I would not recommend a hitch install here. We had to come back three different times. The first because no one let us know the part hadnt arrived, the second to get the install, and the third to get the install fixed. Good luck trying to call the number listed, youll mostly likely get routed to a call center. Then good luck going in the store for help, they will just tell you to leave your number for manager to call you back and, since they never call back... You have to go through the fun of trying to call the store yourself. They will also try to charge you each time you have to go back in because of a mistake on their part.0/10 terrible experience, they really need to work all aspects of service.
Awful. Yesterday I used the service after hours and they gave me the wrong keys in the pickup box. I was on the customer service call for over an hour and a half. I’ve emailed and used the chat on the box. I’ve already been charged for the service and I hadn’t been able to move due to having the wrong key. My service expired at 8:30 pm yesterday and I couldn’t check out because I didn’t have the right keys to do it. If I could give negative stars I would. Today I was told I would get a phone call during my lunch break to resolve the issue and I have not. I’m about to clock back into my work and this has been the worst experience with moving in my entire life.
Awesome people easy to rent and extend your rental. No drama no problems. Easier than a rental car by far nice trucks. Kid friendly. Only takes a few minutes no hassle love it.
Cant give a negative star rating. John messed upy reservation even after speaking with him and than denied it. Filed complaint with uhual since all calls are recorded. Very unprofessional and should be terminated. Lost in my business ho with Penske for honesty.
The location at Glenstone and Blaine is very frustrating to get a hold of someone on the phone. They are too busy. They need more help in customer care. Great location to deal with. For the most part everyone in there is very helpful but you do have some that swear they are working at the White House. If you go in there personally your experience will be much better. Ive dealt with them a couple times and it was great going in there myself. Over the phone forget it. I want it to be known I would give 5 stars for that location and the service they will provide if you go in there personally. 1 star for phone service.
Everyone at this location was great to work with. When I rented a 5x8 trailer it came with a free month of 5x8 indoor storage. Since I had a motorcycle they let me upgrade to a 10 by 10 unit for a nominal charge. The unit was really nice and well-maintained. The day I was moving out I was struggling with an awkward piece of furniture and the Turf Works landscape guy that they hired to mow their lawn stopped mowing to help me out for a second. It was just a really good customer experience from start to finish. Of all the U-Haul places that Ive ever dealt with these guys were the best!I was 3 days late checking in due to an electrical problem that had to be fixed just before I left. These guys were totally chill and totally worked around it. They were very understanding. Hannah made my check out a breeze!!! Im very pleased.UPDATE: I have now rented from this location twice and the team working here are super chill and helpful. Moving is stressful and the Glenstone location in Springfield Missouri really help reduce the stress. 5 out of 5 stars in my book!
I am disappointed and have lost my trust in Uhual at this location.The associate did not do a walk-through or confirm any contents in the cargo area of the truck upon pickup. I was charged a $10.00 Utility Dolly fee when no dolly was requested. There was no dolly in the truck when I opened the roll up door upon site destination. I have my own dolly and did not need one as indicated in the online reservation and upon counter pickup. I was charged $10.00 for moving pads. The seals were not broken when I returned the truck. I had no use for the moving pads. I was charged an additional $14.00 for SafeMove upon rental extension, but the associate on 9/4/2020 stated only $29.95 for an additional 24 hours.
Ive been over charged on my storage unit by $110. Ive been trying to contact the local store # to get the charge removed for 4 days! I keep getting the call center, put on hold (33 minutes, 28 min., 47 min., on and on, disconnected, and told after holding 20 minutes, I need call or go into the local store, (which is the number Ive dialed !) I DID get through to the # on Thursday, when I noticed the pending charge on my account, but the girl didnt know what to do and said I needed to talk to the manager the next morning. I attempted to call and no answer, auto transferred now 8 times! It certainly would be nice if theyd answer the damn phone! I dont believe they are THAT busy there.
Many times I have used this location after today dont think Ill be back . Ill probably go with another company such as Budget rented truck given one bigger than I needed cost extra.They gave it to me with an empty gas tank.Worse experience ever I feel overcharged and upset my whole day with my schedule.
These people are great to work with I use them every time I move which is not often or Im moving someone else.
Easy enough BUT 2things. They have conversation amongst themselves. You are not even sure if they are helping you or finishing their conversation. Both at pick up and drop off.2nd charged me $10 when I had gotten gas he said it was 5/8ths short. Really? 5/8ths.
While the rental process was smooth and I got the truck I needed without issue, truck ran and drove fine, but the return process was a nightmare. After arriving to find a line of three people ahead of me trying to work with a single associate, the second associate walked in and managed to service one of us before another customer came in and said they had a broken truck across the road. Both associates left the building and left 3 customers standing in their lobby waiting for 20 minutes. Then they took 20 seconds to check me out when they finally came back in. Definitely not the service they should be giving customers.
Pretty impressive since the late spring early summer is moving season. The staff were great at explaining the details on what I was renting. And the service was great when bringing it back. I only wish the city would widen the street that you need use to drop the truck off to make it easier to turn in.
Went to pick up a trailer to tow a vehicle that I had made a reservation for, and when I arrived at the store they told me they rented it out to someone else. Apparently they are on the first come first serve model and appointments are just for the fun of it. I kept getting asked if I needed the trailer that day, when obviously I did when I made the appointment got said day...one star is way more than they deserve.
Rented a truck from them when I seen I wasnt going to make the time I was to have truck back I tried calling 3hrs in advance no one answered my call .Went to go unload It they same day I tried calling but they had picked there truck up Went there the next day to pay the extra on truck played another 200.00 and rented a storage unit 204 it was to late to unload truck because they close at 7pm I rented another truck to get a few things out that I needed a bed a potty chair and shower chair pots and pans. Went to return truck because I was out of money .I explained to them I will be in to unload truck in a few days they said thats fine, Went to unload there truck and to put in storage unit I had rented they informed me they had someone to take it off of truck and now they dont know were they had taken it I played for another truck from penski have until 5pm they didnt find our things were out of money so I cant rent the truck another day shouldnt they rent me a truck or deliver our things to new home when they find it if they dont I plan on taking them to court most of the things in there possession is my heirlooms inreplacable utems.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the general manager was kind enough to bring out a step stool for my mother who was struggling to climb into the truck, which was excellent of him
Heres how my night went last night doing mobile pick up..I get there and it took awhile to verify everything on the phone. They give instructions for the lock box code to get the key but the lock box is not working.....AND THE TRUCK WAS SMALLER THAN WHAT I ORDERED AND PAID FOR. Needless to say after sitting there for 2.5 hours on the phone with customer service, I had to return home without a truck and a $80 charge on my card. I still have not heard back since last night. My dad took off work and drove a ways just to help me load the truck last night..oh wait what truck.

