Great coffee and delicious food. The breakfast burrito was delicious, and a good portion. The inside was cozy and clean, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Then we got some cookies and a muffin for dessert: again, delicious.

Breakfast Burrito was surprisingly delicious. It was very flavorful and a little spicy heat, big for me but not man-sized for the price. We both recommend the burrito! The coffee was a tad disappointing. Both of our coffee’s tasted weak to us, which is shocking since they take the time and effort to roast. It’s odd that the place doesn’t smell like coffee either, we all noticed that. I got the orange cardamom which is mild, honey like sweetened flavor and was uniquely wonderful but in their coffee mellowed out. My spouse got the mocha, also not very flavorful in coffee or chocolate but ok. Staff was friendly, wore masks at counter, and helpful. Love having alternative milk options. Nice vibe but in an eclectic older plaza.

Came to try this place out. Wasn’t sure what to get and you can’t really go wrong with vanilla flavor so I got a vanilla iced latte. It was delicious! Not to sweet and not to bitter. It was good. The place has lots of seats and couches. They have a couple of chairs in the front of the building. Also they do serve food here as well.They do have WiFi.Also they have a house almond milk which they make. I haven’t tried it but it sounded intriguing.Also check in on yelp and get 10% off.

This little coffee shop can be hard to spot. Keep looking and youll stumble on to it. The espresso is good and theres a modest variety of baked and made-to-order eats available. The staff was friendly and our order came out fast. It has a good vibe but the music can be a little loud for midday pontificating. Definitely a solid non-Starbucks coffee shop option. I didnt give it five stars because the avocado toast, albeit delivering on taste, ingredients, and plating, seemed a tad paltry for the $8 price point.

I searched Google for top patio coffee shops in my area and Maverick was listed as closest. I was hoping to sit outdoors; however, there is only one table out front and it was taken. I found plenty of space inside. A helpful guy took my order and when asked, highly recommended their house made almond milk as an alternative to dairy. It turned out delicious; creamy w/ a light mocha flavor. The teeny tiny slice (3 x 1) of a delivered-to-the-shop cherry pastry was dense & heavy with butter with 2 small pieces of cherry on the top only. I will definitely be back for the iced mocha. The inside has a decent vibe and the music has a good beat. For 9 am on a Saturday there is still space available to sit. Family and pet friendly.

Coffee places are typically somewhat quiet and this one group was so loud it sounded like happy hour at 10am on a Wed. Other patrons left in irritation because they could not get work done.Again, great coffee place but I wish it wasnt a coffee social hour.

Okay, this place is SUPER DOPE. Great atmosphere, chill, listenable music, friendly baristas, and super tasty coffee.I got an iced mocha, and it was JUST like I like it: sweet, but not like gross candy sweet. AND it had a wonderful espresso taste. I got the espresso roast that the barista explained as “sweeter,” and I loved it.The music is my taste. It was just some chill, alternative, slightly electronic stuff. Like you’d expect from a dope kinda hipster European coffee house.The decor was warm and comforting. Use of wood texture, white tile with black grout behind the menus, orangey lighting. Big place too.A lot of people were there on a Wednesday morning but my wife and I found room to sit and comfortably chat. PERFECT volume to where it’s not loud BUT you don’t feel awkward trying to have sensitive conversation.HUGELY RECOMMEND. Love it.

Coffee is great, but this location needs help. We arrived and followed the instructions on the sign to order and have them bring it out. After about 20 minutes of still not having anything, walked in and they had an attitude saying we have to call. No where on the sign does it say that and we put our car type on the order. Will not return based on the rudeness of the staff.

This little place has a deceiving exterior. Hidden in a strip mall is a clean open environment with modern aesthetic with some comfy seating. Not too bright even on a summer day provides some respite from the Az sun. Has some great cold brew in a beautiful setup.

The only place in the state that Ive seen offer CBD shots in their coffee. That alone puts this place on the map. Oh and they offer pumpkin spice lattes year-round. Homemade milks. Good stuff 👍

There Mocha is delicious. The tiny donuts at about 3 bucks each is way to high for one bite. But good coffee and thats the point.

Soooooooooooo good!!!! Ive been hearing about this place for a while now on up and finally decided that today was the day to try it! Im impressed with their food!!! For breakfast I got a prosciutto stuffed crossaint and a iced jasmine latte and both were great! But then I kept noticing people with the bacon egg and cheddar bagel sandwich and before I knew it i gave in and ordered it for lunch!!! I put some hot sauce on it and seriously soooooooo YUUUUUUUMMMMM!!! next time I want to try the avocado toast, its looking pretty epic as well. I love the atmosphere here! Its loud with chatter of customers yet were still able to have out our laptops and work! Aside from tables and high tops, there are also several couches and comfy chairs for a more relaxed time. Also, the employees are friendly and helpful when you ask questions! Theres just something awful annoying when the baristas are all snooty and act like your dumb when you ask a question about the menu!!! Liiiiiiike, hello theres a reason WHY I dont work here...I dont know enough about coffee!!!! Hee, hee!!! But you dont have to worry about that here, the employees are awesome!!! Great local coffee house with an amazing atmosphere and coffee/espresso. The staff are all very friendly and this is an ideal spot to get work done or catch up with someone.They even have a private room you can use if you want to have a meeting. I would say think hipsterish for the feel but not as pretentious which usually accompanies the hipsters.

