We have used this shop twice for transmission related repairs for our Meals on Wheels vehicle. Both times we have had excellent customer service and knowledgeable assistance. They do it right the first time! We hope to continue using AAMCO for our automotive needs.

These guys fixed my car Fast and Furious.. I thought it was one thing and got an estimate. When they got it, and looked it was not what I thought. They were honest and awesome. So refreshing. I will definitely use them again.

Ended up having to go back to them to get the belt they put ok tightened, but overall didnt really take all that long and hey, my car runs, going to update this if the car goes worse for wear because of the changes.

I can not stress this enough they are great everytime I go to them. Whether its big or small they get it right and resolve the issue. It took them less than a day to figure out the problem and then they gave me recommendations and told me it could be 2 reasons for the problem im having and the code I had, a solenoid or the transmission, so do the cheaper one first cause its a good possibility that would fix it .Guess WHAT IT DID.. I had another shop hold my car for a month and accomplished nothing. Aamco had it for less than 3 whole days and resolved the problem..Frank and Howard are nothing short of exceptional. 10 stars .

We drive our van in to have a transmission check done. We had to have it towed back home. I received a called from the shop the day after it was driven to them. The caller said “ We drove your van to see what the problem was. It stopped working and I left it on the side of the road for 3 hours and then had it towed back to our shop” They are the Worse!!! Now I have to have it towed somewhere and fixed.

The car shifts fine no issues in that thus far.The owner was professional and polite.The manager was rude and obnoxious, because I opted to pay down as good faith and the rest in full when I got paid the following week, threaten to charge storage, When I was told it would be a week upon completion. This made it very unpleasant for us.Even though Im please with the work

TOP NOTCH! Great service. We were traveling from Florida in my fiancé’s Granny’s old 1999 Chevy Express Van when it just stopped working properly. Every place we tried to take it to had a 3-5 business day wait time and we have to be back to Florida ASAP. At last hope we were completely broke down and we called Frank at Ammco. He had a tow truck out to us in less than 30 minutes and had our van fixed in just a couple hours! We would recommend this shop to anyone.

The manager, Frank, has earned my trust for being a straight and honest guy. Thats why for major work I drive 35 miles to have the work done. With him, I know that the work being done is what needs to be done, nothing more.

Usually I am very skeptical about going to these big name mechanic shops, but this one put me at ease. One of the workers by the name of Frank, was very helpful, kind, & detailed. He took the time needed to look over my vehicle to sure it was in good standing. Would definitely recommend this location.

An over due review.... roughly 4 months ago, I brought my 2015 Ram Promaster work van in with a transmission leak, my only work vehicle, I was fully prepared to pay whatever I had to for it to be repaired and back on the road as soon as possible. I scheduled an appointment and dropped it off, fully expecting to pay something astronomical, but a few hours later, I received a call explaining it was just a simple gasket leak, they replaced and even did the transmission service I was getting close too mileage wise and had me out the door, not only the same day but for a mere fraction of what I was expecting to pay!!! I will be using this Aamco in the future and highly recommend for an honest and fair experience

I’m in tears as I write this they put a new radiator on my car gave them $817 temperature was still going up to hot took it back cause my mechanic that fix my other car notice the fans wasn’t even working then now I was told I have to pay $420.00 why would any mechanic not tell their customer the truth after they spend their hard working money with them they had no idea the fans was not working if the radiator was fix you guys could have really check things through.Im so hurt frank is very unprofessional over the phone first time I talk to him he was saying he don’t have time for me after I spend my money yes you have to treat your customers right he shouldn’t be working there honestly yes I call him a liar because nothing that was said was the truth the second time I called then he didn’t want me to speak with the main boss Howard saying he will be in Wednesday..I pray things work in my favor cause now I’m out $817 a car I can’t drive cause the fans not working ..Wow!!!...Frank is very rude and nasty don’t take your car to this place..It’s! Not worth getting rip off and treated like your not a human being ..

Fast service great prices

My first experience with AAMCO was good, which was about three years ago. My son had his transmission rebuilt and everything was fine.Well this lasted for one year after a year, my sons car started slipping. I took it back to AAMCO and they said I guess you should have gotten the extended warranty. So they wanted to charge me again to let my sons car fixed. I had already paid 2500 dollars. I think that was wrong because I would have thought that it should have lasted longer. I have learned my lesson. I will not be dealing with the AAMCO in Suffolk, VA.

My experience with Aamco is and has always been excellent. The owner Howard and the manager Frank are very professional and they are an excellent team that will work with you to get your auto back on the road.The manager Frank is very professional and he will insure that you understand your vehicle problems and if they are unable to repair your vehicle they will explain that to you. Frank and his mechanics are professional, intelligent and fast.I recently had my 1989 Ford Ranger transmission rebuilt this ranger was in bad condition and really should have been in Ranger heaven but, Frank and his team of expert mechanics brought it back to life. I’m impressed and shocked. Thanks Aamco - You Rock!!!

Just paid $39.95 for a diagnostic review at AMMCO. Their website says it is free. When I picked up my vehicle, received a blank receipt that I paid for a diagnostic, but no info or printout of what was good or bad. No wonder that have have closed two stores in this area. Dont waste your money, they are just looking to screw people for at least $39.95. Cant verify their work, but I would not trust them to work on my vehicle. They are a ripoff!

Gave me the readings for my check engine Codes and what they mean without any wait or horrendous fees.

These guys are the real deal. I met them when I lost my transmission in my Buick Lesabre, 2 years ago and they work on all my cars today for total car services. Now I was very skeptical at first, thinking ok here comes the upsell and slam the tranny down my throat, not a bit, in fact Frank, who earned my trust and confidence took so much time with me and worked with me and YES... EDUCATED me to make some tough decisions on a old car, and glad we did. Frank even showed me how I could save some money with the tranny repair(What?) Now enters Howard the owner of the franchise, this guy was so nice I was thinking it was a scam, Hardly, in fact, Howard has even assisted us when we broke down out of state and worked with my repair guy in GA on the phone. They stand behind their work. I am very impressed with Howard, the owner, Frank and all the staff at Suffolk AAMCO and I cant recommend them more ! Give em a try and prepare to be serviced. Service and commitment to quality, now thats a dying concept.
