These people are awesome for transfers. Very affordable and easy to deal with. All they ask is to respect their instructions and the hours are clearly posted online. I think as customers its easy to get caught up in the big box mentality of me, me, me and forget that people have lives and families they enjoy - even small mom and pop operations like Wetmore Shooting Sports. This is my go too location for firearm transfers. Electronic forms and background check submissions so Im not filling out the same form over and over and waiting on a phone call like at most shops. Very inexpensive transfer services, and great customer service. Ive never had a problem with them and will continue to use them for all my needs even if they are actually quite a drive for me.

In business you have three key factors: Fast, Good and Cheap. Normally you can pick any two at the expense of the third.somehow Wetmore shooting sports manages to be all three and they are great to do business with. If you are in San Antonio, there is no reason to deal with anyone else.highly recommended!

Used them many times for last 2-3 yrs only because their transfers were cheaper than the competition. Slow response, very limited office hrs, takes few days for them to process once receiving firearms and but reachable by email and phone. Tolerable because it was cheaper. Last transfer was last yr when I needed them. I also convinced to buy the 6 transfers for 100 card with no expiration thinking it was a good deal but nope. Only used a few on the card. Recently bought a firearm and the seller been waiting a week for FFL info from them. No response from voicemail nor emails. Tired of waiting and took it as a loss and chose a different FFL dealer.FYI, Jorges recent review looks fake. Exact same comment as the previous reviewer 2 yrs ago.

Staff unable to differentiate between an AK-47 and a SKS; something any respectable gun shop should be able to do. After two phone confirmations and traveling an hour and a half to their business to purchase the AK-47, which actually ended up being a SKS, the only compensation given was a giggle and a My bad. No attempt to right the wrong or pursue another sale. Frustrating is an understatement. This may have been a fluke, but I dont recommend wasting time and money to find out. Buyer beware.

Ive been using Wetmore for CHL training and FFL transfers.for several years. They run a solid 5-star operation.

As Im typing Im sitting here at the bracken range, the one they use for CHL classes and I was told to be here at 8:30. Well its 9:00 and all weve done is sign in. I havent even seen the range yet. Very unprofessional. If you want to get your CHL dont use wetmore. They have ridiculous standards for the actual class. I have to wear eye protection over my glasses which are built to the same standard as the eye protection. same
