We absolutely love Eyelux! They are great with adults as well as pediatrics. My boys have been going there since I can remember. The doctors and staff are always so patient and kind. I highly recommend!

I called the same day needing to come in for an eye exam and to pick out new glasses after losing both of my pairs of progressives. They got me in super fast, and I was in and out in under an hour complete with selecting and buying glasses! I highly recommend Dr. Coleman, she is incredibly thorough and very kind, and the whole staff is just wonderful. Thank you!!

This place has really gone downhill from the office it used to be. I have been a patient for years. Their invoice is full of adjustments and charges that were never explained and the price was astronomical for glasses the last time i purchased. I am not sure I would ever go back. They used to be a good optometrist. Probably Costco will be better.

Dr. Cooper is very nice, knowledgeable and very professional. They have a huge selection of contacts and eyeglasses and reasonably priced as well. I would highly recommend Eyelux Optometry!

Very disappointed by treatment and overall experience with Dr. Cooper and his assistants. Not only were my customized lenses done incorrectly twice, but I was blamed for the failed attempt at my last visit. My husband was with me, as I broke my knee on vacation & was in a wheelchair. Not only did I express numerous times that the left lense was uncomfortable, but he failed to see if I could see close up, too.

I have had my annual exam at eyelux for the past several years and they are fantastic! Dr. Coleman rocks!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even assisted me with picking out my glasses. The doctor was knowledgeable with my situation and took his time and explained all my options. I would highly recommend EyeLux Optometry if you want a great experience with professional staff and doctors.

I always have a great experience here. No dumb questions, very smart answers, and lovely people from the front desk to the optometrist. BUT ...They close from 11:30-1pm for a very long lunch, which makes it impossible for those of us who work to pick up glasses and contact orders. And it says this on the door - so you only know once youve wasted the time to come. Rude.

Dr Cooper is an optometrist i highly recommend; ive had 3 years of exams with him, and he was so thorough in the subsequent visits when the glasses lens had an issue. he helped to resolve! very personable and extremely technical in the eye exam.

So far really pleased! I went there for the first time yesterday. The doctor took a lot of time to make sure everything was good with my glasses prescription and tested a lot of contacts with me. Overall he took about 2 hours for me and my daughter. This is impressive!

I was seen by Dr. Coleman and she and her staff were very friendly and knowledgeable in diagnosing and treating my eye infection in timely and efficient manner. I was feeling much better just 2 hours after being seen. Would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for eye care.

This place used to be amazing but ever since the original owner sold the practice, its been a disaster. I cant even get someone to answer the phone half the time.

They were thorough and on time from the moment of check in. Receptionist verified my coverage. Easy paperwork. Didnt wait long before I went in for eye pictures. Next was placed in exam room for Dr. Michel and she was on time and very pleasant. Answered questions and offered tips/advice. The frame process was easy and sales rep wasnt pushy and helped to get just what I needed within my budget. Place is clean organized and relaxing. Staff is on track with time which is so important when you are working and have an appointment during your lunch.

Dr Cooper is great. I’ve been seeing him a few years now and he takes his time with each patient, doesn’t rush through the exam. You can tell he really cares about his patients.

My experience was very good with Dr. Coleman and her team. In fact this was an entirely new team at this office since my visit about a year ago.I’m so glad I called them to schedule an appointment and they had an opening in several days, I had only one pair of contacts left. In addition I was able to get a prescription change to match an old pair of glasses after Dr. Coleman verified everything during my eye examination.Now I can read from my computer and smart phone without reading glasses with my contacts in. We started with Dr. Saks in RB, 24 years ago, and continued with Dr. Nguyen when he started working with Dr. Saks. We have been very impressed with Dr. Nguyen, once we had to give up seeing Dr. Saks.He is extremely professional, very friendly, remembers who we are from year to year.He has given us great advice for aging eyes. We would recommend him and his office to anyone. The office staff is wonderful also. I didnt need new glasses this year, but really enjoyed my experience last year. . .not sure of the guys name though.Thank you for a great experience. Sharon

Ive been going since Dr. Jacquelin Le, O.D. & her husband started at their first location. Great service, professional and tech-savvy in making appointments, website, beautiful office. But mostly its the people that make it. Dr. Jacquelin Le, O.D is awesome! Very friendly makes you feel like home, takes time with you to makes sure you see the eye chart. You know 1 or 2 or 2 or 1 ... she does not speed you through that process; my eyes and brain like to to analyze the chart and I need time. She knows this and slows down. Being a photographer I value my eyesight and so I am grateful that I have such nice professional people in Dr. Jacquelin Le, O.D and staff!

