I would give 10 stars if I could! My recent order arrived today. So happy with my purchases! Over several years of ordering from Goodwoods, my orders have been consistently every time: well packaged, shipped promptly, and always correct. During COVID, their product availability has been excellent. Every time there has been an issue with my order, their communication has been excellent. Every issue Ive ever had has been minor and resolved to my satisfaction with a simple, single phone call or email. Its usually a question about a product going out of stock. Last Christmas, I ordered a chocolate Advent calendar. They called to tell me the last one in stock was damaged (bent box, purely cosmetic). Did I still want it? I said yes and when the calendar arrived I had to look very closely to find the damage. I consider that an example of excellent quality control. I am so happy with their products, service, and friendly employees! Highly recommend!
We found this great Brit store in Spring with lots of Brit goods! We had about 20 minutes and found several things to buy. Good selection of Brit foods too. Lovely store.
A lovely British Market with delightful staff! Every time I have retuned they have had new items, they have the most gorgeous tea pot selection I have ever seen!. I am excited to come and visit with them next month!
I have been ordering from Goodwoods for a few years now and am always impressed on how fast the orders arrive. The packages are always impeccably packed with great detail. I especially LOVE the Amazing low shipping cost of only $6.95...you won’t find that elsewhere on line. Last but not least, I enjoy getting the weekly email updates on the all the latest new arrivals. Thanks for a Wonderful service and for providing all of us ex-pats with goodies that we Love and miss. Keep up the great service!! ☘️
Great place, large variety of goodies, awesome people and customer service… highly recommend!
It was so great to see so many British goods in the Houston area in such a quaint little town. We visited for the first time today and were pleased with the large selection of British goods. The owners are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back! Vanessa & Robert Jeter
I have never had a British meat pie before. The Steak and Ale was definitely my favorite.
Love this place! Great stuff. Gorgeous cashier
Great British market in the heart of Old Town Spring. So many goodies that are next to impossible to find anywhere else. Fun little find, definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
You cannot go wrong with this place. I drove over an hour just to see what this store had to offer and I was beyond excited that I made the trip, very impressive selection. For anyone wanting to treat yourself to some authentic English tea, chocolate, sweeties, chips and biscuits stop by and see what goodies you can find. I couldnt believe what I was finding. You will not be disappointed!
We’ve ordered twice from the frozen foods section and our orders have been received still frozen and in proper order with sufficient dry ice preservation. Packaging is NOT kept “minimal” (you definitely get what you pay for) and our pies arrived safe. Never a worry about any frozen items being even partially thawed. Most excellent way to experience a taste of Britain for those of us with little to no available kitchen time for home preparation, and/or specialized grocery shopping.Excellent source for the large bottles of “HP” steak sauce and the large jars of Branson’s pickle (awesome relish for American hot dogs and burgers, steaks, etc.,) which I buy at least two at a time. Irish mustards and other items in glass are expertly bubble wrapped and fittingly packed and nothing is ever broken upon arrival. Puddings are also expertly shipped and arrive in proper order.IDEA; All Goodwoods needs to do now is contact their buddies at STRONGBOW CIDER and convince them to use the Dutch idea of mini and micro kegs for their awesome cider like Heineken did for their beer and our entire world will turn. 😁😁😁Thank you Goodwoods for helping us Anglo-Americans maintain and enjoy this part of our culture. We’ll be back again. 👍
Nice location, decent selection I was just there for the food :)
Awesome shop! my wife and I were extremely happy with our purchases. I was really happy to have found a place where I could buy haggis again! also finding IrnBru was a major plus!
Beautiful remodel on the place. The owner is friendly and is safety minded due to Covid. That is big a thumbs up for me. Really love visiting this store when I come to Old Town Spring.
Was driving by and decided to stop in, and I’m so glad I did! They have such a great selection of authentic British snacks. They also have the prettiest tea sets. You should stop by if you get the chance you will not be disappointed!!
After spending decades searching for proper bangers in the US, my prayers have been answered! Not only are the sausages, pies, crumpets, etc. at Goodwoods of extremely high quality, but the customer service is exceptional, too. Im proud to say that I am a Goodwoods customer for life!
I have been dealing with Goodwoods for many years now and I forget how I came across them in the first place but I was searching for some Typhoo Tea that I fell in love with when I was stationed in England for several years in the 60s. They have always had reasonable prices and quick service and a good variety of genuine British products.
Prices are excellent and lots of variety of UK food and candy (sweets). Prices are great and service is excellent.
They are currently doing light renovations so they can fit even more essential goodies into the store. Dont worry though, they are still open and as helpful and friendly as ever!
Very cute British Market in Old Town Spring. They carried the major British brands and products. I purchased some Jammie Dodger cookies and they were delicious!
Been buying British ‘goodies’ from them for years. Great choices, especially at Christmas (Selection Boxes) and Easter (Easter Eggs) which I have been able to introduce to my American Granddaughters.
The flat rate shipping for dried goods is amazing. Great choice of British sweeties, crisps and bickies. Frozen food is a bit naughty on the shipping fees and I am not a fan of the polystyrene cooler box. ...But everything else is amaze ballz. They have discoint codes at the weekends of 5% and other special holidays theyhave 10% My def go to for a BRIT FIX. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Awesome place. Will be returning many times for teas and snacks. Great selection
Great store! Friendly staff!! Love the rewards!!! We love it!! 👍🏼
So happy to find a shop that is totally devoted to British food and drinks. I have a friend who introduced me to a particular tea brand that I can find very often but I found it here! Theres also a bunch of tasty Walkers crisps flavors to try.
