Called three shops around town for a quote, Tuffys was the best price. They seemed pretty busy (albeit, every shop in town was) but took my keys and said it would be done by next day. When I called the following day, the associate told me thered been a shipping error and the wrong parts arrived. The work would take another day. Originally, this did bother me, 24hrs without my car was long enough. But when I got in to pickup my vehicle, Dave ensured I was taken care of quickly and kindly. Without my protest or even asking, Dave gave me a discount. Ill help you out; youve been patient with us. Whether Dave knew it or not, hed won Tuffy a loyal customer by treating his customer right without being prompted to. The work done was exactly what I needed at the price I needed... I think they even added some air to my low tires. Highly recommend.

I brought my mothers car to get the alternator checked and sat for three hours without getting helped. I came back the next day and after an hour I was told that I should come back another day. My mother called and complained to David, one of the employees, and he completely lied and said that they checked the car and that theres nothing wrong with it.

Took a perfectly good car to them no problems but a rack and pin. They put a faulty part on the vehicle. They ordered me a new one and put it on and the traction and abs light was on when I pick my car up. I told them and they held me up 4 hours they told me they didnt know what it was and they told me they couldnt fix it. I take the vehicle back they fix one thing and break another. bad mechanics in my opinion.

Love Tuffy. Always quick, professional, and affordable. I am a lifelong customer because of the incredible level of service they have provided me, especially Don Furtys.As just a recent example of this: my 2002 Ford F-250 was having issues with what appeared to be brake fluid leaking from around the calipers. After Tuffy replaced the calipers once, the leak continued, so they replaced them again, free of charge, in case the part was bad. When the leak occurred again, they inspected the truck, identified that it was actually gear oil leaking, and referred me to RPM Transmission for further service. RPM replaced the axle seal, and Tuffy covered the charge for their services. I cant imagine that many repair shops would be so meticulous in making sure I was taken care of. Thank you all!

Looked at my truck and told me what the issue was. When I told them I had a warranty for the part from another shop (out of town), they suggested I bring it back to the other shop to have the defected part replaced for free. Seem like honest folk.

The staff is honest and will hunt for the best deal if you need a part i wouldnt trust anyone else with my truck. I will say if your on a tight schedule like myself definitely make an appointment they get you in and out fairly quickly but they are just that busy it really shows how many people trust them.

Took my daughters car here to replace the starter. They ran into a few other issues, notified me immediately to discuss and fixed everything. Outstanding communication by Buck and David. Well see. Hopefully, the work is good. Had an appointment for 9:30 for an alignment. Discussed several other maintenance issues. Went across the street to shop. Was called with the estimate @ 10:30 for some brake work. I authorized it and felt it was valid. They even had the courtesy to call my regular mechanic. Downhill from there. Never gave me a time estimate. Finally said it would be done by 1:00. Still, just walking around waiting for 3 hours. Walked back over at 1:15, my rep had gone to lunch. At this point they offered to give me a ride home!! My car was sitting in the parking lot. Still had not had the alignment done from the 9:30 appointment. I was very angry. Finally, left there around 2. When I expressed my disappointment, the guy said they have to rotate cars in and out. Never recommended I arrange to leave it there all day and never gave me an explanation for why my 9:30 appointment for alignment had not been honored while he worked on the bid for the more expensive work. He said I should have asked how long the other work would take!?

When I first moved to Tallahassee Florida, it was so hard finding quality maintenance service for my car. These guys are friendly, affordable at very good quality service. I called to get an estimate to have a tune up on my 1999 Ford Econoline E150. They quoted me a price and I hung up and headed over there. Upon arrival I was greeted with a smile and asked what they could do for me. I explained I had just called and wanted to drop my van off to get tune up. 2 hours later they sent me a text to let me know my van was ready. My van had never ran so good and I highly recommend these guys. Very professional and did the work right the first time.