They tried to charge me $180, 3 weeks after my rental for some scam wrong destination fee. Locked my CC to prevent it and have yet to hear back. Scamming scum.
Nothing like standing around for 30min waiting to get your propane tank filled for them to fill the guys tank that got there 20 min after you!!! Dont go here the guys working are a joke to busy in there phones or standing with there thumb in there ass! So yourself a favor pass this place and get your tanks filled at the rv shop a block north
Excellent customer service! They did not have the truck I wanted, so they upgraded me for free. Then, there was a slight problem with the truck, so they refunded the entire transaction! They were more than fair. Couldnt ask for better service, thanks!
Worst customer service ever!!!Got my storage unit rented.Gate wouldnt openNo lights in buildingBeam right in middle of unitHired movers n they were made to wait 40 minutes. It cost me and extra 75$. I was told i would get a discount on unit. When i called to get my discount i get th run around. I was put on hold for 30 minutes. First time. Then disconnected. Second time i was put on hold 20 minutes.Casandra was not helpful at all.Still no discount. Horrible customer service.

Terrible customer service. Was told a certain price for the unit and a month later with them knowing I would not be in town for three to four months. They raised the price almost a hundred dollars. Now they are sending me late notice with threatening wording. Having to stop what Im doing and take time off work to travel half way across the states to take my property to anouther location. Will never use again
I set an appointment, at the North Glenstone location, to get a receiver and light kit installed for a job I had the next day. I showed up to the appointment 10 mins early. They took my keys and I waited 30 mins and then they informed me that they were not going to be able to install the receiver today and I would just need to come back. No other option.I called the South Campbell location and they were able to install it. This wasted half my day and I had to reschedule the job I had that afternoon.If you want dependability, promises kept and great service I don’t recommend Uhaul- mainly the store on North Glenstone.