ABSOLUTELY had to come to this place due to my name being Maverick. I worked at Starbucks for two years so I’m pretty tied to their coffee, but this was great! I got an iced dirty chai and my mom got a hot one and they were very good.. we also had a cookie that was vegan or something honestly can’t remember what it was but it was soo good! I would love to come back when I’m in Phoenix again!

If you like flavorful smooth java made to a perfect (non mouth destroying) temp...this is the place to go. It doesnt look like much on the outside....its in a totally unassuming strip mall. But once you step inside...take in the cool music...meet the funky and fun staff...your excitement grows! Grab your drink and a nibble, plunk down in a chair, and you will get it...how great this place is. I cannot wait to go back! If I came here before work...I would never make it to.work. :)

I ate lunch at Clarys Cafe and had a specialty sandwich, shrimp salad. I must say.. totally amazing Bread fresh and shrimp as well.

Espresso drinks of a very high caliber. Their version of a cortado is called a piccolo, perhaps a little shorter than a traditional cortado, but every bit as good. There is a great selection of excellent pastries as well, usually a savory as well as sweet croissant options.

Love their coffee and tea. However, the online order system is not working well. I ordered online and got the message that the order was ready. I arrived 5 mins late and my order was not still there yet. I had to wait for my order. And this was not the first time I experienced the same issue.

Maverick has a very warm, welcoming feeling when you walk in. Tons of room to do homework, hangout, catch up with friends, etc. the coffee was also excellent. Overall, a wonderful place to grab a cup of coffee.

Bring headphones if you want peace as it can get loud with chatter and music. Not too loud though - still a good vibe. I would LOVE to see more vegan options here. The food is not healthy (sugar and animal product). They do sometimes offer an expensive little veg-salad but bring your own snacks if you care about health. I enjoy working here!

Wow, excellent first-time experience. Maverick has adapted to COVID very well. We pulled into the parking spot to see he entire menu posted on the outside of the coffee shop with instructions on how to order online for curbside delivery/pickup. As we were entering the order into our phone, Barista Jenny came out with a mask on and said shed be happy to take our order with her computer right there. Jenny was very proactive and friendly! When we ordered two v60s, Jenny was excited about making delicious pour overs for us! Not at all miffed about spending a little extra time on the cups, like some other local coffee shops. I told Jenny I like sweeter coffee on the lighter side and she immediately recommended the Ethiopian, which turned out to be an amazing cup of coffee. We also ordered two mochas and a breakfast burrito, which I am happy to report were all delicious. Its the first time Ive found quality coffee and breakfast burritos in the same place!! Five stars, will be returning.

What a great atmosphere! Being a college student, it is always great to find those nice places to study and Maverick is one of those! The coffee is great and they used to have really good grilled cheese sandwiches which is why I docked a star because they are not as great as they used to be unfortunately! Overall, it is a really great place to have a meeting, catch up with a friend, or study and get work done!

Tried this place for the first time. Did the drive thru where you park in the front. Had my coffee order brought out. Rather than put my two coffee cups on a carry tray I was served individually that ultimately landed on my lap. Nothing like having scolding hot coffee served on you on your lap.

Good coffee but the croissant was the worst I have ever had, unfortunately. It was probably something from the freezer. Not fresh, tons of sugar, not good quality chocolate used. Pastry was terrible quality. I am a big fan of your homemade almond milk latte though. Please find a quality baker for your croissants.

Sorry Maverick, three strikes and you are OUT!!!!!! want to like this place but the service is horrible!!!!! Ive been here 3 times now and my experience has been the same each time. Staff is rude which I can handle but they cant keep track of a pour over, I wait at least 10 minutes before checking on it is either not started or they started it and forgot about it! Go across the street to Sip. Coffee may not be as good but way better service. Advise to Maverick owner, Train your staff!!!!

I moved to the area a few months ago and have been trying different coffee shops around the area and this shop is for sure the best I have found in Scottsdale. GREAT coffee beans. Flavoring can be strong on sweet drinks, so I always request half-sweet.

It didnt take long for us to become regulars. We live quite a distance away so its our weekly treat on weekends. Coffee and espresso are excellent. Try the cinnamon rolls - you wont be disappointed. Worth every calorie. Laid back atmosphere with comfy couches and free wifi. Good place to study or work (if you unfortunately need to).

I just walked back to my hotel room from Maverick and was so blown away that Im compelled to write a quick review before heading out for a meeting - Without reservation I must say that the espresso I had was the BEST espresso Ive had in the USA since I lived in Italy 28 years ago. The atmosphere is laid back, comfortable, perfect for a quick shot or a morning meet up. I regret that I will only have one more opportunity to have a shot since I leave tomorrow morning.
