter what pattern they rotated them, so they didnt rotate them correctly. I decided not to take my car back as I was afraid of what theyd do next. Im going to let corporate know about this problem. Not saying they arent knowledgeable but apparently they arent when rotating tires. They did a good job on inspection but I will be calling corporate about the rotation problem. I didnt get what I paid for.

Went there to get an inspection sticker. Some of the guys are great and very helpful, however some of the guys are not and need to have some classes on people skills. I think maybe its because hes older man and was just having a bad day!

Loved my overall experience with them ! Everyone was wonderful Randy and chad were both very awesome in handling my vehicle needs. As well as the installers they work fast, had my car aligned, tires put on, check and inspected in under 2 hours. The only downfall was the scheduling online part is not as accurate and I would like for it to be. Not sure if that’s something they can control or if corporate handles the website... either way, they called me immediately letting me know that did not work for their schedule, changed it to fit both of our schedules, the first time I went it was a nightmare did not have the wheel lock that takes the bolts off (drive a VW) so I couldn’t get it done, dealership never gave me one (bought it used) called back a week later when my part came in and they got me on the schedule the same day I called, might of been my luck but they work hard to ensure their customers are happy, you can’t satisfy everyone but this customer sure will be coming back!!!! To start...Keep reading even if you get bored, it makes sense in the end.I went in for an alignment. I was told rather quickly they couldn’t line it up because my driver side wheel bearing was bad.They quoted me just shy of $600 to replace it.I declined and stated I would come back for an alignment after I replaced it.They manager probably said the word credit card 100 times trying to get me to get the work done. I declined.I left and bought a hub and installed it. A few hours of my time and about $250 later I’m good.I notice my outer tie rod was shot so I decided to order both sides and throw them on before I went back. Well I then noticed I need tires, so now I opt to get the credit card and drop $800 on tires.I make the appointment and also ask them to align it while its in the shop.They get it on the lift and the SAME guy as before says, your new hub is bad it has play.I think to myself, well poor luck I got a bad one. Had it replaced under warranty and spend the time under the car AGAIN replacing it.It was never the hub, upper control arm, $58 dollarsNow I’m out $250 and several evenings.I’m going to contact tomorrow about at minimum getting a free alignment. I’ll update once I’ve had a chance to see how they handle this.

Poor service!Booked an online 9am appointment that was available according to the website. When I arrived 10 minutes early for a simple tire plug job was told that I would have to be worked in and it could be a two hour wait until they could get to my truck. Why offer online appointment services if you cant fulfill the appointments on schedule? I will not re turn as there are too many other options in the area to have repairs performed on my 4 cars. Not a good experience at all!By the way Speedee took me right in and fixed my tire in 10 minutes with no appointment. Perhaps you can learn from your competition.

I had the worst experience Ive ever had at this location. I scheduled an apt to have 2 vehicles serviced. Three hours after my scheduled time neither vehicle had been serviced and to top it off they wanted me to to go to the store to buy oil to put in my vehicle because they said it was too low to service. Made nonsense to me why I need to buy oil to have my oil changed at the business I came to to have my oil changed. At the end of the day I left without having either car serviced and went elsewhere and had my vehicles serviced without an appointment and without having to put oil in it. I didnt even have to wait hours for them to do it. I will never return to this location. Poorly managed..

They tried to scare my mother-in-law into buying a lot of things for her car that she did not need. they claim that it came up on the computer and I put the car on the computer and the stuff did not come up. When I tried to tell the manager about it he did not want to hear it.

Used this store plenty of times and its always up and down customer service or some reason why they cant patch a tire.1st issue I have is that the customer service is always OK. They are never really are happy to see you and they never really tell you thank you for choosing them. Came by yesterday to get a tire looked at and if it could be patched. Ron was the man who came out and before I could even finish my sentence on if we could do it now or after my work he made sure to tell me he was hours behind. I was like OK well here is my tire and there is the screw...can you fix it? and before I was done again he was saying couldnt do it. Told me that it was too close to the side and that the curve in the tire the patch wouldnt hold. (Screw was 1.5 in from the side wall). Said if i didnt want to buy a new tire I could get a patch kit from Walmart and Hope it works...thought well that sounded like you were really concerned...Overall their service is a 2 IMO2nd issue is there area on where they can patch tires...it has changed at least 3-4 times I have taken it to them. 1st one got denied, 2nd one made sure it was in the tread before I asked and it was fixed. 3rd one fixed (made sure it was in the tread), 4th one (yesterday) denied even though in the tread.In the end Im going to work on finding someone else to patch my tires and give me new ones. This place has never been fast, customer service not worth my money, and cant trust their expertise.

Surprised that there are positive reviews associated to this business. I imagine that they are paid reviews posted by friends of the owner.Because this place is close, I have taken several of my cars there for a number of years, but no more. Never have i taken a car there that didnt need expensive repairs. Take it there for an inspection, expect to come away with at least a $500-1000 repair. In one instance, I told them I wanted them to notify me of any repairs needed after initial inspection. They did, which prompted me to pick up the car and take it to another mechanic. He then told me that those repairs were unnecessary.

I WOULDNOT recommend this place, I bought my bmw 335i in to replace my stock 17 with 19 tires, had them put all 4 on, and do an alignment. I trusted them to do it right since they are a specialize tires place. After a year my tires went out because of bad alignment!! I look at my receipt and saw they use 17 specification to align my 19.I would expect better and prompt to attention and details from such a place.

I was just in this store the other day to get tires on a car I recently bought. First of all, I was quoted exactly what I seen online the night I scheduled the appointment. No pressure, no upsale. They explained they would get the car in tires on and back out quickly--I could just wait for a phone call. I bought the TripleTred Assurance All season tires, and I am incredibly happy. I even inspected afterwords; trust me, I will be going back to this autoshop. Keep up the honest, good work.

Where do I start, had to go here to get a kelly tire replaced under warranty (bulge in it). Replacement tire never held air so i dealt with it for a while . Went there last week to get it taken care of and they said it would be at least an hour before they could look at it. They had a few guests in waiting area however when I pulled up I saw one car in a bay and about 5-6 techs standing around it. I had called a week earlier and the guy on the phone just assumed it has a nail in it . Needless to say I didnt have an hour to wait and I had looked the tire over and nothing was in it . Took it up the street to merchants and they found the tire wasnt sealed on the bead correctly and they broke the seal when putting on wheel weight. So now I am out $30 for something they didnt do correctly . This place is busy and management acts like they dont have a clue .Merchants got me in and out in 15 minutes.

I dont know the issue here. Ive had maintenance issues like oil changes and safety inspections done, Ive had them tow me and fix a tire, everytime the cost is much below expected price and theyve done a great job. Ive got a jeep patriot and a toyota corolla with 80,000k and 170,000k miles respectively. id reccomend.
