Their staff gave us the best training ever, on how to use our glasses and how to properly clean them etc..We took our daughters and the staff were accurate and kind, my girls were happy, comfortable and not anxious at all. All testing was reliable, comfortable and it was done in the most efficient way ever.My daughters probably tried all frames in the store and even though it was close to closing time, the staff made them feel important and not rushed. That for me was and will always be priceless. You want the best for your kids and that is exactly what Murray Vision Center gave to us.We ended up buying glasses for the whole family plus sunglasses for Mom. Excellent variety and selection of frames!!Everyone at Murray Vision Center have gone way beyond what they needed to do to make our experience unbelievable form start to finish and even after we received our glasses they continue to be amazing,they ship one of our glasses because we were out of town, they manage to replace damaged frames and they understood the human part of accidents and kids with new frames, simply beyond words all they have done for us.Even though we moved from Salt Lake we will be eternally grateful and loyal to them, and we will continue to use their services.

I was very impressed with the level of service received at my appointment today at Murray Vision Center. Dr. Findlay was very attentive and his staff was very helpful and we’re happy to provide me with all of my options related to my optical needs. Dr Findlay is the consummate professional, but is also down to Earth. He explains what is going on with your eyes. Staff is helpful and understanding. My friend said she would go if her insurance covered him.

Amazing place, Ive been going here ever sense I needed my first pair of glasses. They help you pick the best glasses and they all work with big smiles to make the place all the more welcoming. In fact I live in California now but every year I come back here just to get my eyes checked because of how great they are.

I had a heck of a time doing business with Murray Vision Center. They treat you like a human being. The eye exam was thorough and Doctor took the time to educate on my situation as well as my options moving forward. Not only was the service exceptional but they were also a blast to chat with. I got there just to find out my insurance had changed. Not the place you want to find that out. They were so great about working with me and still working me in, even with the delay I caused trying to figure out my insurance. The staff is very friendly yet professional. I highly recommend Murray Vision Center! They took me in as a new patient on very short notice and had the absolute friendliest staff! Their selection of frames was wonderful, with a good variety of styles, sizes and materials. I’m rather picky with my frames, so it was a relief to be able to find quite a few pairs I really liked. The staff is warm and welcoming; this is the kind of place where you feel like a member of the family.

The doctor, the owners, and all the people working here were the nicest I’ve ever had at any doctor’s office. They really took care of me and made me feel comfortable. They had a good selection of eyewear and valuable advice on what would work for me. Very very friendly staff.

Wow! These folks are incredible. I loved the homey atmosphere, and they were very conscientious about COVID safety. But theres more! I ordered contacts from them, and there was a delay in shipping from the manufacturer. Not only did they give me free samples to get me through, they actually drove the contacts to my house on a weekend to ensure I got the refund in on time. I am so, so impressed and cant recommend them any more highly. If youre local, choose Murray Vision Center!

I feel like they did not have the as many frame options as other places.I was not given the prices of the features when discussing those features and as always there was a lot of pressure to purchase features that I did not want.The space is small and there is not enough room for them to show two people frames at the same time.The salesperson was confrontational and rude to the person trying to put together the paperwork/ticket for the order in front of us which was not professional.When trying to make conversation the sales person made assumptions and statements that were awkward and made things uncomfortable.

Normally, you will go to a office and they will say you have, this, this and this, so we need to order this. Murray Vision has never done that to me and only RECOMMENDED what I need. They never said, I have to do this. Murray vision has my life long commitment and anyone I refer. Make an appt, show up, and see for yourself. You be the judge.

Each of the employees at this office provide professional and personal attention. Our family has been going to Dr. Findlay for six years and are VERY pleased. An easy 5 out of 5 stars. We highly recommend him and this center.When we first moved to Utah, my husband went to another provider and after six different contact prescriptions that failed, went to Dr. Findley who took considerable time with him and on the first try the prescription was perfect.Dr. Findlay takes the necessary time to be very thorough to find the root of eye problems. He also expedites treatments with other specialists when needed.An extended family member had a detached retina that another doctor diagnosed as simple eye floaters and not to be concerned. She was not comfortable with the diagnosis and contacted us for a referral. She was able to get an emergency appointment and Dr. Findlay spent most of the day with her to identify the condition and immediately contacted a surgeon for a referral and second opinion. This lead to eyesight saving surgical repair the following day.

This is honestly the best eye doctors office I’ve ever been to. Dr. Findlay and his staff are very friendly and they make you feel like you fit right in. You dont often think of an optometrists office when you think of high pressure situations. Murray Vision center is the exception. From the minute I walked in the door till the minute I finally stormed out, it was non-stop pressuring and posturing from all involved. The wife of the optometrist who runs the front office should be a used car saleswoman. She told me no less than 5 times about how they are a small business, referenced her kids portraits on the wall, and then asked me no less than 5 times if I had kids and if I wanted to schedule exams for them. After waiting for 20 minutes to be seen, the doctor had his own sales pitch. Apparently, according to him, I am at risk for glaucoma... which I can certainly buy... but my risk level, according to only him, is such that I needed to be encouraged to have him use some fancy machine Ive never heard of take a really, really detailed picture of my eyes. Dont worry! he said. Your insurance will cover it! So I reluctantly agreed, and while the picture was exciting for him, it literally did not inspire him to tell me anything any other optometrist without the machine hasnt already told me. Well schedule for another picture in 2 months. he said, as I went up front to pick out new frames.Ummm... OK. No.I was immediately informed by the used car saleswoman that I owed them $89 for the detailed picture. I was told by your husband that the insurance will cover it? I said. Well... as a courtesy well bill your insurance for you, but Im sure you havent met your deductible yet. I almost left at that point, but I really wanted to get a new pair of glasses since the ones I had were pretty wore out. I was expecting about $350-$450... you know... normal.Try upwards of SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS.I up and left immediately. Couldnt get out the door fast enough.I just opened the mail today and recieved the first... and last... bill from them Ive ever gotten. Its for $89 with $0.67 for interest. Im only surprised that she didnt handwrite on the invoice, Do you have kids? How old are they? Do you want to schedule them? on it.

