I’m really not one to write bad reviews even if it was a bad experience, but I cannot believe the amount of trouble I have had with this AAMCO. First off I went in and had my transmission rebuilt approx $4000.00. I than had them fix my A/C compressor $1000.00. I received a 12month 18000 mile warranty on the transmission. About 17500 miles on the rebuilt transmission it completely goes out. This happens while I’m driving my family on vacation in Dallas TX. The AAMCO in TX where I took it to cover the warranty told me he was waiting on approval to do the work. That took 1 week. The second week stuck in TX was the AAMCO IN Scottsdale looking for a new rebuild somewhere in the country that was cheap enough for them to buy. The AAMCO in Dallas found several in the Dallas Area but apparently the owner of this AAMCO was too cheap to cover. They finally found one after 2 weeks and told me it would be another week to get it to Dallas. Or I could buy a transmission myself from the dealership down the road and that transmission would have 3year 100000 mile warranty. Cost to me $2800. So I bought the new transmission and had them install it. Oh and on a side note, the first air compressor they replaced broke within months they repaired at no cost and just today 2 months after they replace again it stops working. I really wanted to like this place, but I’m going to have warn people off. This AAMCO either doesn’t know what they are doing professionally or don’t care. The owner doesn’t stick to his warranty and has no sense of customer service. STAY AWAY

WOWWW! First of all the customer service from Jonathan was hands down the BEST auto service ever. He treats ALL of their customers with respect and genuine care. His ability to create personable relationships with customers is amazing. Secondly, the team does such a good job at make you feel like a priority. Even with one man out, they had my car in and out in less than 2 weeks. When I got my car, the alignment was off, and they took it in for an alignment the morning after. They take SUCH GOOD CARE. Could not have asked for better service from AAMCO Scottsdale. (:

My car was barely running so I took it in because the check engine light came on as well. I’m not sure if the repairs they said I need were warranted.But I took them at their word it in a cost me over $1400 and 1 weeks time to get my car back. What was especially disappointing was that someone or some persons there took my personal belongings five or six things were missing at least. I noticed it before I even left but the manager was unwilling to admit that anyone there would take my things. But I’m sure I’m missing at least five or six things I use on a regular basis in my car. Like a cell phone charger cord the place to plug it in because I use an adapter. I’ll keep an extra battery back up there which is also missing. And a few other smaller things all gone no responsibility taken.

What an amazing shop! Johnathan was a huge help, and they got me back on the road in a timely manner considering how big the repair was. The ownership was very willing to work with me and help me in any way they could. Will go back in the future!

Jonathan was amazing. After a bad experience at the dealership that left my fiancé stranded on the side of the road, he was with us every step of the way. This was the easiest, most professional, and courteous service I have ever received. They were detailed in their explanation, thorough in their analysis and we had our vehicle back faster than we could have asked for. If you’re ever in need of service on you’re vehicle come see Jonathan and his team, they will make you feel right at ease.

The people there work hard and are also very kind. Jonathan at the front desk was especially nice, helped us find future work prices and helped us generally get work done.

I had the most excellent service through Aamco Transmission Total Car Care Services. The staff is super friendly easy to get along with & the prices just cant b beat. Anton the shop manager was amazing totally helped me out during the times that were tough for me right now & I had been laid off & then we opened back up at my job & then got shut down again & I was put on furlough & so things were tough my funds were extremely super tight, but at Aamco w/Anton and his crew they ensured me that things would be okay & they would definitely get me set up right in which they did & they totally kept me satisfied 100% They went above & beyond to help me get my car repaired & serviced completely & It runs like a champ after having it serviced there. I wouldnt think about going anywhere else to have anything else done to my car for serviceing except back to Aamco w/Anton & his Awesome Crew!! We were told we did not need to wear a mask. We kept our mask on. None of the staff wore a mask. However they did our inspection and we were pleased with the service

This place is a bait and switch God explained lots of things to the salesman who was just trying to get the sale and pitch his excellence... Which its not they are a bunch of game players I didnt decide to go with there outrageous quote of almost 3 times what my cars worth to get a transmission then I asked about remanufactured units and they tried to gank me there too found 1000$ rebuild and trying to get my car outta there the guy wants to play games the manager of the shop is late to work waited almost 30 minutes for him when I called the day prior to make sure my car would be ready for pickup... Lazy slackers

Got a free inspection and (ballpark) estimate on the transmission issues i was having on my 2006 Ford Mustang. Although I decided to go a different route Michael was very forthcoming and helpful. I enjoyed a nice personal conversation with him and it is my belief he had my best interests at heart and was not pushing me to make any brash decisions in order to make a sale. Guys like him are invaluable in this field and Im thankful for his time and genuine concern with my personal life and financial situation.

