I m not very savvy with learning everything about a new cell phone. Probably because Im in my 70s. All the staff at Verizon has always graciously helped me with my questions.
I called 611 in the a.m. representative said no need for an appointment they were slow. Went into there store salesman at the door said it was by appointment only they were short handed. Meanwhile two additional employees came in. He informed us that an appointment would be there in 5 min. He told he would not show us the phone we were interested in because it wasnt out front. We asked if we could look around feeling very unwelcome and shoved out the door he replied go ahead. Dont waste your time. Minus 5

Terrible service! We are new to Oregon and had our phone numbers switched online. Unfortunately this created a problem with my husbands sim card that required we visit a corporate store. The woman at the front desk, Sierra, was very confrontational because I was taking too long to put on the mask offered. While I appreciate certain stores are still requiring a mask, I was unprepared as the mask mandate in Oregon has ended. I dont know why she was in a reactive state but I was putting the mask on willingly with no argument. She was just rude. My husband had a similar experience with the actual sales person in the back. I believe his name was Justin or Jason. My husband extended his arm with the phone in his hand and stated that his phone was not working. The sales rep got very confrontational and stated that he would not serve my husband because he was throwing the phone at him. My husband, who tends to be passive, stated, the phone is here in my hand and my arm is extended. There is no throwing going on here, are you going to help me or not? Eventually, he got the minimal amount of service required to get his phone operational again. What the people in this store need to know is that consumers have multiple options and do not have to tolerate hostile service. We WERE going to upgrade my husbands phone at this visit and the sales rep could have gotten credit for a sale had he had a better attitude. Instead, we are considering terminating our relationship with Verizon.
I am a long time Verizon customer and when my old phone I was thinking of changing carriers. I went into this store and was helped by Allyssa. She is the most wonderful caring person and was extremely helpful. She helped me get through a list of problems, remembered me on subsequent visits, and I am extremely pleases. I ended up with a better phone and a better plan! Thank you Allyssa and team!!!
I switched carriers in November for the special rates online. I’ve now been dealing with promises that have not been made. I’ve been Lied to and hung up on. All I’ve been trying to do is receive my 400$ gifts card that was promised to go into my account instead of the gift card. I’ve been in the store I’ve spoke to countless reps a handful of mangers and nobody can seem to get the job done. This is been the most stressful experience since day 1. It’s so easy to take my money monthly but when it’s time to fulfill promises its impossible. I’ve spent hours of my time saying the same thing over and over again. Where is the person in charge who can actually do something?! This situation has been ongoing since November and I can’t even switch to another company comfortably or else I lose my trade in.
I just left this store with my family and we are all very pleased with the service we received. Sierra was a huge help (and very patient with our 3 year old).We loved the service and people at this location, and will come back for sure in the future.

I have been with Verizon for 23 years. I have never had such good customer service from a man named Troy.. I have been going back to this store many times just because of him.. Employee was not interesed in setting up upgraded device. asked to use cable to transfer pictures and contacts as old phone did not have working screen, was told new phone does not do that. when started new phone it asked to cable to the old phone to transfer files. Will not be going back to this store
During my visit here, I interacted with an individual named Troy. Through the course of our interactions, Troy was extremely unpleasant and rude. He was impatient and unwilling to listen to me when I tried to explain my circumstance. He also kept trying to talk over me before I could fully explain myself. It was so unbearable that I simply walked out of the store. Troy ruined my experience at this location and I will NEVER return. In fact, I will be reaching out to friends and family so they can avoid this place. For those looking for help from a Verizon store, I would avoid this place at all costs. I love Verizon, but this store will never get my business.
Not pleased at all. Eager to sell me the top of my line of phone without any explanations. I am 74 years old and relatively IT savvy, having worked with IT systems integration and architecture. However, there is nothing customer friendly or intuitive and I have been spending countless hours trying to familiarize myself with my new phone. Staff also was unaware of the medical app which permits outsiders to access important medical information when not having access to the phone. There used to be a Verizon branch closer by and those folks were always very customer friendly and professional. Not so at this site.
This is the worst Verizon store ever, the costumer service( all stuff ) is really really. I have paid cash for one an item that I purchased and returned it but until i havent seen my money back. Nobody should by anything from this store.because of you RUDENESS Im going to canceled my service with Verizon!.

