Just had my first exam there. Very thorough. I’m waiting for my glasses so that will be the most important test of whether I approve of this place. I’ve heard good things so I’m hopeful. As for frames, picking out a frame is 5-star experience here. Very spendy but terrific selection. Great assistance from optician. If you wear your glasses everyday, perfect frames are something you can enjoy the comfort and appearance of constantly. So I highly recommend this place.

I am 52 and new to wearing glasses. Patti was extremely helpful and friendly both on the phone and in person at my appointment. She thoroughly explained my options and what to expect from wearing glasses and helped me understand what was right for me. She made me comfortable and spent time with me, thank you!!!!

Frames at this store can be a little on the pricey side and are very cute and trendy. Go here for excellent service and consider taking your Rx to a cheap online option (e.g. eye buy direct, firmoo) for frames.

I just got my new glasses and they are the best pair I have ever had - never seen better! Having worn glasses most of my life, I appreciate the quality and wonderful selection of frames I havent seen elsewhere. They also use premium lenses to ensure best possible vision. My prescription is pretty complex and requires precise measurements but they have special instruments to perform this at different angles as you wear the frame. Could not be happier!

While visiting San Diego a screw broke in the arm of my enchromia shades. Id looked everywhere for a repair kit without any luck. Urban Optiks didnt have a repair kit either, but they did fix my shades free of charge and wouldnt even take a tip. Thank you again!!!

Dr. Chen did a very thorough eye exam and answered my many questions. She also suggested additional steps to help alleviate my symptoms. I found her to be very knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend her as well as Dr. Klein. They use the latest technology, which is something I also appreciate about them.Tracey, Optician, helped me select new eyewear and made suggestions on lense type based on how I intended to use my various eyewear (progressive and mono-focal). In addition, Urban Optiks has the most extensive selection of modern, quality frames. That is originally why I decided to come here 5 yrs ago. I must have tried on over 20 frames. She was patient and very helpful.Dris kept me informed on the status of my eyewear and new lenses. It took awhile (nearly 4 weeks for 2 different prescriptions), but in the end the quality of the product is most important to me. Dris also helped me with adjustments when I came in to pick-up my eyewear. He made the subtle adjustments with the fewest number of changes. Usually, it takes 5-10 times per eyewear to get the nosepads and arms properly adjusted. But he seems to have a knack for doing this.Lastly and most importantly, Urban Optiks has well-thought out safety and health protocols in place, including check-in via phone, only allowing a couple of people in the storefront at one time, stringent cleaning of eyewear and surfaces, etc. I felt completely comfortable being there.In summary, if you are looking for the best optical service in San Diego county, I highly recommend Urban Optiks.

Amazing selection of frames at the store. I have been wearing eyewear for over 20 years and I have never seen such a diverse variety of unique frames. I recommend attending their annual big sale frame event, since they have even more frames for sale there. The personal is also very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. They helped find the smallest round frame ever, since I have very high prescription that was the best for me. The doctor is also very nice and patient. Even better they accept eye insurance and they sell clip-on sunglasses. Overall I’m so happy I found my go-to-frame store in San Diego.

The staff here are very kind and very helpful. Dr. Klein is incredibly polite and professional. I had a lot of confusion filling out the forms needed to have done before the tele-health video chat, Gary helped me out very politely and efficiently.

Dr. Gary Klien provides outstanding customer service, his office manager Kristy is awesome. I have seen a number of Optometrists over the years, and he is by far the best. He has so many different lines of eyeglasses, that are great to choose from. I would definitely recommend him to all my family and friends. Check him out!

This is the place Ive come to expect excellent care. The exam is accurate and efficient, and the staff, with out exception, treats you like you are their number one patient. I have complete confidence in them for my eye health and vision care. Its rare when you find an optometrist who is really good who also has a great shop and staff. This is that place.

Doctor was patient and worked with my teenage son to get the perfect most comfortable contact lenses. Took a couple of attempts and brands, but in the end..my son walked away seeing 20/15 and smiling. Great selection of frames as well, my daughter ended up loving her new frames. The staff is so helpful and kind. Love this place!

The office was comfortable and stylish.I was seen at my scheduled time. Dr. Klein worked efficiently, but, was never rushed and took plenty of time to go over my results and answer my questions. He even answered my more general questions about what trouble would look like in the retinal scan - luckily, everything looked good.Do to my constant computer use, I did end up needing a prescription for near field glasses. I was passed off to Nathan who did an amazing job of explaining my computer benefits. We established a price range that I was comfortable with on the frames and he stuck to that. I really appreciated that there werent any instances of trying to upsell me on more expensive frames. I also appreciated that he took time to help me find a nice pair of frames. I have no sense of style, so, a more stylish pair of eyes was great to have.I left happy with the eye exam and the glasses I selected (cant wait to get them)!I would recommend this office without reservations.

Soooo tired of the lame typical eye place that really doesnt care about YOUR NEEDS. Theyre only interested in the dollar with the is this better or this better ridiculous at best. Optiks uses machines that automatically determine your vision at which time they use that info to tailor the glasses to fit your lifestyle. I stand about 40 inches away from my monitor at work and my prescription only allows me to be within 26 inches of the monitor to see clearly. The great doctors there have made the necessary adjustments to my lenses so that I could comfortably view my work on the computer without leaning in to read. OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE. I will never go elsewhere. I cant say enough about these guys. Dr Dizon took the time to have me come in to verify that my prescription and vision were correct for some government test requirements. Following the visit, Dr Dizon drew up an official letterhead statement of facts so that I would qualify for the testing process.I have seen my share of optometrists over many years so I speak from experience. If your quest is for a great optometrist that delivers specifically to your needs, this is the place! Urban Optiks I wish you great success. Very friendly, funky spot. I felt very accommodated with my prescription needs and Dr. Klein was committed to finding a lens combination that would work well for me.

The office was easy to find. There are many frames to choose from at different price ranges. They accept VSP Insurance plans. Nathan Caracter exceeded our expectations and found exactly the frame we were looking for. We were so pleased, we bought 2 frames since ours was a discontinued style. On street parking only; so allow extra time if you have to walk a block or two. We will shop here again.