Excellent find. Great service, transparent on pricing, easy to work with. I decided to give these guys a try instead of bringing my Chevy Spark into the dealership (who has been doing my work until now). Im glad I did. I saved money and had a much better experience working with this AAMCO. Would highly recommend this place for your routine service needs.

Short Answer: Initially, I was going to give this AAMCO several stars but after a follow up telephone call to discuss a dashboard light, the manager went off on an angry tirade because I dared to question his why the dash indicator was on immediately after he serviced it. The manager has a serious attitude problem. He kept referring to me as you people. I never got to explain the nature of my request, which was to ask if the light was too serious to drive the car out of town for a few days. I was verbally abused by the manager for attempting to ask questions about what could possibly be wrong immediately after they serviced it. I cannot recommend this AAMCO in Scottsdale. Try the AAA Mechanics on McDowell RD at Miller. They seem competent with no chip on their shoulders.Longer Answer: I brought my car in for a transmission fluid change, which is around $250. The technicians found other issues with the suspension that needed repair to which I agreed. At that time I felt that I was being treated fairly. I got a call from the manager that the car was road tested and ready for pick up. I paid a little over $1700 for all the parts and labor. A little shocked but if it needed to be done and it was done correctly then I can accept it. The manager told me if any lights are on to bring the car back and they would get right on it. I thought that was a weird thing to say as I paid for work already done.I started the car and its traction stablization light was showing that there was a problem. I was in a hurry and couldnt spare the time to go back in to discuss the light at that point.I called the next morning. I told the manager the light was on. He said bring it in and well see what needs to be done. As I began to point out that AAMCO just returned the car to me at $1700 plus repairs, why would the light be on when I picked it up. I didnt get two words out when the manager lets into me about professional elites and how I would never let anyone question my service so how dare I question his operation. He said were the professionals not you. I let him tirade on for 30 or 40 seconds. At the end he said emphatically, bring it in and well see whats wrong with it. I politely declined and disconnected the call.The workmanship seems adequate but the manager is bitter and abusive to customers who have questions about what things mean. I was looking to him for answers but instead was verbally abused over the phone. I cannot recommend this AAMCO in Scottsdale.

This place is great! They are really professional and communicate with their customers often to give updates and to get authorizations if any work needs to be performed. Theyre really honest and I have never felt misled by them. I dropped my car off right before they closed on Saturday and heard from them by 8:30 on Monday (theyre closed on Sunday.) This place is definitely someplace that I know I can take my car and I will be treated fairly. (Theyre also less expensive than the dealerships, which is really great.)

Wouldn’t recommend getting anything catalytic converter related done here. Took my car in hoping to get it the catalytic converter fixed and turns out there’s a “process” which includes paying out of your behind until they determine whether or not the catalytic converter needs to be replaced. Dont come here to get anything catalytic converter done!

No good they rip you off and have no respect. Take advantage of people especially women. All they want is your money and take your truck or car apart without asking you first. I would not recommend anyone to go there. Not good service very, very rude manager.

I tried out aamco after learning it had ties to a veteran and i was very well taken care of. the new owner helped me immensely and made me feel comfortable. brian answered all of my (many) calls/ questions and he was very upfront about any costs. i felt it was very fair pricing and it was done in a timely manner. i was even offered a ride while my car was there. i cant recommend enough. very nice people and local feel:) new management/owner and definitely worth the try!

MUST READ!!! I rarely write reviews, but I HAVE TO!This is one of the most COURTEOUS PROFESSIONAL, NO GIMMICKS, HONEST, TIMELY, and FAIR PRICED repair shops I have ever been to! The minute I walked in, I was greeted by Michael, who was sooo busy, but took the time to smile, shake my hand and LISTEN! This guy assured me the best care for my car and, being a BMW I was nervous about the price...my car had leaked transmission fluid and was suddenly shaking, sliding out of gear, and, according to him, the car was 48 hours from needing a $4800 rebuild if I kept driving on it...Not only did he fill the transmission fluid which was bone dry, he fixed the leak, sealed it, parts, labor for barely $400....and it needed a lot of TLC! There are a lot of places to choose from, especially when in a hurry and on a budget...Michael and his staff CHECK ALL THE BOXES! Reread this....and go see him for your car needs! I actually brought him and his worker 2 Coors lights for an amazing job....:) Thanks! EricPS....just went again in 7-2019 and Jeff is the best there is! He listens and does excellent work! Took my Escalade in for a trans fluid and filter change. The price was fair and it was done in a reasonable amount of time. I also dropped of a 700R4 transmission for a performance build. The price was on track with what performance transmission shops charge. It looks good I hope to have it installed in the vehicle in the next week or so to make sure it works as it should. UPDATE:Regrettably I must admit that I am no longer impressed by this shop. My car was ready this afternoon and after having a few work meetings run into eachother I couldnt leave to pick it up until 5. I figured no biggie, they are open until 5:30, Ive been here numerous times. While Im on my way to the shop i get a text from the NEW manager (whom I met yesterday morning when dropping it off) saying he was closing up for the night... At 5:10!!! I was really shocked that they were even closing early to begin with but i was very off put by the fact that he couldnt wait until their ACTUAL closing time since I was already on my way. Im very sad that Michael is no longer with the shop, he was always looking out for customers and went that extra mile.I cant say enough good things about Michael and his team. Ive taken my car into them twice now and both times they have been so kind, caring and efficient in getting my repairs done. I was also surprised at the discounts I received for being a loyal customer! I also love that AAMCO provides financing options so that I dont have to stress about a big repair.