Stopped in to remedy a problem on my phone. Associate was very helpful in assisting, but was unable to figure out what was going on. Suggested replacing the device. Not the fix I was looking for. Sooner or later I will find a Verizon location that will figure out why this device is acting up.

Poor customer service at the store in Salem specifically. And just poor customer service from the company in general. But not like anyone at corporate will ever care. They havent cared for twenty years now. They know that people will keep buying their plans because of reputation of having a good coverage. Nobody ever answers the phone at this store. I was told that I must sign in to my Verizon account if I wanted to simply use cash. Then they watched me enter my PIN when I used the card. Very unprofessional overall. I was not offered a receipt until I asked and yet all returns must have one. And the rep didnt even know that Verizon phones have buttons in different locations than the same model from other carriers and so cases are different. What a joke. They really should be ashamed of their incompetency.
On Weds 120220 I met with Deborah Lebold. After 3/5 hrs plus of frustration over the phone & online, she was able to solve all my questions re billing concerns/payments & helped me to plan on future upgrages. If I could give her a rating of 10+ I would for her excellent, supportive & efficient customer service. Yeah, Deborah!

Tried to call store to talk to ore manager to order new iPhone 12 with max memories. Endless voice mail and no option to speak to a live person. I have two unlimited data lines there and think I’ll shop another carrier.I find your answer somewhat amusing and a good example of what I call corporate speak. Nod at the problem and try to pass it on. There would be no need for escalation if you simply would answer the phone.I used to train managers before I retired and the one thing i always stressed is“The only problem that goes away if you ignore it is a customer “. Escalate that.

We went to the store tonight for one simple thing: to get two SIM cards so we can COME BACK to Verizon. That wasn’t in the cards because Troy told us he couldn’t help us. It’s really sad when the representative of the company you’re trying to give your business to declines it. Troy told us to come back another day and created a whole fictitious story about how SIM card purchases work instead of assisting us. As an industry expert myself, I am incredibly disappointed in the (lack of) service received by Troy. Hands. Down. I see a pattern in the reviews with Troy “No sale profit for me no customer service for you”.Update 10-22-2020 after response from owner.Thanks. This seems very generic and does not do anything to solve the issue. It seems like, especially based on the multiple comments about the same associate for the same thing, that managers don’t care much because I’m sure he’s meetin sales goals. Make an actual effort folks. Come on.

We had an iPhone bite the dust during the early stage of the stay at home order. Chris Buol bent over backwards to get a new phone sent to our home swiftly. He also fielded at least 3 different calls from us to navigate some user error issues to swap out the phones. He went up and beyond, was so patient with our limited tech abilities and ensured we were off and running with a new phone in a single day. I’ve always appreciated the customer service at this store and Chris surpassed our expectations.

We went to the Verizon store to purchase a good charging cable. Because of COVID-19 they wouldnt let us in the store to pick out our purchase, and said we needed to buy on line, which we did. We received the item today, but it is the wrong size. We went on line again to see where we made the mistake (they told us we ordered the wrong item), but the website says we ordered the correct item for the phone. The website is wrong. So Verizon told us to go to the store to exchange for the correct item, except there is a 50$ restocking charge since we opened the package even though the item is less than 20$. They wont refund or exchange or send us a shipping label via the mail. If they wont exchange it or try to charge us restocking at the Verizon store, we are going to Walmart!
Ordered a phone via phone sales and came here to pick it up. I arrived just as I finished the purchase, and the sales then told me that they have up to 2 hours to finish my phone for pickup. I decided to ask them if they could expedite it, but they had it finished it already! 👍
They get the job done but are less than enthusiastic. It took me three weeks 4 phone calls and a visit to a local store to get my new phone working. I guess I expected better customer service for the price Im paying for service, not to mention a customer for 20 years....

Apparently this is the only remaining ‘Official’ Verizon store in the State Capitol. It’s tucked away in the backside of a local strip mall (off the Winco parking lot if that helps) which makes it tricky to find. Once you get there however, you’ll find a spacious modern store layout and friendly knowledgeable staff. After a lengthy and unsuccessful online attempt to do something slightly unusual, the store staff took care of it quickly, correctly and without even blinking at my oddball request. Verizon still has the best service if you travel widely, IMO, and with local support this good, I’ll think hard before I switch - if I ever do.

