Seriously the best staff ever. Today while visiting my 3yr old decided to squirt hand sanitizer from the little station and it went directly into her eyes. The lady that was helping us sprang into action and immediately got water and paper towels to flush her eyes out.her quick action made a speedy recovery for my daughter. The only thing I regret was not catching her name.

I love going to The north Scottsdale Ulta salon at 16231 North Scottsdale Rd. for my hair appointments. Love having my hair done with Chris and Anna for their hair knowledge. I’ve seen Anna twice now for my color and cut and I am very pleased.I would highly recommend anyone looking to change up their color, like I do often, as well their haircut, to ask for Anna. I would also recommend Chris for the same services. I’m glad that Ulta has two professionals working in their hair department that I can rely on. Cindy

This ULTA has been great, terrible, and in-between. The one time I asked for assistance in finding a foundation, I left almost in tears, so I won’t be doing that again… BUT they have a wide variety of products, and are conveniently located, so I will continue to shop there occasionally.

I like ulta and usually have good experiences here so Im not going to rate it bad as a company.This girl followed me around the store and pretended to be stocking the shelves everywhere i moved. She asked me multiple times if I needed help and continued following me. I asked her if she thought I was gonna steal and she said she was doing her job but not accusing me. Then continued to follow me... if you have green hair beware that you will get followed. I had no reason to be followed. I just wanted body wash.

Ive been to Ulta before. This locations staff is not attentive and biased. I wandered around for ten minutes looking for someone to help me with a simple question, and was fully ignored. Bad customer service is a not a good representation of how were supposed to heal together after everything thats happened.

After the worst salon experience, because the stylist was in a rush to go home at 4 PM, and after a $200 hair bill, my girlfriend went round and round trying to get a refund. Once one was finally granted she was told she would have to bring her credit card into the store. I drove it 40 minutes each way and after waiting in line and finally getting a manager they ran the refund without needing the credit card. What a horrendous experience from start to finish…

She took time to answer my questions, and show me the correct way to apply it. She was very nice! When I need more make up I would love to come back and have her help me again!

Eric is amazing and professional! If you want a hair stylist who takes their time & does an amazing job, Request for him! He colored and cut my hair. And the end result was amazing! He listens to his clients And is great with detail! I’m so happy & now I’ll always ask for him to do my hair.

Great store but very unfortunately pushy sales associates. I had to tell them I didnt want to register my number during my visit 3-4 times before the transaction was over. Made me very uncomfortable repeating myself so many times.

The staff was so helpful. I was attempting to find agood hair straighten system... the shampoo, conditioner heat protectant, etc. A member of the salon gave a recommendation on a product line. Turns out to be a very good product!! Speedy checkout as well.

I try not to shop at Ulta because their employees are terrible. This Ulta however is amazing. Everyone I spoke with was super helpful and they actually knew what they were talking about. I will be going to this Ulta from now on.

Just mention what you need help with and instantly the csr can make the needed suggestions you need. At 71 I want all the help-suggestions I can get.

I just recently visited this Ulta location and was impressed at how attentive and helpful the employees were. During the time I spent in the store, I was asked if I needed assistance by four different employees. To address the post about the employees only helping customers who are dressed up, I would like to mention I was shopping with no makeup on, hair in a ponytail, and was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. The employees did not choose to help me based on appearance. One associate helped me find a lip care product that was hydrating, a mix of lip care and lipstick. Exactly what I was looking for and I live the product. Another associate suggested a package item that included all of the separate items I was going to purchase and saved me a considerable amount of money. It was a different brand than I had chosen, but the associate said it was a good brand and worked as well as the other brands I had chosen. I hove only used the eye primer from the kit so far, but it does work wonders! This is only the second review I have ever written. I read reviews, but never write them. I felt the impeccable customer service in this store deserves a shoutout.

This Ulta is always stocked with what I need (and with things I didnt know that I needed!) and the staff are always so nice and friendly. Everytime I walk in I get greeted kindly and they always ask if I need any help, but they arent super pushy about it which is awesome. You tell them that youre good and they wont hound you, pushing you to buy things you dont need or want, like some other stores. The store is always clean, neat and well organized. I love this ulta! Its definitely one of the better locations. I highly recommend it!