Best auto care in AZ!..Best AAMCO in the Valley!Went in to have routine service check up on my 09 Toyota Corolla. A full inspection was complete, timely, and very thorough. I could tell that they took very good care of my car and were extremely professional throughout the entire process.When it came time to give the report of what was needed to be done, I was pleasantly surprised that I was not getting over charged or saw things that were just tacked on to make a buck. My Corolla is at the 90k mile mark and new it was time to fix a few things and had in mind what items/parts needed to be fixed or replaced.The price of the labor and parts seemed lower than expected as the dealership was asking much more.Highly recommend this AAMCO to anyone in search of a honest repair shop, looking for accurate pricing and a friendly staff.

We cant say enough about what Terry and his crew accomplished for us. Last week I drove my family from the Denver area to visit my WWII Vet Father in-law and his wife for a Thanksgiving Day feast with the entire family. The day before Thanksgiving we arrived to Scottdale and immediately noticed a terrible clunking noise and a whine in our Suburban. Knowing the following day was Thanksgiving I knew no shops would be available to help us out. AAMACO has always been the only name I trust in transmission work so I looked them up. Nightmares ran through my head on how to get my family home by Sunday. Friday morning I stopped by and met Terry and explained our predicament. He calmly assured me that they would take a look and get back to me. 30 min go by and he calls with the dreaded news... The transmission needs a complete overhaul. He informs me they had a rebuilt replacement ready to go.All in all Terry and his crew were able to replace our transmission in one day. They even stayed late on a Friday to ensure our vehicle was running correctly. Our family is deeply indebted to Terry and his crew for making this catastrophe into a non-event.I have to say Terry and his crew are Modern Day Super Heros!!

Ken has gone above and beyond to help me! I couldnt afford the repair all at once and hes letting me do payments. Just have to leave my car at the shop till its paid off which is 100% understandable.AAMCO has and always will be my go to shop. Never had any issues with any repairs theyve done to my vehicle. I took my car to another shop once and it seemed like they wanted to charge an arm and a leg for unnecessary things. Brought it to AAMCO for a 2nd opinion and was reassured my car was fine. They didnt look for something to make money on after their vehicle check. They dont take advantage of you here and as a female customer I cant say enough how much I appreciate that!

Brought my car in for a check after my clutch pedal didnt have any pressure. When they called me an hour or so later they told me what they thought the issue was and also told me I needed new brakes and a new clutch - I asked what I owed them and the owner said For checking it out? Nothing. I told him I would pick it up and bring it to the dealership closer to my home. When I picked up the car he charged me $80. I understand that generally theres a fee for diagnostics - but dont tell me I dont owe you anything.Also, when I brought the car to the dealership they told me I didnt need a new clutch and my brakes were just fine.

I took the car in when a problem occurred and the check engine light came on. After spending $900, got the car back. The next day the check engine light came on and the problem occurred again. The manager asked for a second chance. I brought the car in again. When I got the car back, the check engine light and the problem came up again. Took the car to another place and it was fixed perfectly.

Awesome place. I tried to change out the transmission fluid on my Explorer, yeah newer ones dont have a filler in the engine compartment. Limped it to AAMCO after speaking to the manager who said they had an open bay. They did a full transmission service and after arriving to pick it up the manager went outside with me and showed me a couple of things that needed my attention. He knew I did a lot of work on the SUV on my own so he showed me some conserns in case I wanted to fix them. Really awesome, Im appreciate theyre honesty and willingness to help me out. Im struggling to remember the managers name right now, I think it was Ken, dont quote me on it yet. I do have some things I want them to fix for me so Ill be back.

My car was acting gutless and not much power, and seemed like it was getting worse as time went by. I came to Aamco and Ken inspected my car and told me that I possibly have a blocked cadilac converter. He said that he doesnt feel comfortable in dealing with exhaust issues and suggested I see someone else. I appreciate his honesty. It is refreshing to have honesty in car repair.

