I went for a timing belt replacement and a front axle replacement and I was very pleased with the prompt service among the confidence that for being a women they are not taking advantage of me.I highly recommend this car mechanics. This is my second time going to Johnson Auto Repair and this is my second time being very satisfied. What I love about this shop, they are very honest. I am a woman, that dont know anything about car repairs so they couldve easily quoted me a high price but the price Ive been quoted each time was less than what I was willing to pay ( I had a set price in my mind ).

They always let me know if something unexpected pops up before they do the work so theres no surprise charges when I pick it up. Superb auto repair service. Honest, smart, friendly - traits that are literally rare these days. I had a increasing squeak/chirping on serpentine/ac belt and feared a water pump bearing was dying. To be safe, I asked for suggestions where to take my vehicle to while travelling in the area. I grew up in Tallahassee. Old high school buddies spoke highly of Johnson Auto Repair and they were spot on. I highly recomend them for your auto repair needs and service.

My dad used Johnson Auto for many years . My dad past away in 2008 and for some reason, I had forgot about them. I brought a New car in 2008 and had been having routine maintenance and service done at the dealership. However, upon retiring a couple of years ago, we could not afford the extreme high prices for repairs at the dealership. So we took the car to another repair for strut replacement. We were not happy with the service and end up at Johnsons. They were customer friendly and the initial estimate was pretty much on point. I felt very comfortable with the service and the prices.. I been taking my car back to them every since. This type of car care is a thing of the past. So these dealerships just charge as they please and the customer continue to to suffer in the pocket and you find you are taking you car back every few months for one thing or the other . I had been taking my cars to Johnsons since 1988. The price of the labor seemed reasonable, and I never felt like I was getting gouged on parts. I remember once that they repaired a key blank for free that they had already installed because it got messed up when I let some hack (who they didnt recommend) make me an extra key.Then, a couple of years ago, I bought a new car that came with 25,000 miles of free routine maintenance. The waiting room, at the dealership was comfortable, had free wifi and sometimes they served good snacks, so I continued to go there even after the 25,000 miles ran out.Then one day, I had a non routine issue. I needed a new blower motor. The price of the repair included a non refundable diagnostic fee, $138 for the part and an hour of labor for a total of almost $500. I told the rep. I was going to get a quote from Johnsons.Johnsons said they would charge $95 for labor, after I bought the part from the dealer. I told the rep. this, and told him to sell me the part and that I would forfeit the diagnostic fee.Suddenly, the price of labor was reduced to an amount that made it profitable to let the dealership perform the work and save the diagnostic fee. I let them do it, but from now on Johnsons Auto will be performing all work, routine or otherwise.While both shops have plenty of lubricants for your car, Johnsons is less oily.

My family has been taking our cars here now for three generations. There’s nowhere else we would consider going. Excellent service each and every time!

Straight up honest people, I had a problem with my granddaughters car another shop in Tallahassee had messed up on it and then wouldnt fix what they messed up, I had to have the car towed again....so I asked the towing company who they would recommend they said they use Johnsons so thats where it went. They fixed the problem, were very courteous, honest and understood . I would highly recommend them.....

We have been taking our vehicles here for a couple years now. They are so sweet! They answer all your crazy questions with a smile. Honest. Very fair prices!! Do great work. I took my car to Johnsons Auto Repair shop in January to have the fuel pump replaced and they repaired it within 2 days. Great! Im back on the road. Then the fuel pump started making a weird noise. Come to find out they put in a bad fuel pump, one of the mechanics told me that was the problem and it was still under warranty so no problem. I then scheduled a date for them to fix the problem again. I dropped the car off to the shop on that date. 2 days later I call them to check up on things because I never heard back from them and they tell me we didnt hear the noise this time, so we didnt change it out. By this time Im getting upset because their mechanic had just told me that was the sound and that it wound get worse if not replaced. I have had to go by the shop 3/4 times since because the car has stalled out, not wanted to start multiple times, and the last wouldnt stay started. Final straw! 4 months later, (May) I return so that a mechanic could hear the problem again. He tells me AGAIN its the bad fuel pump, well get it changed out just set up an appointment with Chris. So again, I did. The day was Tuesday, I scheduled to drop it off to the shop the following Monday. May 9th comes and I bring the car in. First the the old man acts like he doesnt believe I have an appointment. Then he tells Their receptionist guy to tell me (while Im standing there) that they are backed up from Friday. Cool. Today is Thursday and still no word on any progress being made. I know its because Im not paying them that they arent in a rush but its a terrible experience for me. I did not hesitate to pay them once they had serviced my car. After they finally fix this fuel pump problem once and for all I will never return to do business with them. Experience started out great but gradually I feel like they just look at me as a hassle. I just want my car fixed with quality parts so that I can forget about this. Gahh.
