I’ve been coming to fast bikes since I was a kid bought my first bmx at fast bikes! everyones there is incredibly awesome, been the same family owned shop for decades. they’re services are awesome, they’re bikes are always keeping up with the times and trends they’ll treat you like family.

They are cheap bike shop, They dont know how to fix the bike. I tried two times and it was still the same problem. and owner was really rude and he said, we can fix that much only and you have to pay full price. Looks like they even dont know how to fix the bike.Now this owner is stating that i didnt paid my bill. I came there to fix some wheel balance issue. It was told it will be fixed.at the end both wheel were still not balanced. I came for some problem and at the end the problem is the same( i will say 10% better). The problem didnt fixed, what should I pay for.Once i asked the owner why should i pay for. Instead of explaining he started abusing and stating you have cheap bike get out from my shop blah blah ...........and keep abusing. I dont like to write what all he said. If i write everything, i think no one will go there. I dont think these kind of business should exist, who promise and not deliver and then abuse the customer by just asking questions.

Touts to have many accessories available online, but has nearly nothing in stock. We were looking for either a basket or a set of panniers and they didnt have anything in stock. They stock a grand total of 2 types of cable locks, both the same brand.Service is below average; I said I was dealing with some saddle soreness I was looking to remedy and (aside from only carrying Specialised saddles), didnt receive any assistance in finding the right saddle for my build.Thoroughly disappointed with my visit here.

I was in the market for a beginner entry Mountain bike and I was set on the Giant Talon 2. I searched around and no local shops had my size and color preference in stock. Finally after searching non stop for days i landed one at Fast Bicycle in San Jose. I called them right away and spoke to Tom, he said he had just received the bike a day ago and that it was still in the box. The bike shop was an hour drive from me so i told him I wanted the bike for sure and that I will go the following day to purchase it. I asked him if I can put a deposit so he could hold it for me, he said there was no need for that. He would hold it for me until the next day and I had priority if anyone else tried to purchase the bike. Im new to mountain biking, as a matter of fact this is my very first bike that i bought brand new so when I went in to the shop I asked a lot of questions and he answered them all without being annoyed or anything, he gave me pretty good information. Once I purchased the bike I asked if he had a kick stand in stoc, he said he had kick stand for the bike but that he recommended me not getting one if I was going to use the bike for trails. He said the kick stand could get stuck on a jump or something and cause it to kick out and possibly injure me. Its good to know that hes not just trying to sell everything he can to its costumers to make more profit. Overall I had a really good experience buying my firts bike. Thank you Fast Bicycle

I went there to fix my bike it was very nice customer service. They fixed my bike quick and was affordable.

Supposedly won a raffle for a bike I wanted. Went to go pick up...Website says they open at 10am, but they actually didnt open until 11am. Guy said they havent updated their website in months and they let yelp take care of business hour updates...Then the bike they had for me wasnt even ready. After waiting outside for almost an hour, they guy said I needed to wait another 30 mins to finish assembling the bike. On top of that, it was a totally different bike. They are a joke.Edited after response: There was no miscommunication. My sister was certain that the bike she won a raffle for is the olive Sunday C-High color. She has been looking for that color for quite some time so there was no confusion there. Whoever called her to let her know she won the raffle told her they have the olive colorway in stock for her and to come pick it up.10-15 mins assembly time, it doesnt matter. I waited outside because your website said your hours of operation is 10-7. Plus, there were identical bikes sitting on the floor already assembled (2-3). Why do I have to wait for another one to be assembled. My day started out great until I visited your shop.

I live in the north bay and have only needed a shop in the south bay twice. First time was on my way to do a road ride Id been wanting to do for a long time: Nacimiamento Fergusson Road. Id switched pedals on my bike and had the wrong cleats. I called a regionally big retailer who was absolutely not helpful. I called the folks at FB and they understood that I needed a onetime affordable solution. Dropped in bought the pedals and installed them for me, 5-minutes total. Time #2: Found a frame and wheel set I wanted (on CL), setting up a gravel bike for my son. The owner Tom said hed be happy to box it and ship it up to me. Gave me a quote on the phone and seller dropped it off. I offered a bit more than he quoted, just because and he would not let me tip him. Stand up owner and very helpful folks. Old-school shop and I recommend them to anyone.