I love the office. Dr. Chou is very thorough and explains everything he is doing and why. He gives me explanations on what he finds in a way that I can understand it. Most of the front office staff is courteous. Its very easy to make appointments and the email appointment confirmation/reminder is awesome. I have been to the office now 4 times and have never sat in the waiting area more than 10 minutes. Dr. Chou, in my opinion, is an expert on treating Keratoconus and Im thankful my local eye doctor referred me to him. Ive never felt better about my eye health and my options.

I recently visited EyeLux Optometry to have my eyes checked. The facility is brand-new, with the latest equipment and a highly professional and friendly staff.Setting up my appointment was easy and once I got there the wait time was short. I was examined by Kelvin Nguyen, O.D., who took the time to explain everything he was doing in a manner that was clear and understandable to me. He was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and relatable at the same time.The glass and frame selection, as well as the choice of the various customization options were made easy by the staff. What the insurance covers and what I would have to pay myself was made clear to me.Overall I had an excellent experience with EyeLux Optometry and would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs optometry services.

I decided to take advantage of my VSP insurance through work and get my first eye exam in several years. I was able to get an appointment within a few days of when I called at a time that worked well for me. When I showed up, I was impressed with the layout of the front office. It felt spacious, yet not overly empty, and the entire office had an upscale, clean feeling to it. The new patient paperwork was short and straightforward, and I was taken to the back quicker than I expected. My exam with Dr. Michel was quick, yet comprehensive. She walked me through explanations of what she was looking for during the tests, and why she drew the conclusions she did. At the end of my exam she explained to me my options going forward and some of the benefits to each of my options. Additionally, she informed me of some of the potential optical-related side effects of some medication that I have been taking, which wasnt something I had known about.5 stars for the office and Dr. Michel - I plan to return for my next annual exam!

Dr. Nguyen is excellent. He is very thorough and takes time to explain the exam and his findings with me. He is also friendly. The person who performed the pre-exam was very good.The optical staff and front desk assistant who handled my check-in could use some improvement. The opticians lacked common sense and werent able to provide me with any practical advice regarding some minor adjustments I needed to make my old sport sunglasses more comfortable. The front desk assistant was not very informed regarding my Health Net vision plan. I doubt that I was the first person to come into the office with that plan. She gave me erroneous information after she claimed that she had found my plan online and then gave me some information that makes me wonder whether she was really dealing with my plan. Ill need to check her accuracy with my plan provider.

This is a great place if you want to get professional and comprehensive eye exam!! Doctor Nguyen answered all my questions and provided useful tips to keep my eyes healthy. I also ordered my glasses here afterwards, the staffs are also very helpful and I really appreciate their help!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND the “new” EyeLux Optometry... appears to be under new ownership or new management... am thrilled with both Eric at the front desk (professional, accommodating, pleasant to work with), and Dr. Michael Cooper, with his vast experience and interest in managing Keratoconus. In-house medical assistants/Exam technicians are knowlegable and pleasant to work with.This is an awful eye disease to have; it requires skill and patience of the practitioner in managing. Dr. Cooper was not only able to address my concerns, but is trying out a new-to-me contact lens protocol and clearly explains why this is best for the health of my eyes. His pleasant and upbeat chairside manner actually brought a smile to my face during what are normally tedious and frustrating visits to the optometrist for management of this condition. My vision is clearer than it has been in years on the protocol that he has prescribed!

Kelvin Nguyen, O.D. has been our eye doctor for many years and we HIGHLY recommend him and his competent staff. He always takes plenty of time in explaining things to me which I truly appreciate. Both my husband and I think he is an excellent doctor.

Do not buy glasses here. Working with the opticians here is extremely frustrating. We were in with our whole family to buy glasses, and we chose frames with no help from an optician (in my previous experience, a good optician will make suggestions bases on your insurance, face shape, prescription, etc.). We put down four frames at the opticians desk and started to discuss the details, then got up to look at some more frames. When we came back a few minutes later, someone else was sitting at the same desk and the optician was working them instead! He wasnt even finished helping us but we ended up waiting so long for him to get back to us that we left our items in a tray and had to come back later in the evening. When we came back a few hours later to complete our purchase, the real trouble began. Jane King, another optician, grabbed our tray even though we told her we were waiting for the person we had worked with earlier. Then she gave us different information than what the other optician told us about our order. We were so close to purchasing earlier that afternoon, but she took us back to square one, and basically drove us out of the clinic with her rude, unprofessional, and condescending behavior. She was more interested in getting out of there promptly at 6, than in helping the customers. She muttered things under her breath but we could clearly hear what she was saying. She was downright disrespectful. As a paying customer, this type of behavior is unacceptable. We are now looking for another eye clinic, and we will not be returning there for exams either. This clinic needs to train their opticians better or hire more qualified people. At least get all your opticians to learn about the different insurances and your store policies so they are on the same page. Avoid this place unless you want to feel awful while spending your time and money.