I have very weird eyes and usually eye doctors dont get my prescription right. Not the case here! They nailed my prescription and helped me get contacts that fit with my budget. Afterwards, they gave me tons of contact solution just out of the goodness of their hearts! They are super kind people and I got the contacts that I needed!

This is a really good place to go. The doctor makes sure your eyes health is the best.

My wife went in for a simple exam and at the end the doctor took a couple pictures of her eye. When my wife was done the doctor said that he performed Medical Professional Services which are not covered by our standard vision insurance and fall under a special category in medical insurance. Long story short she was given a $278 dollar bill after a simple exam. I would not recommend this place to anybody, they bring people back for a standard exam and do something like take a picture of your eye and then bill you for a large sum of money.

Great service ; went to this office on a Saturday and I was able to get my eye exam I could not be more surprise with treatment I received.

The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Ive never been to an optometrist before, so they were explaining everything to me during my exam. They were not pushy for me to get the more expensive frames or anything. I chose my frames and they told me that I should expect me glasses in 7-10 business days. I ordered some special Blue-Tech lenses that help with screens (because I work on a computer all day). Fastforward to 2 weeks later, I called to ask about my glasses and they told the lenses didnt pass inspection so they had to order them again. Which is awesome! They actually cared about the quality and made sure it was up to their standard. They were taking longer than expected, so they gave me my frames with some temporary lenses with an anti glare for the time being. They stayed after hours for me so I could get my temporary glasses after work! A couple of days later, they got the lenses in and switched them to the correct ones. I havent had customer service this good in a while. Couldnt be happier!

Dont come here unless you want to have to pay tons of extra money for mediocre service. I have VSP for my insurance. Every time I have gone to a eye doctor appointment (Ive worn glasses/contacts for 15+ years) with this insurance I have paid my copay of $10 and either got contacts or glasses for basically free. Here they started my exam, then told me it would be $70 because of some extra contact fitting fee they do. Ive never had a less thorough exam and especially for that price its not worth it. The doctor originally gave me the wrong prescription and had to redo the contacts too! When it came time to get contacts and look at prices of glasses they quoted me for over $400 for glasses with insurance and cheap frames, and over $200 for contacts for a year with insurance. Leaving me with a total they expected me to pay of $700+ I left thinking about it but wont be back. The people in the office are nice but just want to sell you. If money isnt an issue and you dont mind a mediocre exam you might like it here, otherwise stay away!

I went to this clinic last week as a new customer since I was in need of a new pair of glasses for work. I called around a couple places to see what their availability was and wasnt having much luck. After talking with the receptionist at MVC I was able to schedule my appointment during my lunch break on the same day.Upon my arrival everyone was really friendly and helpful. I was a little apprehensive due to the other Google reviews posted but was pleasantly surprised how fast and friendly they were before, during and after the examination. They were able to get me set up with a pair of glasses THAT SAME DAY. The doctor and his wife were even kind enough to drive up to S. Salt Lake to pick up my prescription during their lunch break.I would definitely recommend this place if youre looking for a new optometrist.

I have been going to Murray Vision for many years. The staff is wonderful and the service is great.

They care more about what you are going to spend there than anything else. The asian woman is pushy and kept attempting to bully us into spending more money. Do not go here unless you wish to have a mediocre experience and to be overcharged or charged for things you were not aware insurance did not cover. Take your business elsewhere to a more reputable optometrist.

I felt as though the staff were only interested in how much I was going to spend in their office. The eye exam went fairly quickly and the rest of the time the doctor and his assistant were talking about different contact brands and doing a contact fitting when I was there for glasses. When I went to pick my frames I was surprised to see that there were no price tags on anything. That makes it seem like they want you to fall in love with an expensive frameset so youll find a way to buy it even if its out of your price range. While I was finishing the process of ordering my frames I was fed a series of upgrades that I could get for my glasses. I wanted a basic pair of glasses with no upgrades as these were going to be a backup pair. Oh but you could walk out with x y z for your glasses for only a little bit more. The doctor really recommends this upgrage for your eyes, especially if youre going to be out at night. Its only xxx more. is what I heard for the rest of the time even when I made it clear I was only wanting the basics. I ended up paying quite a bit out of pocket because I was not told how much my frames were until after she put in the order. I did not feel good about my purchase when I left the office. I did not feel cared for. I felt like a walking money sign and duped for not knowing how much my frames were until the order was being finalized, even when I asked what the price was. All in all I wont be coming back as I would like to feel like a patient getting cared for instead of just another person spending money.