I had gotten a total of 4 new phones for my plan but wanted specific numbers on specific phones and had it all messed up. When I came in not only did the associate mane it hassel free to do this, she lowered my insurance on my phone plan by $22 a month. She also was able to get me phone cases by charging my bill which was nice considering i needed them right away and I had no cash.

I felt like I wasnt very valued when I walked in to try and look into their military plan.Ive been with tmobile for almost 4 years. Was gonna change to Verizon because I had heard that their military plans were better.But I felt rushed and like the customer service rep didnt want to take the time.
Its unfortunate but the last two times I visited this location was a disaster. First time, multiple errors were made on our business account. This time (Today) The gentlemen was more interested in making a sale than to help me with our account issues. Hour #3 and im on the phone on hold with Verizon with a lady that sounds like she cares and will fix the issues.. AT&T is looking mighty sweet nowadays

They wait at the front door and even open it for you. Very helpful and assisted me when there was an issue transferring carriers. I will be returning since I prefer to do business in person rather than over the phone or through an app.

I traded in a phone off an account with another company. The soon to be wife did the same thing. We opened a joint account. We werent informed of the extra fees. The pay off for my phone from another company is lost in limbo months later. Im getting collection notices from the other company who is wanting their pay off. So, to protect my credit Im paying out of my pocket.The T-Mobile commercials are 100% accurate as to Verizon having hidden fees. The customer service keeps putting me off saying sorry. If I had the option Id give them the phones back and go to any other company but of course my only option is to pay hundreds of dollars to cancel lines of service.Im beyond shocked with the lack of professionalism or concern the employees display. Its very sad that I mad such a big mistake as to take my business to Verizon.

I went in Friday the 3rd to look into getting a new plan ( was with another company and wanted better) I was met at the door and got checked in my lucas, he gave me the prices for the line then asked Troy to help with the set up. Troy was beyond helpful and made the whole process super easy and painless. I got a new phone and he help me find the right one for my sons first phone. I will for sure be going back in with anything else I need. Great customer service and after I shopped around you guys had the best hands down!
Kinda disappointed, I wanted to buy a case, asked to check my account for the discount and got a scuffed, checked Amazon and found the same case 40 dollars cheaper, anyways. I wish I felt welcome. I have never had a issue before, not sure if the guy I was talking to was having a bad day. Im switching to a different carrier next week.
Always great service from the staff at this location. As far as the company goes, Verizon has wonderful cell/data service! They are behind the times with no rollover data, still charging existing customers activation charges on upgrades, and overpriced accessories.That being said, Id still recommend them.Update.... Now unlimited data!

Went there to go get a in USB to C chord. They had many options to choose from and different colors if that matters. The price was okay for what I got and all in all I was very happy with the customer service I walked in I was able to address Somebody almost immediately and they were quick to address me as well.

This Verizon rocks! I was quite distressed, traveling from Central Oregon and my phone ran out of battery. I cant remember the gentlemans name, but he wore glasses and quickly came to my aid. I have a Google Pixel, which requires a c-c charger. He had the perfect option with an adapter so I could get my phone charged up quickly and continue on my drive.Everyone here had smiles on their faces, were very courteous and although there were multiple customers in the store, my wait time wasnt very long.I was very impressed!
So, I have tried several services. At&t, Sprint, T-Mobile (wayyy back in the day) and Verizon. I have left Verizon, thinking I will find their level of service elsewhere for cheaper. Nope. Just nope. Hasnt happened. Any problems I ever have are handled promptly. The staff at Verizon have always gone above and beyond. I am done switching.
The customer service I received yesterday when I tried to go into the store was awful! The lady came out to my car as customers are not allowed in the store.Cash is no longer accepted as a form of payment! They require you to go through a third party company if you wish to pay with cash. Otherwise you can go online or over the phone for a payment, but the actual store for customers is useless!
Went in there because I bought a phone I wanted to see if it was unlocked and the front door person blatantly lied to me and said I cant without activating service. Might want to make sure the person youre helping has never worked in the cell phone industry before lying to their face. After explaining to him how he can, he told me he refused to do so unless I activated service. So now instead of giving it to my sister for her to activate service Im just going to activate her on t mobile since I know it works there. Good to see you guys are working so hard to dethrone yourselves as top provider!
This is a bright and shiny new store in south Salem. Compared to the other Verizon stores in town, this one is crammed to the gills with phones, tablets, wearables... Its a little overwhelming the number of cool gadgets you can get in one location.However, a recent trip here was a bust when they were sold out of the device I was looking for. Ended up buying downtown at ANOTHER Verizon store.

