I quickly found the item I was seeking (large clamps). It was late in the day and there was no line in checking out. It is always amazing to see the vast inventory of the store and when I have been unable to quickly find what I am seeking, I have found the staff to be knowledgeable and quite eager to help.
We had an issue with our laptop yesterday. We were leaving on 8/5 and wanted it dianosed before leaving town. I tried Best Buy with no luck so, I tried OfficeMax.Not only need the gentleman fix it (the Wi-Fi quit working) but, told us our computer was unsafe and not to use it. We didnt realize our laptop battery was bulging. I promised the gentleman that we would no longer use the laptop. It was nice to see that there are still honest and professional people still around. Because of his actions we will be doing more business with OfficeMax. Thank you very much OfficeMax. FYI, Im writing this review on my smart phone.

I had one of the best shopping experiences since I arrived in Salem. The manager, Francis and his staff were outstanding, professional, and patient as I selected a fantastic office chair and several other office supplies. My hats off to Francis and his amazing team on Lancaster. Thank you for making me feel so welcome, despite your busy day.
Went in to print something on card stock paper. Got the job done was told the price. Put my card in and was charged another fee bringing my total from $7.30 to $8.99. I dont mind paying but being told one price and being charged another is something I cant stand. Its dirty and unethical will go somewhere else next time.
We needed to fax something, and our printer/fax at home wasnt working. Went to Office Max.Initially, walked in, asked where the fax was. An abrupt lady told us that we had to do this ourselves and pointed us to the machine. Ok, in a Covid world you would expect to do it yourself, but no offers of help in use etc. Hmm.We got to work on making the copies we needed before faxing.The paper snarled up and jammed.All of a sudden the place had gotten busier.We found another worker, very pleasant, who worked with us on unshakable the snag. Then he stayed with us, set up the machine for facing, placed the paper to fax in the correct position, pressed the right buttons and tools is to get him off we needed help. Customer service. Brilliant. I felt much better about this place.We had no further problems except it cost a little more than anticipated. Would have been nice to have this clearly displayed somewhere.So, depending on who you ask there, or who you slosh to, the customer service will be different. Maybe the lady was having a bad day, as she was kind of grumpy. But in the end we got what we needed and the young man gave exceptional customer service, as did the employee checking is out.
I shop here often and have always found the staff to be helpful, courteous and professional. Thank you all!
I emailed a sewing pattern for print. I have always done this. I got no response so I called and was told they dont print until you come in. I had them print school workbooks for me 2 months all via email. The woman was rude and short.one would think in these times they would welcome emailed print jobs so people could just quickly come in and pick up. I asked her when this changed she said 6 months ago but I know that is not true!!!
Condescending and just rude lady at the printing center. I went in there twice to try to get my sheets laminated and didnt because they shut the laminator off. And on top of that, the ladys attitude up there.

I can never say enough about how awesome, friendly, helpful and dependable all of the staff at the Lancaster store are. However, I do need to say that the Super Hero at the Lancaster store is Adam. He is the go-to guy in the computer repair and service department. Several years ago I went to a nearby computer store that I thought had taken care of me but when I got my computer back I was missing many things. I went to Adam at Office Depot and he took my still very sick computer ran his tests and did his magic. From that point on I have recomended Adam and his skills far and wide. He told me exactly what i needed to do to keep my computer clean and working. When I need help I know I can go and ask Adam and the problem will be solved in less than 8 hours. To be honest Brian has also been a great help.Yesterday though was a life saver. It is tax time, my personal life has had many family health issues this past year. I was dreading trying to get back to catchup my accounting software so I would be ready to turn in my financial information to my accountant. I tried to get on my account but could not come up with the right password. I went to my accountant hoping they could help me with my password. They tried but couldnt. I mentioned that I know a computer magician. My accountant said go see you magician.I went to see Adam who confidently and happily set to work typing directions to my computer taking it to places I had never seen before. Within minutes he was guiding me through the steps to create a new password and open up my past years of financial information. I couldnt say thank you enough. I wanted to offer him whatever I could think of to repay my gratitude. I offered a weekend at our resort home but he quickly said no that was against company policy. Adam saved me so much time, anxiety and heartache over the issues that I was facing that I felt a simple thank you was just not enough. This recommendation is the only way I can think of to let the world and Adams supervisors know that Office Depot and I are SSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO LUCKY to have such a brilliant, skilled, friendly, helpful, and honest employee. You need to check your candy. I grabbed a York peppermint pattie as I was checking out. I took one bite and threw it away. I checked it out and it was 5 months outdated.
I had the worst experience ever going in this OfficeMax with a salesperson name Jeff.He was so rude and projected such anger that it wouldn’t surprise me if he is abusive.I worked in retail and customer service for many years and I would have never treated a customer the way he treated me for no reason, maybe he doesn’t like his job ??I will never shop there again as long as he is working there