Absolute garbage service and labor. Brought my Ford F-150 into the shop to check my power steering issue and ended up with “faulty parts” less than a week later. These “faulty parts” included a power steering pump and serpentine belt which both broke. After the warranty replacement of the parts, other problems instantly arose around the serpentine belt location. The front desk guy then went on to tell me it was an issue that did not include the code that was thrown when checked at Advanced Auto. Unprofessional and completely trying to pull one over on me........ twice. Call to corporate on Monday

I highly recommend this Tuffys Auto Care Center. They did an excellent job repairing my 2002 BMW 325i(Rack and Pinion). Mr. Bubba and Mr. Don were very professional, thorough, and patient in assisting me with my car. I trust that if I have any automobile issues they will diagnose and repair my car correctly. If you have any automotive issues, I suggest speaking to either one for any of your automotive needs.

Steve is the man. Wanted to upgrade the exhaust on my car but apparently it was rusted. Instead of going ahead and doing it like I asked, he advised me to not take that route since it would cause more harm than good and took me on another cheaper and better route. Rare to find trust and honesty around here but Steve definitely scored a returning customer! Thanks!

It is always scary when you have car trouble away from home. While on our way to St. Augustine Beach the ABS light came on in our car and our brakes started making a grinding noise. Luckily we were in Tallahassee and were directed to Tuffys. They were busy and we had a wait, but they checked it out, assured us it would be safe to drive, and sent us off on our vacation trip with no charge.They were efficient and courteous and we were very thankful, and are glad to recommend them.

Scheduled an appointment days prior to date of service. My appointment was at 8am to replace 3 engine mounts. A job that does not exceed 6 hours max. Not only did I get a call at 1030am after Ive dropped my car off at 8am, I get asked what did I need done again. So, that practically said not only did they not start the work on my car at my appointed time, they didnt even log what was discussed to be fixed. Therefore not being prepared even with a heads up scheduled appointment. Then I call around 230pm because my car still hasnt been finished. They apparently got the wrong parts. Having days to prepare and google to research parts needed clearly shows carelessness and un professionalism. Then they proceeded to tell me my car would be fixed at 4pm (took my car in at 8am). Called back at 359pm. Still not Finished and then proceeded to say itll take even longer and then saying the mechanic is in the middle of it, do you want him to put it back together instead of fixing my car. Another hour goes by, now it is 506pm. They did Absolutely nothing to repair my car. Will not be acquiring subpar service from Tuffys again, especially not a $950 job. Will also be contacting BBB to file a formal complaint against this company.

I will just lay this flat. My radiator is kaput, at another place, I was quoted $1300. At Tuff, they quoted $400，and I paid 400 plus tax. I think you got the idea.People here seemed straight and upfront, which is everything I wanted from a repair shop.I cant be more grateful that they are not a cheater like the other shop.

I think Tuffys is a wonderful and HONEST place for repairs. I now have a lease car so dont have the privilege of their craftsmanship, but I still swing by to get air in my tires once in awhile . I also recommend them to everyone for repairs.

Went to get exhaust work done, the exhaust guy was not there, are you kidding, 1 guy who does exhaust work?Said they would call me when he returns. Must not have returned because its been a few months and havent heard from them.

I had an awful experience. I paid over $600 to get a job done, and I was sent away thinking mechanic did the job properly. I made it around the block and came back with a vengeance. They tried to charge me an extra $100 more dollars to fix the job, which I refused. They repaired it anyway, and no problem since then. I wouldnt recommend anyone to this shop.

I made a appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. They were on time did a great job, for good service and great price this is the place to that your auto.

I went to Tuffys for overheating SBC350 CJ7. I had requested flush and fill (to check flow) and reinforced lower radiator hose. Because they seemed nice and professional I went along with their suggestion of replacing water pump. This should have been an easy diagnostic and I knew flow was poor. $400 later still overheating and they were convinced my engine was blown. They charged me $24 for a $9 hose that wasnt even reinforced. When I returned to complain they were quick to attempt the hose that they had ordered but it didnt work without kinking. They also claimed that it surely wasnt radiator cause all the antifreeze drained out on first visit and when they reattempted the hose that I requested. Draining the antifreeze and putting more in is not a FLUSH and FILL! I replaced radiator myself for $150 and problem solved. Thanks, Tuffys for the unnecessary water pump replacement at $400.