Our family has used fast bikes you years for spare tubes and various bike repairs, this time our bikes needed a full tune up but since they were 35 years old . Tofan the ownerexplained the new bike technology and showed us new affordable bikes which would be more comfortable for us, fitting our needs without any pressure, no rush, he even let us try the bikes before purchasing. I felt relaxed and trusted his advise but left did a little research on the internet returned and purchased the bikes he had advised!!!! We both are happy and we highly recommend fast bikes. ( very Covid safe)

I was here for like 15 minutes, didnt have an idea of what I want. I went out with a very good specialized sirrus, not expensive and very resistant. Although​ the sit was hard as rock, I bought a schwinn sit on walmart for 20 bucks and now is perfect

Went in for a new tire and some brake pads for my drift trike but guy gave me hella attitude and said if its not a bike youre at the wrong place last time I come here or tell any of my friends or family to come here. Theres no need to give a customer attitude even if its not a bike its the same tire and brake pads thats all I asked for. Not only that I was the second person he dealt with as I was there right at opening. This guy needs to get his attitude in check or a lot more customers wont be returning like me and everyone Im gonna share this with.

They always come thru whenever i need help. Just bought my son a fixie for his bday the other day and they made sure it was in tip top condition before i went home. Great place to go for your bike needs.

Bad Customer service!More than ten days waiting for small adjustment to my bike rear wheel, then when I went to pick it up they said I have to wait for four more days. Really what if I give then big job. How long it’s going to take? A year. Please be serious if you can’t handle don’t waste your and customer time.

These guys are top-notch and I am so pleased to have them in our area. I used to go to Reeds Sporting Goods, but they are gone, now. Fast Bicycle is even better than Reeds. They are very knowledgeable and their prices are very reasonable. I give high recommendations to Fast Bicycle.

8$ chain installation. Cheapest out of all bike shops. Tom/Tim gave it a check and was honest instead of taking my money and saying no work was needed. Anyone who wants a honest business to care for your bike, this is the place!

I have purchased multiple bikes from Tom because of the customer service and competitive prices. Tom will make sure that you are educated and well informed before you make a purchase. He made sure I had a chance to test ride multiple bikes, making sure that the sizing and fit was a match.On my last visit, I brought in a friend who was looking for a road bike. Tom spent an hour educating us on frame manufacturing, components, and geometry without pushing for a sale! I see the stellar reviews and wonder where the disconnect is. And I think it has to do with who is providing the customer service when you walk in. Recently I needed a derailleur adjustment and chose Fast Bike. I dropped the bike off with a fairly pleasant hispanic gent. But when picking it up I had the displeasure of dealing with a very curt person, who may have been the owner. Perhaps his discourtesy was due to my tan. I dont know, I dont care. All I can say is good luck running a small business in East San Jose with an attitude like that.Response to the owner:Nothing you said has changed my mind about what I saw and how I was treated. And what youre saying about an order I cancelled 2 months agomakes no sense. Because I saw another bike that I preferred elsewhere,I canceled my order. And I was so outraged that you fairly charged meshipping fees that I brought my new bike in to be serviced??? You say youre not a racist, glad to hear it. Then you are just unpleasant.Let me give you some advice, in case you are in business for another 40 years. Let the other guy do the customer facing. Honestly, you are not good at it.

