I normally only buy private party, but what I was looking for was not coming up. I took a chance and ended up a great pleasure working with him. Treated me like a human being, super courteous/respectful, was knowledgeable & patient with all my questions, definitely didnt pressure. The Escape was in excellent condition - the price extremely reasonable - and he didnt add ridiculous unnecessary fees, just the tax. A very simple, hassle-free process. He was so kind to discount the price even further discovering the sunroof only vented. He went out of his way to deliver my car, as well! This was the best experience of buying a used car for us. We got a 2013 Nissan leaf and the price advertised was not far of from the final price paid with license, taxes and doc fees. Other car dealerships we went to increased the prices advertised by a few thousand dollars vs what Arizona Hybrid charged was very minimal of a few hundred more and most of that was the 8% sales tax. Advertised price was $5999 and out the door our cost was about $6670. Chapman BMW was selling a used leaf for $6999 but out the door was closer to 10k with all their added fees. We would definitely look to purchase from Arizona Hybrid in the future.

What a great buying experience, and Kevin, the owner, is great to work with. I purchased a vehicle and returned home, 200 miles from Scottsdale. I drove the car for a couple of days and the car had some things about it that I didnt really care for. I called Kevin on a Saturday and visited with him. He was very willing and accommodating when addressing my concerns about the car. In our conversation, he agreed to let me bring the car back and trade it for a 2014 Volt that he also had for sale. Kevin went above and beyond to help us understand hybrid cars, and he gave us as much information as he could to help us gauge the condition of the used Prius we were purchasing. Kevin had already taken it to Toyota to be inspected and had replaced the windshield, air filter, done an oil change, and fixed the recalls on the model prior to our arrival. I recently bought a Ford Escape Hybrid, my first hybrid ever and rarely do I buy from a dealer. I called Kevin on a Sunday and was surprised he answered (expected to get an answering machine for a business). He took the time to educate me on Escapes in general, and offered to show me the car later in the week.I bought it and was very pleased overall. However, within 24 hours I had both TPMS light and one other issue popup. Kevin resolved both issues with no hesitation. I was looking for a hybrid and a decent price. I was going back and forth with people on Craigslist. Trying to find a reputable car, that had been inspected and essentially something that wouldn’t die on me within the next few year. I came across Kevin and Arizona Hybrid cars. I called and set up and appointment for later that day. I test drove 3 different cars and he educated me on all of them. He provided all the Carfax’s and vehicle history for me. This is my first hybrid and my first car. Kevin made the entire process pretty much pain free. I showed up a few days later with a check and he had all the paperwork done and ready for me. Any questions I had or concerns he was able to hold my had along the way. I’ll be back and will be recommending them to others looking for a hybrid.

After 35 days and 829 miles driven on a 6 year old Prius I bought from this dealership, the check engine light came on and I ended up losing THOUSANDS. Kevin seems like a decent enough guy and was pleasant during the buying process, but please beware, buying a used hybrid is a MAJOR gamble. Watch Scotty Kilmer’s YouTube videos titled “Why not to buy a used hybrid car” and “Watch this before buying a hybrid car”. Just realize what you’re getting into and bring a great mechanic to thoroughly check out any used hybrid car you are considering buying from this dealership or any other. I really hope this post can help prevent other people from experiencing the same kind of financial loss and considerable stress that I’ve had to endure.

Initially note that the cup holder was stuck closed; notified sellers and not only did he come over right away, he made a special trip to the BMW dealership, purchased the part & installed it free of charge the same day. We purchased a car for my wife to drive when we winter in Az. We purchased a 2005 VW convertible. The car looks and runs like new. Kevin went way beyond what a normal dealer would do to make things perfect. We have purchased 21 vehicles in our 50 years of marriage and this was by far the best experience we have ever had.

It was my first time buying a car and I knew Hybrid vehicles would be the best option for gas mileage so I relied on Arizona Hybrid Cars on getting a Ford Fusion Hybrid. Took a test drive and it drove perfectly fine upon purchasing the vehicle on my way home on the freeway the vehicle shutdown and almost left me in the middle of the freeway (I almost got hit twice!) luckily I had enough speed to maneuver to the side and I called back the salesman (Kevin) told him the situation and he took the car back to get it repaired. While it was getting repaired I looked up the VIN number and noticed there was an auction listing with the same VIN... the vehicle has suffered severe front end damage. I talked to Kevin about it he basically didnt believe that was the same vehicle that I bought. After getting it delivered back to me (which was nice). I drove for some months had my A/C compressor break (-$800). Noticed some odd behavior with my vehicle and took it to a shop and they told me Im having transmission issues ($-1000, which I didnt pay). At that point Ive considered this vehicle a total loss Im shocked that the title isnt a salvage title. After speaking with Kevin, I told him that you guys should do more research into the cars youre selling, he told me that they do but obviously not if you dont even know the car you sold to me was in an accident. I ended up buying my dream SUV 2015 Ford Interceptor Utility for $16,000 with 34k miles at a different place in Phoenix, still works perfectly and very proud to own. Oh, and I obviously got ripped off of the purchase with the Ford Fusion he sold me the vehicle at $6,000 (not even worth that amount). I still own the vehicle but only because my work requires me to have a good gas mileage vehicle but the moment I leave my job Ill sell this vehicle immediately. UPDATE 7/3/20: Re-reading my review I noticed I made a few errors, the $1000 for trans issues was not correct. Instead, it was $1000 for suspension to be rebuilt which I ended up paying for later on. The $800 I spent was on the A/C Condenser not the compressor. To address the owners reply: If your mechanics were highly skilled they would have noticed the front suspension needing replaced (due to previous front-end damage) and obvious body work that would have alerted you to the fact that it was indeed in a wreck previously. Now to address further issues in your response. It doesnt matter if I wasnt completely interested in buying a Ford Fusion what matters is that you should have notified your customer (me) that the vehicle was previously wrecked and was rebuilt. ALSO Carfax doesnt always show a cars history accurately. A simple VIN search on google would have showed you the vehicle was wrecked. Third, I didnt expect for you to buy the vehicle back rather, swap it with the same make & model that was in better condition. In addition, Ive driven it 50k miles so far and it runs okayish having issues with traction control being faulty, chews through the front tires, the frame work being poor so it makes an annoying metal twisting sound. The vehicle also takes a dangerously long time to accelerate and sucks at being a hybrid (those two issues Im pretty sure are just issues with Fords old Hybrid technology in general and it being a CVT Transmission)