While i do not use make-up, I do find the skin care products here to be outstanding. I had a horrible time adjusting to the dry weather here and broke out severely. A dermatologist was able to correct it but it was the knowledgeable and helpful staff here that guided me to products and met3to maintain my skin throughout the year.

Recently I was shopping at the store located at FLW and Scottsdale Rd. I was assisted by Julia in the Lancôme section. She was absolutely fabulous! I am terrible at picking out new products and she helped my try several that went perfectly with my skin and hair color. What is usually a chore with wasted $ turned into a productive and fun experience. Julia is a gem at what she does. Very professional but also fun. If you need assistance with product selection or want to be informed on how to apply something new, this is the women you want on your side!

This is my favorite Ulta location of the four in my area. The staff are uniformly pleasant and helpful. The store is convenient, being in the Promenade shopping center, and the layout is great. When I was searching for a natural mascara recently, two different gals assisted me and Im very happy with the brand they helped me choose.

Nice selection of shampoos, facial products etc. Employees, per usual at Ulta, are hands off and generally uninterested in what youre doing. Pricing is expensive compared to other places selling the same items.

Best highlights Ive had done at any salon ever. And I feel thats speaking volumes because Ive added highlights many, many, many times over the last fifteen years. Ive left salons crying, angry, embarrassed, stressed, you name it. Not this time. They were perfectly sectioned out and spread out and the color was a light, light, very close to the white blonde look. A color I always wanted but never was able to attain with other colorists. She took her time, three hours total because I have very thick, curly hair that is eifficult to get through. And it paid off. She had patience and never rushed the process. Only thing that could and should improve, a problem at most salons, she didnt know how to blow out curly hair. Its not difficult and I could teach someone in under five minutes. But it is what it is on that end I suppose.

Purchased Nars eyeliner, got bilateral conjunctivitis by the end of the day. Not only did it cost me time and money, but I exposed my coworkers and family. The manager offered a refund and apology. Not what I would call good customer service.

I love Ulta. If I run out of makeup and need to quickly replenish it, they always have what I need. They also always have nice sales and discount codes from their app.

Ulta reps are always extremely helpful. Im in there a lot, the promenade especially and 9 X out of 10, I do not have any issues. I get my questions answered and the help I need. If I have a return or exchange, theres never an issue. Ill always choose ULTA over Sephora because of their point system.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I came down to Phx from Sedona (3hr drive)for my birthday on May 2nd to do some shopping. Ulta was the first place I stopped. At first nothing seemed wrong till 5 different women asked me if I needed help within 10 minutes of looking around when there were only 4 costumers in the store. I told each one that I didnt need any help. I honestly like looking for myself and I only had a certain amount of time to visit several stores. Theres a difference between costumer service and harrassment. The entire time I shopped I was casually followed. Once I had a few products in my hands a woman asked me if I needed a bag I told her I was fine and she insisted with this certain look on her face. I personally have worked in retail and know the protocols for when you think someone is shop lifting. I swallowed my pride and took the bag and continued shopping and tried to not to take it personally. But as I was explaining a certain product to my boyfriend I looked up and noticed another woman eyeing me down from across the store. At that point I didnt even want to be in there, but I drove so far and didnt want to have to order my products. So I went to check out, even though I was planning on buying more. I told the girls at the register how uncomfortable I felt in the store and they were very sweet and apologetic for the other womens behavior. Im not sure if they were just bored and extreme with their costumer service or if they were profiling me as someone who would steal but either way I felt harrassed.

Not really the stores fault but every location is sold out of thrive mascara.

Arrived 10 minutes early to check in. My stylist- his name is Eric- was still with another client, but he was finishing up. I waited 2 hours PAST my scheduled appointment for JUST a hair cut only to end up walking out. He was still with the SAME client he was finishing up with. Im simply blown away that not once did he say a word to me, not even an apology! Or the fact that I was wandering, waiting to be called back for 2 hours!!! Almost every single employee must have interacted with me twice, asking if I needed anything. Each time I stated I was waiting on Eric to cut my hair.Dont book an appointment with Eric.