Wow just wow is all I can say. These guys quoted me $5000 to put a new engine in after my heat meter was all the way up. I had a crack in my radiator with flooded out when I was driving and they said that I need to replace the engine because the engine was done when really the only thing that needed to be done was the radiator.To top it off after I paid a $375 diagnostic fee (insane) I came to pick up my car with AAA and I get it back to my house. That night I popped my hood to take a look and they forgot to put back on the drive belt, the 6 ignition coils, a fuse, the air intake hose compartment and all the hood covers.These guys are scum bags do not ever go here

Anthony and company did an amazing job of taking care of my a/c problem. They found the issue and dealt with it in an amazingly professional manner and at a price which was actually less than originally quoted. They have secured my business for any future vehicle dilemmas which I find myself in.

This is the worst I ever been treated with AAMCO. Ive payed over $9000 and my truck is still not working. I taken it back to get it fixed the second time. They went out of their way to find something to void my warranty. And they did. They voided my warranty due to a faulty odometer. I hate what AAMCO stands for. I dont recommend AAMCO to anyone. This is happening to thousand of people for years. Someone needs to investigate why they treat people so awful. Customers including me, need justice. This is wrong. They dont even deserve one star. 6/18/2019

FANTASTIC! I can not say enough about the Scottsdale AAMCO. I have had Jens and the team work on my car several times and the experience has gone above and beyond. I would STRONGLY suggest working with Jens and his staff for all of your car needs.

Well,they saw me coming bent over! In April my transmission dropped into low gear as i was going at a high rate of speed. New amcco would be higher than somewhere else but had no choice. Any way. Left it, was told they could hook it up to computer and see whats up. Get a call later to inform me computer showed nothing, no cost yet. Now want my permission to take it out at a cost of $600! Pretty much screwed from here on! I said yes,took it apart and said needs rebuilding. Get it back rebuilt, a few weeks later had to bring it in! Bushing on tail piece was hanging on shaft. This was one of the other issues originally. They stood by the warranty and hammered it back in. Said drive shaft out of ballance. Professional said otherwise. Couple weeks later dropped into 2nd gear and stayed there, cleared up the next day so i took it BACK down there, told me to drive it and if it happened again to come back. Happened again! This time said it sounded like an electrical issue. Gave me a name of a place to go! At my cost! Instead i took it to another amcco. The did hook it up to there computer and did find a EGR code coming up but nothing about transmission. Put it up on lift and had a look. Unpluged the speed sensor at the tailpiece and found fluid in the electric plug! This told him bad sensor. This was done at no cost and they told me i was actually suposse to be at least 100 miles to have another amcco look at it as a warranty! Great guys! So short recap, transmission has done the exact same thing 3 different times. Took it to my mechanic who fixed the speed sensor for $100 counting the part! Truck has been great! Sit in that store and listen to manager tell custmers word for word what he originally told me!!! Learned the hard way almost $2000 later that another amcco found the issue with the old sensor! $40.00 part! GREAT JOB RIPPING PEOPLE OFF! ONLY REASON YOU GOT ONE STAR WAS THE ONLY WAY I COULD POST!!!

Anthony at Aamco takes care of people. Flat out. I highly recommend him and his shop to service your vehicle. I took my Silverado in to have some minor work done and I couldnt be happier about the service I received and more importantly the honest work his shop did. I shopped around and not only was the pricing the best, but the customer service was unbeatable.

My name is Jacob Lee and Jans the owner has stole $263.87 from me $149.99 of it they never did anything for. I took my tahoe in because the ac was not blowing cold and they told me they found some leaks (that were not actually leaks) I gave them the go ahead to fix them. Once they realized they were wrong they said it was my ac compressor its self that was leaking and to buy a new one. So what did I do I went and bought a brand new compressor (the old one was perfectly fine). Guess what it did not fix my issue. Finally had a reputable shop look at it and it was my evaporator the whole time. $1000.00 later and it was only a $97.00 part that needed to be replaced. I paid them the $263.87 for repairs and for an ac service once the new compressor was on. The manager quit before I got the ac service and told me he did not believe me and talked to the manager as did I. The manager told him to give me the money back because 1 thing they never even did and the other because it was all lies. Steer clear of this shop they are theives and will rip you off!!!! $

I couldnt get my Focus to the shop but guys at 2727 N Scottsdale Aamco brought my car in and was so helpful to get my car back to me.

Went in for a simple fluid check and they tried to charge me for a full engine diagnostic after hearing the ludacris price, i called my local subaru dealer and took it to them wear they ran a diagnostic and said all that was needed was a simple change of fluids, these guys are braindead @ aamco

Only 300,000 mi. and reverse goes out, and its christmas time. Rick and his crewwent to work, far above any expectations I had considering the circumstances.This shop is run by pros and it showes. Ive been in biz 36 years seen a lot, this is how a busness should be run. Ill recomend this place to every one and tell them thier foolish to go elsware

What kind of mechanic shop doesnt hold premium oil! They had to order it, then it took forever! Then they even shorted me on fluid because I checked. Im sure they over charged me for fluid also!
