Serenity Coffee is an often hopping and comfy local coffee shop hidden in downtown Tallahassee. They offer a variety of coffee and a warm inclusive environment perfect for everyone. On top of serving the perfect cold brew, Serenity supports efforts to feed and advocate for community happenings.

This place is the perfect example of people over profit. All of the baristas are helpful, funny, and you can tell they genuinely care about others. My favorite place to be :)

Amazing environment and kind staff. It’s truly a late-night staple. A great place to meet new people and make new connections. Several friendships have formed through this place. The coffee, tea, and kratom are all wonderful. They have a wide variety of nondairy milks, mixers, and syrups. This is definitely a safe space to express yourself as you truly are, get work done, or just have a chat. I can’t recommend it enough.

This place has so much hype, finally made it in and wasn’t impressed. The pictures online look so much cooler than the place actually is. “The vibe” that everyone is referring to is just your typical alt indie over the speakers. Cool art on the wall though.

Serenity is a great safe space for like-minded individuals to gather and connect. I spend lots of time here from studying schoolwork to creating art to having intellectual (or not) conversation and meeting new people. I enjoy their delicious coffee drinks and all of the bartenders are super friendly!

Staff are very nice! Tables and seating areas are clean and the cafe is well lit.

First place I ever tried several types of brews, and they were all delicious.

More than likely my single favorite place in Tallahassee. Great place to go to study, hang out with friends, meet new friends (especially the bartenders), or just try delicious new drink! I randomly stopped in one day when David happened to be behind the bar and ive been going 4-7 times a week EVER SINCE (and David and I are great friends now). Ive come to know the owners fairly well and theyre amazing people who not only care about the quality of their goods, but even more so about the space they provide the community. This is a SAFE SPACE. Very LGBTQ+ friendly from the owners to the bartenders to the patrons. Please do yourself a favor and stop by!

Lovely place, great ambience, very friendly service.

Had a lovely visit with my father and his wife.There was plenty of places to sit and I had order a latte from there.David, their barista at the time, was very kind and quickly fulfilled our orders in a matter of minutes and the beverage tasted amazing. I would definitely recommend a trip here for those who havent already.Also I would like to point out that this is a perfect place to chill out, get some studying in, and hang out with a couple friends. This place is all about cultural divergence and acceptance.

Chill vibe, great poteneny kratom drinks, very inviting and open environment. They usually have every strain of kratom available. My favorite is the gold kratom brew with craned berry juice and violent and strawberry flavoring.

Im very fond of Serenity. Ive spent a lot of time here. Its the only business Ive known to foster a social environment. Ive met a lot of awesome people here that I probably wouldnt have without Serenity.

Overpriced drinks but worth it for the atmosphere

After I had a concussion, this was the first place I tried going by myself since I was pretty anxious about being around other people. It was quiet, welcoming, friendly, and a way for me to try to feel normal during a frustrating & challenging experience. Thank you for offering me a serene environment in which to heal❤️

I love the people here, the baristas are seriously the most down to earth people ever. The environment feels like a cozy home that you can hang out at for hours. Plus, the drinks are delicious! This is a really fun place to go to hang out with friends, or just sit on your laptop and work on some homework. Recommend for anyone who enjoys good music, fantastic people, and lovely decor.

Faith restored

Kind of accidentally stumbled into this place today while walking around after work, and I gotta say, I was really taken aback at just how swanky this spot is. Its really well decorated and the owner is an incredibly warm host. I ordered a latte which was great, and tried Kava for the first time, and I think I might be in love.I really cant recommend this place enough. Ive only got one visit under my belt but Im already looking forward to becoming a regular. Great prices, great drinks, and a great atmosphere make this a no-brainer recommendation

When I first heard about Serenity, I was amazed with the idea of a cultural exchange. My first visit here was in August and was served by a wonderful employee and met some really cool people. The coffee I ordered was amazing and the atmosphere was nonetheless comfortable. Recently I had the opportunity to go back in but was met with an un-welcoming attitude from one of the bartenders. Im not sure as to what her name is, all I remember is she had red and black hair. The attitude I was given completely disregarded the idea of a cultural exchange. Even while off work but still in the bar, her treatment towards others was completely rude and dismissive, making others feel unsafe to speak their mind in a discussion. Personally, even when an employee is off work but still in the business, they are representing the company they work for. Yet, they do not seem to care what is said or done while around customers in the establishment. I have been completely troubled by this and will refrain from visiting here again.

Great place

The coffee is great. I love all the events that they have here. It keeps this old man (32) feeling hip. If I didnt have to be at work at 8 am Id get coffee here everyday.

First time at this kava bar and the staff was super nice! The vibe is great and the coffee is also great. The girl with blond hair made my coffee perfectly and was super patient with our brew choices. 10/10 recommend going.

Stopped in Tallahassee while my band was on tour and was so happy to find such an inviting atmosphere that was like a home away from home! Matt was so sweet and helpful 10/10!!

Great late hours and good coffee, but there were some roaches and they allowed dogs to sit ON TOP of the tables inside the place, which is pretty gross. I was surprised dogs were allowed inside, but the fact that the baristas didnt bat an eye when they saw the chihuahuas just lying on top of a coffee table is just weird. I hope they clean the tables frequently.

Cool vibe.

One of my favorite places to just relax and chat with friends. First Friday here is also really great as they have lots of local artists selling their merchandise at great prices.

They have a cool selection of coffee and tea.They also sell drinks with kraton added. Serenity has a very laid back personable vibe and is highly recommended.

I have no idea what Kava is but the prices are good and the coffee is strong. The vibe is cool, too.

Probably the finest kava bars in Tally. The owners and bartenders are really nice and accommodating and has a much warmer, friendly atmosphere than other bars in the city.

Beautiful café/bar with such an amazing atomosphere!!! I went in knowing nothing of Kava nor Kratom and was walked through my beverage choices by such a welcoming and friendly owner/staff.It is sooo peaceful; a great place to study, have an intimate gathering, or to just chat up some of the wonderful locals you tend to meet in tallahassee:) i will absolutely be back !

Decent drink, service, and atmosphere

Please stock decaf coffee. Thats my only complaint. As far as Kava, I think it is a bit questionable to drink at the moment before more research is done on the health risks associated with it. That is just my two cents.