So far, Ive had nothing but good experiences with this bike shop. The guys working there give great recommendations. Their prices and selection are quite competitive with other shops and online, despite their small size. They may not have every last model that interests you in stock, but Im pretty sure they could order and assemble just about anything from Giant and Specialized (apparently no Trek though). While Im no pushover, Im typically pretty easy to deal with, and I dont mind paying a fair price for something if I have the money. But my wife is an obsessive compulsive bargainer (shes Chinese, so yeah, its part of the culture), and she only recently immigrated, so it can be a bit of a shock for American stores to have to answer her constant pleas for discounts. Being her husband, Ive tried to explain to her that sometimes, if she expects to have quality service down the line, its better to accept a fair price and develop a relationship than to haggle for every last penny, but theres only so much I can get through to her. Thankfully, the guys at Fast Bike were firm but respectful, and understood that she was just doing her due diligence as a consumer. They dont seem to take anything personally, and I respect that. The quality of assembly is second to none. This is the type of bike shop where you wont necessarily get the best combo discounts or post-purchase service deals, but what you can count on is quality service and maintenance at reasonable prices. I would not hesitate to come back here for maintenance visits. There are some bigger bike shops in the area that have amazing discounts and bonuses when you buy a bike from them, but their ratings are consistently much lower, and they seem to get a lot of complaints. My guess is theyre only willing or able to provide a lower level of service for what they make, and they rely on volume to stay open. I think its a case of getting what you pay for. 6 months of free service excluding flats may not seem like a big deal from Fast Bike, but I feel confident that they will take care of our bikes without ripping us off going forward. The one major con is that they dont seem to carry very many accessories. They might have 1 or 2 choices of each accessory type that youre interested in, and the prices are hit or miss compared to online. I realize that comes with being a small shop, but it does unfortunately mean I will typically start my search for accessories online first and then wander into the store to see if they have any comparable products and/or prices. This makes it somewhat unlikely that I will do much accessory shopping from them. Whether or not you need accessories is a very personal thing. I like to ride at night, lock up my bike, go camping, vlog, and carry groceries, so obviously I need a few accessories to make all that happen. But if you just want to ride on trails during daylight, youll probably be fine without accessories, in which case this bike shop will have everything you need.

Ive been going to fast bikes since I was a kid buying my first Schwinn from the old man . I returned often to buy patches tubes or stickers to fix my friends bikes. I loved talking to the old man about bikes or just hanging out. I took my son to get his first bike from fast bikes. I noticed the change of attitude once the old man stopped working but looked past it. Today that legacy ended . I took my bike in to tru the front rim . I was told to return in six hours and so I did. Upon receiving my bike it seemed they worked on the back rim . I was told to return in another hour and a half. I returned and as I was told while dropping the bike off that the rim might be damaged unrepairable so it was. As I observed the rim I noticed at the base of thetwo spokes close to the damage area were two identical twists . I questioned why these were there and I was told that a stick might have done that and thats why its bent. Sticks dont bend a spoke in two different directions with the same space between the bends on two different spokes. Now I might have been born at night but not last night. I know that twisting a spoke with pliers is a quick fix or its a way to tell if the rim will repair without taking everything apart and wasting time. Let alone the plier marks on the spoke nut. Id post pics but its not an option here. It saddens me to think someone would misjudged my knowledge of bikes enough to mislead me. I wasnt charged but eight hours to accomplish nothing along with driving from Newark to visit the old shop. Take care fast bikes, I wish you the best . Ill miss the old man and the great memorys but times have changed.

Great customer service speedy and efficient. And prices are awesome! A rim and tire were going to run me bout $120 the owner fixed my rim and tire for $20 thank you and it was ready in less than 2 hrs.

The name doesnt do this place justice. Not only was the service fast, Tom and his team kept me under budget while going above and beyond to ensure top performance. I highly recommend this shop for routine maintenance and will be going back for more complicated fixes in the future.

I went there to buy some new bike parts the only person who nice to me was the young guy the 2 guys in the back had an attitude with me. I dont know if they treated me like this just because im young but they made me feel unwelcome. And they also forgot to give me my seat

Sabotage. I went in to get a new rear wheel. got them to change the tube and ruber to the new wheel. after weeks of the tube moving on me while I ride. I took it apart. not only were there gritty substances in the wheel Im completely missing my thorn guard.

This is where I bought my bike 4 yrs ago and its as tough as a tank! Im an avid mountain biker and I beat the crap out of my bike-it takes a lickn and keeps on tickn! Then when it comes time for a tune-up the mechanic here always does a great job-comes out of the shop riding like the first day I bought it; bran new! A few times the issue was so minor and took only a few minutes he didnt even chrage me. This is a great and honest bike shop and they are only a few minutes away from Alum Rock Park where they have some of the best biking trails. I highly recommend Fast Bicycle!

I took a bike in to get the front crankset replaced. I asked for the same model crankset to be put on my bike. I think the guys in the shop thought I wasnt the most knowledgeable about bikes so they replaced my crankset with an extremely cheap and non compatible crankset. The front derailleur was now shifting very poorly and had almost an inch gap over my largest chain ring (its supposed to be 2mm gap). Its almost impossible to adjust to get to shift and wont cycle more than half my gears. Ill have to buy a new crankset to replace the junk they put on my bike. Wasted 60 dollars on parts and labor at Fast Bicycle...