Want a bad experience go to this store,,, I was ignored while they helped other customers, after having 2 other sets of customers who came in after me at the print center they decided that maybe I might need assistance after one of the customers the so rudely helped before me apologized for jumping in front of me . The sales associate try’s and give me the 2 copies I needed for free ? So they think giving me 2 .18 cent copies is going to buy my satisfaction? How about just pay attention and not ignore your customer instead of buying them off ? Just a thought

Today It was the worst day going to office max in the copy area it was this old lady short hair that work there and it was the most racist person I ever meet. She treat me so bad that there is even a customer that try to help me out bcs she was so un respectfulI only was asking for help with color print that is all. I will never go back to this place because at the way she make me feel today I dont want to experience that again.
Every students go to for any office and school needs they got it and possibly cheaper
I needed to make flyers and a pamphlet for a very special occasion and figured I would be coached on how to go about that, But NO, I was left to my own devices to try and figure out how to not only make a pamphlet, but how to use and operate a computer...lol Everything turned out alright, but it could have gone less stressful had I had more professional help...😂

You know the phone repair guy and Cesar were great the young lady arguing with me that they didnt do cell phone repair not so much. maybe staff should be educated a little more before they argue with customers especially when you have a big sign on your doors that say you do cell phone repair and not to mention I had a prior set appointment with the manager to have my phone fixed. Education is key!
I’ve been on hold twice for 20 minutes the lady who picked up the phone was extremely rude I do not recommend this place for good customer service.
Seems to have fewer items to select from than they used to 10 years ago. Staff was not knowledgeable about product selection or location in the store. The printing department has definitely been downsized since I was last there. Looks like shopping online through this company is better than in store visit. But if Im shopping online, then shouldnt I just find supplier with better prices? Conundrum for people who would rather buy local. Cookes Stationary downtown had better prices, which was a pleasant surprise. Thats a store worth shopping at - plus they can order anything OfficeMax can.
Helpful staff. The prices on ink for printers is not the stores fault but I do think the companies making the printers and then the ink and then all the stuff required to printing at home have just mastered the art of a great con. Heres a printer cost 89.99 heres the cost of an ink refill 69.99 what the heck??? See the problem HP, Dell, ect.... shame on you all.
Half of their people dont know what theyre doing, what products they have, or how to use them properly. They do have a nice pen selection and a good selection of papers.
Not only do they have a much better range of products for headphones than Target or Best Buy, they have much better prices for the same products.After a frustrating day searching for new Over-the-ear, Bluetooth headphones, the staff was able to point us directly to the exact product we were looking for, answer specific questions about the product, and even allowed a fit test.
I never thought I would see the day that a company was so cowardly they would force you to buy a gift card to make a $0.12 photocopy.
For the last 3 days Ive been trying to get business cards at least set up and be scheduled to be made. I came in at different times over the past three days to see if I can get help. I have found that I came in at different times in 3 days to see if I can get some help. I found that in the morning to afternoon no one is available. In the afternoon and evening all the print people and machines were busy and could not help me and dont know when they will have time to assist me. I miss Kinkos before they got bought out by FedEx

Good when product is in stock, they honor price matching, more often its lower especially when its buy 2 get 1 free.
Friendly, helpful, and efficient staff. Normal prices are high, though they do match Amazon prime prices so keep your phone handy for the best deals.

Staff in the store have zero training. It took five days and four calls to customer service to get a refund on the product that was incorrectly produce in the print center.

Quick and efficient printing
The return policy is horrible, used a laptop for a month, the hard drive was defective and burned, brought it back to have it replaced, they sended me to the manufacturer (HP) spent a 1.5hr on the phone, they will send me a parts and will try to fix it for me,Just go to COSTCO pay extra 50$ but be sure when you have issues they will stand by you, not on the side of you.....
