UPDATE:Talked with Rolando at UAS about the situation. They quickly had me bring the truck up to them and get it inspected by mechanics free of charge and even gave me a loaner car for this whole duration. They informed me they were replacing the engine totally for free with no out of pocket expenses for me.Totally didnt expect this much integrity from a dealership. They care about their customer and their actions proved it.___________________Just kidding on the great deal for the truckSold me a lemon with an engine that’s going to explode (found out after only two weeks of owning it) and refuses to cover the cost of the repair.

A breath of fresh air in comparison to the other used car lots. They listened to my needs and I was quite impressed they had multiple Toyota Highlanders to choose from. I didnt need to shop around town with the options they had in inventory. I also didnt have to step foot into DMV or my credit union because they are linked directly to them. The Highlander that I bought was located at the fairgrounds location but they were able to bring it to 12th Street for me to purchase the closer to home. There are a couple of people that are nice there. But I had an issue with my vehicle that I traded into them was never taken out of my name and years later I have a police officer at my door with paper to serve me because the vehicle was involved in an troubling manner and then abandoned. Still trying to get it off my record.... And the car I traded my van in for died and never ran again after 4 months of purchasing it.

Rolando is very unprofessional and disrespectful. He asked if there was anything to do to change my review. I expressed my concerns about being pressured into a higher down payment than I could afford and not having work done on the car that I felt should have been done. He proceeded to insult me and tell me that I was trying to renegotiate a deal after I had paid the money I agreed to. I do not recommend this business and I have definitely learned from this experience of what not to do next time I purchase a car.

Great service but the cars dont meet required expectations I bought my 2016 chystler from here and it had problems before I even got out of town... the engine light came on and went away now not even 1 month after i bought it the engine now has a misfire from code p0302

Have had nothing but issues was told they would replace my windshield befor buying even put it in the contract. They sent me to a chop shop that did a hack job and got glue all over my car then sent me somewhere else said they would cover the cost they wont awnser the phones or get back to me. I had a wonderful experience at Universal Auto! I have bad credit so I wasnt expecting to get the nicest car. I left with the nicest and newest car! My only issue was the driver side headlight being out but theu said they would take of it so it was a huge relief to not have to worry about that. Very helpful and friendly service. Rolando was very responsive with all inquiries prior to my arrival at the dealership. It was a 1.5hr drive for me to get to them and Rolando did everything he could to help get things where they needed to be in order for me to drive home in my new vehicle. Strongly recommend the folks at Universal auto sales.EDIT: nothing has changed with my experience while at the dealership with Rolando. He was great. HORRIBLE service after the sale. Getting someone on the phone is impossible and when you do, they just tell you that someone will be calling you back. Which never happens. I was told by my salesman that my license plates and stickers would be mailed to my address in Veneta. As stated in previous review, an hour and a half drive away. I got a letter from them stating that my plates are in at the dealership and i need to come pick them up. Not what i was told but thats OK, stuff happens. When i call up there i cannot get a call back. finally get a woman on the phone that tells me plates are supposed to be mailed to customer and not to dealership and that she would forward to the title clerk to get it handled, and i should be expecting a call back. Multiple phone calls and voice mail later i have to go through two people who tell me that they will have someone call me back. Like hell im getting off the phone when it took me this long to get someone on there! After insisting on speaking with management, my address was taken by the Assistant Manager Edgar. He told me that the plates would ship out Monday because they would have to wait for the guy that does that sort of thing to come in. I asked to be notified with confirmation when they ship. He told me to call back on Monday. You have got to be kidding me...... I am not playing this game again. I offered my email and phone number and he got combative. Kept interrupting me asking who my salesman was, its not their policy to ship plates to customers. Wouldnt let me speak when i was trying to tell him that two people who work there told me my plates would ship to my address. This last experience with them tells me that they are not interested in repeat business and have no intention on providing any service after the sale. Thats what i get for dealing with a cut-rate dealership.

My first time car shopping. I’ve had this car 5 months now from them. They told me everything was good to go on warranty and service. Got half way to Albany before I noticed it over heated. They put it in the shop and gave me a loaner car for about a week in November and then now just about a month and a half ago I am having problems with my car and refuses to fix my tire that has been bald and wires coming out since I got it along with some mist in my rear light and now there’s grinding under my front driver wheel and my front passenger wheel is flat. I have contacted the guy that has sold me the car multiple times to get my car in their shop and get a replacement until I get my car fixed but I am being refused as I’ve now never bought the warranty but have a lump sum of my payments going to a service contract that they refuse to do as none of my problems now go with their contract. I am very upset about this and if you are going to go buy a car go to a new car dealer ship and not used. I need a reliable family vehicle as I have kids under 3 years old. This is definitely not okay. I am still in the middle of getting this somewhat fixed. Thanks.

My husband and I went car shopping today and had a positive, educational experience. They let us look under the hood, we test drove three different cars, and we sat down and talked about how we can afford the car. They work very well with their customers. We are definitely going to go back!
