Just received my Audi S5 back from German Auto Body today and it is in mint condition, as if it had never been in a collision. I was hit from the rear and pushed into the car in front of me. Besides extensive body damage, many of the electronics/radar/etc. was damaged. John is a perfectionist and that is to his customers benefit. German Auto Body made all the repairs and even sent the car to Audi to make sure all the safety and distance sensors were calibrated to factory standards. Its great to be able to take your vehicle somewhere where you know the work will be done right. John, Alexis, and team, thank you!

Would give 6 stars if I could!John and team - excellent work on fixing my Audi S4. I came in with a trunk that was pretty badly damaged during transport and the final outcome after German Auto Bodys work was flawless. The vehicle looked brand new and I was absolutely impressed with what you and your team pulled off. Thank you so much.Readers: If you have work that needs to be completed on any level of vehicle, stop looking and book your fix here. The staff is friendly and John is truly an expert in the field. Absolutely impressed. Period.

I have been bringing our family’s car for decades to John at German Auto Body. The quality of their work is excellent and John works with most insurance companies. He has even put aftermarket body parts on perfectly.Would and always have recommended German Auto Body to everyone I know that has needed help, especially with insurance companies.

John and company did an excellent job repainting my rear bumper after it was scraped in a parking lot. It looks like nothing ever happened, and the vehicle was detailed nicely when I received it. I would absolutely recommend German Auto Body.

Ive used this shop twice and had acceptable results. Most recently I ask shop to price match a auto body shop who gave me a lower price quote for some chip repair just $50 off. Well long story short German Auto Body Owner said cant do it. I just wanted to feel like I was getting a good deal. I did get several quotes from other shop for $700 the same price quoted to me by German Auto Body. Some owners just dont realize, to give me just $50 off would have kept me a customer for life and they would have made that $50 back in future work. For the record I would have been happy with $10 off.

My new car got side swiped, damaging the door and front fender extensively. Mark was able to repair the fender and replace everything else with OEM parts (as required by my leasing company). The work was done very quickly and Mark was great at communicating every step of the way. Couldnt be happier with the entire process and the results. Thanks again Mark!

Helpful, professional, and competent staff. The reception/admin staff were very friendly and provided great customer service. The repairs to my front and rear bumper look perfect. I took my 2001 BMW X5 in for repair after a fender bender where other driver was at fault. Folks at German Auto Body were super helpful and took excellent care of me and my car. They handled every aspect of my rental car needs, including calling the rental shop to pick me up, requesting an extension for rental car and when all was done, I just left the rental with German auto and they returned it for me. They negotiated with the insurance to get all of my OEM parts covered and to cover repair of previous incidental damage to my rear bumper. They were open on Saturday for convenient pickup and my car was beautifully detailed inside and out, and they gave me a shiny new BMW emblem for the hood. In my opinion, prices were reasonable for a shop specializing in German imports. Highly recommend this shop.

I took my 911 to German Auto Body after using Porsche’s website to locate an “approved collision center” in the Bay area. The initial repair estimate was woefully under the actual and the timeline increase from “a week or so” to nearly two months. Throughout the repair process numerous representatives from German Auto Body failed to provide direct answers on delays – the car was supposedly ready except for a “plastic door part that broke and needs to be replaced” became the car is waiting to be detailed and then will be ready for pick-up became “Porsche send a bumper that we painted and attached only to discover it is not the correct one for your car so we need to reorder from the factory.” I was repeatedly assured that despite the delay my car would be stored inside; my concern was that it is a convertible and it was the middle of summer. Unfortunately when I drove by German Auto Body on a random Sunday I found my car sitting in the full glare of the midday sun. When the repairs were finally completed I picked up my 911 to find it unwashed, undetailed, blessed with grease stains on one floor mat, and missing the lighter. While I think German Auto Body may have ultimately completed the repairs to my car and I can accept Porsche delivery issues are an external factor the lack of remotely decent customer service and communication pushes me to type this review. I suggest you look elsewhere for repairs on any car unless you want some extra drama and annoyance to jazz up your car repair experience.

German Auto Body delivers! I took my BMW 335i here a couple of years ago for some body work and they did an excellent job restoring the car to excellent condition. Fast forward a couple of years years, I go there today to get a license plate frame installed because of a ticket and they install it no questions asked. On top of that, they fixed up some gnarly scratches I had on the front bumper free of charge. Thats superb customer service if you ask me. I highly recommend them for any body work and have recommended them to many friends already.

This shop offers very poor customer service and is run by a dishonest slob (John). Take your money elsewhere if insurance is not covering your repairs.

Came here a while ago for a side impact on my 04 GLI. Originally I felt they did an absolutely great job but after I washed/detailed myself later on I found they pried off the side skirt with what looked to be a flat head screwdriver. This left little marks all around the side skirt. I didnt get my center cap/wheel lock tool back. The final nail in the coffin for me was my mirror falling off on the same side they had to do the work on while on a highway onramp.Work was quick and they did a great job repairing and blending the paint though. Maybe a lazy employee trying to get the job done too quick?

(for sake of privacy keeping excluding specifics)Bought my 2014 BMW which clocked just under 300 miles. Im a pretty defensive driver, but I managed to get 4 in x 3 in scratch on its front bumper, while turning against a wall (yep, stupid). My heart broke. It was a Sunday afternoon and I googled body shops to get an estimate. I went to this neighborhood traveling street-by-street - looking for an open bodyshop on Sunday afternoon. Not many were. Stopped at the first one (not this) with excellent Google reviews. Though, got a ridiculous estimate! I was about to head home (SF), when I saw this place on my way back...I stopped here and here are two reasons why I loved it1. When I stopped by, the owner, John, pulled in. The shop was actually closed! Still John agreed to take a look at the bumper scratch ***great customer empathy!***2. After looking at the scratch, he went in for a couple of minutes and brought a cloth with him. Wiped across the scratch and boom! - the scratch was gone 90%. My first reaction was Is that a magic cloth?. He said Lacquer thinner calmly*** Honesty in business.***I asked him for a casual quote. His was 1/2 of what the other shop said.Bottomline: Get a quote from this place if, in an unfortunate case, you need one. Especially if you are paying out of pocket.P.S. - I still have to get the service done. Will update the review when I do it :)