Dr. Chou is very thorough and patient with his examination. I have a medical condition, keratoconus, which requires special fitting for hybrid contact lenses. Dr. Chou is the best. I am most grateful that he is so skilled in this area of eye care.

During my annual check-up, Dr. Chou spent time determining any changes I had detected during the previous 12 months, provided me with additional information about the ocular migraine condition I have, explained the results of the tests the technician had performed, and gave me his personal evaluation after examining my eyes. Two office staff helped me in selecting new frames.Since I visited Eyelux a year ago, new artwork has been added to enhance the light fixtures in the reception/ frames area.I am pleased with the personal attention of all Eyelux professionals, as well as with the polished facility.

I have an unusual case of Keratoconus which is a bulging of the cornea to an extent that I cannot see well with glasses or normal contacts. I was desperate to find a solution and visited many doctors with no results or, in one case, a painful result of ill fitting lenses.I searched for a long time and finally contacted Dr Chou. His office was a fairly long drive from my home but, I was determined. That was long ago and Dr. Chou, despite all my eye problems (Keratoconus, cataracts, and cornea irregularities) has the patiently dealt with my problems and educates me at every visit! I have traveled the distance to see him for some years. No matter the problem with my eyes, he always tells me how to remedy the problem and how to avoid any further problem.I admit that I have very strange eyes but, Dr. Chou is undaunted by them! I highly recommend him for anyone! Also, the staff is very friendly and excellent at finding the best look and fit for glasses. Everyone is very efficient and the office waiting area is open, bright and very modern!

I switched to EyeLux from a clinic in Rancho Penasquitos to stay with Dr. Chou. I love how he is so thorough and answers all my questions...even the dumb ones. He never rushes me or makes me feel like he is ready to move on. He seems to know how to treat eye problems in ways others never suggested--and it works! The staff there are very good as well. They knew all the ins and outs of our vision insurance, and Sara picked out new frames for me after seeing what Id had before, and she chose perfectly. Saved me a lot of time hunting around the store looking at frames! Ill definitely come back!

Let me know how to put zero star for eyelux. I visited 4 times for prescription sunglasses. Whenever go there, there policy or rules are changed depend on optician. I can buy it sometime, but I cant buy the sunglasses with insurance next time. Today lunch t ime I can buy it, but not after 5:30.

Dr Coleman is a great eye doctor!

I have never before had an optometrist who understood how to prescribe for patients with keratoconus. I found EyeLux and Dr. Chou via a Google search for specialists in keratoconus who were knowledgeable about soft and hybrid contact lenses for keratoconus. When I first called the office, Sarah was extremely patient and understanding in fielding my questions.I first saw Dr. Chou two weeks ago after having a cataract removed from my right eye. id had a surgery scheduled for the left eye as well, but after testing my vision, Dr. Chou gently suggested that I could postpone the operation on the left eye because the vision in that eye was eminently correctable.Just two days ago Dr. Chou fitted me with my first pair of hybrid contact lenses. (The rigid center portions smooth out the images that my bumpy eyeballs used to fractionate, and the soft outer portions allow the lenses to rest comfortably on my eyes.) I have NEVER before had the clarity of vision that these hybrid contact lenses produce. Dr. Chou is extremely knowledgeable and patient, and he actually LIKES to work with patients whose vision presents challenges.Dr. Chou and the staff at EyeLux are outstanding. I recommend them without reservation. And, as icing on the cake, they were able to get my vision insurance plan to pay fully for the contact lenses as being medically necessary.

This is my 2nd year at Eyelux and first time i had great experience but this time i was not very happy.1) They are expensive.2) Got eye exam, 3 pairs of glasses and its been more than 3 weeks and there is no call.Upon calling they are telling lab is backed up. What am i suppose to do without prescription.. They told me it will be done in 2 weeks on that too on 17th of December. Its 1/6 and they have no clue. THey dont even call and update their client. What kind of customer service this is. Now 1 pair is ready so for every pair i have to keep going there and waste my time..May be it is a time i have to start finding another optometry as it seems very sloppy job this time.