This is the only Verizon ill go to. I usually always go into a place when I need something or am having trouble in general so everytime ive gone into here to make a pre-purchase a new phone or am having an issue, it always gets taken care or and resolved by the team here. This store in my book is the #1 Verizon store. Thanks again to the team here.

Service was ok. As far as getn the help i needed to fix my issue. Well thats a absolute zero. The person there that sold me the phone screwed me. I asked for insurance on the phone the day i was there to pick it up. He says he never heard me say anything. So thanks to him im stuck with a 1000 dollar phone that got lost. And i cant even take the guy to small claims court. Ya i wont ever go back to that store ever. And yes i will tell many many many people very much of my bad experience with this sale person and how i was screwed for a 1000 bucks. Thanks Verizon for letn your people screwed over your customers.
Went there becauss there was a fraudulent chare to my credit card from Verizon. Their response, Not our problem. I suggested their security needed improving and their response, Thats just retail. Staff rude and sarcastic. Been a customer for decades. Time to rethink that.

I hate dealing with tech problems especially with my cell phone. My blood pressure and anxiety skyrocket. And each time I go to *this* store specifically, I am reminded how much I need to recalibrate my response to cell phone problems as the customer service here is wonderful. Greeted at the door. No line to stand in. A dedicated person to help me and only me as long as Im still in the store. They helped me fix my phone, and saved me money in the process. This is why Im a loyal Verizon customer and have been since I purchased my very first cell phone. BTW- IMHO, always go to a Verizon store and NEVER into a certified Verizon retailer. There is a massive chasm in the way youre treated and assisted. They just dont compare.

Sean, who I think is the manager, and the rest of the team are extremely helpful, friendly and compassionate. (which comes into play when your phone breaks for no reason) The first time I went into the store to figure out why my phone wasnt working, Sean was extremely helpful and made my experience less painful. He even spoke to my father on the phone with extreme respect and dignity! He was very professional and kind. The second time I stopped in, Robert was just as helpful and enjoyable to be around. I will definitely recommend anyone to this location if they ever need any help with their phone or want to purchase anything! Thank you guys so much!

First dont even bother going here if you can help it. I went to exchange my phone. Walked in the door, checked in and then proceeded to wait for 45 mins. There were probably 3 people who were actually,working in a store with 10 employees. I saw people shuffling papers, wandering around and not really doing anything. I saw people who came in after me being helped. Not one person bothered to ask if they could help me. Even after walking by me multiple times. After sitting forever on their stupid little round couch, I finally approached a group of employees and asked why I hadnt been helped yet. Turns out I wasnt checked in. Rather than helping me immediately they checked me in again and then said they would find someone to help me. Why the two employees not doing anything couldnt help me I have no idea. When I was eventually helped I found out I couldnt even do what I needed to do in the first place. Props to the few people actually working there. But aside from that I have never witnessed such a blatant lack of Customer service. What a bunch of clueless snobs. Never going back again. If you want someone to actually help you go to the Go Wireless store down the road or to the Verizon store in the mall downtown. Most of the people who work at this location are a complete joke.
Seems that sales is the major priority in that store. In short order I was told the phone I brought in had a damaged charging port and I needed to buy a new phone. Turns out the problem was the charger, which I replaced. The phone is now working perfectly.
Walked into the store to pay a bill noticed there was about five reps working three who were with customers 2 were not with anyone I walk straight back to the automated machine to pay my bill, paid my bill and left the store not one person that works there acknowledged that I even walked into the store or asked me if I needed any help with anything even know two of the employees were not helping anyone so Im rateing this a two star because the bill pay machine worked properly.
This was my first time dealing with Verizon, maybe it was just this staff person, but my experience has confirmed the reddit horror stories.Today, i spoke with Trevor who was unaware of the prepaid promotions currently being offered, refused to provide simcards as he would not get credit for helping me unless it was a new account, (my account was less then 5 minutes old & why he would tell a customer this...boggles the mind), and he was unaware of the international addons.....the best part is, he kept talking over me by pushing post paid unlimited service. a product that i did not want, and repeatedly said would not use.