Amazing service! Tons of variety, very healthy layout and good looking as well as good quality products with reasonable. I highly recommend.
This place is awesome!! The prices are outstanding! If you haven’t been, you should definitely go!
Everything was wonderful. Can’t wait to place the next order. If you can’t be in the UK to put things in the post home this is a wonderful option.
This place is amazing. Nice varieties of items such as teas, biscuits and more.
Jolly good stuff.
The recent remodel looks great! Owner is friendly and they have a good selection of British goods.
Went in for the first time today! Super cute store and had a great variety! Prices were actually really good too! I got a super cute tea pot! Man at the counter was super nice and wrapped it and boxed it for me! Will definitely be back!
Who would have thought there would be a shop selling British Goods in Spring Texas? Would have rated higher if was able to negotiate price of what was purchased.
The best shop in spring and they have a great variety.
Fun store to buy British food, candy, teas, and other knick knacks. Treat yourself and help a small business :)
Ordered some English Goodies for my English husband for fathers day. It arrived quickly was not damaged. Basically I was happy with the cost and the shipping. Having to drive over 3 hours to buy these items makes it hard to keep it in our house. So thankful I found Goodwoods! Highly reccomended and will continue to order from here.
Love it!! Been to England many times and this is the best place to shop for authentic British foods!!!
Sausages great pies not so much. Their Steak and Ale pie is not a traditional steak pie, theirs contains veg.
Took a trip down today to get some home treats, the choice of chocolate was minimal and they didnt seem too fully stocked. Not sure if it is because of the virus or not. The gent that served me wasnt very welcoming not even a hello when we we walked in and we were the first ones in the shop, even on checkout he barely said two words and seemed rather grumpy. Maybe its the mask suppressing his personality? Although there were a lot of Tea choices, I think I will keep with the British Depot. They are always friendly and have more choice for my personal preferences. Still glad I stopped by as you dont know until you go. What suits one doesnt suit another.
I normally buy my goodies at British Isles in Rice village when Im venturing that way. Ive even purchased online at the British corner shop. Needless to say, I love my taste of home, and I was thoroughly excited to see this place pop up close to home and save myself the drive.Ive stopped in a few times since they opened and Ive dealt with Alix (?). Shes very pleasant to deal with, albeit always running around (primarily an internet business as they like to point out). Inventory is a little sparse, and not always priced (which is fine, I can ask).Prices are definitely up there, especially if you compare it to basic prices in the UK versus the exchange rate...I mean $4.95 for a pot noodle that costs a pound? But, you have to think of import costs etc. I havent compared them to British isles yet, but HEB prices about the same for the same items, if not 5 cents less.My last visit is what drags the score down, I believe I was assisted by the owner on this occasion, and he was less than pleasant. He rushed me through the purchase because I had to step out for a moment to find a public restroom for my boy, and it looked like I was putting him out. He told me that they closed at 3pm when everywhere I see it shows they closed at 5pm, and I walked in there at 4:15pm.Its quite disappointing considering I was looking forward to continued patronage of a local business, but when youre made to feel somewhat unwelcome, you take your chances elsewhere..HEB in a pinch, and British isles when Im in the area.
Always have what Im looking for when it comes to British food. So glad they opened up in Old Town Spring again.
Friendly people. Nice selection.
We had to pay $13.95 for A bag of Mackies crisps. These are $3.95 on-line and 1.95 pounds in the UK. I always like to support local stores, but this way overpriced.
Amazing shop run by wonderful people, delicious treats and sweets for feeling homesick, great pies and pasties and easily my only favorite part of Spring.
This is my go to shop for ordering frozen food. You can get everything for a proper full English brekkie. Bangers, rashers, black pudding. It always arrives to me still frozen as they ship it with dry ice. I haven’t been able to find a better price for shipping frozen food. $24 shipping cost and it is 2 day shipping. I’ve called in with questions and they are extremely helpful and friendly on the phone. I have been very happy with this company and would recommend them to anyone. Also they have the best Tea Pot selection in Houston!
I like the layout, clean, well stacked, it drew me into different sections of the market, like fresh produce, bread of many types local juices, cheese to die for meats and much more.Almost anything u could find there, it was not hard to find what u were looking for.The prices are very reasonable, with 20 dollars u sure to bring home dinner, and for most mothers thats is their after work objective.
Excellent customer service! And they have Cadbury hot cocoa!
Great place and great people! Felt like home
I love Goodwoods! They have all the candies, biscuits, meat pies, teas, etc. I love that its right down the street from my house.
Want food from the UK? Come here. These people are awesome
Always the best always pleased quality products
Bacon, Lincolnshire and Cumberland sausages were great. Pies were dry and tasted as though they had been there for a while.
Very yummy English food
Simple shop with hard to find items. They will try and honor requested items as well
Authentic British goods. Staff is friendly and courteous.
I got what I needed. Nice small place.
A great place to go when Im feeling homesick and craving some food from across the pond.
One of the best shops to find authentic British food.
Outstanding. Order to delivery 24 hours. Also a product was out of stock(my fault for leaving it so close to Christmas) but they called and offered an alternativethere and then.I would not hesitate to use this company or recommend. Ps. The sausgaes and baco are a taste of home also which is a bonus above the excellent customer service.
Specialty products and good people.
Took me to the wrong addressBut I liked all they had to offer