Always overworked. Our trailer didnt get tightened down by their staff and came off as we left the location. They did give me a discount on my rental for the hassle of having to reinstall my trailer in the middle of Glenstone.Double check their work, and expect them to be harried. I prefer the South Campbell location, but these guys take care of me on a regular basis.

Didnt receive my online moving materials order, changed my truck pick-up location last min, forgot to bring out a third of my order and the staff was pretty abrasive. Also they never returned my phone calls...I wish I could give negative stars.
Called and reserved a vehicle with a very nice pleasant woman, told her Id be there a little after 6 and if that would be okay she said sure. Got there at 6:15 one guy behind the counter (very rude and just could not physically or mentally care less about his life or job) and the guy outside cleaning out returned trucks. Four people in line, at 6:40 the guy behind the counter said that the computer physically cant process transactions after 7pm so if he gets to us before then great if not come back tomorrow (worked in retail for years; know for a fact that is never the case he is just being lazy). Then moves so slow on purpose to convense people to leave. By the time I left at 6:50 he had only helped two of those people in line. Used Uhaul before you can process the transactions faster then that, he chose not to. Also could have had the guy outside cleaning the truck stop cleaning and fetched trucks if this place actually cared about customer service. I had a reservation and because these two men hate their lives and jobs my transaction couldnt be processed under 40 min so they said they couldnt help me! If I had the ability to move without Uhaul I would, who wants to spend around a $100 to move on top of all other costs associated with moving residence. This is a customer service business that relies solely on people moving and you cant move fast enough to aid in that?

Prices are a little high but theyre friendly and work really hard to give you good service. I dont see a lot of standing around so it looks like theyre doing their job
Bait and switch plus lied to about the cost of the dolly. They gave me the price for a $15 truck reserving me for a 20 truck which I need. Three people on three separate occasions confirmed the prices with me. The difference is over $100. I came down here from Shawnee, KS to get rest of my stuff from storage and take it back up there. Then the guy behind the counter tells me the call center does this all the time just to get a credit card number.

Worst Customer Service I experienced in a long time. I had scheduled to have a hitch put onto my vehicle. I called the number listed for this location and had an appointment scheduled. I explained to the person on the phone that I am getting a hitch to pull a camper trailer and to make sure that the right wiring was installed with that hitch. When I arrived at the U-Haul location I reminded the Gentleman that was working the counter to make sure that I had everything to pick up my recently purchased travel trailer. I drove almost four hours the next day to pick up my travel trailer just to find out that the wrong wiring was installed. When I called the location to talk to the person that I dealt with the day earlier I was hung up on twice. I decided to drive back to Springfield and have the issue fixed. When I arrived, the assistant manager tried to charge me for switching over to the right wiring. He was outright rude and tried to shift the blame on U-Hauls call center for not relating the information of the correct wiring. This situation was extremely poorly handled by the Manager and the Assistant Manager. I was talked down to, threatened that they would just cut my wiring of my vehicle completely if I would not pay immediately. I ended up paying a part of the repair just to get back on the road to pick up my travel trailer. This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced

EVERYTHING WAS STOLEN. Truck driver for a large Springfield company. I used this place to store all my valuables for 5 years. I returned in June 2017 to store winter coats and get all my summer gear out. My access card did not work. In the office come to find out I wasnt in the system and someone elses name was renting my unit. I keep getting ignored and phone calls not returned. Both by the store and corporate. They are not taking responsibility. BEWARE THIS PLACE ISNT SECURE. Do not leave sensitive materials in your unit. I had done so. Now I fight identity theft on top of losing all my property.
This place is ridiculous! The staff was horrible. Incompetent! When I went to pick up trailer there were 12 employees but only one of them was working. When I returned trailer, two employees, one outside getting someone propane, I waited inside for 20 min, then a guy came out of the back, told him I needed to return trailer, he started typing on computer for 5 minutes, the lady getting propane came in and stood behind me at the counter, next thing I know, I am not being helped he is helping her pay for the propane, they were both rude like I was in the way. The guy working outside came in, and checked the trailer in. I was there over 30 min, for a 5 min job. And nobody had a customer service attitude. Sad...
