Best gun store in San Antonio. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. They are not pushy and really go above and beyond to answer any questions you may have. I have bought several guns there and will continue to do so. Great discount for military and first responders. Joseph, Cody and the entire team are top notch.

Short review: Truly an amazing shop with an outstanding atmosphere. The staff here is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The shop is well organized, well stocked and VERY clean. I was really impressed by the manager Caleb. He explained to us that they do gun reviews on all their social medias so they know what they are talking about.Long review: We visited this shop on a Saturday afternoon and it is by far the best gun shop my husband and I have been to in San Antonio. To start they are SO clean! All their guns are behind glass cabinets that are see through due to how clean they are. They also have a restroom you can use which is stocked with disinfection and it really clean. The overall atmosphere is really welcoming due to the lighting, music and staff. They also have water and soda for the customers and couches to sit on! The employees are very helpful but they are also good at allowing the customers the space to look around. But I stress they are all really knowledgeable about the products which is really nice. I cant think of anything negative to say about this shop, overall its amazing and you should really check it out.

Great experience. I could not find shotgun shells anywhere. At the time, South Texas Guns was out as well. Murphy and Cody took care of me. They put me on a watch list, and when shotgun shells became available ( a few days later) they called me and even held 4 boxes for me. Service is top notch. They really care about their customers. Came in this store looking for a new side firearm. With my inexperience in the firearm world the Manager Mike was extremely patient and helpful with my million dumb questions. The gunsmith Ben offered very knowledgeable advice about my AR I purchased and it was completely by his own will. Very poor customer service. There were 7 employees and I was the only customer and still received horrible service. They have overpriced guns and they lowball trades. Take my advice and pass on this place and go up the street to Adelbridge or Nagel’s. Those two gun shops are the biggest in San Antonio for a reason.

Great experience. Went looking for a home defense weapon and was helped by Cody. He was very helpful and the entire staff seemed quite knowledgeable. I stopped by to check this place out and I was not disappointed. There is a very broad selection of firearms. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Mr.Joseph was very helpful and took the time to explain gun safety and proper handling of a firearm to my friend (new shooter). We will definitely be coming back soon!

I wanted to buy from a local shop. I was raised in this neighborhood. It’s my fault for not doing my do diligence but I paid easily $70-100 over the cost of my firearm than I would have at Nagels. In this market you expect to pay a little more but this was robbery. In the end it’s my fault. I will shop more diligently next time. The man that helped me was knowledgeable and friendly but I wish I had known what the drastic price differences were. Oh well. Live and learn. If I have any advice look at all the prices of shops around,it my save you a hundy.

We went there yesterday just to check it out. This place was so cool - they had all sorts of guns, knives, ammunition, etc. And the staff was so genuinely into just showing off their stuff - we said were just looking but the employee spent about ten minutes with us anyway just happy to show off what they had. Truly a great experience and well certainly be back.

La Taza across the parking lot is a juice bar now that will sell you cheap drip coffee for $3 a cup, or South Texas Guns has better drip coffee for free and you can look at guns while drinking it.

South Texas Guns is one of the better gun shops in town. Good selection and everyone acts like they are happy to see you( not like your wasting there time). I’ve only purchased one firearm and some accessories from them but have completed three transfers for items I bought online. Always professional and willing to answer questions or just talk guns.

Took my little brother here for his 18th birthday was immediately greeted by the owner who was very friendly & very helpful my brother did not find what he wanted & was given plenty of more alternatives without asking. After a couple of months of going to this shop, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I can say in confidence that they’re a great group of people who know their stuff. I was very impressed with the extra safety precautions taken and emphasized in the shop when the staff had to handle merchandise or guns brought in for cleaning, sale, or show. Great selection and even greater service. I have visited the store a couple of times and have looked at multiple firearms and I can attest this is not your typical firearms store. I never felt rushed or pressured to buy anything and the employees were always more than willing to help. I eventually purchased a firearm from Kaleb who was more than helpful and took the time to answer all my questions and help me make a final decision between a couple firearms I had been looking at. This is hands down the best gun shop in town! They are fairly new in town, but the level of expertise, and amazing selection was top notch. Visited this place to sell a firearm. I was asked to speak with the general manager. He made a super low offer that it was almost offensive (He didn’t care). I left and drove to Bulverde, TX to Armed in America Firearms and was treated with respect and got a fair offer. I ended up buying a new shotgun.

I called to speak to a gunsmith and they told me to drop off both my rifles to be bore sighted for $50 and when I arrived they told me that was not the case. It was going to be $100 dollars. Im just disappointed in the miscommunication I drove quite a distance simply because of the offer for them to tell me otherwise. Poor service in my opinion.

Not my usual gun store, but its close to home. Started popping in every couple days looking for the elusive 9mm ammo. The first few times it was good experience. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and made me feel welcome. This last time was different. I guess they caught on that I was coming in only looking for ammo they didnt have and decided to be dismissive and somewhat confrontational. Too bad, it could have become my go-to place. Just because Im only looking for ammo now doesnt mean I wont be getting a pistol or rifle next time.

Bought an hk vp9 out of state and had my good buddy JW refer me to this place for a smooth and easy ffl transfer and Caleb was more than helpful and extremely attentive through the whole process. The fact that I had called back hours later after talking to them for the first time and them remembering my name and what I was calling for speaks volumes for the type of business they run. I stopped in today to look around. Small store that has an inventory of mostly used firearms for new prices. Rip off. Sales associates are friendly, but follow you around the store and take out guns from the display that you’re not interested in. They really push and nag for a sale and it’s annoying. Won’t be going back.