Extremely helpful. Janae gave me sample of a cream that she thought would help my redness relief so that i could try it out before spending all the money and it doesnt work. If that isnt customer service i dont know what is. Above and beyond what she could have done. Im not a make-up, face lotion kinda girl so having them there with the knowledge really was refreshing! especially since the 2 other reviews about this Ulta were not good. I was happy. I work right down the street. Im glad the 2 girls that helped me were there. otherwise id still be red faced :-P

Ok i am leaving this review.. Because after 4 months of multiple calls and complaints.. i FINALLY got a call back from DM for elpaso texas Div 3 weeks ago.This after i complained about in Elpaso tx fountains salon. Where manager cancelled on VERY IMPORTANT occasions after 2 years of business. Never spending less than 280$ on hair..not to mention mention my cosmetics.Well the DM i informed after my complaint 89$ in points came up missing mysteriously..The DM said she was emailing me a gift card and replacing my points..NIETHER HAPPENED..IVE CALLED AND ASKED HER TO RETURN CALL SEVERAL TIMES. EVEN HAVE VOICEMAIL FROM A MANAGER IN SCOTTSDALE SAYING SHE PASSED MESSAGE ON..THIS COMPANY AND POLICIES ARE BALONEY.. THE IGNORE YOU..DONT GIVE A RATS PATOOTY ABOUT CUSTOMER CARE.. ALL THEY WANT IS $$$AND ALL YOU GET IS REROUTED TO MANY PEOPLE..NONE TAKING REDPONSIBILITY OR APOLIGIZING.. WHAT A SAD SAD PLACE.. I CANT BELIEVE HOW HORRIBLE THEY HAVE HANDLED MANAGEMENT STEALING FROM CUSTOMERS

Terrible customer service! No one will at least acknowledge you or at least say hi, even if they walk past you.I guess you have to be a skinny, silicone, Louis Vuitton, Lululemon wearing women to get help. Those are the only type of women I see getting help in that store. If you have a question about a product, you cant find someone to answer it because they dont work for that brand. I had a question about a Smashbox eyeshadow kit, but could not find anyone to answer it. I will never shop at Ulta again and will be taking my business to Sephora.This is not the first time I have been in this store. In January 2017 I walked right past a corporate person and was not even acknowledged.

Least favorite location. Every time I come in there, I am never assisted. Staff will literally look at me and then help the customer next to me (who walks into the area immediately after me).Rude.

The absolute worst. Not a single person asked if I needed assistance (which to me is strange especially for a makeup store). I noticed they werent terrible busy (considering there were three girls behind the desks not ringing anyone) so this was just absurd to me. I asked one employee if I could use some make up remover to take off some swatches I applied on my hand. She had the most judge mental look on her face. She looked so confused almost as if she didnt know she was working there. But I did get the make up remover...which was on the other side of the store at the Clinique booth. (You know, Sephora has remover on every isle but I mean, convenience of customers doesnt matter at this Ulta for some reason). It took me a while to find everything I needed because of the lack of employee interests in costumers. I felt uncomfortable walking around and not having insight on all the products. I somehow found the gut to purchase from this terrible store. I got to the counter, the lady asked for a phone number. Straight up, a phone number. She didnt give me a reason, so I ended up asking why (which, again, is strange because stores will usually tell you why they want a number and they also usually ask towards the end of the purchase if youd like to join their rewards program and all that jazz). She then told me it was their rewards program, which made sense to me but the execution of the question was just weird. I then said I didnt want to be a part of the rewards program (I didnt shop for makeup often anyway and probably wasnt coming back to ulta ever again after this experience) and she stared at me as if I was crazy for rejecting the offer. She then rang up the products and then towards the end threw me this rewards card (not like in the air throw but like, a sliding throw so the card ended up next to my bag which was on the counter). She told me it was a rewards card (ok cool) but no other information. I dont know whats on it, i dont know what it does, I dont know how this point system works and I didnt want to be a part of it anyways - thats why I didnt give her my number in the first place. I didnt ask either because I was just so over it. Overall, it was not a good experience. The employees could have and should have been loads nicer. I spent around $40 dollars here and felt awful right after, why? Not because of what I purchased but the fact that a fraction of my money is going to the workers who made this shopping trip a bad one.