I went to this store to pick up a phone I upgraded online. Troy brought my phone out to me, asked if I wanted in accessories which I didnt need so I said no, and asked if we could set the phone up here, From this point Troy was incredibly rude to my wife and I, and it was clear that he didnt want us here because he realized he wasnt getting any commission from this sale. I wanted to trade in my phone at the store and he was still rude yet again saying that I had to trade it in online. I suggested that it would be more convenient for consumers if we could trade in at the store even if we purchased online and he yet again was rude and disagreed with me in an aggressive way saying that if I wanted to get trade it in at the store then I should of upgraded here. His response to me and my experience with him makes me never want to come back into this store again or even go to a Verizon store again. After this experience, I can see why Verizon is phasing out its retail employees. Do yourself a favor, just order online and skip the rudeness of retail commission driven salesman.
Verizon just did my Godson Jesse right! His GF in New Mexico (& him) got in a terrible fight; in which she tried to run him over w/her Truck.. Long story short, she reported his phone stolen & then had his phone turned off- (apparently their phones were on her account) Having all the power in this scenario, he was w/out a phone & on his way to Washington.. I picked him up here in Salem @ the train station & we went to Verizon. At 1st they couldnt help him, but 1 employee stepped up to the plate! Ran his credit & got him a nice new Galaxy S10+ WITH a new # so his EX cant even call him again! 😂 Ive left out alot; but believe me- Verizon saved the day!!!

The best service I could ask for, My husband and I went in for what we thought would be a complicated process of switching from another carrier to Verizon,and we were relieved of the stress because of the great care and customer support we got from the staff (spencer,Jeff and David)Not only did they work with us to help us stay in our budget for our plan but they helped us pick phones out that sutes our lifestyle.I highly recommend going to this Verizon store.
I had the worst experience at this location. the people here dont know how to read or look at your billing they kept giving me excuses and trying to brush me off when I would comfort them about all the extras on my billing . They had NO explanation how the company Verizon works. They are all about scamming you and trying to get out of helping you address the problem. This is a new store, I will never ever go back there. Nothing got resolved as usual. They say they never give Cash back in the store thats not true. They also proceeded to tell me that I purchased something online when that was not true it was bought at that STORE!!!! All they do is give you the run around, they are VERY disrespectful. You tell me how a manager can say they dont have any idea what the scamming sales associates are doing. Management really needs to work on their managing skills or get a new one that can help the customers.

Avoid Troy at all costs. Even if he is the only sales associate available, avoid him. Better yet, go to a different store.Worst customer service ever. I suggest going to the Keizer store. The employees at this location are only interested in selling NEW phones so they can have a nice big commission check. They are not interested in providing basic customer support even to customers who have been with them for over 10 years. A zombie slowly eating my brains, or a vampire draining me of all the blood in my body would have given me better customer service.I went there as directed by corporate verizion customer service. When I arrived, I explained the situation to Troy. Troy was not interested in helping me. Troy was there to do one thing and one thing only. That thing was to sell NEW phones to everyone who walked into the store. I tried multiple times to explain that I had been sent there by customer service via the chat feature. He told me that the only thing he could do for me was sell me a NEW phone. He keeps emphasizing the word NEW. He did ask me for my account number or read the notes associated with my account when I first approached him. He just got more aggressive each time I told him what I was told over the phone. I finally asked him to look up my account. He pulls it up and once again told me that he could only help me by selling me a NEW phone. He did not take the time to read the notes associated with this. The manager on site was just as bad. He did not try to deescalate the situation. He also blew me off once again saying that the only thing they could do for me was help me buy a NEW phone. He did this without looking up my account and reading the notes associated with it.My phone is covered by the Verizion protection program. I was not trying to get something I had not paid for. I simply wanted what I was told I would get by the customer service representative I spoke to early. I am still strongly considering changing to a new carrier. This is not how you treat a loyal customer.The store interaction should have gone like this.Me: hello, I was directed to come here by a customer support agent I was talked to this morning.Sales associate (Troy): please give me your account number so I can better assist you.This is customer service 101. What I experienced today should have never happened. I have read the google reviews. Troys name has popped up in a few times with similar complaints. He needs to be removed from this job position.
Horrible service. They were judgemental and rude. Too bad they are the only true Verizon store in Salem.
So rude, the sales guy (Victor) realized he wasn’t making a sale, it was all attitude and no explanation of warranty options. If this was my only Verizon experience, I’d never go with them.
